Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that it will unveil its latest kitchen appliances lineup at CES 2026, including the latest iterations of its Bespoke AI Refrigerator. Alongside refreshed designs across the lineup, the company will highlight meaningful improvements to vision-based AI functionality enhanced with Google Gemini and Google Cloud, showing how these innovations simplify everyday tasks and elevate the overall kitchen experience.

Introducing Samsung’s Latest AI Vision–Equipped Refrigerator

At CES, Samsung will present a new Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, equipped with the upgraded AI Vision. The feature’s key upgrade is its functions built with Google Gemini, which marks the first time that it is being integrated into a Samsung refrigerator.

Previously, the Family Hub’s AI Vision feature could recognise up to 37 types of fresh food and 50 types of pre-registered processed food on-device.[1] The latest version ready to be unveiled at CES is built to unlock its existing limitations to recognise more food items, offering a comprehensive and flexible experience.

It is planned to even recognise processed foods without separate registration, automatically registering their names to increase convenience. Furthermore, Samsung aims to use this technology to detect user-labeled items, such as foods stored in personal containers, which can be added to the food list manually.

With ingredients being identified more accurately, managing the food list becomes clearer and easier than before, broadening people’s food-related experiences. At CES, Samsung plans to showcase the enhanced capabilities and new use cases of AI Vision, demonstrating the future of a truly personalised AI kitchen.

Samsung Australia is yet to announce local availability of the new Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub[2].

Enhanced Wine Management with the New Samsung Bespoke AI Wine Cellar

Samsung will exhibit the new Bespoke AI Wine Cellar, designed to incorporate an AI Vision built with Google Gemini similar to that of the Bespoke AI Refrigerator.[3]

When users store or remove wine bottles from the wine cellar, a camera positioned at the top of the unit will recognise the labels and tracks bottles, updating the SmartThings AI Wine Manager[4] accordingly. The system will also be able to distinguish the specific shelf and compartment where each bottle is placed, allowing users to easily check locations without searching manually. Through the AI Wine Manager, users will be able to look up wine information more conveniently and receive suggestions on pairings based on the type of wine in their inventory, making wine curation more intuitive and personalised.

Samsung Australia has not confirmed whether the Bespoke AI Wine Cellar will be part of its 2026 Home Appliance line-up at this time.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced its upcoming showcase at CES 2026, which will be held Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada. At CES, the company will highlight a series of improvements in home living that merge AI-powered customised care and powerful hardware-supported performance. This year, the company is enhancing its Bespoke AI living appliance lineup with smarter fabric care, intuitive temperature control and more convenient cleaning experiences – all designed to adapt to users’ lifestyles through seamless synergy between its devices. Featured innovations include the upgraded Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner, and the flagship Bespoke AI Jet Bot Ultra robot vacuum.

Faster Full Cycles, Enhanced Drying, and Smarter Care with the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo

Following its 2024 debut, the 2026 Bespoke AI Laundry Combo is set to launch with upgrades that further shorten wash-to-dry cycles and enhance drying performance[1]. The Super Speed cycle leverages a high-pressure Speed Spray that improves detergent penetration and rinsing to enable fast and efficient washing, while the newly incorporated Booster Heat Exchanger delivers improved drying performance. The upgraded combo also features Auto Open Door+, which not only automatically opens the door, but also activates internal air circulation after wash-only cycles to help keep remaining laundry from developing a musty odour.

Additionally, the upgraded AI Wash & Dry+[2] uses multiple sensors to optimise performance for each load. It detects the weight to determine the right amount of water and detergent, identifies five fabric[3] types – including Outdoor and Denim – and monitors soil levels in real time. The newly applied Wide Lint Filter features a one-touch design for easier cleaning, and a dual-layer design and large capture area to provide thorough collection of lint and particles. This year, in addition to the original 7” LCD screen model, a more affordable variant with a 2.8” LCD screen and jog dial is also being introduced to cater to diverse customer needs. Bespoke AI AirDresser Now Offers Stronger Wrinkle Care and Smarter Drying

Three years after its predecessor, Samsung’s upgraded Bespoke AI AirDresser is returning with enhanced performance and greater convenience. It features the new Auto Wrinkle Care function, which leverages an enhanced Dual AirWash and Dual JetSteam system to help smooth out wrinkles quickly and effortlessly in busy mornings. The Dual JetSteam also effectively maintains the freshness of clothing by infusing high temperature heat deep into the fabric. Furthermore, the model features an intelligent drying course that adjusts drying time to suit small, medium, or large loads. This ensures optimal drying, preventing over or under-drying and protects fabric quality.

