Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that it has maintained its leadership in the audio-visual sector as the world’s top soundbar brand for the 12th year in a row¹.

According to new research from Future Source, Samsung captured 21.5% of global soundbar revenue and 19.7% of unit volume in 2025, continuing its leadership streak that began in 2014. This milestone, along with two decades of global TV leadership², reinforces Samsung’s position at the forefront of the home entertainment industry.

Samsung’s sustained success in the soundbar market is driven by advanced audio technology, immersive sound and seamless integration with Samsung TVs. Building on this foundation, Samsung will expand its 2026 audio lineup with new products that deliver cinema-quality sound tailored to different living environments.

The lineup will include:

• HW‑Q990H flagship soundbar, the successor to the HW‑Q990F
• All‑in‑one soundbar HW‑QS90H
• Bouroullec‑designed Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 Wi‑Fi speakers

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that it has maintained its No. 1 position in the global commercial display market in 2025, marking 17 consecutive years at the top with a 35.2% share by unit sales, according to research firm Omdia.[1]

Since achieving the global No. 1 position in the commercial display market for the first time in 2009, Samsung has continuously strengthened its leadership in the B2B display sector. In 2025, the company reached an all‑time high in annual sales when it shipped more than 2.5 million units.

This sustained performance reflects Samsung’s focus on next-generation signage that combines advanced display hardware with cloud and AI-based solutions in retail, corporate, education and hospitality environments.

Samsung’s B2B display portfolio is built on its commitment to product innovation. Newly launched this year, Samsung Spatial Signage displays striking 3D content in a slim 52mm profile. It has already been recognized with a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Enterprise Technology category and an iF Design Award 2026. Going forward, Samsung plans to expand the lineup to include additional sizes.

Samsung’s Colour E‑Paper lineup delivers ultra‑low power signage as an alternative to traditional paper posters. The 13-inch Colour E-Paper is the world’s first commercial display to apply a bio-resin derived from phytoplankton in its housing. The display’s housing consists of 45% recycled plastic and 10% phytoplankton-based bio-resin, allowing the manufacturing process to reduce carbon emissions by more than 40% compared to conventional petroleum-based plastic materials.[2] Samsung plans to expand the use of this material across its E‑Paper lineup.

The portfolio also features extra-large format displays designed for high-impact business environments—ranging from the 105-inch QPDX-5K, 115-inch QHFX models to the upcoming 130-inch Micro RGB signage (QPHX model) which will be released in the near future.

Alongside hardware, Samsung expects to maintain its industry‑leading market position by connecting devices and solutions to provide customers with consistent, integrated experiences. This includes the Samsung VXT platform for remote device management and content operations as well as the new AI Studio app, which enables easy, signage‑ready video creation from a single product image.[3]

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. yesterday held “FAST Forward: How New Streaming Models Are Shaping the Next Generation of TV” as part of its Tech Forum panel series at CES 2026. Taking place at The Wynn in Las Vegas, Nevada, the panel brought together leaders from entertainment and media to explore the evolution of streaming and the rapid rise of free-ad-supported television (FAST).

The session highlighted the interconnected relationship between today’s rapidly evolving consumer behaviors and preferences, the transformation of content by technology and monetization models, the expanding role of creators as studios and the ways in which interactive and live experiences are catalyzing a shift from passive viewing into active engagement.

Moderated by Natalie Jarvey of The Ankler, the panel featured Salek Brodsky, SVP and Global Head of Samsung TV Plus; Alessandra Catanese, CEO of Smosh and Bruce Casino, EVP, Sales & Distribution, U.S., NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.

FAST Gains Momentum as Audiences Recalibrate Value

As audiences grapple with subscription fatigue and a fragmented streaming landscape, the panel focused on how FAST is restoring simplicity and value to television. Samsung TV Plus anchored the conversation as a platform designed to reduce friction, offering hundreds of live and on-demand channels in one free, easily accessible experience across Samsung TVs and devices worldwide.

