One UI 6 Watch will soon be available to a wider range of Galaxy Watch devices through the latest software update[1]. Beginning to roll out today, the update will bring select features from the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch7[2] to previous generations of Galaxy Watch around the world including Galaxy Watch6, Galaxy Watch6 Classic, Galaxy Watch5, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic and Galaxy Watch FE.

The One UI 6 Watch update offers personalised insights to even more users for a holistic and comprehensive understanding of health[3]. With Energy Score[4], users can better understand their health conditions through an intuitive score calculated from various health metrics including sleep, activity, sleeping heart rate and sleeping heart rate variability. Users can also access personalised recommendations, powered by Galaxy AI[5], to support health improvement. For sleep tracking[6], receive a deeper and more accurate understanding of sleep with a detailed analysis powered by an advanced AI algorithm and new sleep metrics, including movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate and respiratory rate.

The expansion of One UI 6 Watch empowers more users to stay motivated and conquer their fitness goals with personalised experiences. Monitor progress in real time when running or cycling with Race[7], which compares changes in current and past performance to encourage users to make improvements. Workout Routine allows users to combine various exercises and create personalised routines, uniquely tailored to their individual goals and preferences.

Furthermore, the latest update provides new watch faces[8] to best suit various needs or preferences that are both stylish and functional. For instance, use the Simple Digital watch face to reflect a minimalist design, or the Ultra Info Board watch face to check information at a glance without sacrificing style. The expansion of One UI 6 Watch also allows users to enjoy more seamless experiences with connected Galaxy devices. When paired with a compatible Galaxy smartphone, users can effortlessly send suitable responses with AI-powered Suggested replies[9]. With simple and intuitive Double Pinch Gestures[10], a connected Galaxy smartphone can be easily controlled right from the wrist to answer calls, dismiss alarms, take photos and even more.

360 Audio Recording: Capture the World as You Hear it

The new 360 Audio Recording feature[1] empowers users to capture sound on video, precisely as they hear it. Pairing Galaxy Buds2 Pro with a Galaxy smartphone, everyone can film like a pro and capture high-quality, realistic audio for video without the need for bulky professional equipment, anytime, anywhere. The feature picks up 360-degree sound using a microphone in each earbud, placing viewers at the centre of a roaring festival crowd or beside a bubbling brook in the middle of a forest. Users can pop in connected headphones and playback the video on their device or social media channel to hear lifelike and immersive sounds that emulate an in-person experience.

360 Audio Recording is the first feature in the Galaxy line leveraging LE Audio, an advanced new Bluetooth audio standard. This new technology brings incredible audio quality as well as low latency and a long battery life. Beyond providing better-sounding music, LE Audio also broadens the spectrum of audio experiences to deliver more complex and rich sound that can be shared with others. Now, LE Audio brings binaural recording to Galaxy Buds2 Pro – taking advantage of both the left and right mics at the same time. When pairing the Buds2 Pro with a Galaxy Z Flip4 or Fold4, users are drawn into the moment, benefitting from high-quality stereo audio as well as high-quality video.

Camera Controller: Frame the Perfect Shot Right from Your Wrist

Photography and videography with Galaxy smartphones are about maintaining creative control in any situation. One example is the Galaxy Watch’s Camera Controller app, which enables users to control their compatible Galaxy phone camera right from their wrist. A new update – soon to be available on the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 series – adds zoom capabilities to Camera Controller[2], further expanding the Galaxy camera experience with Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Watch connectivity. Now users can remotely control their compatible Galaxy phone’s camera zoom with a simple pinch of the watch face or a turn of the rotating bezel – perfect for taking group shots or solo selfies from a distance and eliminating the need to run back and forth to the camera to frame the perfect picture.

The new 360 Audio Recording feature will be progressively released on Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 via software updates starting today1. The updated Camera Controller feature will be available on the Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4 and Watch4 Classic beginning from February2. These new wearable features are expected to provide more powerful synergies with the new Galaxy camera capabilities – offering new and never-before seen experiences.
