Samsung Australia has today announced the pricing and availability of The Premiere 5 (LPF5D), the brand’s first interactive triple-laser ultra-short-throw (UST) projector. Designed to transform everyday places into immersive content spaces, The Premiere 5 introduces interactive touch floor projection capabilities[1], paired with up to 100-inches[2] of cinematic viewing possibilities, setting a new standard for premium home projectors.

The Premiere 5 is now available for $2,999 from Samsung’s Online Store and leading retailers nationwide including Harvey Norman.

The Premiere 5 comes in a stylish compact design that makes it easy to move and set up in various spaces around the home. Seamless smartphone integration[3] allows Australians to simply mirror content from the handheld device via SmartThings or Apple AirPlay 2 so the family can enjoy the content on a bigger screen.

The Premiere 5’s dedicated stand is equipped with an infrared camera and an infrared laser module to support touch-based operation. This means The Premiere 5 can transform the table or the floor it is being projected on into an interactive touch screen, enabling the family to engage in smartphone games, art, movies and more in up to 20-inches.

MultiView and Web Browser capabilities also ensures The Premiere 5’s touch enabled floor projection can be used for a variety of purposes such as education and business, beyond home entertainment.

At the heart of the Premiere 5 is Samsung’s Triple Laser Technology, which delivers a wide range of vivid colours and high contrast without blur in screen ratios spanning 40-inches to 100-inches. Built-in Vision Booster detects the level of surrounding light and automatically adjusts the projector’s colour, contrast and brightness to help the screen remain clear, even in well-lit rooms.

The Premiere 5’s compact Ultra Short Throw design allows the projector to project cinematic experiences from 12cms of distance from the wall[4], saving space while maximising impact. Its compact form blends seamlessly into any home environment, making it a perfect fit for modern living spaces.

The Premiere 5 also redefines audio-visual harmony with its integrated sound system featuring Q-Symphony[5], Active Voice Amplifier Pro[6], and Adaptive Sound Pro. The 10W 2-channel speaker system delivers immersive audio that complements its stunning visuals, eliminating the need for external speakers and creating a cinematic experience.

The Premiere 5 can also be used as a standalone wireless speaker when the screen is not in use, with the ability to play music via a Bluetooth connection, Air Play or music casting[7].

Endless free content is packed into The Premiere 5 via Samsung’s Smart Hub, including access to 300+ free channels including Samsung TV Plus[8]. For gamers, the Premiere 5’s Gaming Hub offers instant access to popular gaming platforms and services, along with low latency and smooth performance for an uninterrupted gaming experience[9].

Custom Ambient Mode uses The Premiere 5’s Projecting Mapping Solution to project dynamic images to help create a mood or customise the ambiance of a space[10]. Instant set-up via the auto keystone and auto-focus features makes gaming, watching, working or relaxing simple.

The Premiere 5 also enables Australians to seamlessly manage their compatible Samsung and third-party devices through SmartThings. This includes the ability to monitor electricity usage, control lighting, be notified when wash cycles have finished, or view home cameras from the couch, making life easier, more secure, and more connected[11].

The Premiere 5 joins Samsung’s 2025 Projector line-up which includes The Premiere 7, Premiere 9 and The Freestyle.

The Premiere 9 features triple laser technology for enhanced color accuracy and brightness, while both models offer ultra-short throw capabilities and vibrant 4K resolution on screens up to 130 inches.[2]

The Premiere’s vibrant 4K resolution and exceptional color accuracy bring every scene to life. The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 projectors provide color gamut coverage of 154% and 100% of the DCI-P3 standard[3], respectively, while both models support HDR10+, ensuring clear and vivid images — even in bright environments. With a maximum brightness of 3,450 ISO lumens[4] for The Premiere 9 and 2,500 ISO lumens for The Premiere 7, these projectors both deliver sharp and dynamic visuals.[5]

To help further enhance picture quality, The Premiere projectors are equipped with innovative AI picture enhancements, including AI Upscaling and Vision Booster. AI Upscaling ensures that content is displayed in stunning 4K resolution, regardless of its original quality, while Vision Booster is designed to automatically adjust brightness and contrast in various lighting conditions for optimal picture quality.

The built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos technology in both models provide powerful and immersive audio, creating a true home theater experience without the need for additional sound equipment. Samsung’s latest suite of Neo QLED 8K and 4K televisions provide consumers with premium options that suit almost every need. Neo QLED picture quality is powered by Samsung’s advanced Neural Quantum Processor, which supports the Quantum Mini LED-lit TV with 14-bit processing and AI upscaling, enabling features such as Shape Adaptive Light Control and Real Depth Enhancer Pro for a three-dimensional, lifelike picture.

