Today, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced its connected, AI-powered kitchen vision at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2026, being held in Orlando, Florida from February 17-19. Bringing together its Bespoke AI lineup and Dacor, its premium built-in kitchen brand, Samsung is introducing a premium wine culture that redefines modern living with smart storage, sophisticated design and AI innovation[1] — setting a new standard for smart and reliable homes.

Dacor’s Premium Wine Culture and the Innovative Design of the ‘Hidden Kitchen’

At the exhibition, a dedicated wall is showcasing Dacor’s refined offerings, developed with wine aficionados in mind. On display are the 24-Inch Undercounter Wine Cellar and Wine Column.

Dacor is also introducing sleek and organized kitchen designs that seamlessly blend into the overall ambiance of the home when not in use. These designs emphasize the idea of a “hidden kitchen” concealed within curved columns or furniture and encompassing a complete lineup — a refrigerator, cooktop and the 2025 LUXE RED Design Award-winning 24-Inch Dishwasher — ensuring both practicality and functionality.

Dacor’s premium appliances also support SmartThings connectivity, enabling users to manage key functions through their connected ecosystem.

Bespoke AI: Smart, Connected, and Reliable Kitchen Innovation

Also on display at KBIS is the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, which features innovative  AI Vision[2]  and  powered by advanced camera-based recognition technology. This allows users to effortlessly check the contents of their refrigerator and efficiently manage ingredient lists. Previously, the system could recognize up to 37 types of fresh food and 50 types of pre-registered processed food directly on-device[3]. Samsung plans to enhance this feature to overcome existing limitations, enabling recognition of an even greater variety of food items.

A diverse range of Bespoke AI products — including dishwashers, ovens and laundry appliances — are also on display for KBIS visitors to experience. Connected control through SmartThings2 is a key differentiator of these products, as it allows users to conveniently monitor devices from their smartphones.  The seamless harmony among these kitchen appliances is further enhanced by Bixby[4] voice control. For example, a user can stand in front of the refrigerator and ask, “Hi Bixby, can you recommend a recipe based on my ingredients list?” Then, it offers recipes and guided cooking instructions.[5]

Since reliability is a major factor in making a connected ecosystem strong and stable, Samsung has dedicated a part of its exhibit to its commitment to assuring the quality of Bespoke AI products and services that are available to consumers after purchase . Along with regular software updates, Samsung offers Home Appliance Remote Management (HRM)[6], which is a service that can help consumers understand and manage the status of appliances through monitoring[7], diagnosis, and remote service support.

Bespoke AI Enhances AI Capabilities

Samsung’s latest Bespoke AI appliances have taken AI features to a new level, offering a better living experience in both the kitchen and other spaces:

• Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra: Upgraded with improved AI Object Recognition[1], it can now detect liquids[2], even transparent ones.
• Bespoke AI Washer: AI Wash+ enables a laundry experience that better fits your clothes. It clears the minimum threshold for a Grade A in energy efficiency testing by up to 65%[3].
• Bespoke AI Dishwasher: AI Wash optimises the cleaning cycle based on how dirty the dishes are[4], and Auto Open Door allows steam to escape, accelerating the drying process.

Vision AI Expands to Larger Displays

Samsung’s Vision AI Companion is designed to feel more like a trusted companion – someone you can engage with naturally, and that responds in a human-like way – redefining home entertainment. Pursuing an open platform approach, Samsung is strengthening its partnerships with global AI technology leaders.

Galaxy AI Expands with New Devices

Starting with the Galaxy S24 series and a commitment to democratise Galaxy AI to over 200 million devices in 2024, Samsung Galaxy has defined a new era of mobile AI innovation.

Now, the latest Galaxy AI experience comes to new products, designed to deliver a seamless mobile experience on a wider range of devices with multimodal capabilities.

By the end of 2025, Samsung aims to bring the Galaxy AI experience to over 400 million devices worldwide.

Experience Future Living, Now at IFA 2025

The Samsung exhibition at IFA will be open from September 5 – 9 at the CityCube, Berlin.

Samsung Electronics is also showcasing a large-scale media art installation created in collaboration with world-renowned digital artist Maotik on a massive 50-meter-wide digital façade at the entrance of the exhibition hall.

The video, themed around “wind,” features dynamic waves formed by the organic movement of data, symbolizing how Samsung’s AI technology contributes to enhancing everyday life for its customers.

“Our primary goal for this year is to realize an AI Home that adapts intuitively to the user,” said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “We aim to enhance the user experience through continuous software upgrades for existing products, taking us one step closer to a true AI Home experience.”

