At this year’s JUNO Awards ceremony, Revlon set out to create an onsite activation that would not only stand out but draw attendees in and leave a lasting impression. In a fast-paced, high-energy event environment, capturing attention requires more than traditional visuals, it demands innovation that stops people in their tracks.

To bring this vision to life, Revlon partnered with Samsung and experiential partner ICON to integrate Samsung’s 85” Spatial Display into its activation space. The result was a visually striking, immersive experience that leveraged cutting-edge display technology to elevate engagement on the ground and beyond.

“At an event like The JUNOS, you’re competing with constant movement and stimulation,” said Chandra Colbear, Sr Director of Marketing, Revlon. “We needed something that would immediately capture attention and pull people into our space, and the Samsung Spatial display gave us exactly that edge.”

The opportunity to incorporate Spatial technology was first identified by ICON, a long-standing partner to Revlon across both its Visual (static graphics) and Media (digital signage) divisions. As part of its ongoing commitment to bringing new ideas and technologies to clients, ICON regularly attends major global trade shows focused on display innovation. “The Samsung Spatial Display immediately stood out from anything else we were seeing in the market,” said PJ Lee, Vice-President, Business Solutions, ICON Media. “We knew right away that it was something different – and that our clients would see it that way too.”

ICON introduced the concept to Revlon through an initial presentation, which generated strong interest. That interest quickly translated into action when the Revlon team experienced the technology firsthand at the Samsung Retail Summit.

“Seeing it in person changed everything,” PJ Lee, ICON Media added. “You could tell the team already had ideas forming around how to use it.”

From there, the teams worked closely together to bring the concept to life, identifying the 2026 JUNO Awards ceremony as the ideal moment to deploy the technology in a high-impact, consumer-facing environment, positioning Revlon among one of the first brands to leverage Samsung’s Spatial display in this way.

“The moment we saw the display in action, it changed how we thought about the experience,” said PJ Lee, ICON Media. “It wasn’t just about showing content, it was about creating depth, movement and a visual moment that people are naturally drawn toward.”

At the centre of the activation was Samsung’s 85” Spatial display, a next-generation signage solution designed to deliver lifelike 3D visuals without the need for glasses. By creating a sense of depth and realism, the display enabled Revlon to present its content in a way that felt dynamic, immersive and highly engaging.

“Samsung’s Spatial technology is redefining how brands connect with audiences in physical spaces,” said James Arndt, Head of Display Solutions, Samsung Electronics Canada. “By delivering a glasses-free 3D experience, we’re helping brands like Revlon create more impactful, memorable interactions that stand out in even the busiest environments.”

At the 2026 JUNO Awards ceremony, the effect was immediate. The Spatial display became a focal point of the activation, drawing attendees in with visuals that appeared to extend beyond the screen. What might typically be a passive viewing experience instead sparked curiosity and interaction, encouraging guests to stop, engage and explore the space.

The activation was further amplified through influencer engagement and social content, extending its reach beyond the physical environment and into digital channels.

“We saw people stopping, looking twice, and then coming into the space to understand what they were seeing,” added Chandra Colbear, Sr Director of Marketing, Revlon. “Creating a positive moment to interact with our products in a new way is exactly what we were aiming for.”

The success of the activation was driven by close collaboration between all three partners. Revlon brought a clear vision for brand impact, Samsung delivered breakthrough display innovation, and ICON helped bridge strategy and execution – ensuring the technology was seamlessly integrated into the overall experience.

Revlon’s JUNO Awards ceremony activation highlights how innovative display technologies like Samsung’s Spatial display can transform brand experiences – helping organizations cut through the noise, drive engagement and create memorable moments that resonate with audiences long after the event ends.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the global launch of the 32-inch Samsung Spatial Signage (SMHX model), adding a compact format to its glasses-free 3D commercial display lineup. Designed for narrow shelves and counters, it gives brands a flexible way to present product-focused content in full 3D rotation.[1]

“The 32-inch Spatial Signage makes immersive 3D accessible across a much wider range of commercial environments,” said Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Combined with our growing portfolio of displays and solutions, the new model reflects Samsung’s commitment to building a connected commercial display ecosystem that customers can rely on, wherever they operate.”

Smaller Format, Bigger Impact at Shelf Level

The 32-inch model follows the global rollout of the 85-inch Spatial Signage earlier this year. While the 85-inch model is designed for large, high-impact retail installations with life-size product visuals, the 32-inch model brings the same glasses-free 3D experience to shelves, counters and other compact spaces.

Suited for a wide range of environments, including retail, public spaces, entertainment venues, education and hospitality, the smaller format brings immersive 3D content to places where close-up visibility matters most. The 32-inch Spatial Signage helps highlight featured products, promotional content, exhibit information, campus messaging and other high-impact content.

