New Functionalities Alter Kitchen Experiences

The Smart Forward updates introduce an array of new functionalities designed to help enhance the user experience and appliance performance. The Family Hub, a touch screen panel installed on the 4-Door French Door Refrigerator[4] for food management, entertainment and communication, will now come with Quick Share, Buds Auto Switch [5] and Fridge Call[6], new features that are designed to significantly improve connectivity and usability.[7]

Quick Share makes sharing memories and recipes while in the kitchen easier than ever by allowing users to quickly send photos to the Family Hub screen directly from their mobile device[8] with just a few clicks.

Finally, Australians can receive phone calls with Fridge Call directly on the Family Hub using its microphone and speaker, eliminating the need to move to a different room to find their phone. This is especially convenient when users’ hands are occupied to cooking, cleaning and dishwashing, making it much easier to multitask while remaining connected. Perhaps best of all, these new features will be available on refrigerator models with Family Hub produced from 2017 onward rather than new models only.

Quick Remote,[9] an additional feature in which a user’s mobile phone becomes a remote control for connected Samsung appliances, is being expanded across refrigerators produced since 2023, regardless of whether they include a Family Hub screen or not.[10] Other connected appliances include washing machines and air conditioners also produced since 2023.[11] All users need to do is simply move close to a SmartThings-connected appliance,[12] and a remote control menu for the appliance will appear on the quick panel of the Galaxy phone screen being used. This seamless integration ensures that users can control their home environment with ease.

Future-proofing Home Appliances to the Next Level

Apart from making the user experience more seamless, Samsung is also focused on future-proofing existing appliances. The upgraded Bixby[13] will understand commands with multiple intentions and remember the most recent conversation.[14] This advanced functionality transforms the way users interact with their appliances, making voice commands more intuitive and responsive.[15] Samsung is also providing the update to two products launched in Australia in 2024: Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and, Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI.

Additionally, Bixby now opens doors for 2024 refrigerators with Family Hub upon verbal request, without the need for wake-up commands like “Hi Bixby.” Users can simply say, “Open the refrigerator door.” This functionality offers users an incredible level of convenience and hands-free operation.[16]

Safer Use and Low Energy Consumption[17]

In terms of safety and energy-savings, Samsung is rolling out updates to older models — including refrigerators made as far back as 2021 — because the importance of safety does not diminish with time.[18]  After an event of a power outage and once resumed with power, refrigerators are designed to detect and notify users via the SmartThings app when internal temperature is high, making users aware of potential issues that could affect the freshness of their stored food.

Additionally, users can now choose different chimes for open door notifications, giving them greater control over their appliance settings. Furthermore, users can maintain a peaceful home environment by putting ice makers in sleep mode, preventing them from working during the night and creating the disruptive sound of ice falling into the tray while users sleep.

Bespoke AI Heat PumpCombo will also see an Optimal Scheduling function added. This feature delays the start of the appliance to not have it run during peak energy usage hours or periods of high carbon intensity has been added to Bespoke AI Heat PumpCombo[19]. Additionally, the 7-inch AI Home on the Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo is designed to automatically switch to power-save mode during wash cycles, further assisting with smart energy savings.[20]

These updates reflect Samsung’s broader strategy of providing value to customers by enhancing the products they already own. By continuously improving the functionality and performance of its appliances, Samsung ensures that users do not have to worry about their devices becoming obsolete. This approach not only helps safeguard customers’ investments but also aligns with the company’s efforts to reduce the need for frequent replacements.

Samsung’s updated home appliances will be showcased at IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany, from September 6 to 10, where visitors will be able to see and experience each feature.

Samsung Food is a holistic food platform available on various Samsung devices, including and beyond home appliances. Samsung Food+, the premium subscription service[3] of Samsung Food, elevates the experience by integrating a health profile and goals, providing personalised meal plans with recipe recommendations. And now, AI is being added to bring streamlined benefits to consumers around the globe.

Samsung is making food preparation more convenient by rolling out the Vision AI technology for Samsung Food+, which allows users to add items to their Food List by simply snapping a photo of their food items with a smartphone. This functionality means that users owning Bespoke refrigerators with a Family Hub screen[4] without AI Vision Inside — the internal camera that recognises food items that goes in and out of the fridge — can now also easily add items with photos to their Food List.

