Available from today for AU$149, the Galaxy Fit3 boasts an aluminium body with a wider display, allowing users to keep track of their health and wellness data — from daily workouts to peaceful sleep — around the clock.

Kylie Mason, Head of Wearables, Mobile eXperience at Samsung Australia says: “At Samsung, we’re committed to providing Australians with advanced health monitoring tools and accessible resources to help them along their wellness journey. We’ve seen Australians’ growing interest in gaining a comprehensive understanding of their health and wellbeing, and with our newest dedicated fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit3, we mark another step towards providing a smarter and more enhanced connected snapshot.”

Sleek Design with a Durable Aluminium Body

The Galaxy Fit3 is designed with an aluminium body and a 1.6-inch display, 45% wider than the previous model[1], making it easier for users to check detailed insights at a glance. It’s also lightweight and sleek with a comfortable fit, making it ideal for everyday use around the clock.

Users can incorporate the Galaxy Fit3 into their lifestyles with ease thanks to its long battery life that can last up to 13 days[2].

They can personalise their tracker and make it more stylish by selecting their favourite watch face from over 100 presets[3] or setting their own photos as the background. Users can also effortlessly mix and match bands[4] to complement their fashion and daily routines with a one-click button.

Keep a Pulse on Your Health Metrics[5] From Day to Night

During the day, the Galaxy Fit3 allows users to keep an eye on their daily activities. Users can track over 100 types of workouts anytime, anywhere and review their exercise records easily, encouraging them to stay motivated to achieve their goals.[6]

The Galaxy Fit3 features a 5ATM rating and IP68-rated water and dust resistance[7], meaning users can enjoy outdoor activities in a variety of environments, as well. The Galaxy Fit3 gives users an even deeper understanding of their overall health, by delivering health metrics that include heart rate[8] and stress levels.

At night, users can comfortably wear their Galaxy Fit3 throughout the night while it tracks their sleep patterns, even detecting snoring[9] and monitoring blood oxygen levels[10] to provide more detailed measurements. Based on individual sleep patterns, the Galaxy Fit3 provides users with personalised Sleep Coaching[11] with meaningful insights that help them more intuitively understand their sleep. For a seamless experience, when users don’t want to be disturbed or get ready for bed, they can automatically sync modes[12] between their Galaxy Fit3 and paired smartphone.

Stay Safe[13] and Connected in the Galaxy Ecosystem

To provide users with a safety net, safety features including Fall Detection and Emergency SOS have been newly added to the Galaxy Fit3. When an abnormal fall is detected, the Galaxy Fit3 gives users the option to call emergency services right away to get medical support in a timely manner. When users are in an emergency, they can send an SOS immediately by pressing the side button five times.

Galaxy Fit3 users can also access an array of capabilities within the connected Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, for an enhanced wearable experience. Users can use the Galaxy Fit3 as a remote control for their smartphone camera when taking photos and setting timers with Camera Remote[14], and also to play and control media on their connected device. If a smartphone is misplaced, users can easily locate it with the Find My Phone feature on the Galaxy Fit3, or vice versa.[15]

Availability

The Galaxy Fit3 will be available in Australia from 3 October, and is available in two colour options, Grey and Pink Gold, for AU$149 from Samsung.com/au and select retail partners.

Samsung Electronics Australia today announced it is partnering with Nedd Brockmann as he embarks on ‘Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge’. As a Major Partner of Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge, Nedd is sporting Samsung’s newly launched premium smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch Ultra with Galaxy AI. Like Nedd, who is known for his endurance and durability, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is an ultra-performer and will also act as the official Timekeeper of the challenge. Samsung Health is the official health tracking software.

In the first phase of Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge, Nedd will attempt to break the world record for the fastest 1,000-mile run by covering 160 kilometres per day for 10 days (October 3 – 13) at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre and help to raise $10M for people experiencing homelessness.

For the first five days of his run, Nedd will be alone in the stadium with no fans to cheer him on. To keep him motivated, Samsung is inviting Australians to record a Nedd-style ‘Ultra Shout-Out’ to show their support for him. By monitoring the data collected from Nedd’s Galaxy Watch Ultra, these messages will be broadcast on the big screen in the stadium during his run to give him a boost at key milestones and when he needs it the most.

“I’ve been using Samsung devices for a while to track my workouts and support my recovery so I’m incredibly grateful to be able to partner with Samsung throughout this challenge,” said Nedd Brockmann.

“As I train to beat the world record, my Galaxy Watch Ultra and Samsung Health have been great in giving me access to some really valuable data which is easy to access. Heading into the first week, I know being able to hear the support of Australians blasted throughout the stadium is going to make me feel like they are trackside and right behind me, cheering me on every step of the way.”

To record an Ultra Shout Out, Australians can visit Ultrashoutouts.com.au from 20 September to send a message of support. For fans who can make it to Sydney Olympic Park, the Samsung Shout-Out Squad will be recording messages at the stadium and cheering Nedd on from the sideline.