A standout feature is its synergy with the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo. The Auto Cycle Link[4] recommends an appropriate drying course on the AirDresser once a wash cycle ends. When certain cycles designed for special care – such as the Blouse Cycle – are selected on the Combo, the same option is automatically queued on the AirDresser, creating a continuous garment care flow. The refreshed design also includes a sleek One Body Door and 2.8″ LCD screen for improved usability. Pricing and availability of the Bespoke AI AirDresser is yet to be announced in Australia.

Samsung will showcase a new WindFree Air Conditioner at CES 2026

Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner Delivers Various Tailored Wind Modes with Multi Blades

This year’s new WindFree Air Conditioner incorporates AI technology[5] and Motion Wind to address the key attribute that influences customer purchasing decisions, which are wind modes[6]. The number of blades have increased from one to three, enabling airflow to be directed in multiple directions according to user preferences. The Triple Motion Wings create seven tailored wind modes — including Max Wind, which delivers faster cooling,[7] Surround Wind, which spreads airflow evenly; Long Reach Wind, which sends cool air further;[8]and Down Wind, which quickly drives warm air downward for faster delivery of cool air. With radar-based AI Direct and Indirect Wind modes, the system senses user presence and automatically directs or diverts airflow to enhance comfort.

The model also includes AI Fast & Comfort Cooling, which analyses temperature, humidity, and room size to automatically activate optimised cooling. Based on usage patterns,[9] it offers Fast Cooling, WindFree comfort and cold-free Dry Comfort. In addition, AI Energy Mode monitors both usage behaviour and external conditions to minimise compressor fluctuations, helping reduce energy.[10] Samsung’s new WindFree Air Conditioner will be available in Australia in 2026. Pricing and launch timing are yet to be announced.

Bespoke AI Jet Bot Ultra Brings Object and Liquid Recognition for Smarter Navigation

The newly launching Bespoke AI Jet Bot Ultra comes with advanced recognition technologies designed to reduce human intervention and simplify cleaning like never before. Powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing processor, it offers deep learning–based AI Object Recognition[11] to better detect humans,[12] cats and dogs,[13] as well as hard-to-see obstacles like cables or rugs. This model also supports AI Liquid Recognition, allowing it to detect liquid spills[14] and determine whether to clean or avoid them based on the user’s set preference. Additionally, upgraded Easy Pass Wheel technology raises the body and lowers the wheels to climb thresholds of up to 60mm.[15] Samsung’s new Bespoke AI Jet Bot Ultra will be available in Australia in 2026. Spring has officially sprung. While there is a perception that Australians will be dusting off shelves and airing out rooms as part of a ‘Spring cleaning’ zeitgeist; fresh insights reveal a quarter (26%) of Australians are more likely to close the door on a messy room rather than vacuum it[1].

The new insights released by Samsung Australia show that Australian respondents often choose the path of least resistance – and hygiene – to avoid cleaning. Over a third (37%) of 18-25 year olds admit to throwing a rug over a mess instead of cleaning it, while two fifths (41%) let their pet ‘clean-up’ crumbs to avoid vacuuming[2]. In fact, over half (58%) of 18-25 year olds admit to only ever mopping when there is a visible spill or dirt they can’t avoid, and only ever vacuum if they have a guest coming over (37%)[3].

Australian youth aren’t the only Australians with bad cleaning habits. One in five (20%) Australian respondents admit they wait for someone else to vacuum rather than doing it themselves. Alarmingly, double that number (41%) claim to follow the ‘5-second rule’, eating food they’ve dropped on the floor knowing they’ve not mopped for at least a fortnight (49% of respondents). Further, the insights show 18-25 year old respondents are twice as likely than the general population to eat expired food from the fridge (41% vs 23%)[4].

Confusingly, while half of Australian respondents agree that it is important for their air conditioner to purify the air in their home as well as optimise the temperature (50%), just under two-thirds (60%) admit they haven’t actually checked whether the inside of their air conditioning unit is clean recently[5]. This gap highlights that Australians are aware that indoor air quality can impact their health, but aren’t willing or certain of how to follow through on maintenance.

According to Rachel Carter, Head of Home Appliances, Samsung Australia, many Australians still approach cleaning as a laborious manual chore without realising that hours of time and effort could be saved with the help of smart yet affordable appliances. Further, she says there needs to be better education that many appliances clean themselves to help maintain house hygiene.

“As the weather warms up, many Australians are ready to spend more time doing the things they like most with the people they love in the great outdoors. While understandably, staying inside doing housework might not be high on that list, it’s important to schedule in regular cleaning to help keep homes fresh,” said Ms. Carter.

