Samsung Electronics is proud to announce the successful wrap-up of the 2025 Odyssey Cup Counter-Strike 2 Championship; a premier esports tournament consisting of some of the finest gaming talent from across Southeast Asia and Oceania.

The Grand Finals for this year’s Odyssey Cup took place at the EBN Esports City, Quill City Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 12-14 December, which saw eight finalist teams from across the region compete in person for a total prize pool of US$50,000.

SemperFi Esports from Australia secured the championship title, defeating Deep Cross Gaming from Indonesia in a hard-fought battle to clinch the grand prize of US$20,000. Star player Kristers Darznieks of SemperFi Esports took home the MVP award and won US$2,000 for his performance during the tournament.

Beyman Esports of Malaysia and Ground Zero Gaming from Australia won third and fourth place respectively.

The Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur was attended by a vibrant crowd, including media representatives, influencers and passionate fans. It was also streamed live online across Samsung’s official channels for fans across the region to engage in the thrilling action.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a partnership with game developers Nexon Korea and Neople to deliver incredible 3D experiences in the upcoming game ‘The First Berserker: Khazan.’ The game’s 3D elements are being specially customised and designed during development, utilising Samsung technology and the advanced capabilities of the Odyssey 3D (G90XF) monitor to create a glasses-free immersive 3D gaming experience.

Through this partnership, Nexon, Neople and Samsung have been working closely to tailor the 3D visuals, carefully adjusting them based on the composition of characters, backgrounds, and cinematics throughout the game. This process gives the developers increased control over the 3D effects, enabling them to bring their creative visions to life with more precision.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung Electronics has taken the top position in the global OLED monitor market by capturing 34.7% of market share [1] based on total revenue, and the top position in market share based on sales volume with 28.3% of OLED monitors sold in 2023.[2]

Innovation beyond expectations in 2023

As announced at CES 2023, Samsung’s new Odyssey lineup will include the 57” Odyssey Neo G9, Samsung’s first single monitor with dual ultra-high definition resolution. Samsung will also introduce OLED displays to the Odyssey range by way of the Odyssey OLED G8, and Odyssey OLED G9.