“Galaxy Watch Ultra with Galaxy AI has been designed for next level performance, something Nedd’s fearlessness and athleticism truly embodies. Combined with the Samsung Health app, the Galaxy Watch Ultra provides advanced health, wellness, and fitness monitoring, the perfect partner for someone like Nedd, or anyone looking for personalised insights and tailored wellness experiences”, said Celine Wheeler, Head of Brand & Integrated Marketing – Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Australia.

“Nedd captured Australia’s attention back in 2022 when he ran across Australia, and as he prepares for his next challenge, we look forward to helping Australians rally behind him with Ultra Shout-Outs,” concludes Wheeler.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra combines powerful on-device AI to enable more accurate tracking and collection of health data. This biodata is consolidated on the Samsung Health app to provide personalised guidance and insights, including Energy Score, Sleep Coaching and Wellness Tips.

The Ultra Shout Out campaign will be supported with a short film, directed by Ollie Ritchie, that portrays Nedd preparing for his challenge. Showing his readiness for the run ahead, he clicks his Galaxy Buds3 Pro and Watch Ultra to get started and lets out a guttural scream. His scream is joined and amplified by Australians including Mary Fowler and Christian Petracca sending messages of support, as he sets off on his challenge, alone in the stadium.

Nedd is also encouraging people to get involved and join Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge by setting their own challenge that takes them out of their comfort zone for 10 days straight starting 20-29 October.

The campaign will be live across YouTube, Meta, Tiktok, and in Samsung Retail Locations.

From 20 September, Aussies can access the landing page at Ultrashoutouts.com.au and learn more about Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge at www.neddsuncomfortablechallenge.com/home.

Samsung Electronics Australia has once again been recognised for its excellence in customer satisfaction, winning the Most Satisfied Customers award for

Samsung Electronics Australia has once again been recognised for its excellence in customer satisfaction, winning the Most Satisfied Customers award for Smartwatches and Fitness Trackers by Canstar Blue, Australia’s most trusted consumer comparison website, for the Samsung Galaxy Watch range. This award comes off the back of two other recent Canstar Blue wins for products in Samsung’s Mobile eXperience division, Most Satisfied Customers for Smartphones and Most Satisfied Customers for Tablets.

Canstar Blue surveyed Australians who had purchased a smartwatch or fitness tracker in the last 3 years to find out which brands provided the best experience[1]. Samsung received top marks and was the only brand surveyed to achieve a perfect rating of five out of five stars, across all categories – design, battery & charging performance, value for money, durability, and user friendliness.

Kylie Mason, Head of Wearables and Accessories at Samsung Electronics Australia said, “We are thrilled to receive this recognition from Canstar Blue and our customers. We understand that consumers today expect a lot of their smartwatches and we’re always innovating to meet and exceed to these expectations. Whether it’s the introduction of new ways to understand your health, improve your sleep and wellness, or much-loved design features like our rotating bezel, our focus is always on enhancing user experience.”

Commenting on the win, Tara Donnelly, Canstar Blue’s Utilities Editor said, “Canstar Blue’s customer satisfaction research in the Smartwatches & Fitness trackers category found that buyers consider Samsung’s signature Galaxy Watch range to be a great mix of style and functionality.

The Galaxy Watch series, offers advanced health tracking that rivals more fitness-focused brands, along with convenient communications and safety features. The range is also competitively priced when compared to other high-end wearables, so it’s no surprise that Aussies rate Samsung number one for smartwatch value.”

Recognising the consumer benefit of wearables to build healthier habits, stay up-to-date on notifications, and understand their wellbeing better, Samsung took its first steps into the smartwatch world over 10 years ago. Innovating on each iteration, its most recent releases, Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic, pack a wealth holistic health offerings and powerful performance in a refined and sleek design. Created to help consumers more easily reach their wellness goals through features like personalised sleep and fitness coaching, the series solidifies the real consumer benefit offered by Samsung smartwatches.

The Canstar Blue Smartwatches and Fitness Trackers Most Satisfied Customers win comes soon after Samsung was also awarded Canstar Blue’s 2024 Most Satisfied Customers Award for Smartphones, announced the day before Galaxy Unpacked 2024 in January. A key moment for the company, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 series which comes equipped with its ground breaking Galaxy AI[2] features. Marking a new era for smartphones, AI enriches nearly every experience on the Galaxy S24 series by enabling barrier-free communication, unlocking creativity with its ProVisual Engine, and setting a new standard for search.

Looking to the future, Samsung is excited to bring a new wearable health form factor to Australians with the Galaxy Ring. Set to simplify everyday wellness and support smarter and healthier living, the Galaxy Ring will provide greater options for users seeking to better understand their health and wellbeing.

To find out more about the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic series as well as other Galaxy devices, please visit: Samsung Newsroom Australia and Samsung.com.au.

[1] Canstar Blue surveyed more than 3,000 Australians, with over 500 confirming they had purchased a smartwatch or fitness tracker in the last three years.

[2] Fees may apply for AI features at the end of 2025. Samsung does not make any promises, assurances or guarantees as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the output provided by AI features. Samsung Account login may be required to use certain Samsung AI features.
