After the company reached an agreement with the Family Committee and the Supporters for the Health And Rights of People in the Semiconductor industry (SHARPS), the CEO met with the affected families in person and made his heartfelt apology.

In his apology letter, the CEO said “I have to admit that we have not deeply understood the painful situation you have faced. I apologize for not resolving the situation at the earliest possible.”

Even though scientific correlation between the workplace environment and employee illness has not been proven, Samsung has been working tirelessly to help our former employees suffering from leukemia and their affected families.
