An Exceptionally Intelligent Cleaning Experience with AI-Based Cleaning

Harnessing Samsung’s AI Optimum Tech, both the Bespoke Jet AI 280W and 250W models feature an all-new AI Cleaning Mode which provides an effective cleaning experience while catering to a diverse range of floor environments within the home. The Bespoke Jet AI is also Samsung’s first cordless stick vacuum to feature an AI verification from UL Solutions, a leading independent safety science organisation, due to the ˋAI Optimum Techˊ AI Algorithm Verified For Classifying Flooring Type & Controlling Settings[4].

Via AI Cleaning Mode, the Bespoke Jet AI is designed to detect the brush load it has encountered through its suction motion controller, as well as the air pressure through its pressure sensors. Settings are analysed to classify the floor type the vacuum is placed on, and the resulting algorithm is automatically applied to provide the optimal suction power and brushroll speed[5]. Clean Experiences With An Upgraded Integrated Clean Station

The Bespoke Jet AI’s upgraded Integrated Clean Station harnesses Air Pulse technology to automatically empty the dustbin for quick cleaning. When the dustbin is being emptied, the Integrated Clean Station’s Air Spin Edge technology swirls the Spinning Cyclone, removing remaining debris such as hair that may get stuck in the dustbin’s grille.

The enhanced Integrated Clean Station can automatically shut its cover after every disposal and offers a more powerful dust management performance with a 99.999% Multi-layered Filtration System[8] for trapping fine dust[9].

Samsung Electronics Australia today announced the launch of the Bespoke Jet, a cordless vacuum cleaner with an Integrated Clean Station that delivers a powerful and hygienic clean. In addition to its Integrated Clean Station, a dock that automatically empties the dustbin and charges your vacuum cleaner, the Bespoke Jet is lighter and equipped with a more enhanced Digital Inverter Motor[1] for an even more powerful clean.

Hygienic Cleaning Performance

The Bespoke Jet features the Integrated Clean Station, which helps keep a user’s space hygienic while cleaning. When docked, the Integrated Clean Station is able to empty its dustbin automatically without any fine dust particles escaping[2] thanks to Samsung’s unique Air Pulse technology. It also charges the Bespoke Jet vacuum cleaner at the same time.

The Multi-Layered Filtration System makes sure that only clean air is released from the Bespoke Jet during cleaning. As air is sucked in, the main cyclone separates large dust particles, which are then picked up in a metal mesh grille filter. A micro filter then catches fine dust particles, and finally, a fine dust filter traps micro dust[3] that can easily escape. All the parts and filters are washable, so they can be kept hygienically clean.

Powerful Cleaning in a Lightweight Design

Whether it is being used on hard floors or carpets, the Bespoke Jet provides maximum suction to get the job done efficiently. The on-board Samsung Digital Inverter Motor is 47 percent lighter than the Jet 90’s motor[4] and generates 210W[5] of suction power.

Featuring a high-efficiency, multi-cyclone structure the Jet Cyclone technology creates an optimal air path to minimise air resistance and the loss of suction to hygienically trap fine dust particles sucked into the vacuum cleaner.

The handheld body of the Bespoke Jet weighs just 1.44kg, light enough to swiftly maneuver and easily clean those difficult to reach areas such as the tops of cabinets or under the sofa.

Cleaning Made Convenient

 The Bespoke Jet features a convenient LED Digital Display that provides you with all the information you need at a glance including your suction level settings and remaining battery time. It also provides error alerts, such as clogging, objects stuck in the brush, or missing filters, and provides a guide to help you fix the problem.

The Bespoke Jet also has a large capacity battery to support its high specification features. It can run for up to an hour[6] and when time’s up, you can easily swap in the spare battery that comes with the vacuum[7] to extend your cleaning time up to two hours. Samsung’s unique technology also ensures that the battery retains 70 percent of its original performance throughout up to 500 cycles.[8]

Bespoke Jet also comes with a range of accessories for a total cleaning solution across different surfaces including hard, carpet, tiles and specific tools. It also features an ergonomic telescopic wand with adjustable height to get into hard to reach areas. All the different attachments can be easily stored in the new accessory cradle, which includes a convenient handle for simple storage and portability.