Other benefits of the Samsung Food+ subscription service include automatically adding purchased ingredients to the Food List when users check out at the store or online, and searching for recipes based on the contents of the Food List. Users can also get alerts to help them use the items before the manually set use-by-date, helping reduce food waste.

Samsung Food+ further provides the meal plans based on users’ Food List to support sustainable food practice goals by personalising each plan based on the ingredients in users’ Food Lists, prioritising those nearing use-by-date. And with the new “Search with Your Food List” feature, recipes using the ingredients listed in their Food Lists will show on top of the search results to help users with ideas on what can be made with what they have. Samsung Food now features enhanced tools designed to support users to better maintain their health and to reach wellness goals. The platform provides nutrition-focused meal plans that track and monitor caloric intake within daily meal schedules, whether for recipes or individual food items. It offers “Tailored for You” plans[5], delivering weekly recipe and snack recommendations based on users’ nutritional needs[6], chosen diets and previous recipe preferences. The system tracks macronutrient intake within daily meal plans and allows customisable calorie and macronutrient targets for individual health objectives. While Samsung Food users receive three days of recommendations per week, paid and subscribed Samsung Food+ users benefit from a full week of recommendations, with the intelligent platform also factoring in the manually set use-by-dates of ingredients.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today shared its vision for how artificial intelligence (AI) technology can help enable people to experience their devices more intuitively and conveniently than ever before. Presenting these ideas at a press conference at CES® 2024, Samsung teamed up with key partners to outline the technology behind this vision and how new products and services use AI capabilities to help make life easier.

Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, opened the press conference by describing how AI will enable connected technologies to improve people’s daily lives while always remaining nonintrusive and “in the background.” The strategy that he and others outlined focused on the role of AI in enhancing connected experiences that are both simple and useful. Throughout the press conference, Samsung presented a number of products and services that help achieve these aims.

“With the emergence of artificial intelligence, smarter, better experiences will redefine how we live,” Han said. “Samsung’s broad portfolio of powerful devices, along with the pursuit of open collaboration, will help bring AI and hyper-connectivity to all.”

AI-Enabled Visual Display Products and Digital Appliances Bring New Experiences to the Home

During the CES press conference, Jonathan Gabrio, Head of Connected Experience Center at Samsung Electronics America, outlined the ways in which AI technology is transforming how Visual Display products and Digital Appliances are used. For example, Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D boasts a built-in AI Processor, NQ8 AI Gen 3, equipped with an 8 times greater AI neural network and a two times faster NPU than its predecessor. Thanks to the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, Samsung Neo QLED 8K can automatically upscale content to provide users with up to 8K quality viewing experience and sharpens fast-moving images via AI Motion Enhancer Pro[1]. The Samsung Neo QLED 8K also features Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which analyses voice and background noise by AI to optimise your TV listening experience so you can enjoy various content as if you are in the front row of a stadium or movie theater. Samsung Neo QLED 8K also features Tizen OS Home, which offers the latest apps, services, personalized content, and service recommendations to heighten your entertainment experience[2].

As for viewers with different needs, Samsung also provides innovative accessibility features. A sign language feature in Samsung Neo QLED can be easily controlled with gestures for the hearing impaired, and an Audio Subtitle feature turns text subtitles into spoken words in real-time for those with low vision.

Furthermore, Samsung is introducing the new The Premiere 8K, a projector that features a 150-inch display, and wireless transmission. With The Premiere 8K, users will be able to enjoy a full-scale viewing experience like that of the cinema in the comfort of their own homes.

As for sound, Samsung also introduced Music Frame, a speaker with a customisable cover (sold separately) that can integrate seamlessly into users’ homes. Via Q-Symphony, the Music Frame syncs with compatible Samsung TVs and soundbars, bringing rich bass and surround sound of dual built-in woofers to the home with minimal effort.

Samsung has also made major upgrades to Ballie, the rolling AI robot first introduced at CES 2020. Ballie has now evolved into your AI companion capable of interacting with other smart devices to provide customised services such as taking care of bothersome tasks or projecting images and videos on walls so that users can view key information for their daily lives such as weather or other relevant content wherever they are[3].