Samsung’s 2023 Neo QLED TVs go beyond just a clear picture, with a high-resolution panel and Samsung’s proprietary algorithm powering Samsung’s new Auto HDR Remastering. It uses AI deep learning technology to analyse and apply real-time High Dynamic Range (HDR) effects on Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content on a scene-by-scene basis, making SDR content bright and lively for even deeper immersion.

In addition, SmartThings users no longer need to purchase a separate SmartThings dongle to connect and control Zigbee and Thread devices. The 2023 MICRO LED lineup offers new models ranging from 77 to 114-inches[2] to provide consumers with a breadth of options for incredible picture quality and screen experience. Thanks to its modular nature, MICRO LED is not bound by shape, ratio and size, making it completely customisable to fit a consumer’s desired set up. In addition, it comes without bezels so regardless of configuration, the boundary between screen and real life is seamless.

And to provide consumers with even more viewing options, Samsung’s 2023 OLED lineup will be available in 55, 65 and the new ultra-large 77-inch models[3]. Samsung’s latest OLED lineup comes with Quantum Dot technology that has been developed for Samsung’s Neo QLEDs as well as Neural Quantum Processors to retain OLED technology’s core strengths, while simultaneously improving limitations in its brightness and colour representation.

The expanded lineup comes with a 144Hz refresh rate and all of Samsung’s smart features. And for the first time on an OLED TV, Samsung OLEDs come with AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro certification for the ultimate OLED gaming experience.

Finally, to expand viewing options, Samsung offers Samsung TV Plus on all of its smart TV lineup. The free ad-supported TV (FAST) and video-on-demand service delivers over 1,800 channels globally, including over 50 owned & operated channels, reaching 24 countries and 465 million devices globally across the company’s TV and mobile devices. It is 100% free and doesn’t require any downloads, subscriptions or additional devices[4].

Everyday Sustainability with Samsung Screens

In line with the latest environmental strategy announced in 2022, Samsung is consistently working with partners and customers to be eco-conscious, providing a broader impact throughout the product’s lifecycle. As a result, each step is made more eco-conscious, from making the manufacturing process more efficient to reducing packaging and changing how consumers use their products.

• Recycled Materials: For the 2023 lineup, Samsung will replace some elements of the SolarCell Remote with materials partly comprised of recycled ocean-bound plastic.
• Reducing Manufacturing Impact: Samsung designed a light-weight injection mold that requires fewer materials, with a structure that can be repurposed, bringing down the overall energy consumption and raw materials needed for production.
• AI Energy Saving Mode: Through SmartThings, Samsung’s 2023 TVs support AI Energy Saving Mode, helping users save more energy in new ways. SmartThings Energy Service on TVs helps reduce carbon footprint of connected devices with simple changes, such as automatic switches to energy saving mode on specific devices when not in use. And with 3D Map View, it will be easier to get a holistic overview of connected devices and put energy saving ideas into practice.
• Eco-Packaging: In 2023, Samsung Eco-Packaging will come with minimal print so less ink is consumed in its production, and Samsung will use paper tape to reduce the use of plastic in its packaging. Additionally, package sizes will be reduced to help lower overall carbon emissions.

Multidimensional Soundscape and Audio Quality with AI

• AI Sound Remastering: In 2023, Samsung’s flagship TV and soundbar offer Sound Remastering, which utilises AI to remaster each sound object to help ensure voices are clear, environmental sounds are enveloping and that each component is just the right volume.
• Soundbars: In addition to the flagship soundbar, HW-Q990C, with 11.1.4 channel sound supporting Dolby Atmos, the ultra-slim HW-S800B offers powerful immersive sound in Dolby Atmos from a 3.1.2 channel device that is just 40mm tall and 38mm deep. It is easily placed with any TV and offers clear sound with punchy bass.
• Q-Symphony: A new iteration of harmony between the TV and soundbar, 2023 new Q-Symphony will provide vastly evolved sound for which the soundbar taps into the TV’s Neural Processing Unit to analyse audio signals and process each sound for more detail than ever before.

MICRO LED is available in 110’’ and 99’’ sizes globally beginning at the end of March; an 88’’ size is launching this fall; and a 76’’ is on the future roadmap.