“The TV experience today can often feel like too much work for the viewer,” said SVP Brodsky. “Our goal with Samsung TV Plus is to simplify television again and combine the power of linear discovery with a modern, connected experience that feels effortless, curated and truly valuable.”

The panelists emphasized that FAST has evolved into a core part of the streaming ecosystem, complementing subscription and traditional models while delivering premium, proven programming at scale. For Samsung TV Plus, that evolution is rooted in shared experiences that elevate viewing and meet users not just where they already are, but where they want to be.

Hybrid Models Redefine the Streaming Ecosystem

Panelists emphasized that the evolution of streaming is less about replacing traditional models and more about expanding how audiences engage with content. FAST, subscription and linear distribution models are increasingly working in tandem, allowing studios to extend the life of proven franchises, reach new viewers and unlock additional value without sacrificing performance elsewhere. By leveraging data, audience behavior and decades of content insight, media companies are deploying FAST to complement existing channels and create a more resilient and diversified ecosystem.

EVP Bruce Casino highlighted how this approach has enabled NBCUniversal to bring both classic and contemporary content to FAST audiences while continuing to see strong performance across platforms. “FAST doesn’t replace traditional distribution, it extends it,” said Casino. “What we’re seeing is that when great content shows up in multiple places, it creates incremental value rather than cannibalization — allowing franchises to thrive across FAST, streaming and linear channels.”

Creators Emerge as the New Studios

The panel also examined how the changing nature of consumer habits and television platforms means content creators do not have to work exclusively with legacy studios to reach a broad audience. As this medium expands from social platforms to the living room, FAST is helping bridge digital culture and traditional TV, while also serving to elevate its production quality.

Samsung TV Plus was highlighted as a platform that helps creators evolve from digital-first brands into full-fledged television studios, helping expand reach, unlock new monetization opportunities and introduce content to broader, global audiences.

One of the clearest examples of a brand that has taken the step from digital-first brand to legitimate TV studio is sketch comedy-improv collective Smosh. By launching a FAST channel with Samsung TV Plus, Smosh has been able to strengthen its connection with its already-dedicated fans while gaining access to a much larger viewer base. Due to this evolution, Smosh has enhanced long-term growth.

“Partnering with Samsung TV Plus allowed us to elevate our production quality and invest in the future of the Smosh brand,” said CEO Alessandra Catanese. “It was the right platform to help us reach a broader audience while positioning our content in a premium environment that supports where we’re headed as a company.”

Live and Interactive Experiences Drive Engagement

Looking beyond on-demand viewing, panelists discussed how live programming like concerts and interactivity are reshaping the television experience by creating shared moments that audiences actively participate in.

With features such as synchronized premieres and real-time participation, technology is transforming television from a passive activity into an interactive experience — fostering connection, excitement and a sense of belonging that brings viewers together organically. Together, the panelists agreed that the future of television will be defined by flexibility, cultural connection and experiences that invite participation, not just consumption.

“Authentic content that creates cultural connection and brings people together is what matters most,” said SVP Brodsky. “That’s why we’re investing in live events, creator programming and interactive formats that remind people why TV has always been the center of the home.”

As streaming continues to evolve, Samsung is focused on helping shape a TV ecosystem that delivers value for viewers, opportunity for creators and scale for advertisers, — redefining what television can be in 2026 and beyond.

During the session, Samsung emphasized its focus on expanding the TV’s capabilities through next-generation AI while delivering exceptional picture quality. 2026 will be a pivotal year for the VD business, with Micro RGB and OLED leading the premium TV segment, mini LED increasing accessibility to premium TV technology, and ultra-large displays further enhancing the immersive entertainment experience at home and beyond. As a result, the full lineup will bring Samsung’s state-of-the-art sceen experience to a wider range of consumers, while reinforcing the company’s leadership in performance and innovation.

The Micro RGB 130” TV made its debut at First Look. Visitors were first struck by its scale, then by the precision of its color reproduction across varied content. Micro RGB 130” also delivers 100% of the BT.2020 wide color gamut, certified by Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE), to enable more accurate, life-like colors.

