Das Samsung Galaxy S8 und S8+ sind ab dem 28. April 2017 zum Preis von 799 bzw. 899 Euro im Handel erhältlich. Während äußerlich das Infinity Display und das schlanke Design begeistern, sorgen im Inneren eine 12-Megapixel-Kamera mit Dual Pixel-Technologie, der branchenweit erste 10nm-Prozessor und ein Iris-Scanner für gelungene Fotos, hohe Leistung sowie Datensicherheit. Eine intuitive Bedienung ermöglicht der intelligente Assistent Bixby³. Dieser lernt anhand des Nutzerverhaltens dazu und kann orts- und zeitbasiert personalisierte Informationen anzeigen.

Das Infinity Display: mehr sehen, mehr erleben

Eintauchen wie in einen Infinity Pool: Erhältlich in 5,8 Zoll¹ (Galaxy S8) oder 6,2 Zoll² (Galaxy S8+), bietet das Infinity Display ein zutiefst beeindruckendes Smartphone-Erlebnis. Möglich wird dies durch das zur Seite hin rahmenlose Design und die glatte Oberfläche ohne Tasten und Kanten. Das Quad HD+ Super AMOLED-Display mit dem Seitenverhältnis von 18,5:9 nimmt fast die gesamte Vorderseite ein und bietet hervorragende Bedingungen, für Videos, Social Media und Apps. Im schlanken Design ist das Display nicht nur ein Hingucker, es kann auch einhändig bedient werden und bietet Multitasking: Mithilfe der Multi Window-Funktion können Nutzer beispielsweise Videos anschauen und zeitgleich einem Freund Textnachrichten schicken.

Erstklassige Galaxy-Ausstattung

Das Galaxy S8 und S8+ sind mit einer hochentwickelten 12 Megapixel Hauptkamera und F1.7-Offenblende ausgestattet. Dual Pixel-Sensortechnologie, die weite Blendenöffnung und der schnelle Autofokus ermöglichen scharfe und gute Fotos auch bei weniger gutem Licht. Die Multiframe-Verarbeitung ermöglichst gestochen scharfe Bilder, während einfache Wischfunktionen es ganz leicht machen, mit nur einer Hand zu zoomen. Die Frontkamera bietet eine Auflösung von 8 Megapixeln, eine F1.7-Blende und Autofokus mit Gesichtserkennung, sodass auch Selfies klar und detailliert gelingen.

Der branchenweit erste 10nm-Prozessor sorgt bei Galaxy S8 und S8+ für ein zügiges Arbeitstempo und beeindruckende Entertainment-Eigenschaften. Die Mobile High Dynamic Range (HDR) Premiumgeräte ermöglichen eine HDR-Videowiedergabe mit lebendigen Farben und Kontrasten⁴. Dank leistungsstarker Grafiktechnologie, Vulkan API und vorinstallierten Game Tools lassen die neuen Samsung Flaggschiffe auch Gamer-Herzen höherschlagen. Um private Fotos oder Nachrichten sicher zu verwahren, sind neben einem Fingerabdruck-Scanner auch Iris- und Gesichtserkennungstechnologien integriert. Diese ermöglichen eine biometrische Nutzeridentifizierung, sodass nur der Besitzer des Smartphones das Display entsperren kann.

Intelligenter Assistent Bixby³

Der intelligente und intuitive Assistent Bixby macht das Smartphone zu einem noch wertvolleren Helfer. Bixby unterstützt bei der Erledigung von Aufgaben, zeigt Details zu den Dingen, die Sie sich gerade anschauen, lernt aus Ihren Nutzungsgewohnheiten und erinnert an Aufgaben. Die Hauptfunktionen von Bixby, Bixby Vision, Hello Bixby und der Reminder, werden mit dem globalen Marktstart des Samsung Galaxy S8 verfügbar sein. Bixby Vision analysiert das Bild der Kamera, die aktuelle Galerie-Ansicht oder ein Bild aus dem Internet, um Nutzer mit einer Reihe nützlicher Informationen zu versorgen. Hello Bixby ist eine intuitive Bedienoberfläche, die Zusammenhänge erkennt, um auf Basis von Uhrzeit, Ort und Anlass ein personalisiertes Nutzererlebnis zu erschaffen. Mit der neuen Bixby-Taste gelangen Nutzer mit nur einem Tastendruck direkt zu Hello Bixby. Über Hello Bixby ist es möglich den Wecker zu stellen, Nachrichten zu lesen oder nach Restaurants zu suchen. Häufig genutzte Apps und Funktionen können im oberen Bereich angeheftet werden. „Bixby Reminder“ erinnert den Nutzer an Termine oder To-dos. Der volle Funktionsumfang von Bixby Voice steht aktuell noch nicht in Deutschland zur Verfügung. Samsung arbeitet daran, künftig weitere Sprachen und Regionen zu unterstützen.

Samsung Galaxy Zubehör

Im Lieferumfang des Galaxy S8 und S8+ ist ein hochwertiges, in Zusammenarbeit mit AKG entwickeltes In-Ear-Headset enthalten, das starken Sound und hohe Audioqualität liefert. Dank seiner Hybridkanalpassform bietet das In-Ear-Headset eine effektive Geräuschunterdrückung.

Beide Modelle sind wasser- und staubgeschützt nach IP68⁵ und unterstützten microSD-Karten mit bis zu 256 GB sowie die schnelle⁶ oder drahtlose Ladefunktion⁷.

The Galaxy S8 will go on sale in Europe starting on April 28. It will be offered in a rich colour palette including Midnight Black, Orchid Gray and Arctic Silver. Pre-order for the Galaxy S8 starts immediately and customers who pre-order by 19th April will be able to benefit from delivery up to eight days before commercial availability, subject to stock availability.