To enhance kitchen and food experiences, Samsung is unveiling the Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+[4] [5]. This refrigerator boasts a 32-inch screen that features the new AI Vision Inside[6], which uses an internal camera to recognise up to 33 different food items that are put into and taken out of the refrigerator and suggests recipes using those ingredients. Users can also set “use by dates” on the Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub screen for food items, which then allows the refrigerator to send a notification when the set date draws near[7]. By conveniently helping to save money by reducing food waste. The Anyplace Induction range takes AI connectivity a step further, as recipes saved on Samsung Food can be shared to the cooktop’s 7-inch display so that users can easily follow along while cooking[8].

Samsung’s AI technology extends to appliances beyond the kitchen, as well. The new Bespoke AI Laundry Combo — an All-in-One washer and dryer — features the AI Hub[9][10], which is a 7-inch LCD display that acts as an intuitive control center for managing laundry, allowing users to enjoy a simple washing and drying experience. It can personalise washing and drying by remembering users’ habits and using machine learning to suggest cycles. Meanwhile, Samsung’s upcoming vacuum and mop robot cleaner, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo[11], utilises AI technology to provide aconvenient, effective cleaning experience. With AI Object Recognition upgraded from Samsung’s previous robot cleaner lineup, it will be able to distinguish more objects, as well as detect stains and spaces[12]. The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo can also recognise the type of floor it encounters — along with carpet length — and adjusts its settings accordingly.

Samsung Reveals Galaxy Book4 as Company’s Most AI-Ready Laptop Series Yet

Samsung has been elevating what a PC can do and has been collaborating with Microsoft to create new, seamless connected experiences. Now, these experiences are being advanced further with new connectivity features that make the Galaxy Book4 series smoother, smarter, and more adaptable, reinforcing Samsung and Microsoft’s commitment to providing the best PC experience possible[13].

Using intelligent, intuitive AI capabilities, Microsoft Copilot[14] connects the Galaxy Book4 series with a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone to make them work seamlessly together, so that it feels like just one device. Microsoft Copilot can find, read or summarise text messages from a user’s Galaxy smartphone and even automatically create and send messages on a user’s behalf directly from the PC. Without having to turn on the smartphone and open each individual app, the Galaxy Book4 series can access smartphone functions and information more quickly and intelligently.

The Galaxy Book4 series can now turn Samsung Galaxy smartphones’ powerful camera into a PC webcam[15], using it for video calls on virtual conferencing apps. Users can switch freely between front and rear cameras with just a click on their PC, and it also offers a variety of features from Galaxy smartphones – including Background Blur and Auto-framing – that help focus on the speaker’s image in any environment.

Through tight, ongoing collaboration between Samsung and Microsoft, more intelligent capabilities will continue to be made possible on the Galaxy Book4 series, with the above connectivity features being available starting from March.

Plus, the Galaxy Book4 series can be paired with other compatible Galaxy devices beyond smartphones. Tab S9 Ultra can be used as an additional PC monitor, and users can enjoy crystal-clear sound quality with low latency when the PC is connected with Galaxy Buds2 Pro. With all these capabilities and more, the Galaxy Book4 series is designed to deliver the best PC experience possible.

Better Connecting Users and Devices through Spatial Intelligence

Jaeyeon Jung, Executive Vice President and Head of SmartThings, highlighted the exciting new ways in which AI technology is impacting the relationship between users and their devices, including Samsung’s vision for SmartThings: The more Samsung devices a customer uses, the smarter those devices become and the better they can understand and support daily life.

Spatial AI is the key to enabling this vision, by helping devices understand the living space and routines of the user, thus enabling a personalised home management experience. SmartThings uses LiDAR[16] on connected devices like robot vacuums to create digital floor plans so users can easily check the status and location of all their devices.  And in March, SmartThings will roll out the upgraded 3D Map View for a more detailed experience on Samsung smartphones and TVs[17]. Furthermore, a simple QR code will allow users to add family and friends to their SmartThings ecosystem, so that every member of the household can create their own routines.

Using smart sensors and AI, SmartThings will be able to detect unusual circumstances, such as a fall, and send alerts to designated family and caregivers[18].  Also, thanks to the Galaxy SmartTag2, users can track their pets’ activities and digitally store contact information by attaching the tag to a collar or harness[19].

