<p>Samsung Canada has been recognized as the 2025 Appliance Manufacturer of the Year by ENERGY STAR Canada, a program administered by Natural Resources Canada. This marks the seventh time Samsung has earned the Appliance Manufacturer of the Year title, underscoring its continued commitment to advancing energy-efficient technologies and helping Canadians make more informed choices at home.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>A proud ENERGY STAR Canada participant since 2003, Samsung continues to demonstrate excellence in the development of intuitive home appliances. In 2024, Samsung expanded its ENERGY STAR backed lineup across Canada, with 100 percent of its dishwashers and front-load washers, 81 percent of refrigerators, 60 percent of top-load washers, and 49 percent of dryers now ENERGY STAR certified. In total, Samsung offers 170 ENERGY STAR certified appliance models in the Canadian market, up from 156 the year prior.</p>

<p>Key factors in Samsung Canada’s ENERGY STAR Canada 2020 Award for Sustained Excellence include an increase in the percentage of ENERGY STAR certified products within Samsung’s offerings in 2019. Samsung’s ENERGY STAR certified product portfolio now includes 100 percent of dishwashers, 87 percent of refrigerators, 95 percent of clothes washers, and 45 percent of clothes dryers—an increase of 24 percent over 2018.</p>

<p>Today’s announcement marks Samsung Canada’s eleventh ENERGY STAR Canada award. Previous wins include Appliance Manufacturer of the Year (2017, 2018 and 2019); Electronics Manufacturer of the Year (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018); “<em>ENERGY STAR Most Efficient</em>” Promoter of the Year (2015; 2016); and Collaborative Initiative of the Year (2012).</p>

The designation marks the third consecutive win for Samsung across this category, and highlights the continued Samsung commitment to energy-efficient product innovation for real-world impact.</p>

Key factors in Samsung Canada’s 2019 ENERGY STAR Award win include Samsung increasing market penetration of ENERGY STAR certified home appliances by 75 models in 2018—an increase of 7% over 2017, and 24% over 2016, respectively. Beyond the increase in the number of certified models, Samsung also increased the number of products certified as Most Efficient by 11% to a total of 31.<br />
Today’s announcement marks Samsung Canada’s tenth ENERGY STAR Canada award win. Previous wins include Appliance Manufacturer of the Year (2017 and 2018); Electronics Manufacturer of the Year (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018); “ENERGY STAR Most Efficient” Promoter of the Year 2015 (2016); Collaborative Initiative of the Year (2012).<br />