New Update: Bixby and Samsung TV Plus

The Voice ID feature[2] is a new multi-voice recognition function provided by Bixby.[3] It identifies users’ voices registered either on the refrigerator or a Galaxy mobile device, enabling personalized features based on the recognized user. This allows consumers to personalize shared home appliances for individual use, offering greater convenience and functionality.

For example, Bixby intelligently switches to each user’s Samsung account based on the recognized user. Users can check their registered schedules on the calendar,[4] or their photos[5] using simple voice commands. Also, they can trigger an alarm on their phone to emit a sound revealing its location, even when the device is set to silent mode.[6]

The Voice ID feature also enables seamless interactions with the refrigerator screen for users who utilize vision enhancements on their Galaxy mobile phones. Even without a request to switch accounts, Bixby automatically switches accounts with general conversations for these users. It then synchronizes the appliance’s display modes with the settings on the user’s mobile phone, such as colour inversion or grayscale.[7]

Additionally, Samsung has introduced a new way to activate Bixby on the screen. Previously, users could activate Bixby by clicking the Bixby icon on the screen or through voice commands. When the screen is off, an additional option has been added to activate Bixby by double-tapping the display. Users can make the most of this feature by selecting their preferred method in the settings.

The update is being applied to Bespoke AI Refrigerators with AI Family Hub launching in 2025 first,[8] with availability coming after the completion of the latest software update on AI Family Hub screens or SmartThings.

Additionally, Samsung plans to gradually apply this update to the Bespoke AI refrigerators with AI Home[9] in the second quarter of 2025. For refrigerators with AI Home, the update expands the service area for Samsung TV Plus, as well. Previously available in only South Korea and the United States, the service will extend to Canada in the future. Thanks to the update, it is expected that consumers will be able to easily enjoy entertainment features right from their kitchen with Samsung TV Plus.

Samsung’s AI Opti Wash & Dry technology uses powerful AI sensors to detect soil levels and fabrics, automatically adjusting settings as needed during the cycle to deliver a better wash and dry⁶. For added convenience, the Flex Auto Dispense System automatically dispenses detergent for up to 47 loads⁷ — or users can choose to split the compartment, so it dispenses up to 34 loads of fabric softener and 25 loads of detergent. SmartThings Energy allows them to monitor power consumption for improved control over their energy usage¹⁰. They can also turn on AI Energy Mode to have the Vented Combo automatically optimize its energy consumption and reduce usage by up to 30%¹¹. The Vented Combo is also equipped with Samsung’s Less Microfiber cycle setting, which allows users to gently clean synthetic textiles while reducing up to 39% of microfibers released during a cycle¹².

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. unveiled its refreshed “AI Home” vision and innovative appliance lineup at its global launch event, Welcome to Bespoke AI, in Seoul, Korea. With a focus on providing a more intuitive user experience, the company introduced an AI Home experience, showcasing advanced AI features and a wider range of screen-enabled appliances.

Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, opened the global press conference by introducing the company’s vision for creating an AI Home that harmoniously connects various devices and, as a result, caters to user needs in every room of the home.

“Through our Bespoke AI appliances, Samsung has brought an AI Home to life that not only enhances everyday convenience but also enables energy savings and care,” said Jeong Seung Moon. “We will continue to expand the advanced AI Home to more households, leveraging smart screens, Bixby and Knox security.”

The 2025 Bespoke AI Appliance Lineup

Samsung unveiled the new Bespoke AI appliances for 2025.

During the event, Samsung introduced its Bespoke AI appliances for 2025, which bring new and innovative functionalities to solve users’ difficult problems.

At the heart of the company’s vision is the AI Home display¹. Built upon the innovation of the first introduction of the AI Home display last year, the AI Home with new size options has been expanded to a broad range of new products, such as Bespoke AI Refrigerators, the Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo, Washers, and Dryers².

The 9-inch AI Home screen on the Bespoke AI Refrigerator lineup increases consumers’ options by offering a similar experience to what’s available on the larger AI Family Hub screen. With the upgraded AI Vision Inside³, food management has been enhanced with new features such as recognition of processed food items⁴ . Through the 7-inch AI Home in the Bespoke AI Laundry, users can intuitively control the washing and drying cycles, as well as monitor and control other connected devices⁵.

The Bespoke AI Laundry includes new functions to enhance consumer convenience, with new standalone models that have upgraded AI Wash and AI Dry to AI Wash+ and AI Dry+⁶. Also, Samsung unveiled the new Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo, which is the Samsung’s first vented combo.

