Samsung Electronics has announced the release of the Odyssey Universe, a new customized map created for gamers to experience in Fortnite[1], based on the premium Odyssey series of monitors from Samsung.

The Odyssey Universe is a new in-game experience expressing how the leading Samsung Odyssey monitor lineup helps gamers deliver on the promise of next-generation games.

“We are happy to introduce the Odyssey’s own customized gaming experience along with fun in one of the most popular game around the world.” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to introduce the industry-leading Odyssey lineup and raise the awareness of our gaming monitors by providing new, exciting experiences and events.”

The Odyssey Universe features each space inspired by the main product name of the Odyssey lineup. The permanent new map is divided into 5 spaces, each of them inspired by and representing an industry-leading entry in the Odyssey monitor lineup. It ranges from the Level Ark, which is derived from the “Odyssey Ark” providing a new frontier of immersion with the 55-inch large screen, to Level G9∙G8∙G7∙G6 in line with products such as Odyssey Neo G9 and G8. Each space will have its own mission for players to clear, with a variety of objectives and rewards during gameplay.

Samsung Electronics Canada recently announced the availability of the 2022 Odyssey G85NB, G75NB and G40B gaming monitor lineup, delivering one of the most immersive and lifelike gaming experience available on the market. The G85NB – a 240Hz 4K gaming monitor – is available in a 32-inch format, offering super-realistic picture quality, rapid response times and premium performance.

Odyssey Neo G8 (G85NB) – Superb in speed and resolution

The new 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 combines a 4K (3,840 x 2,160), 1000R curved VA panel featuring Quantum Matrix Technology, with 240Hz super-fast refresh rate and 1ms response time (GtG^[1]). The 4K resolution is also supported by a colour gamut up to 95% of DCI-P3 colour gamut^[2]. The design of the Neo G8 was inspired by the iconic style of the Odyssey Neo G9, offering an effortlessly cool exterior which is packed with premium gaming performance features in the interior.

Together with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, the gaming monitor’s outstanding 4K 240Hz refresh rate and ultra-low 1ms response time allow players to get real-world accuracy to maximize their potential and compete at the highest level in any gaming environment. The Neo G8 also utilizes Quantum Matrix technology, enabling ultra-fine and precise control of the densely packed Quantum Mini LEDs, ensuring gamers see both dark and bright scenes as they were intended. This performance is powered by many of the same features as the Odyssey Neo G8 model, including AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Quantum Matrix technology, as well as Quantum HDR 2000 with 2,000nit peak brightness and a million-to-one static contrast ratio for superb immersion that plunges players into the virtual world of any game they play.

The deep immersion is enhanced by the CoreSync lighting found on the rear of the monitor, bringing content to life with bright and vivid colours that create memorable experiences.
