Samsung Electronics today announced that its 2025 OLED TV lineup will feature NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, delivering ultra-smooth gameplay, low latency, and enhanced responsiveness to meet the needs of gaming enthusiasts worldwide.

With NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, Samsung’s 2025 OLED TVs synchronize the TV’s refresh rate with the GPU’s frame rate, reducing screen tearing and stuttering for a seamless and immersive gaming experience.[1] Paired with Samsung’s Motion Xcelerator technology, which supports refresh rates up to 165Hz, gamers can enjoy exceptionally fluid visuals and sharp clarity during fast-paced action scenes.

Additional core gaming features include Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to minimize input lag and deliver instant response, and Samsung Gaming Hub, which provides instant access to console and cloud-based gaming platforms, including Xbox and NVIDIA GeForce NOW.

To further elevate gameplay, the 2025 OLED TVs introduce AI Auto Game Mode, which intelligently analyzes game genres and scene content in real time to automatically optimize picture and sound settings—eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Gamers can also take advantage of the Game Bar, a pop-up interface that allows quick access to key settings without exiting the game.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that approximately 80 models in its 2025 TV, monitor and soundbar lineups have received Product Carbon Reduction¹ and Product Carbon Footprint² certifications from TÜV Rheinland, a globally recognized certification organization based in Germany. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the premium lineups, Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED, have received certifications, reinforcing the company’s continued efforts in carbon reduction.

Following last year’s certification of 60 models across the Neo QLED, OLED and Lifestyle TV categories, Samsung has further increased its number of certified products in 2025 to include QLED TVs. In addition, the company is also working towards obtaining certification for its Color E-Paper lineup later this year.

The certifications from TÜV Rheinland are awarded following a rigorous evaluation of a product’s entire lifecycle — including manufacturing, transportation, usage and disposal — based on internationally recognized standards. By assessing and verifying carbon emissions at each stage, these certifications highlight Samsung’s efforts to reduce environmental impact across its product lineup.

In particular, the Product Carbon Reduction certification is granted to products that have already received a Product Carbon Footprint certification and further demonstrate a measurable reduction in carbon emissions compared to their predecessors.

Samsung’s efforts to reduce its products’ carbon  footprint  date back to 2021, when the Neo QLED became the first 4K and higher-resolution TV to earn the Reducing CO₂ certification from Carbon Trust. Since then, Samsung has continually expanded its portfolio of certified products, including QLED, Crystal UHD, Lifestyle TVs, OLED TVs and a wide range of monitors and digital signage products.

Company maintains leadership in overall global gaming monitor market for fifth consecutive year, based on total revenue

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in the display industry, has secured the top position in global sales of OLED monitors just one year after launching its first OLED model —  the 34″ Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SB model), a gaming monitor.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung Electronics has taken the top position in the global OLED monitor market by capturing 34.7% of market share based on total revenue, and the top position in market share based on sales volume with 28.3% of OLED monitors sold in 2023.[1]

• Vibrary: Enjoy your some of your favourite artist’s high-quality images via the big screen of your TV. With Ambient Mode, you can be welcomed by your favourite artist’s works. You can also enjoy photos and music from TV and mobile devices through Casting, providing a seamless viewing experience.

The latest TV and screen lineup also boasts enhanced accessibility offerings, allowing more consumers to enjoy their favourite content on Samsung Neo QLED than ever before.

• Audio Subtitle: This on-device TV feature uses AI and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to provide a voice guide for embedded subtitles in real-time.
• Customizable Remote: An app designed for users with visual, auditory or physical challenges by enabling more thoughtful TV control via smartphones. The highly customizable app incorporates UI enhancements such as intuitive button placement, distinct colours and tactile feedback, while also integrating Samsung’s latest accessibility features such as voice guides for easy access right from the smartphone.

MICRO LED: Pushing the Boundaries of Display Technology

With the new transparent MICRO LED, Samsung is showing the world that there are new possibilities for screens. The screen, which looks like a piece of transparent glass, boasts an extremely small MICRO LED chip and precision manufacturing process that eliminates seams and light refraction. Samsung’s years of research and development — stemming from its semiconductor expertise — have led to its development of a process that allows LED chip operation circuits to be directly deposited on the glass, which  mitigates against  loss of brightness that users may experience with conventional displays.