“In 2025, almost every appliance in Samsung’s product range is designed to help save you time and money, so you can focus on what is important. Our Bespoke Jet Bot Combo^TM vacuum can be scheduled to clean and mop the floors while you’re out so you come home to fresh floors everyday. Our range of AI Family Hub^TM refrigerators can track expiry dates on food and suggest recipes so you use items while they’re at their best.[6] The Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo can wash and dry a load in just 98 mins[7] while reducing energy output by up to 60% during wash cycles and 20% during dry cycles via AI Energy Mode[8]. These are real benefits Australians can enjoy today, putting a real spring in their step.”

Bespoke AI Enhances AI Capabilities

Samsung’s latest Bespoke AI appliances have taken AI features to a new level, offering a better living experience in both the kitchen and other spaces:

• Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra: Upgraded with improved AI Object Recognition[8], it can now detect liquids[9], even transparent ones. Samsung Australia is yet to announce availability for this product locally.
• Bespoke AI Washer: AI Wash+ enables a laundry experience that better fits your clothes. It clears the minimum threshold for a Classe A in energy efficiency testing by 65% based on requirements in the European market[10]. Samsung Australia has not announced local availability of this product however has confirmed that it will expand its local range of energy efficient laundry appliances in Q3 2025.
• Bespoke AI Dishwasher: AI Wash optimises the cleaning cycle based on how dirty the dishes are[11], and Auto Open Door allows steam to escape, accelerating the drying process. This appliance is available in Europe only at this time.
• Extractor Induction Hob: Integrating the extractor into the hob maximises kitchen space.This appliance is available in Europe only at this time.

Vision AI Expands to Larger Displays

Samsung’s Vision AI Companion is designed to feel more like a trusted companion – someone you can engage with naturally, and that responds in a human-like way – redefining home entertainment. Pursuing an open platform approach, Samsung is strengthening its partnerships with global AI technology leaders, including Google, Microsoft and Perplexity.

Galaxy AI Expands with New Devices

Starting with the Galaxy S24 series and a commitment to democratise Galaxy AI[12] to over 200 million devices in 2024, Samsung Galaxy has defined a new era of mobile AI innovation.

Now, the latest Galaxy AI experience comes to new products, designed to ensure a seamless mobile experience on a wider range of devices with multimodal capabilities.

By the end of 2025, Samsung aims to bring the Galaxy AI experience to over 400 million devices worldwide.

Experience Future Living, Now at IFA 2025

The Samsung exhibition at IFA will be open from September 5 – 9 at the CityCube, Berlin.

Samsung Electronics is also showcasing a large-scale media art installation created in collaboration with world-renowned digital artist Maotik on a massive 50-meter-wide digital façade at the entrance of the exhibition hall.

New research reveals Samsung smart devices make everyday living wonder-filled

The nationwide roll-out of Samsung’s new AI-powered home appliances and audio visual solutions coincides with the launch of new research which reveals over a third (37%) of Australians believe smart devices bring wonder to their homes alongside art (36%) and beautiful home décor (46%)[5].

For half of Australians (50%), wonder emerges with the convenience of operating devices remotely, while for 44 per-cent of single parents with kids, it’s the potential to reduce energy bills via their smart devices[6].

With an average of 24 connected devices in the average Australian home[7], two-thirds (67%) believe AI-assisted devices could further help to reduce the daily mental load and give them time back to relax.[8] In fact, two thirds (68%) of Australians admit to thinking about chores up to four times a day[9], when they’d rather be relaxing in front of the TV (83%), listening to music (61%), or spending time with loved ones (60%)[10].

“Samsung has been reimagining the role of smart devices for ten years with the goal of making everyday life easier for consumers. Samsung’s connected home ecosystem of Home Appliances bring ease, care and savings to Australians

Building on 50 years of home appliance innovation excellence, Samsung has launched AI Home as a transformative step forward to help Australians unlock ease of use, savings, and new ways to care for themselves and others from home. Using on-device processing with Edge AI, appliances powered by AI Home can adapt to individual routines, and deliver optimised home experiences to suit a diverse range of lifestyles.

In 2025, Samsung has integrated AI Home displays into more Bespoke AI appliances including the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub + and 615L AI Home Side By Side Refrigerator. The AI Home screen extends the core purpose of these refrigerators by transforming them into central smart home control hubs with the ability to connect, monitor and control compatible third party devices connected through SmartThings’ Map View feature[12]. Via the AI Home screens, Australians can also use features like the refrigerators’ Daily Board to receive personalised information and better manage their day.