As people turn to TVs as an outlet for their passions, Samsung developed Samsung Neo QLED to enhance the viewing experience, no matter what you are watching. The Samsung Neo QLED viewing experience is defined by our Neo Quantum Processor, and new Quantum Mini LEDs. At just 1/40^th the size of conventional LEDs, Quantum Mini LEDs allow for ultra-fine light control. In 2021, Samsung Health adds the benefit of a Smart Trainer. With an optional camera sold separately, the Smart Trainer utilizes AI to analyze your posture and provide real-time feedback to improve your form as you follow instructional videos.

In 2021, Samsung Neo QLED’s 8K models (QN800A and QN900A) will be available in 65’’, 75’’, and 85’’ sizes, while the 4K models (QN90A and QN85A) will reflect an even wider selection, starting at 50’’.

Consumers today expect experiences tailored to their needs, personal tastes, and style. The Lifestyle TV category offers screens designed for every consumer and every space—in and outside the home.

The Frame transforms the TV into a work of art that can be personalized to fit your aesthetic and decor. With new partnerships in the Art Store,¹ like NAVA Contemporary and Etsy, The Frame features more original artwork to match individual tastes. It also includes AI-based auto-curation technology that recommends artwork based on your selections. Curate your own personal art collection with a growing library of over 1,400 pieces of art from world-renowned institutions. The Frame also features increased photo storage space from 500 megabytes in 2020 to 6 gigabytes in 2021, so you can store up to 1,200 photos (all) in UHD quality. From beloved classics to stunning photography, the Art Store gives you access to a variety of content to personalize your space.

In 2021, there are new ways to customize the Frame itself—from new mounting options like the Slim Fit Wall Mount to five bezel options and more from third party providers. Additionally, we have made the 2021 Frame slimmer than ever: just 24.9 millimeters thick, about the same depth as an actual picture frame. It’s just as appealing off as when it’s on.

Samsung is also offering a new way to display the 2021 Frame, with My Shelf, a new accessory releasing globally later this year that lets you create a tailored wall with personal touches to complement your screen and décor. My Shelf can be attached to the 55 inch, 65 inch, and 75 inch Frame sizes, and will be available in four different colors: beige, white, brown, and black.

For those who miss the movie theater experience, The Premiere, the industry’s first triple laser projector with 4K resolution, represents the next stage in home cinema—all in a compact package. Traditional beam projectors can be clunky and difficult to set up—and even if they offer a big screen, the resolution is sometimes far below an ordinary TV. The Premiere’s minimalist design, with rounded edges and a fabric finish, fits neatly into any home. To help consumers use the Premiere anywhere in their home, we are going to be offering rollable screens optimized for the Premiere later this year on Samsung.com. Just position the Premiere around 5 inches or further from a monotone wall or ALR screen, and break out the popcorn.

In 2020, Samsung took its industry-leading picture performance from inside the home to the yard—just as consumers were looking to get outdoors. With The Terrace, our first outdoor TV, consumers can enjoy the picture quality, audio performance, and smart features they expect from Samsung outside. And they can do so worry-free; The Terrace is weather-resistant, with an IP55 rating to protect against water and dust. It is also simple to install, and easy to connect to cable service and a Wi-Fi network. The Terrace is available in 55”, 65”, and a new 75” Full Sun model² is coming in time for summer.

Screens Suited for Every Need – From Productivity to Play

In 2020, the relevance of the monitor at home changed dramatically. For many, this meant additional screens for multiple needs. Suddenly, a screen that was used to shop online or surf social media became critical to daily life, as consumers used it to make the most of work, school, and play.

To fulfill this demand, the Smart Monitor is Samsung’s first “do-it-all” monitor—uniting the best of monitor and TV. Smart Monitor is compatible with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wireless DeX, and Apple AirPlay 2, letting consumers work from anywhere without needing to connect to a PC. With AirPlay 2, customers can stream, control, and share their favorite content directly from their iPhone, iPad, or Mac to their monitor. In 2020, the Odyssey G9 gaming monitor generated a lot of buzz—this year, Samsung is leveling up the experience with a Quantum MiniLED display and premium gaming features. The 1000R screen curvature, combined with Quantum MiniLED display technology, gives gamers an experience unlike any other. The new G9 joins Samsung’s full lineup of curved and flat Odyssey gaming monitors.

To enable a new way of learning and working while staying safe, we are introducing the Samsung Interactive Display FLIP 75-inch,a digital whiteboard you can write, draw, and edit on. For a full, deep and rich immersive experience, the Q950A boasts the industry’s first 11.1.4 channel sound bringing you right into the center of the action.