Offering Wider OLED Lineups To Meet Consumer Preferences

Samsung’s 2024 OLED TVs build on the legacy of last year’s models, with the S95D offering an ultra-large 77-inch canvas for high-detail, a high-frame rate and intensely vibrant video. The display is 20% brighter than previous models, with deep and rich blacks and AI-enhanced colour accuracy

that is Pantone Validated. Samsung has also introduced the S90D and S85D in various sizes, from 42” to 83’’.[8]

New ‘OLED Glare Free’ technology[9] — specifically designed for 2024 OLED screens — preserves colour accuracy and reduces glare while maintaining image sharpness to provide an immersive viewing experience, even in daylight. The OLED-optimized, low-reflection coatinglimits glare thanks to a new, specialized hard-coating layer and surface coating pattern.

The S95D’s screen will captivate audiences with advanced, proprietary picture-quality computing enginesthat preserve bright whites, deeper blacks and immersive colours. In addition to being Samsung’s brightest OLED screen yet, it also features high refresh rates of up to 144Hz, so sports fans and gamers can enjoy seamless motion and clear action on their screens.

New Lifestyle Products Deliver Bespoke Solutions To Enrich Your Lifestyle

In addition to its lifestyle lineup that includes The Frame, The Serif and The Terrace, Samsung is reaffirming its commitment to “Screens Everywhere, Screens for All” with the various new products in its latest lifestyle lineup. These new additions provide new  customization and personalization options, as seen below:

• The Frame: Already Samsung’s best-selling  lifestyle screen product, The Frame comes with new enhancements to boost the art experience. Now with over 2,500 artworks from world-renowned museums and galleries in the Art Store, users can enjoy an expanded Art Store experience. • HW-S800D: This ultra-thin, 1.6-inch-deep soundbar is designed to fit seamlessly into your space and provides rich and immersive sound. At only a third of the depth of conventional soundbars, the S800D has 10 drivers, including dedicated overhead speakers and a center channel for clear vocals. Samsung Electronics announced new Odyssey OLED gaming monitors debuting at CES® 2024, the world’s biggest tech event owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, in Las Vegas next week.

The new OLED models deliver on the performance and visual clarity gamers look for in their monitors, and include the Odyssey OLED G9 (Model Name: G95SD), Odyssey OLED G8 (Model Name: G80SD), and the Odyssey OLED G6 (Model Name: G60SD).

The Odyssey OLED G9 is a 49″ curved ultra-wide gaming monitor with DQHD (5,120×1,440) resolution and a 32:9 aspect ratio and other upgraded features. The Odyssey OLED G8 is Samsung’s first flat 32-inch OLED gaming monitor with 4K UHD (3,840×2,160) resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Both monitors have a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time[1]. The Odyssey OLED G6 is a 27″ QHD (2,560×1,440) monitor which supports a 16:9 aspect ratio, 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time.

“Along with game genres, gaming platforms are getting more diverse,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung’s new OLED Odyssey gaming monitors will empower gamers with more immersive game environments and innovative technology that personalizes their gaming experiences — meeting and exceeding their evolving needs.”

Technologies Enabling Delicate Nuance

All three new models feature OLED Glare-Free technology that is designed to reduce glare, enabling an elevated viewing experience, so users can play games with consistent brightness and colour in various lighting environments.

With VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, the monitors deliver incredible details and vivid colours. What’s more, they support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for ultra-smooth, low-latency HDR gaming.

The three new monitors bring comprehensive physical connectivity, with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB hub and a DisplayPort 1.4 input. Users will also enjoy better comfort and convenience with VESA[2] mount compatibility and a height adjustable stand (HAS) that features tilt, swivel and pivot[3] control points.

Connected Experiences in a Complete Ecosystem

The Odyssey OLED G9 and Odyssey OLED G8 now offer Multi Control, a new feature that provides seamless device connectivity for an easier, improved multi-device Samsung experience. Multi Control allows users to seamlessly transfer images and/or text between their Samsung monitor and other Samsung devices — including their Galaxy Book, tablet or phone — for a smoother, more efficient work process using their mouse and keyboard[4].