Another point EVP Jung discussed was how the Bixby voice assistant is allowing smart homes to become more dynamic with its enhanced AI capabilities. Bixby can now automatically route commands to the most appropriate devices based on an understanding of the user’s location and activities.  Key technologies like Multi Device Wakeup combined with a shared communication protocol, enable Bixby to listen to commands with all the devices in a room but then only perform the requested action on the most relevant device. So if a user is in the kitchen watching a recipe video on their Family Hub, and they can call out, “Hey, Bixby! Play music!”  At that point, music will play from the user’s smart speaker, but the recipe video will continue to play on the Family Hub, uninterrupted.

The TV, with the Samsung Daily+ service, will increasingly become a central hub for much of this smart home functionality, while also granting access to a variety of additional services. These include video calls through ConnecTime[20], video veterinary consultation services[21], and Workout Tracker[22] — through which workout data can be transferred to Samsung’s smart watches. Samsung also announced the new Daily Board service[23], which displays useful information about users’ homes, such as the weather or a live security camera feed from a home security system without the TV even being turned on.  As is the case with SmartThings features, users can also access this information via voice command.

Bringing the Home and Car Closer Together With Home-to-Car Capabilities

Samsung also announced developments in the automotive industry, starting with a partnership with Hyundai Motor Group.  Samsung and Hyundai have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which was announced ahead of CES 2024. Under the agreement, users will have access to Home-to-Car and Car-to-Home services[24], courtesy of SmartThings connectivity. Haeyoung Kwon, Head of Infotainment Development Center and SDV[25] Execution Sub-Division at Hyundai Motor Group, delivered remarks regarding the partnership.

“Using Hyundai Motor Group’s software-defined vehicle, SmartThings will now work with Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles through the app,” Kwon said. “All of us at Hyundai Motor Group appreciate our partnership with Samsung, and we’re excited about the new features we’re bringing to your vehicles through smarter connectivity.”

Through SmartThings, users will be able to utilise voice commands to remotely perform functions in their car, such as heating it up in advance or opening and closing windows. SmartThings connectivity goes the other way, too, with users able to control home functions from their vehicle. Users will be able to automatically open and close garage doors based on the location of the car, as well as regulate home temperature. All of these actions can be carried out via voice commands.

Additionally, Samsung has further deepened the longstanding partnership with HARMAN to elevate the way users experience driving. Michelle Gattuso, Vice President of Product Management at HARMAN, discussed how the two companies are building new technologies to elevate the driving experience.

“Samsung’s leadership in consumer technology — together with HARMAN’s automotive expertise — has opened the door to game-changing experiences like HARMAN Ready Care, Ready Vision and Ready Display,” Gattuso said. “But now, the work we do with Samsung is getting even more integrated. Samsung and HARMAN are working in lockstep to bring even more impactful experiences to the entire in-cabin ecosystem.”

HARMAN’s Ready Care, which focuses on driver safety, implements deep learning neural networking techniques to monitor the driver’s movement and cognitive alertness, and can provide personalised reminders and alerts. Additionally, Ready Care can now identify whether passengers are adults or children, and adjust airbag deployment settings accordingly.

Furthermore, Ready Vision brings an intuitive display directly to windshields — courtesy of augmented reality — in drivers’ line of sight, right when they need it. For example, drivers have access to a map that updates according to routes in real time, as well as recommendations for the fastest route or where to stop for coffee. Another HARMAN product, Ready Upgrade, allows automakers to frequently update their vehicle’s hardware and software. This keeps vehicles relevant, modern and efficient for longer.

Samsung Focuses on Security and Privacy Across Devices

In this future of AI-enabled, deeply interconnected devices, Samsung recognises that security is paramount. Shin Baik from the Mobile eXperience Security Team discussed the company’s security solutions as a foundation for the hyper-connected era.

One such solution is Samsung Knox Matrix, which will provide end-to-end encryption across many Samsung Galaxy smartphones and smart TVs[26]. The technology will allow devices to monitor each other to identify and isolate security threats. Knox Vault, which helps keep user data safe on some of Samsung’s most popular devices, has been expanded to cover more devices connected by SmartThings, such as Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs. Additionally, Samsung’s partnerships with major tech companies allow users to experience security in a way that is tailored to their specific needs.

Samsung Makes Strides in Responsible Materials, Energy Management, and Accessibility

Meanwhile, Inhee Chung, Vice President of the Samsung Corporate Sustainability Center, highlighted Samsung’s plans for a more circular economy. Additionally, the company’s Certified ReNewed program — available in the U.S. and select European countries only — offers affordable refurbished phones.