Samsung is continuing to innovate its vacuum cleaner lineup, as well. The cordless stick vacuum cleaner, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, will be launched with powerful suction power of up to 400W⁷. The upgraded AI Cleaning Mode 2.0⁸ classifies more diverse environments⁹ like corners¹⁰ and the type of carpet¹¹ for customized cleaning performance.

Samsung Home Appliances Bring Easy To Use, Care and Saving to Consumers

Samsung elaborated further on its “AI Home” vision and its commitment to integrating AI across the connected experience to cater to diverse lifestyles — through the core benefits of Easy to Use, Care and Saving.

Thanks to the adoption of the AI Home display, users will find it easier than ever to engage with the full functionality of their Bespoke AI appliances. The smart screen is a central control hub,  connecting devices through SmartThings without the need for a separate hub device¹². Users can also utilize features like the refrigerators’ Daily Board to receive personalized information and better manage their day — or use Map View to effortlessly monitor and control other connected devices.

New SmartThings services were also introduced during the event, including Family Care¹³, which sends an alert to other family members if a user’s movement is not detected at the set time — or if there is no activity for a certain amount of time after the last activity. In addition, all of this functionality is tightly secured by Samsung Knox.

Continued Efforts To Deliver Reliable Experiences

To complete its “AI Home” vision for 2025, Samsung shone a light on how it is pushing the boundaries of innovation, prioritizing a trusted experience for users.

First, Samsung will apply enhanced Knox security to devices across the lineup so that users will be able to enjoy their AI Home experience with peace of mind. This year in particular, Trust Chain, which is part of Knox Matrix, is applied to all Wi-Fi enabled appliances launching in 2025. Users can continuously monitor products’ security status in real time through the dashboard¹⁴.

Knox Vault is also applied to home appliances for the first time¹⁵, storing particularly sensitive user information, such as passwords and authentication information, in a separate hardware chip to ensure protection. Furthermore, to protect against the potential of future quantum attacks, Samsung’s security is also equipped with post-quantum cryptography (PQC), a part of Knox Matrix Credential Sync, for its screen-applied products¹⁶.

Another key priority for Samsung is making sure that customers can use the latest software features on their existing appliances without buying new ones. With Smart Forward¹⁷, the software update service through SmartThings, Samsung continuously updates its appliances with new features to enhance the consumer experience.

Samsung is also actively improving product maintenance. SmartThings Home Care utilizes AI to diagnose each appliance’s status, and if signs of malfunction are detected, it sends a notification in advance. In addition, a technical support representative can provide guidance on remote measures based on pre-diagnosis results¹⁸. This support feature has already expanded to more countries, including France, Netherlands, and Canada, following Korea and the United States.

By integrating all of these wide-ranging initiatives, Samsung aims to create more convenient and customized smart home experiences that users can enjoy with comfort and peace of mind.

A Smarter Way To Manage Food, Home, Family Communication and Entertainment

Samsung’s new refrigerators incorporate the intuitive 9” AI Home screen and 32” or 21.5” Family Hub screens, which are designed to enhance four key areas of daily life: Food, Home, Family Communication and Entertainment. The first category, food, is powered by the upgraded AI Vision Inside, which adds four more food items to the list of recognizable types for a total of 37. Furthermore, adding on to fresh food items, AI Vision Inside can now also recognize processed food items. Refrigerators with the enhanced AI Vision Inside will recognize and recommend users to save processed food items that have been placed inside multiple times, allowing up to 50 items to be saved with designated names³. Based on the improved food list, the screen will provide tailored recipe recommendations and meal planning⁴, making home cooking more seamless and personalized.

Beyond food, the screens also enhance smart home connectivity. The latest advancements provide deeper integration into the smart home ecosystem, making the refrigerator a central hub capable of controlling connected appliances throughout the entire home. With the integration of Map View, users can monitor and control Samsung appliances and even third-party smart home devices⁵ like lights and smart plugs. There’s also SmartThings Energy⁶, which helps users track and optimize their energy consumption, facilitating greater efficiency in everyday life. The intuitive display provides users with access to a great deal of information about their home, with users also being able to issue voice commands through Bixby⁷.