Complimenting the performance of 400Ws of suction power making the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra the world’s most powerful cordless stick vacuum[13] is an LED digital display. With a quick glance, Australians can see the suction level, remaining battery time, and alerts to blockages in the brush for easy maintenance[14]. With SmartThings compatibility, Australians can also manage the vacuum settings from their compatible smart phone device[15] and receive customised maintenance guides thanks to the Bespoke AI Jet Stick vacuum’s smart-self diagnosis feature.

Samsung has also applied enhanced Knox security to appliances across the line-up to enable Australians to enjoy their AI Home experience with peace of mind. In 2025, Knox Matrix’s Trust Chain feature has been applied to the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub + and 615L AI Home Side By Side Refrigerator[16], enabling Australians to continuously monitor products’ security status in real time through a dashboard. Knox Vault has also been applied to these appliances for the first time, storing user information such as passwords and authentication information in a separate hardware chip to ensure protection.

Samsung’s 2025 range of AI-Powered appliances are complete with Smart Forward which provides continuous software updates including new features to enhance the consumer[17]. Neo QLED: 4K AI Technology delivers crisp clarity in every scene

Samsung’s 2025 Neo QLED 4K line-up is the most expansive yet, including four model series – QN90F[33] (98”, 85”, 75”, 65”), QN85F (85”, 75”, 65”, 55), QN80F (100”) and QN70F (85”, 75”, 65”, 55”) – all featuring Quantum Matrix Mini LEDs for stellar brightness and accurate colour across every scene.

Introducing Bespoke AI Jet Ultra – The World’s Most Powerful Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with up to 400W of suction power

As part of the new Bespoke AI range, The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra boasts an impressive suction power of up to 400W[3] to tackle tough cleaning tasks so Australians can spend less time cleaning, and more time on the things they love. The HexaJet Motor is the key component that helps generate this high suction power. Its unique Hexagon stator structure with a second-stage diffuser and an impeller with the reduced thickness improve airflow and increase motor efficiency, thus enabling up to 400W of suction power. Plus, the motor allows the vacuum cleaner to run for up to 100 minutes on one battery when using Min mode[4].

Intelligent Cleaning Support through AI Cleaning Mode 2.0

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra also introduces the upgraded AI Cleaning Mode 2.0.[5] By sensing the brush load and vacuuming air pressure, this mode can classify a total of six different cleaning environments[6] and automatically adjust the suction power and brush speed for optimal cleaning performance. When using the Active Dual Brush, the soft roller helps pick up large dust particles on the floor while the nylon and rubber bristles help improve performance of carpets[7]. The vacuum cleaner senses corners[8] with the Slim LED Brush+, and by adjusting the suction power and brush speed[9] for the different cleaning environments, it uses power efficiently.

HEPA Filtration System

Complementing this powerful and intelligent experience, Samsung has a filtration system to ensure dust particles are captured when air is expelled from the vacuum cleaner. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra features a Multi-layered Filtration system that effectively traps fine dust.[10] When air comes in, internal compartments like the cyclone and a metal mesh grille filter catch dust particles in succession. As a result, it achieves a filtration efficiency of up to 99.999%.[11]

Another distinctive benefit is that Samsung has implemented HEPA filtration into its Multi-layered Filtration system. With this system, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra captures dust particles as small as 0.3µm, allowing less dust[12] to escape into the air.

The Next Generation of Refrigeration

Samsung’s new 615L AI Home Side-by-Side Refrigerator offers multiple screen options, including a 9-inch AI Home screen that helps manage smart devices in one place, access apps and get personalised information tailored to individual preferences[13]. Samsung’s latest refrigerators include the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub^TM + French Door Refrigerator with a 32-inch screen designed to enhance four key aspects of daily life: Food, Home, Family Communication, and Entertainment[16]. Using an internal camera, the AI Vision Inside feature can recognise up to 33 different food items[17], including both fresh and processed foods, being put in or taken out to help with smarter food management and personalised meal recommendations.

Beyond food management, Samsung’s AI-powered screens transform the refrigerator into a smart home hub, providing seamless control over connected appliances. With Map View, users can monitor and manage Samsung appliances and third-party smart devices, such as smart lights and plugs[18]. SmartThings Energy helps track and optimise energy usage, while Bixby voice assistant delivers personalised assistance by recognising individual family members’ voices[19].

The Daily Board feature enhances family communication by displaying real-time updates, schedules, and daily energy reports. Families can also access a shared gallery for storing memories and a digital calendar for easier planning. And if that person also uses the low vision option on their Galaxy smartphone, it will be automatically synced to the screen for a better viewing experience.

New SmartThings services have also been introduced including Family Care,[23] which sends an alert to other family members if a user’s movement is not detected at the set time — or if there is no activity for a certain amount of time after the last activity. It is also possible to use the robot vacuum cleaner to look for signs of an emergency, with all of this functionality being tightly secured by Samsung Knox.