As for the ways Samsung’s technology contributes to sustainability efforts, the company is utilizing AI to help users track the energy usage of their compatible devices through features like SmartThings AI Energy Mode, which can help to automatically optimise energy usage. These features are yet another example of how AI technology can not only make lives easier, but also allow consumers to live in a way that is more responsible.

Thanks to a new collaboration with Tesla, SmartThings Energy is becoming even more useful both inside and outside of the home. The collaboration has integrated SmartThings Energy with Tesla products, including electric vehicles (EVs), the Powerwall home battery, Solar Inverter and Wall Connector EV charging solution.  Another benefit is that SmartThings Energy users can take advantage of the Tesla app’s Powerwall “Storm Watch” function, which flags severe weather through SmartThings not only on the Tesla app, but also on users’ connected Samsung TVs and mobile phones. SmartThings can also help users prepare for power outages by activating AI Energy Mode to extend the usage time of backup energy stored in their Tesla Powerwalls.[27]

Samsung is adding new features to increase device accessibility, such as digital appliances responding to hands-free gestures. Additionally, mobile devices provide auto-generated captions during calls, and TVs and displays offer a new, AI-enabled text-to-speech feature that converts subtitles into spoken audio. To further aid those with low vision, Relumino Together is a new viewing mode on Samsung TVs that enables users of all abilities to watch TV together, with or without visual adjustments. Now, everyone can enjoy home entertainment together at the same time.

Samsung Electronics Australia has today announced the launch of Samsung Food, a personalized, AI-powered food and recipe platform.

Samsung Food will offer more than 160,000 recipes across eight language, acting as a personal assistant that helps Australians discover new dishes, create tailored meal plans and order ingredients online. The service will also help users control their Samsung cooking appliances and access to guided cooking experiences[1].

Building on the foundation of Samsung’s wide range of cooking appliances and food services, Samsung Food uses AI technology to go beyond existing capabilities and helps support Australians to plan their weekly meals bytruly adapting to their needs and lifestyles. To accomplish this, Samsung Food draws from the extensive database of Whisk, a smart food platform acquired by Samsung Next in 2019 that leverages advanced technology called Food AI, which suggests meals based on user preferences and food seasonality.

Food Your Way: Recipe Exploration and Personalisation, AI-enhanced Meal Planning, Kitchen Connectivity and Social Sharing

Samsung Food’s wide range of features support users every step of the way during the meal planning and cooking process, spanning four key areas: recipe discovery and personalisation, tailored meal planning, connected cooking and social sharing functions.

Samsung Food also comes with a Personalize Recipe function, enabling the app’s Food AI to directly change a saved recipe to better reflect users’ dietary requirements. For example, users can convert a recipe into a vegan or vegetarian version or make other changes to create a recipe that is more nutritionally balanced or incorporates in-stock ingredients. Users will even be able to create fusion recipes, such as Korean versions of Italian dishes, and adjust cook time or skill level of recipes.

To create individualised daily meal plans for users, the app makes AI-created recommendations based on user data[2], dietary preferences and favourite cuisine types and lets users add them to their meal planner. Nutritional breakdowns of ingredients are available at any time.

With connected cooking, seamless Samsung Food connectivity lets users set timers, preheat ovens[3] and send recipes’ cook settings straight to appliances[4] through step-by-step guided cooking modes, all from their portable devices. Starting with the Bespoke Oven, Samsung plans to connect numerous appliances – including Bespoke induction ranges and Bespoke microwaves – to Samsung Food by the end of the year to expand convenience for users in the kitchen.

The study, conducted in May, explores the common trends in homes around the country and the behaviours and attitudes which continue to evolve the more time we spend at home. This year’s research uncovers a house-proud nation obsessed with cleaning.

“Our daily routines have changed over the last twelve months and our homes will be never be the same,” explains Jeremy Senior, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia.

“For most, home is a safe haven. It’s where we stay connected, our classroom, our office and our cinema/ entertainment hub. Our latest research reveals Australians have become more obsessed than ever with cleaning and decluttering. We have updated our appliances to be more efficient and with our change in daily routines we have adopted ‘chore snacking’ – doing smaller more frequent cleans rather than saving-up lots of tasks for the weekend.

