Q: Tell us about the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. What makes them ideal productivity devices?

PE: When we designed the latest foldables, we wanted to make sure they delivered maximum value on several fronts, both personal and professional. The marquee feature of the Galaxy Z Fold4 is its foldable screen that stands on its own so users can video conference hands free or jot down notes with the optional S Pen^[1]. When unfolded, users benefit from a 7.6-inch expansive screen, letting them view a spreadsheet, contract, or creative mock-up in greater detail. Lastly, the multi-active window with taskbar feature lets users quickly launch up to three apps, side by side, plus, drag and drop content from one window to the other – making it easier for a user to work remotely from their mobile device.

With the Galaxy Z Flip4, we really leaned into the idea that work doesn’t stop when you’re away from the office. The informative Cover Screen provides compact connectivity, allowing professionals to answer or make calls, view notifications and respond to texts even when the phone is folded shut. Workers can also use Flex Mode^[2] on their Galaxy Flip4 to flex the phone, set it down and run conference calls hands-free from virtually anywhere.

Q: How do the latest Galaxy foldables help employees complete tasks and work with apps that are traditionally accessed on a laptop?

PE: The latest Galaxy foldables are optimized to support Microsoft Office, making it easier to create and edit documents on the go without having to power up a laptop. Our optimized Office experience means that popular Office apps, like Word, Excel and PowerPoint, can be used the same way they would be used on a laptop. That means everyone has access to important files, regardless of their location. We know that work is no longer confined to a desk, so Microsoft integration ensures always-on access to OneDrive and Teams, whether you’re in the office, working from home or between appointments.

If professionals do find themselves in a situation where a laptop is needed, we came up with a solution just for that. Samsung DeX on the Galaxy Z Fold4 lets them connect their device wirelessly to a monitor or a TV, pair a keyboard and mouse, and get to work in an intuitive PC-like environment. Whether they’re finalizing a sales contract or presenting a pitch to clients, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and DeX provides professionals with the convenience and familiarity of a desktop-like experience.

Q: What would you tell employers who are uncomfortable with so much work being conducted from a smartphone?

PE: The Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 are both equipped with built-in defense grade security that helps protect both business and personal data stored on the device from the chip up. This feature is called Knox Security, and when combined with Knox Vault, which protects passwords and biometrics information, it helps to ensure that sensitive data stays secure.

Q: Nowadays, with everything being remote, why is it important for professionals to carry devices that work together?

“While our hand-drawn chalkboard looked great, it wasn’t an ideal way to update customers on our menu,” said Common Crown Brewing founder, Damon Moreau. “Our Samsung Business TV has allowed us to effectively change menu content with just the touch of a button and gives us an assortment of templates to choose from, really simplifying the process.”

With a new expansion just completed, Raging Crow was looking for a way to educate customers about its small batch, hand-crafted range of products while enjoying the new space.

“After doubling the size of the distillery, we wanted to encourage people to explore the property while learning more about our products,” said Jill Linquist, president at Raging Crow. “With the addition of the Samsung Business TV, we can create eye-catching content that also educates guests on our products and the process here at the distillery.”

Split-Screen Showcase

While maître fromager (a.k.a. cheese master) Afrim Pristine, co-owner of Cheese Boutique, is sourcing top-notch ingredients, he wanted to make sure that visitors to the Toronto store were able to find out more about the great selection of products on their shelves. With the Business TV’s 30 L-Bar templates, the store is able to play promotional content while TV programming remains on screen, a feature that is a great advantage to the business.

“The split-screen capabilities on the Business TV are one of our favourite features,” said Pristine. “It allows us to feature our very own Cheese Boutique TV show Cheese: A Love Story on one side, while simultaneously showcasing the great cheeses and promotions that we have on offer on the other.”

With an operating time of 16 hours a day, seven days a week, the Business TV also allows users to enjoy flexible control by setting an On and Off Timer, so employees can focus on helping guests.

At popular from-scratch bakery SanRemo, the owners were looking not only for a marketing tool to better showcase their products and communicate with guests, but also one that fits with the bakery’s own aesthetics.
