Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a global partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios to mark the theatrical release of this summer’s epic new superhero adventure “Supergirl” on June 24. Through the partnership, Samsung is bringing fans closer to the film through Samsung Art Store.

“Samsung’s display business has long been shaped by the way people engage with film, sports, games and art,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Through this partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios, we are bringing together the exciting, intergalactic visual world of ‘Supergirl’ with Samsung’s bold display experiences at home.”

Samsung Art Store, the leading digital art platform on Samsung Art TVs, is giving users a new way to experience DC-inspired art at home with a limited-time “Supergirl” collection, available now through March 8, 2027. Featuring 15 exclusive digital artworks from DC Comics, the collection brings the character’s comic legacy to life across Samsung’s expanded 2026 Art TV lineup.[1]

As part of the film’s global press tour, the Supergirl Rest Stop pop-up at Phonica Records in London on June 20 featured Samsung 2026 TV and home audio lineups throughout film-inspired spaces, including Supergirl’s bedroom, Kara’s Ship, the Intergalactic Bus Stop and Space Bar.

“The compelling visual world that Craig Gillespie and his teams bring to life in ‘Supergirl’ is unlike anything we’ve seen in the DC Universe, and Samsung, through their innovative Art Store, brings consumers together with their singular technology to deliver that experience on their screens,” said Julie Moore, Head of Global Brand Partnerships at Warner Bros. Pictures. “Having partnered with them on ‘Superman,’ we were eager to work with them again to see how brilliant their ‘Supergirl’ experience would be, and they delivered.”

As the global TV market leader for 20 consecutive years,[2] Samsung continues to work across film, retail and home entertainment to connect audiences with the stories they follow on screen.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today shared its vision of connected care, a concept powered by Samsung’s open collaboration ecosystem, during a panel discussion at VivaTech 2026, Europe’s largest startup and tech exhibition, which is currently being held in Paris.

During the panel, Hon Pak, Head of the Digital Health Team for the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics, joined four other speakers: David Lee, Head of Samsung Next; Mike McSherry, CEO of Xealth; Alina Su, CEO of Generation Lab; and Michael Dubrovsky, CEO of SiPhox Health. Together, they presented a blueprint for the future of healthcare to an audience of approximately 1,000 global attendees.

Serving as the moderator, David Lee emphasized the critical role of partnership. “The future of health cannot be built by one company alone,” Lee said. “It must be forged through an open ecosystem of collaboration among diverse innovators.”

Building an Open Health Ecosystem

Samsung possesses a diverse portfolio of devices and platforms, spanning from semiconductors to mobile phones, wearables, home appliances and TVs. The company leverages its economies of scale to cultivate a robust, collaborative ecosystem with numerous partners across each of its business sectors.

By integrating Samsung devices with partner solutions within this open ecosystem, Xealth, Generation Lab and SiPhox Health are accelerating the realization of connected care. This healthcare vision aims to help users lead healthier, more vibrant lives through proactive wellness management powered by Samsung’s connected device ecosystem.

Hon Pak highlighted the scale of Samsung’s reach during the discussion. “Samsung Health supports more than 77 million monthly active users,[1] and the SmartThings platform connects 460 million users,”[2] Pak said.

Samsung holds a strong advantage as a trusted brand within the household, the central setting for daily life and wellness. “By connecting our device ecosystem around the home via SmartThings, we can innovate the health experience where it matters most, at a time when health is shifting to the home — a space in which prevention can happen at scale,” Pak added.

To support this transition, Samsung has integrated a wide variety of devices — including home appliances, TVs and compatible third-party devices — into its SmartThings platform. This enables a broad spectrum of services that range from personalized automation routines to family and pet care.

Accelerating Innovation Through Partnerships

The panelists identified Samsung’s established ecosystem and open approach to collaboration as key strengths.

Alina Su of Generation Lab emphasized the value of this partnership. “What has been most exciting is Samsung’s genuine openness and distribution. There’s real scale and technical capability — but there’s also a willingness to collaborate, to co-create, and to move quickly with partners,” Su said. “When you combine that with the devices people already use every day, you can bring innovation to people’s lives far faster than you could independently.”

Michael Dubrovsky of SiPhox Health also explained the benefits of the collaboration. “Samsung brings the device ecosystem already living in people’s homes and on their bodies,” Dubrovsky said. “SiPhox adds the diagnostic layer that has always been missing from that picture. Together, continuous device data and continuous biomarker data create a truly complete health picture that has never existed outside a clinical setting.”

Currently, Generation Lab provides a solution to help users easily check biological age and actively manage aging at home, while SiPhox Health offers a service that enables active health management through hospital-grade blood tests in each household.

Mike McSherry of Xealth shared a vision for providing a seamless, continuous healthcare solution by bridging the gap between clinical care in hospitals and daily wellness management through deep integration with Samsung.

Empowering Open Collaborations and Ensuring Robust Security

In addition to strategic partner collaborations, Samsung has built an open ecosystem for the wider developer and researcher community. Utilizing the Samsung Health Software Development Kit (SDK) Suite, they can easily create innovative wellness services leveraging advanced sensor technology and the health platform. This allows Samsung Health users to experience useful new features more quickly.

