The J.D. Power study assessed feedback from more than 15,000 customers who purchased home appliances within the past year, measuring their satisfaction on a 1,000-point scale according to various dimensions.

Samsung Electronics Canada is proud to share this year’s recent rankings and results of the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Kitchen and Laundry Appliance Satisfaction Studies. Samsung has received more J.D. Power Awards for Kitchen and Laundry Appliances than any other manufacturer in 2020, ranking highest in eight out of 11 segments.

Consumer satisfaction was measured on a 1000-point scale and was based on six factors: ease of use, features, performance and reliability, price, styling and appearance, and warranty.

This year, Samsung ranked highest in all three segments of the J.D. Power 2020 Laundry Appliance Satisfaction Study as follows:

• In the Front-Load Washers segment, Samsung has occupied the number one spot for the past three consecutive years (tying for #1 in 2020) based on a calculated roll-up of performance scores weighted relative to their importance to overall satisfaction and scored highest in the factors of features, and styling and appearance.
• In Top-Load Washers, Samsung ranked number one for the second year in a row out of 5 brands and performed highest in performance and reliability, price, ease of use, features, styling and appearance, and warranty.
• In Clothes Dryers, Samsung ranked number one for the second year in a row out of 5 brands and performed highest in performance and reliability, price, ease of use, features, styling and appearance, and warranty.

Samsung also ranked highest in five segments of the J.D. Power 2020 Kitchen Appliance Satisfaction Study.

• In Freestanding Ranges, Samsung ranked number one for the second year in a row out of 6 brands and performed highest in performance and reliability, ease of use, price, styling and appearance, and features.
• In Over-the-Range Microwaves, Samsung ranked number one for the second year in a row out of 6 brands and performed highest in price, styling and appearance, and features.
• In Dishwashers, Samsung ranked number one out of 8 brands and performed highest in price, features, and warranty.
• In French Door Refrigerators, Samsung ranked number one out of 4 brands and performed highest in performance and reliability, ease of use, price, styling and appearance, features, and warranty.
• In Top Mount Freezers (Two Door), Samsung ranked number one out of 6 brands and performed highest in performance and reliability, ease of use, price, styling and appearance, features, and warranty.
