Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the availability of its newly expanded Smart Monitor lineup, providing more display sizes and design options, along with new and enhanced smart features. The lineup now includes a larger 43-inch M7 (UHD resolution) model, delivering enhanced productivity and an immersive entertainment experience. The M5 (FHD resolution) models are now available in 24-inch, 27-inch and 32-inch displays, featuring a sleek design and a stylish new white colour option.

The Samsung Smart Monitor series was launched in February 2021 as the world’s first do-it-all screen designed for today’s businesses, academia and consumers who are working, learning and staying entertained at home. The Smart Monitor offers integrated media and productivity apps, versatile connectivity, built-in speakers and a solar powered remote control[1].

“As time spent working, learning and playing from home increases for people around the world, homes are being transformed into multi-functional environments,” said Phil Gaut, Director of Display and Memory Solutions at Samsung Australia. “Our expanded Smart Monitor lineup will continue to provide users with even more convenient and flexible ways to accomplish everyday activities through technology, enabling them to truly ‘do it all’ through powerful mobile and PC connectivity on the smartest monitor available on the market today.”

The latest additions to Samsung’s Smart Monitor series include:

Smart Monitor M7 43”– As the flagship model, the Smart Monitor M7 now comes in a larger 43-inch size that maximises productivity and enhances entertainment, wrapped in a borderless design that delivers an immersive experience whether working, learning or playing. Featuring a 4K Ultra-High Definition (UHD) display, the 43-inch M7 can seamlessly switch functionalities, moving from a reliable work device to an instant 4K entertainment hub with built-in content streaming apps, speakers and HDR10 capabilities to optimise every detail of 4K content.

Smart Monitor M5 27” and 32” in White – The popular M5 model now comes in a sleek and stylish white design for both its 27- and 32-inch models. The new colour blends in perfectly with minimalist-inspired designs and adds a finishing touch to any interior aesthetic, making it ideal to complement a design-conscious user’s home.

Smart Monitor M5 24”– The M5 range now also comes in a new 24-inch Full HD form factor, making it the most accessible Smart Monitor in terms of size and pricing. The Smart Monitor’s compact sizing makes it ideal for those who may not have the desk space for a larger monitor or for customers simply looking for a good value multi-functional monitor.

A monitor with all your favourite assistants

The voice assistant in previous models will be upgraded in June to enable not only Bixby, but also other voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The Remote Access feature will also be updated in July to ‘PC on Screen’ in June, enabling simple and secure connectivity between the Smart Monitor and Windows PCs for improved usability.

Smart eco-friendly initiatives

As part of Samsung’s long-term sustainability program, the M7 43-inch includes an all-in-one solar powered remote made from recycled plastic 1, delivering an energy conscious efficiency with charging from indoor sunlight, lightbulbs, or a USB-C connection. In addition, the remote for other models has been partially crafted from recycled plastic. All models will include Eco-Packaging, a kind of product packaging that facilitates the upcycling of boxes into small pieces of furniture.

The screen that thinks it’s a PC

Utilising the same features as the first-generation lineup, the Samsung Smart Monitor lineup provides numerous connectivity options for both PCs and smartphones. Users can connect their personal mobile devices with just a quick tap using Tap View[2], Mirroring or with Apple AirPlay 2. In addition, Samsung DeX allows users to enjoy a complete desktop experience by connecting their monitor with their mobile device. The display also supports Microsoft 365 applications[3], enabling users to view and edit documents and conveniently save them on the cloud even without PC connection, thanks to embedded Wi-Fi. For a clean workplace setup, the Smart Monitor offers HDMI support, a USB Type-C port[4], USB ports on the M7 and Bluetooth 4.2 capabilities.

And thinks it’s a TV too

The display can also transform into a complete entertainment hub with the ability for users to access OTT content and stream their favorite movies and shows on Netflix, Stan and YouTube even without a connection to a PC or mobile device.[5]

The Samsung Smart Monitor expanded lineup is available in a variety of models, sizes and specifications.

Today, Samsung Electronics Australia has announced the latest addition to its lineup of Flip Interactive Displays. The new WM75A (75” model) has been designed specifically to enhance safety for those working, learning and teaching in collaborative environments, in the office or the classroom.

The 75” Flip joins the existing product line up of 55”, 65” and 85” interactive displays that have been adopted in both corporate and educational settings across Australia. The new Flip includes features designed to enhance safety with Samsung’s exclusive shatter-protection film which helps to keep the screen intact in the event of an accident, and a UL-certified bacteria resistant Antimicrobial Coating, designed to help stop the spread of germs. Flip is driving the next generation of learning, delivering multimedia content and interactivity.

“The Flip range of interactive displays, not only continues to expand in sizes, but also innovate with new features that are focused on meeting the ever-changing needs of our partners in this new working environment,” said Phil Gaut, Director of Display and Memory Solutions at Samsung Australia. “Collaboration among students in the classroom, or among colleagues in the office, has become even easier and more engaging – Flip’s interactive and visual features bring everything from classwork annotation, or office brainstorming to life.

The Flip delivers ultra high definition (UHD) 4K picture quality and inspires brainstorming through smooth pen-to-paper writing modes allowing users to write, annotate and erase on any background source content. Flip delivers an intuitive experience with straightforward navigation and seamless scrolling of up to 20 pages of writing space. It also builds collaboration through synchronised screen viewing of devices, allowing for real-time content sharing and control. It is also compatible with third-party education solutions, streamlining the process of connecting to school information systems through built-in Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) slots.

“Students are more confident when it comes to using technology and work more collaboratively using the Flip,” said Brendan Hodge, Teacher at Lang Lang Primary School catchment. “Engagement levels with students have risen significantly, as they’re more likely to remain focused on classroom tasks. The Flip has acted as a powerful instrument in cultivating their imaginations and bringing their thought-processes and ideas to life.”

For ease of use, Samsung’s Flip range offers multiple connectivity options to help users easily access their content from any device. The Flip can easily recognise any plugged-in source, including USB, HDMI, DP, OPS, and wireless screen sharing. Users will also have access to web browsing to source online content and be able to play videos and view sources without the need to preload content in advance. Furthermore, the Samsung Flip 75” and 85” models ensure that confidential information or classified documents remain in the right hands. Using its reinforced, 6-digit lock system, each manager can safeguard sensitive presentations, lock the display and remove critical content from view. Samsung understands that during the time of digital transformation, security is of the utmost importance and this solution meets those needs.

Samsung’s Flip is the culmination of several years of refinement and design innovation to help meet the needs of modern-day digital work and educational environments, fostering greater collaboration, ideation and productivity.

Samsung’s Flip is available now from Samsung authorised resellers or directly through: https://www.samsung.com/au/business/display-opt-in/