The Bespoke Jet Elite Extra also includes a Spray Spinning Sweeper[9], featuring dual spinning wet pads that rotate for up to 100 minutes[10] to deliver stable, effective cleaning for hard floors. The Spray Spinning Sweeper has an easy-to-maintain 150ml water tank, so you can manually spray more water for a convenient experience.

The study, conducted in May, explores the common trends in homes around the country and the behaviours and attitudes which continue to evolve the more time we spend at home. This year’s research uncovers a house-proud nation obsessed with cleaning.

“Our daily routines have changed over the last twelve months and our homes will be never be the same,” explains Jeremy Senior, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia.

“For most, home is a safe haven. It’s where we stay connected, our classroom, our office and our cinema/ entertainment hub. Our latest research reveals Australians have become more obsessed than ever with cleaning and decluttering. We have updated our appliances to be more efficient and with our change in daily routines we have adopted ‘chore snacking’ – doing smaller more frequent cleans rather than saving-up lots of tasks for the weekend.

“As a house proud nation, seven in 10 have said that having a cleaner home provides a barrier of comfort and safety as we declutter and dial up cleaning their spaces, surfaces and air in the home.”

“As we adopt new routines, technology is here to support and give families back time for activities they love. Time together with the family around the TV proving the key escapism and reward from our chores, work and schooling.” concludes Mr. Senior.

Obsessed with cleaning

Over the last year, one quarter of Australians have changed their cleaning routine as they adapt to more time living and working at home. Almost one-third of Australians now consider themselves ‘obsessed’ with cleaning (29%), increasing to 44% for young families and 43% amongst millennials.

The research also found that 34% of Australians are doing a ‘deep clean’ at least weekly and over half (64%) are cleaning around the home daily.

Having a clean home also makes 3 in 4 Australians feel less stressed, while 7 in 10 say a clean home makes them feel safe. For those obsessed with cleaning, 72% think their home is one of the cleanest they know.

New routines

Stress has been reduced from tireless chores thanks to ‘chore-snacking’. 60% admit they are doing smaller, more frequent cleans of the home each day – helping Australians feel on top of the cleaning and giving them more time back at the weekend for activities they love.

To support their new ‘chore-snacking’ routine, 38% of Australians have purchased a new appliance to make cleaning easier.

Working from home has also allowed over half of Australians to catch up on chores and feel more in control; with 22% washing dishes, 18% vacuuming and 24% admitting to doing more laundry during work hours or lunchbreaks.

A return to the traditional

With ‘chore snacking’ alleviating time pressure at the weekend, a quarter of Australians are turning to the kitchen as a form of relaxation, while mealtimes have become increasingly important as a time to reconnect with loved ones (43%, higher for young families at 60%).

61% of Australians also admitted they would rather have a good home cooked meal than go out for dinner, and 2 in 5 said they are cooking more meals from scratch in the past 12 months – higher amongst young families (50%).

With more time, and a greater connection to home, many Australians are finding comfort and entertainment in generation-old traditions. 1 in 2 are partaking in activities such as knitting, cross stitching, embroidery, crochet, jam making, and baking with 56% of Australians doing at least one of these in the past 12 months.

Enjoying spending time together (and apart)

34% of Australians say they watch TV to share time together with others, and 69% prefer to watch movies with others – cementing our desire to connect with family and friends in the home. The research also revealed the average household has three TVs, and whilst the primary purpose of the living room TV is to spend time with others, 46% will retreat to the bedroom to watch TV away from others.

31% of Australians have TVs in the bedroom where they unwind and watch their ‘own’ shows without judgement or interruption – with reality TV (42%), news (42%) and documentaries (46%) proving the most popular to watch solo.

About the Australians@HOME research

The Australians@HOME research by Samsung seeks to uncover the role technology plays in helping make Australian lives easier, taking the pressure off household chores and helping to save time through effective use of appliances and food storage.

The 2020-21 Australians@HOME research is the third study conducted following similar research in 2015 and 2017, and seeks to support Samsung in its ongoing efforts to understand the lives of Australians. This research was in field in May 2021 (sample: n=1000 nationally representative on age, gender and state among people aged 18-75) and was conducted by third-party research agency Fiftyfive5.

Samsung’s advance filtration system is designed to capture up to 99.999%[2] of dust and allergens, including 0.3~10µm sized particles to protect the health of its users[3].