Spatial Signage uses Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology, which applies binocular parallax to deliver different images to each eye, creating cinematic depth without 3D glasses. It retains full clarity while showing all sides of a product in realistic 360-degree rotation.

Weighing just 8.5 kg with a sleek 49.4 mm slim profile, the 32-inch model features FHD resolution (1,080 x 1,920) in a 9:16 portrait format. Unlike bulky box-type 3D displays, it is lightweight, easy to install and compatible with industry-standard VESA wall mounts for wall or stand placement, much like conventional signage.[2]

Spatial Signage has earned industry recognition, including a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Enterprise Tech category and a Silver award at the Edison Awards. Going forward, Samsung plans to further expand the Spatial Signage lineup with new sizes, including a 55-inch model[3].

More Control and Creativity With Samsung VXT

Samsung also announced new updates to Samsung VXT, its cloud-based digital signage platform.[4] The update brings new capabilities to Samsung’s full digital signage portfolio,[5] including Spatial Signage. Businesses can use VXT to manage connected screens across multiple locations, schedule and automate content delivery and create signage-ready video content directly within the platform.

To further enhance remote management, Samsung has added scheduling capabilities to screen presets, allowing screen settings such as brightness, volume and on/off timers to be applied across connected displays at a designated time or according to a set schedule, including outside operating hours. VXT also includes Smart Download, which helps minimize network traffic load by enabling content to be downloaded by some screens and shared with other connected screens on the same network.[6]

Released earlier this month, AI Studio app enables users to create signage-ready videos from a single product image and a text prompt, with an option to upscale output to 4K UHD resolution at 60 frames per second. The app also includes an option to optimize content for Spatial Signage to enhance the overall 3D viewing experience.

Samsung VXT has also expanded its content management capabilities with the following features:

Event now includes automated content transitions, adding new event types, like weather conditions. This allows businesses to automatically display content based on real-world weather[7] For example, signage can promote rain gear in wet weather and switch to sun hats in sunny conditions, allowing businesses to manage content more dynamically across different scenarios.

Multiple Takeover enables synchronized content transitions across all linked screens based on a preset schedule and playback cycle, allowing centralized control over large-scale content campaigns.

Streaming Widget enables real-time streaming of live broadcast content directly on connected displays, with support for closed caption settings.

Samsung’s continued focus on advancing both display hardware and platform capabilities has contributed to its position as the world’s No. 1 commercial display provider for 17 consecutive years.[8] For more information, visit the Samsung Canada website.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that it has maintained its No. 1 position in the global commercial display market in 2025, marking 17 consecutive years at the top with a 35.2% share by unit sales, according to research firm Omdia.[1]

Since achieving the global No. 1 position in the commercial display market for the first time in 2009, Samsung has continuously strengthened its leadership in the B2B display sector. In 2025, the company reached an all‑time high in annual sales when it shipped more than 2.5 million units.

This sustained performance reflects Samsung’s focus on next-generation signage that combines advanced display hardware with cloud and AI-based solutions in retail, corporate, education and hospitality environments.

Samsung’s B2B display portfolio is built on its commitment to product innovation. Newly launched this year, Samsung Spatial Signage displays striking 3D content in a slim 52mm profile. It has already been recognized with a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Enterprise Technology category and an iF Design Award 2026. Going forward, Samsung plans to expand the lineup to include additional sizes.

Samsung’s Colour E‑Paper lineup delivers ultra‑low power signage as an alternative to traditional paper posters. The 13-inch Colour E-Paper is the world’s first commercial display to apply a bio-resin derived from phytoplankton in its housing. The display’s housing consists of 45% recycled plastic and 10% phytoplankton-based bio-resin, allowing the manufacturing process to reduce carbon emissions by more than 40% compared to conventional petroleum-based plastic materials.[2] Samsung plans to expand the use of this material across its E‑Paper lineup.

The portfolio also features extra-large format displays designed for high-impact business environments—ranging from the 105-inch QPDX-5K, 115-inch QHFX models to the upcoming 130-inch Micro RGB signage (QPHX model) which will be released in the near future.

Alongside hardware, Samsung expects to maintain its industry‑leading market position by connecting devices and solutions to provide customers with consistent, integrated experiences. This includes the Samsung VXT platform for remote device management and content operations as well as the new AI Studio app, which enables easy, signage‑ready video creation from a single product image.[3]

“Seventeen years at the top of the commercial display market is the result of listening to our B2B customers and evolving with them,” said Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “As businesses change, they need technology that is reliable, simple to manage and ready for what’s next. We’ll continue investing in displays and solutions that help our partners work more efficiently and create better experiences in any space.”
