Samsung adds 8TB models to its SSD 870 EVO SATA III 2.5 inch

Samsung Electronics, a world leader in advanced memory technology, has today announced the pricing and availability of a new 8TB capacity SSD 870 EVO SATA III 2.5 inch. The 8TB model joins the existing Samsung 870 EVO range, which includes 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities, providing Australian IT professionals, general PC users, and Network Attached Storage (NAS) users with expanded options to scale their storage environments.

Samsung Electronics Australia has today announced the renewal of its partnership with Legacy Esports, one of Australia’s fastest-growing esports teams. The agreement brings the partnership into its third year, with both brands stepping into the new decade with plans to further develop the Australian team and the local esports community.

The announcement builds on Samsung Australia and Legacy Esports’ work during the past two years to help grow and develop the team’s competitive and grass-roots community gaming programs. Together, both brands are now looking to raise the bar to the next level and strengthen Legacy Esports’ presence in the global esports scene.

Samsung will continue to equip Legacy Esports gaming teams with NVMe M.2 SSDs and curved gaming monitors, aiming to help bolstering player immersion and helping bring a new level of competitive gaming in 2020.

Legacy Esports met with the elite esports team, Gen.G, and gained insights about their training programs and had a workshop with the Korean athletes and coaching staff.

Samsung has also collaborated with Legacy over the past two years for PAX, Melbourne, showcasing the team’s talent on the arena stage and at the Samsung booth.