Supporting voice control via Bixby[3], the screens on Samsung appliances showcase essential information about the task such as internal temperature or washing cycle information, in an intuitive and straightforward way. Moreover, the Map View feature is a key differentiator, allowing the screens to function as simplified, convenient control hubs where users can monitor and control their connected appliances[4] from a single screen. Lastly, the screens provide various entertainment features through internet connection, expanding the roles played by home appliances within the domestic environment.[5]

In the kitchen, to complement the refrigerators with 21.5” and 32” Family Hubs[6] that are currently available, Samsung is unveiling the Bespoke Refrigerator with 9” AI Home, which caters to consumers seeking the Family Hub’s advanced features in a more compact size. Strengthening its role as a controlling hub, the updated Map View allows users to select modes for connected devices like the air conditioner and robot vacuum[7], and can be accessed directly from the home screen. Moreover, the 9” AI Home also functions as a hub for controlling third-party smart devices that are compatible with SmartThings, like lights and smart plugs[8]. Alongside these functionalities, users benefit from seamless access to features like SmartThings Energy[9] and built-in entertainment options.

Expanding Screen Solutions Across Various Product Categories

As an expansion of the availability of the AI Home screens in laundry products, Samsung is introducing the Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo’s 7” AI Home screen to this year’s new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer set. This screen makes laundry more efficient and convenient with intuitive menu navigation, real-time updates on washing cycles, and energy monitoring[10]. These advancements, along with helpful features like the aforementioned Map View⁸, enrich day-to-day experiences that users have with their appliances. In certain markets, the Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo is also launching with a more compact 4.3” screen[11]. By adding the AI Home to a wider lineup and adopting diverse screen sizes, Samsung is continuing to expand options and choices for a wide variety of customer needs.

The 7” AI Home is also coming to cooking appliances as the Bespoke Wall Oven in the North American market now features a 7” AI Home screen, which was enabled through an over-the-network (OTN) Smart Forward update to an originally simple 7” interactive LCD screen[12]. The upgraded oven now features enhanced recipe recommendation[13] features and connectivity features that make for a truly ‘AI Home’. The AI Pro Cooking which originally recognised ingredients and recommended recipes for 80 guided cook menus, has now been upgraded to also feature ‘Customised Cook’ allowing users to add certain recipes they cook often[14]. The screen display’s pop-ups[15] recommend users to save the oven settings for frequently-cooked recipes, which users can also do manually after single use. Furthermore, key apps of the AI Home such as Map View, Gallery, and Weather have been added, allowing the Wall Oven to also function as a smart home hub and entertainment source. This upgrade modernises the user interface and aligns the appliance with Samsung’s broader smart ecosystem.

Availability of Samsung’s new 9” AI Home on Bespoke refrigerators and 7” AI Home for the Bespoke AI Washer & Dryer set are yet to be announced in Australia.

But Samsung hasn’t stopped there. This year’s Bespoke AI Laundry Combo offers an entirely different experience, featuring a newly arranged version of “The Trout” with an orchestral twist.

Bo Kyung Kim, a Sound UX designer for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, shared her insights into the inspiration that went into the design: “Samsung considers sound to be crucial, not just as a functional element but as an integral part of the customer experience and beyond. We redesigned these sounds to go beyond functionality — delivering our brand identity while also aligning with user preferences.”

Bo Kyung Kim, a Sound UX designer of Samsung DA, says that Samsung puts importance on sound to enhance user experience.

“The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo features an orchestra-themed soundscape along with 11 newly added themes designed to captivate consumers’ senses. By selecting a preferred theme, users can personalise power on and off sounds, end-of-cycle alarm and timer notifications.”

Kim explained further, “Creating a sound UX includes theme composition, overall strategy, instrument selection, and consultation with developers to ensure hardware implementation. This was a year-long development journey that certainly had some challenges for us to overcome.”

For instance, when working on “Guitar in the Night Breeze,” the team decided to use acoustic guitar to convey the feeling of a cool evening breeze. However, once the sound was completed and tested on the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, it did not resonate as expected. They had to adjust the echo and reverb levels accordingly, and they carried out continuous consumer surveys to gauge how people felt about the sound as well as the imagery that it evoked.

Moving forward, the Sound UX team plans to create and apply preference-based sounds to other products besides the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo. As Kim put it, “We want to hear people say things like, ‘Oh, this is a Samsung sound!’ and ‘I love that Samsung sound.’ We are really trying to bring joy to people’s daily lives as they use our appliances.”