Additionally, the Odyssey OLED G9 and Odyssey OLED G8 include the Samsung SmartThings Hub. With the built-in hub, users can connect to various IoT devices that are compatible with Matter and the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA), for device control[5].

When switching from work to play, the Odyssey OLED G9 and Odyssey OLED G8 monitors are all-in-one entertainment hubs. Equipped with the Samsung Smart TV platform and Samsung Gaming Hub, they provide access to streaming and cloud gaming services that do not require downloads or a PC/console.[6]

A Sleek Design to Light up Any Space

For the first time, Samsung has brought flat OLED options to the Odyssey lineup, and a 16:9 aspect ratio to the Odyssey OLED G8 and Odyssey OLED G6. The new models leverage the Odyssey OLED lineup’s slim metal design and include new Core Lighting+ to fit in its slim bezel.

Core Lighting+ immerses users in the environments of their games and entertainment by emitting ambient light from the back of the monitor. And with a lighting circle four times slimmer than the previous model (G95SC), it fits in seamlessly with the slim 3.9mm metal bezel. There’s also a new slim metal stand that has a tool-free assembly structure, using a 3mm metal plate that provides harmony with the display design and opens up space for other devices.

With the unveiling of these new models, Samsung has further strengthened its OLED lineup and bolstered its position as a leader in the gaming monitor market. Together, the Odyssey OLED innovations and the continued advancements of the Odyssey Neo series — which saw the release of the world’s first Dual UHD gaming monitor last year with the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 — are delivering features and performance to help define the future of gaming.

From the scintillating sound of a sizzling short rib to the sight of delicate shavings falling gently from a black truffle, a delicious three-course dinner prepared by professional chef Dustin Gallagher was recently brought to life on the big screen thanks to Samsung’s new line-up of Premium TVs, the Neo QLED 8K and OLED.

For the launch of their new Premium TVs, Samsung Canada partnered with Dustin Gallagher, the chef and owner at Toronto’s Noble House, to highlight the innovative technology and superb brightness, colour and contrast behind these TVs.

The new range, including 2023 models of Neo QLED 8K and OLED, provide an immersive viewing experience. From stunning 8K technology showing even the tiniest details to Pantone-validated screens[1] bringing colour to life, the new Premium TVs are designed to wow consumers and push the boundaries of both picture quality and impeccable design.

“Samsung has maintained its position as a global leader in the TV market for 17 years in a row[2] by providing exceptional TV viewing experiences, and these new models are no exception,” said Pat Bugos, Senior Vice President of Consumer Electronics at Samsung Canada. “Through our partnership with Dustin Gallagher, we are reimagining the term ‘TV dinner’ and providing a viewing and culinary experience like no other.”

For the launch event, guests were invited to the Samsung Experience Store at the Toronto Eaton Centre for an intimate meal prepared by Dustin. During the experience, guests were able to watch every detail of the cooking process captured in 8K, on the full range of Neo QLED 8K and OLED screens, showcasing the TVs’ superb picture quality and witnessing Dustin’s talents in unparalleled detail.

Following the event, Samsung Canada caught up with Dustin to learn about his experience and what it’s like to participate in the launch of the Samsung 2023 Premium TV lineup.

Q: Why did you partner with Samsung for the launch of its new Premium TVs?

A: I was thrilled to be asked to partner with Samsung because I appreciate their commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology. As someone who is passionate about culinary creativity and exploring new ways to bring food to life, it was a natural fit. I also leapt at the opportunity to magnify my creations on Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K and OLED screens to really showcase the beauty and intricacy of each dish. Through this event, Samsung’s screens really allowed guests to fully appreciate the artistry and presentation of each dish before they even tasted them. Partnering with a brand that shares my vision for delivering the best possible experience was an easy decision and I’m looking forward to creating more groundbreaking moments with them.

Q: What do you think of the new Samsung Premium TVs?

A: As a chef, I’m always looking for ways to elevate the dining experience and make food more enjoyable and engaging for my guests. That’s why when I first glimpsed at Samsung’s new 2023 Premium TV lineup, I could immediately appreciate how they were elevating the entertainment experience and connecting with viewers on a new level. I was blown away by the stunning clarity, detail, and colour displayed on these TVs. It was hard to believe I was looking at a TV, especially with the Infinity Screen providing an almost invisible frame on the Neo QLED 8K models! The 8K and OLED technology brought my food to life in a way I never thought possible, allowing viewers to appreciate the smallest details and nuances of each dish. It’s really amazing to see how technology can enhance the way we live, including our relationship with food.