As screen sizes grow, maintaining image consistency becomes more challenging. Samsung addressed this with Glare Free technology, enabling uniform image rendering without distracting reflections — a key reason the Micro RGB 130” TV earned a CES Innovation Awards 2026 Best of Innovation honor.

“I tried gaming in 3D for the first time, and it felt completely new and immersive,” said Jerry Ruiz, a digital content creator from Kennewick, Washington. “Being able to play 3D games without wearing glasses was especially impressive — I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to regular gaming.”

Samsung extended entertainment beyond watching and listening by inviting visitors to take the mic with Stingray Karaoke on Samsung TV. Available in 30 countries, Samsung TV Plus brings a wide range of entertainment programming — from sports and music to creator content — across more than 3,500 channels and 66,000 video-on-demand titles.

Audio-Visual Design Blends Sound With Form

A lineup of visually striking audio devices added a strong visual element to the booth. Reimagining the turntable, the Transparent Micro LED functioned as a music visualizer — resembling an LP floating in midair — while a built-in premium sound system ensured audio quality remained uncompromised.

Spatial Signage

Samsung also introduced Spatial Signage, a new display form factor that combines detailed 2D content with immersive 3D effects. Using spatial optical technology measuring just 52 millimeters thick, the display creates a pronounced sense of depth — as if an additional layer of space exists within the screen. The system integrates with existing Samsung signage, enabling centralized remote management of both content and hardware.

With life-size 3D effects and vivid visuals, Spatial Signage can be used for advertising, events, artist exhibitions and museum displays.

In the Care Companion zone, visitors saw how the latest Galaxy form factors — including the new Galaxy Z TriFold — connect mobile and wearable devices with home appliances to serve as a central hub for AI-powered living.

The area demonstrated how Samsung Health is continuing to improve sleep environments by controlling air conditioners, air purifiers, lighting and sensors. A brain health training program for users concerned with cognitive health was also showcased. Other features of the health platform include analyzing health metrics through connected devices to help identify potential signs of chronic conditions, as well as exercise and sleep coaching and recipe recommendations based on ingredients in connected refrigerators.

Samsung further highlighted its Care Companion approach through a Pet Care system that helps identify potential health issues in companion animals and Home Care services, such as SmartThings Safe, that can request emergency assistance in critical situations.

“What impressed me was how everything is connected,” said Maxence Fleury, a digital content creator from Los Angeles. “The exhibition clearly showed how the ecosystem is expanding and the impact it is having.”

As a standalone exhibition, The First Look 2026 presented a more expansive and advanced range of AI products and experiences than ever before. Samsung’s vision of AI — as a trusted companion in everyday life — offers much to look forward to in the years ahead.

Odyssey G6: The World’s First 1,040Hz Refresh Rate for High-Speed Gaming

The 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H model) gaming monitor advances competitive gaming with the world’s first 1,040Hz gaming monitor[1] through Dual Mode and native QHD support up to 600Hz, delivering esports-level motion clarity to help players track targets and see fine details during high-speed movement. When needed, the Odyssey G6 can boost performance in an instant, providing ultra-sharp resolution so viewers can experience breathtaking worlds and ultra-high speeds that fuel competitive adrenaline. With support from both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible,[2] the Odyssey G6 ensures that every frame is smooth, every colour pops and every moment feels responsive.

Odyssey G8: A High-Resolution Choice Across 6K, 5K and OLED

The Odyssey G8 series is expanding in 2026 with three distinct models, each offering a different balance of resolution and speed.

Leading the lineup, the 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS model), 6K gaming monitor, delivers native 165Hz performance with Dual Mode that supports up to 330Hz in 3K mode.

The 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF model) provides a sharp 5K option with native support up to 180Hz, and with Dual Mode boosting to 360Hz in QHD for smoother motion.

For users who want deeper contrast, the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH model) pairs a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, Glare Free viewing, 300-nit brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