Protecting these experiences is Samsung Knox, a proprietary defense-grade security solution integrated across various consumer touchpoints, such as mobile devices, home appliances and TVs. With Knox, users can confidently manage their sensitive information within the Samsung ecosystem.

Looking at the next five years of healthcare in the context of the AI era, Pak concluded, “A daily companion that knows who I am, as well as what I need and when, will help me achieve my health goals seamlessly through lifestyle behaviors and connected innovative partner services.”

When COVID-19 turned the world upside down, educators faced unprecedented challenges. As classrooms went digital, widespread lockdowns accelerated the need for quality technology. Amid the “new normal,” some educators lacked suitable tools to effectively communicate with children and parents. Without dependable resources, a generation of young people faced a demanding, disconnected school year.

For the education application Planitou, the pandemic was a turning point. The Quebec-based service facilitates information sharing between parents and staff at preschools, daycares and summer camps using helpful and vibrant mobile tools like feedback diaries, real-time chat and agenda planning. The app, which keeps parents engaged and helps kids feel proud of accomplishments, already had more than 500 organizations communicating with the families of 60,000 children before the pandemic, and demand was increasing. Planitou needed to provide new and current customers with a scalable solution to operate during the pandemic that offered seamless app deployment and cloud-based controls, all in one place.

Planitou had a robust network of partner schools, daycares and camps, but needed to get the right technology in the hands of its stakeholders to manage through the evolving pandemic. It became clear that, while COVID-19 may have changed the classroom forever, community, communication, and support will always remain at the heart of a strong education environment. For Planitou, Samsung became the central partner in facilitating that environment. Paired with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 and Knox Configure, the company could foster a cutting-edge digital transformation of preschools, daycares and camps without requiring extensive IT knowledge from a growing base of clients.

Samsung provided powerful new tablets to Planitou clients to make it easier to communicate with parents and guardians with the app during the early transitional months of the pandemic. In a time when all Canadians felt disconnected from one another, and parents feared that children might regress during lockdown, Planitou and Samsung ensured that the community engagement fostered by the app would remain as strong as before.

Enriching education with ease and assurance, backed by powerful innovation

Knox Configure

With Samsung Knox Configure, Planitou ensured its Galaxy Tab A7 devices were set up and ready to be distributed to childcare services, schools and day camps with the required software. Part of the Knox MSP Program, Knox Configure is a tool that enables remote configuration of Samsung smartphones and tablets en masse to create custom experiences that address specific business needs. At a time when provincial lockdowns in Quebec could have made deployment challenging, Samsung Knox Configure made it easy to deliver important technology to teachers and educators.

“For our clients, the Knox Configure and Planitou pairing is a turnkey solution. It makes sure the devices they purchase for their employees come with the apps they require without needing IT expertise or a dedicated team of IT experts on hand,” said Jonathan Thivierge, CEO of Planitou.

Once out of the box, enrolled Samsung tablets automatically received an update via WiFi during initial device setup and were instantly equipped with the Planitou app along with other customized features. For procurement managers and administrators, this was especially convenient as both the hardware and the configuration services were all secured by one provider: Planitou.

Galaxy Tab A7

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 device also provides a variety of benefits. Its all-day battery[1] and lightweight design make it easier for teachers and care providers to get their work done without having to pause. The fast processor allows users to access the apps they need quickly, whether they are pulling up student records, taking notes or communicating with parents. Beyond speed and dependability, the Galaxy Tab A7 also offers a stunning screen experience to keep children engaged. For Planitou, the devices provided a vibrant canvas for the colourful experience of using its education app. Planitou allows children to feel good about their accomplishments in eye-catching ways while keeping parents informed, with an experience made even more appealing and dependable thanks to cutting-edge Samsung hardware.

“Samsung has been a great partner since the start and remains a dependable ally as we all continue navigating the ongoing changes of COVID,” added Thivierge. “Samsung has gone out of their way to help us and ensured that we could continue our operations with the added peace of mind that everything will run smoothly in an integrated way.”

Moving forward to a more powerful new normal

Planitou immediately experienced the benefits of working with Samsung as its hardware and deployment partner. The newfound efficiency presented opportunities to manage and streamline its processes. This promise of productivity and an efficient customer experience also helped Planitou grow its client base. Regular feedback from Planitou’s customers showed that administrative teams and end users were thrilled by having a reliable tablet that worked from day one and had all the necessary tools pre-installed.

“Education has long been a pillar of the Samsung mission. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we will remain a trusted partner for educators and leverage our mobile devices for a more powerful new normal,” says Paul Edwards, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Sales at Samsung Canada. “We are excited to work with Planitou to bring this to life and help facilitate information-sharing between parents and educators with Samsung Knox Configure and the Knox MSP Program.”

Going forward, Planitou and Samsung Canada are extending their partnership to offer continued support to camps, preschools and education centres. The partnership has also recently started offering the Galaxy Tab Active3, an LTE-activated tablet device that allows educators to stay connected even on the school bus or soccer field. It’s just one more way that Samsung is helping ensure community, communication and support remain at the heart of the education experience.