The new Daily Board feature keeps everyone informed and connected. Placed at the heart of the home, the refrigerator screen delivers real-time updates throughout the day — whether it’s the morning weather and schedule before heading to work, or daily energy consumption reports in the evening. Users can also easily access their schedules through voice commands and receive tailored responses. By recognizing each family member’s voice and replying accordingly, Bixby will serve as both a helpful assistant for the entire household and for each person individually⁸. Additional family-focused features include a shared gallery for storing precious memories and a calendar to help with daily planning.

Samsung’s latest refrigerators also redefine entertainment in the kitchen, allowing users to stay engaged while cooking or spending time with family. With Spotify integration, users can listen to their favorite music or podcasts directly from their fridge⁹. SmartView Mirroring enables seamless screen sharing from smartphones or Samsung TVs, and the dedicated gallery feature lets families display their favorite photos, adding a personal touch to the kitchen

The Next Generation of Refrigeration

The 4-Door Refrigerator is designed to meet the needs of modern households with its innovative features¹⁰. The 9” AI Home applied on select models allows the refrigerator to integrate seamlessly with the smart home ecosystem.

The 4-Door Refrigerator also comes in Kitchen Fit design, allowing agile installation that requires only a tiny gap of just 4mm from the sides and 20mm from the top. Also, the refrigerator’s doors have been enhanced with SpaceMax insulation technology that uses less amount of high-efficiency insulation, increasing the space in the doors by 56% compared to previous models equaling 10L in capacity¹¹. Users can also enjoy convenience with the wide opening door that opens more than 90 degrees, and the food showcase to store frequently used items.

The 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, launching in North America, is available in various configurations, including a 32” Family Hub and a 9” AI Home. This flexibility allows users to choose the best fit for their kitchen. The Auto Open Door¹² feature ensures hassle-free accessibility with just a gentle tap, making it accessible to everyone in all kinds of situations to effortlessly access the inside of the fridge. It also has a Beverage Center that includes a water dispenser and a 1.4L Auto-Fill Water Pitcher that is BPA free¹³. Apart from ensuring that fresh, filtered water is always available, the pitcher also allows users to infuse their water with fruits and herbs.

All three types of refrigerators come with the AI Energy Mode feature, allowing users to reduce energy consumption by up to an additional 10%¹⁴. Users can choose to activate the mode always, or when electricity bills are expected to exceed the preset target.

With these latest innovative solutions, Samsung continues to push the boundaries of the connected kitchen, transforming the refrigerator into an intelligent hub that enhances food management, smart home integration and entertainment. Samsung Electronics’ new Bespoke AI product lineup

Samsung Electronics will hold “Welcome to Bespoke AI” in Seoul, Korea, at the end of March, where it will unveil its latest home appliance lineup and strategy for the year, under the theme of “Home Living Made Simple.”

Ahead of the upcoming event, Samsung released a teaser video. The video features a washing machine connected to SmartThings, highlighting the convenience of Samsung’s AI Home, where AI-connected devices work together seamlessly.

Following on from its “AI for All” vision laid out at CES 2025 in January, Samsung is continuing to build out a suite of user-focused, AI-enhanced solutions providing truly personalized services for living spaces — all based on the foundation of constantly improving solutions like Samsung Knox, Bixby and SmartThings.

The exhibition showcases Bespoke AI appliances —the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and the Bespoke Slide-in Induction Range — which are great additions to any smart home ecosystem. The LCD screens on these appliances act as a hub, allowing easy and intuitive access and control across various intelligent, connected devices. Visitors can experience how implementation of AI can deliver a personalized experience and make daily routines better and more enjoyable.

Additionally, the exhibition provides information on AI Energy Mode in SmartThings Energy[1] and Samsung Care, both of which support Samsung’s commitment to making users’ daily lives more convenient.

Samsung’s KBIS booth also has a dedicated space with built-in appliances from Dacor, including the 2025 Dacor Induction Range. Designed for a premium kitchen, Dacor’s 30” Column Refrigerator – Panel Ready; 30” Column Freezer – Panel Ready; 30” Combination Wall Oven with Steam; and 24” Built-in Wine Dispenser form a seamless wall to bring a clean and luxurious look to the home interior. Introducing the 2025 Dacor Induction Range: A Powerful Enhancement to Any Kitchen

The 2025 Dacor Induction Range empowers users to quickly and flexibly cook a variety of dishes. The powerful heat of a 4.3kW Induction Cooktop enables fast cooking that seals in delicious flavors, making it ideal for sautéing, searing or quickly boiling. The cooktop’s Anti Scratch Glass makes surface cleaning super easy, and the matte black finish adds a premium look to the kitchen.