Q: As a chef who has also appeared on TV, why is technology important when showcasing food?

A: Throughout my career, the old saying “we eat with our eyes” has consistently rang true. When a dish is set before us, our mouths immediately start to water. The way food looks, can be almost as important as its taste. When I worked and appeared on various TV shows, I witnessed firsthand how important it was to make food look good and technology was often the way to do that. Audiences expect a high level of visual and audio engagement in everything they watch, even for something as straightforward as preparing a meal. With Samsung’s new Neo QLED 8K and OLED screens, we can show viewers the beauty and artistry of food without them having to step foot in a kitchen. With true-to-life picture quality and immersive audio, Samsung’s Premium TVs really capture the essence of the ingredients I use and the care that goes into creating these meals. I think guests at the launch event left with a better understanding of the culinary process and why I love it so much thanks to the cutting-edge technology used in this Premium TV line-up.

Q: Do you believe the dining experience can be elevated by technology? If so, how?

A: We already use technology in so much of what we do in the kitchen, from sous vide machines to electronic meat thermometers, so it just makes sense to use it to share the cooking process and the end result. With technology like what we have seen in Samsung Premium TVs, we can provide guests with a visual and auditory “taste” or preview of a dish they’re about to enjoy, increasing the excitement and anticipation for it. Think of it almost like a teaser to whet the diner’s appetite! The Neo QLED 8K and OLED range have the ability to really showcase the art and creativity of cooking that resonates with people and makes them excited about food.

Q: What inspired you to create these particular dishes for Samsung?

A: When I originally experienced Samsung’s Premium TVs, the first thing that struck me was how I was able to see even the tiniest details on the screen. That’s why I was drawn to ingredients like shaved truffles in our gnocchi dish. The mushroom’s tiny veins, intricate grooves, and paper thin edges were all brought to life in vivid 8K clarity on the screens. Even the fine particles of flour that dust the fluffy gnocchi, or the potatoes as they pass through the ricer, were captured in mind-blowing detail.

From a sound perspective, I wanted guests to be able to hear every moment of the meal’s preparation. With Dolby Atmos top channel speakers integrated into both the OLED and Neo QLED 8K TVs, they were able to hear everything from fruit being juiced to the tiniest droplets of oil dancing on a pan.

Finally, I knew the new Pantone-validated screens produce lifelike colours, from the brightest whites to darkest blacks, and colour is really important in food, so I knew I had to create something that would really pop on screen. With that in mind, I prepared a beautiful and bright raspberry sorbet sitting atop a bed of exotic fruits for dessert to highlight the OLED screen’s impressive Quantum Dot technology and colour range which allows these ingredients to really shine on the screen.

• Automated Connection: SmartThings automatically connects Samsung devices[1], like TVs or smartphones with other Samsung devices such as the washers, dryers and refrigerators, eliminating the need for manual setup.
• Hub Everywhere: The IoT hub is built into various Samsung products, including Samsung Smart TVs, making IoT setup a breeze.
• Expansive Compatibility: SmartThings goes beyond just the Samsung ecosystem, enabling compatible devices from any brand to work seamlessly together thanks to the Home Connectivity Alliance and the international IoT communication standard, MATTER[2].
• Security: With CC EAL 6+ certification, the new Samsung Knox Vault hardware chip encrypts all information from connected devices, ensuring a high level of security and offering peace of mind for users.

• Samsung’s third generations SolarCell Remote is more compact. As it uses Samsung’s proprietary technology, is also free of licensing requirements, allowing any manufacturer to join Samsung on the journey in making the world a more eco-conscious place.

With groundbreaking technologies like Auto HDR Remastering and 8K AI upscaling[6], the QN900C is impressing industry experts and reviewers alike

From true-to-life picture quality to immersive audio, Samsung has once again set the bar high with its Neo QLED 8K. The company will also be adding a 98-inch model to its Neo QLED 8K lineup, providing immaculate colour reproduction and lifelike level of detail on a scale that offers a cinematic-like experience. It will offer upgraded sound with Dolby Atmos and Q-Symphony 3.0 to further envelope viewers in every single scene.