“As a house proud nation, seven in 10 have said that having a cleaner home provides a barrier of comfort and safety as we declutter and dial up cleaning their spaces, surfaces and air in the home.”

“As we adopt new routines, technology is here to support and give families back time for activities they love. Time together with the family around the TV proving the key escapism and reward from our chores, work and schooling.” concludes Mr. Senior.

Obsessed with cleaning

Over the last year, one quarter of Australians have changed their cleaning routine as they adapt to more time living and working at home. Almost one-third of Australians now consider themselves ‘obsessed’ with cleaning (29%), increasing to 44% for young families and 43% amongst millennials.

The research also found that 34% of Australians are doing a ‘deep clean’ at least weekly and over half (64%) are cleaning around the home daily.

Having a clean home also makes 3 in 4 Australians feel less stressed, while 7 in 10 say a clean home makes them feel safe. For those obsessed with cleaning, 72% think their home is one of the cleanest they know.

New routines

Stress has been reduced from tireless chores thanks to ‘chore-snacking’. 60% admit they are doing smaller, more frequent cleans of the home each day – helping Australians feel on top of the cleaning and giving them more time back at the weekend for activities they love.

To support their new ‘chore-snacking’ routine, 38% of Australians have purchased a new appliance to make cleaning easier.

Working from home has also allowed over half of Australians to catch up on chores and feel more in control; with 22% washing dishes, 18% vacuuming and 24% admitting to doing more laundry during work hours or lunchbreaks.

A return to the traditional

With ‘chore snacking’ alleviating time pressure at the weekend, a quarter of Australians are turning to the kitchen as a form of relaxation, while mealtimes have become increasingly important as a time to reconnect with loved ones (43%, higher for young families at 60%).

61% of Australians also admitted they would rather have a good home cooked meal than go out for dinner, and 2 in 5 said they are cooking more meals from scratch in the past 12 months – higher amongst young families (50%).

With more time, and a greater connection to home, many Australians are finding comfort and entertainment in generation-old traditions. 1 in 2 are partaking in activities such as knitting, cross stitching, embroidery, crochet, jam making, and baking with 56% of Australians doing at least one of these in the past 12 months.

Enjoying spending time together (and apart)

34% of Australians say they watch TV to share time together with others, and 69% prefer to watch movies with others – cementing our desire to connect with family and friends in the home. The research also revealed the average household has three TVs, and whilst the primary purpose of the living room TV is to spend time with others, 46% will retreat to the bedroom to watch TV away from others.

31% of Australians have TVs in the bedroom where they unwind and watch their ‘own’ shows without judgement or interruption – with reality TV (42%), news (42%) and documentaries (46%) proving the most popular to watch solo.

The Australians@HOME research by Samsung seeks to uncover the role technology plays in helping make Australian lives easier, taking the pressure off household chores and helping to save time through effective use of appliances and food storage.

The 2020-21 Australians@HOME research is the third study conducted following similar research in 2015 and 2017, and seeks to support Samsung in its ongoing efforts to understand the lives of Australians. This research was in field in May 2021 (sample: n=1000 nationally representative on age, gender and state among people aged 18-75) and was conducted by third-party research agency Fiftyfive5.

Samsung Electronics Australia is pleased to announce the latest addition to its French Door Fridge range with the introduction of Family Hub 6.0. The model debuts new software enhancements to keep the family organised and features the all-new innovative Beverage Centre with Autofill Infuser Jug to keep everyone hydrated.

Family Hub, has also received a make-over on the outside, available in stylish black and featuring sleek lines that are accentuated by recessed handles and a flat door design, to provide a seamless, premium, and stylish ‘built-in’ look with Fingerprint Resistant Finish.

The new 9000 Series Family Hub has the new innovative Beverage Centre with Autofill Infuser Jug and water dispenser located inside the door to ensure families always have fresh, cold drinking water at their fingertips. There is the addition of a Dual Ice Maker that holds over 3kgs of regular ice cubes and small Ice Bites to chill drinks faster for families on hot Australian days.

For efficient cooling, the in-door Metal Cooling plate helps the fridge to maintain optimal temperatures. It also utilises Triple Cooling to help keep your food fresher for longer, while also preventing the mixing of odours between fresh and frozen food compartments.

Customers with a Family Hub 2.0 – 5.0 will receive the 6.0 software update to experience the upgraded features in Q3 2021.