There’s also a 7” Sync Burner that allows users to adjust two separate burners with one control so they can be kept at the same temperature and act as one large cooking zone for large cookware.

Additionally, Dacor’s Dual Four-part Pure Convection system cooks multiple dishes quickly and thoroughly, reducing cooking time by distributing heat evenly across the entire oven. The four key components are as follows:

• a 1300W heating element to provide heat
• a convection fan to circulate air
• an oven-specific baffle to evenly channel air
• a triple-mesh filter to help prevent flavor crossover

Users will also benefit from the luxurious Art Hairline Finish, which features long, horizontal brush strokes on the stainless-steel exterior to contribute to a sophisticated matte appearance that blends harmoniously with kitchen interiors.

In-Booth Events

Building on the strong foundation of a multi-year partnership, Samsung Electronics and Procter & Gamble launched the “Tide POD Cold” wash cycle on Samsung washers, making cold-water energy saving a convenient and effective reality for consumers across North America.

This type of joint innovation was made possible through close collaboration between two leaders in their respective industries. For example, Samsung continues to develop washer innovations with notable examples including AI Energy Mode, which allows consumers to save energy.

To delve deeper into this collaboration, we sat down with Sung Dae Lee, Head Engineer from the Digital Appliance (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics, and Jon Powell, Senior Director of Fabric Care Research & Development at P&G to get their thoughts on this cross-border, cross-time zone initiative. Below are some of the highlights from the interview:

Q: How did this collaboration come about?

Sung Dae Lee: The collaboration between Samsung and P&G has its origins in a simple idea. How can we deliver a superior cleaning experience when using cold water? The product developers at Samsung, together with P&G scientists, discovered that by combining key elements of Samsung’s hardware and software technology together with Tide’s unique formulation, laundry could be washed in cold water while still delivering excellent cleaning performance.

Q: Can you tell us about the synergy of this collaborative process?

Jon Powell: The collaboration involved technical synergy between P&G and Samsung, with both companies working together to design the Tide POD Cold cycle. This involved understanding the parameters of the Samsung machines and how the detergent chemistries interacted with those parameters to deliver optimal performance.

Sung Dae Lee: The Samsung washing machine with AI Energy Mode reduces electricity consumption for heating water, while the Tide POD Cold cycle ensures effective cleaning in cold water. Both companies prioritize energy conservation, which enhances our synergy.

Q: Can you tell us more about the formulation of Tide detergent? What makes Tide so effective, even in cold water?

Jon Powell: Tide detergent formulation incorporates special ingredients such as polymer systems to make it effective, even in cold water. Tide uses specially designed surfactants to help lift and remove soils, and these are especially effective at greasy food stain and body soil removal. Proprietary enzymes, which remain stable and effective at low temperatures, help remove specific types of stains like chocolate, toothpaste and grass stains. Polymer systems ensure that everything removed from the clothes gets suspended in the wash water and does not redeposit on the clothes.

To validate the performance of the new Tide POD Cold cycle, P&G performed certification testing. Stain removal tests were conducted using Samsung machines to compare the relative amount of stain removal between the normal cold cycle, the Tide POD Cold cycle, and the normal warm cycle.

Q: Were there any characteristics specific to the U.S. market or its users that were emphasized during development?

Sung Dae Lee: Generally speaking, U.S. consumers prefer shorter washing machine cycles, so we focused on achieving effective cleaning in cold water without increasing wash time. As a result of these efforts, the Tide POD Cold cycle only takes three minutes longer than the Normal cycle, while still delivering outstanding cleaning performance.

Q: What are your thoughts about Samsung’s laundry technology?

Jon Powell: Samsung has great machines, and their engineers have a deep understanding of designing machines that are easy to use and provide a high level of customization for consumers through AI. The LCD screen not only allowed for convenient product control but also provided easy access to various services such as the internet and YouTube. Samsung has designed a user experience that makes laundry easy and accessible for consumers.

Q:Please tell us more about P&G’s Tide Cold Certified program.

Jon Powell: The Tide Cold Certified program was launched to encourage more loads to be done in cold water. P&G aims to work with partners, such as Samsung, to provide an excellent wash performance, even when using cold water. Q: Any final comments that you would like to share regarding the partnership, including your future vision or aspirations?

Sung Dae Lee: This experience has further encouraged Samsung to view consumer needs from many different perspectives and strive to deliver the most satisfying experiences possible.

Jon Powell: The partnership between P&G and Samsung is just getting started. The shared vision of both companies to deliver superior consumer experiences every day provides opportunities for future collaboration and innovation.
