Samsung and SkipTheDishes are hitting university campuses across Canada for the start of the back to school season, introducing students to the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 and local restaurants from SkipTheDishes. Samsung has created the Galaxy Grub, a one of a kind food truck serving food from top local restaurants courtesy of Samsung and SkipTheDishes. Students will be able to experience the latest Galaxy AI features such as Circle to Search with Google[1] and receive local restaurant dishes from SkipTheDishes! Galaxy Grub will make its first appearance at MacEwan University on September 4th. A full list of stops can be found below.

In order to receive their meal courtesy of SkipTheDishes and Samsung, students will leverage the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. With Circle to Search, participants will use features to translate menu items and solve for tip calculations. To order your meal, students will use Interpreter[2] to speak with the foreign speaking chef upon ordering. As a bonus, students can circle dishes they’re interested in, text them to Gemini and receive a recipe for them to make the dish at home afterwards if they wish. Students can even capture the perfect food photo with FlexCam and use Quick Share to upload it to their personal devices.

Completing each of these challenges will earn students a food dish from a top local restaurant through the Galaxy Grub food truck.

In addition, Samsung and SkipTheDishes want to rewards students this fall with a chance to win one of three Galaxy Prize Packs, each consisting of a Galaxy Z Flip6, a Galaxy Watch Ultra, a Galaxy Buds3Pro, and a $2,000 SkipTheDishes gift card. The contest will be open nationally online for students (excluding Quebec) to enter at https://www.galaxygrub.ca by filling out the contest entry form.[3]