In fact, Samsung OLED boasts true blacks and stunningly natural pictures with ideals contrast and colour expression. The S95C features Samsung’s signature Infinity One design, and the LaserSlim design of the S90C model adds a touch of sophisticated metal finish.

4 – Putting Gaming at the Forefront with Gaming TVs and Monitors

Premium screens, from Neo QLED 8K to OLED and beyond, not only bring video and photo content to life in ultra-high resolution but can also bring screen experiences like gaming to a whole new level. Gaming on a 98-inch Neo QLED 8K provides a superb level of immersive gameplay, from the large screen to high-performance graphic cards that support 8K resolution at a super fast pace.

For 2023, Samsung unveiled the Odyssey Neo G9, the world’s first dual UHD resolution monitor, and the Odyssey Ark, a 55-inch curved screen with a powerful sound system and multitasking capabilities. Samsung’s latest suite of Neo QLED 8K and 4K televisions provide consumers with premium options that suit their every need. Neo QLED picture quality is powered by Samsung’s advanced Neural Quantum Processor which supports the Quantum Mini LED-lit TV with 14-bit processing and AI upscaling, enabling features such as Shape Adaptive Light Control and Real Depth Enhancer Pro for a three-dimensional, lifelike picture.

Samsung’s 2023 Neo QLEDs also go beyond just a clear picture with a high-resolution panel and Samsung’s proprietary algorithm that power Samsung’s new Auto HDR Remastering. It uses AI deep learning technology to analyze and apply real-time High Dynamic Range (HDR) effects on Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content on a scene-by-scene basis, making SDR content brighter and livelier for absolute immersion.

Thanks to its modular nature, MICRO LED is not bound by shape, ratio and size, making it completely customizable to fit a consumer’s desired set up. In addition, it comes without bezels so regardless of configuration, the boundary between screen and real life is seamless.

And to provide consumers with even more viewing options, Samsung’s 2023 OLED lineup is now available in 55, 65 and the new ultra-large 77-inch models. Samsung’s latest OLED lineup comes with Quantum Dot technology that has been developed for Samsung’s Neo QLEDs as well as Neural Quantum Processors to retain OLED technology’s core strengths, while simultaneously improving brightness and colour representation.

As a result, each step is made more environmentally friendly, from making the manufacturing process more efficient to reducing packaging and changing how consumers use their products.

• Recycled Materials: For the 2023 lineup, Samsung will replace 20 percent of the bracket parts used for the SolarCell Remote with recycled ocean-bound plastic. In addition, the main parts of the power board use recycled aluminum cans and copper, replacing approximately 12 percent of the original materials used.
• Reducing Manufacturing Impact: Samsung designed a light-weight injection mold that requires fewer materials with a structure that can be repurposed, bringing down the overall energy consumption and raw materials needed for production.
• AI Energy Saving Mode: Through SmartThings, Samsung’s 2023 TVs support AI Energy Saving Mode, helping users save more energy in new ways. SmartThings Energy Service on TVs helps reduce carbon footprint of connected devices with simple change, such as automatic switches to energy saving mode on specific devices when not in use. And with 3D Map View, it will be easier to get a holistic overview of connected devices and put energy saving ideas into practice.
• Eco-Packaging: In 2023, Samsung Eco-Packaging will come with minimal print so less ink is consumed in its production and Samsung will use paper tape to reduce the use of plastic in its packaging. In addition, package sizes will be reduced to lower overall carbon emissions.

Multidimensional Soundscape and Audio Quality with AI

A premium screen experience is only to be complete with ultra-immersive audio. While Samsung TVs come with impressive built-in speakers, they also have powerful audio features and devices to enhance the viewing experience for something truly cinematic.

• AI Sound Remastering: In 2023, Samsung’s flagship TV and soundbar offer Sound Remastering which utilizes AI to remaster each sound object to ensure voices are clear, sounds are totally enveloping and that each sound experience is just the right volume.
• New Soundbars: In addition to the flagship soundbar, HW-Q990C, with 11.1.4 channel sound supporting Dolby Atmos, the ultra-slim HW-S800B offers powerful immersive sound in Dolby Atmos from a 3.1.2 channel device that is just 40mm tall and 38mm deep.
