Das Galaxy S10 glänzt mit dem neuen 19:9 Infinity-O Display von Samsung. Es maximiert die Bildschirmfläche und bietet dadurch mehr Platz für Inhalte und Anwendungen, die parallel verwaltet werden können. Der Rahmen wurde rundum reduziert, um mehr Platz für multimediale Inhalte zu schaffen. Im Vergleich zum Galaxy S9 wurde der obere Rahmen sogar um mehr als das Dreifache reduziert.¹

Um noch mehr Fläche für Inhalte bereitzustellen, vereint das In-Display-Kameradesign eine Reihe von Sensoren und Kameratechnologien auf kleinstem Raum. Nach einem Test durch Experten von DisplayMate erhielt das Dynamic AMOLED Display einen Wert von 0,4 „Just Noticeable Color Difference“ (JNCD). Das übertrifft nochmals die Bewertung des Galaxy S9 (0,7 JNCD-Bewertung) und bestätigt die äußerst genaue Farbwiedergabe des Galaxy S10.

Das neueste Smartphone-Display von Samsung unterstützt als weltweit erstes Smartphone HDR10+, den offenen Standard für High Dynamic Range (HDR) Videos. Durch HDR10+ werden kompatible Inhalte genau so dargestellt, wie es die Schöpfer beabsichtigen. Beim Streamen eines Films beispielsweise ist die Farbdarstellung exakter und garantiert ein noch intensiveres Seherlebnis.

Das Display verwendet die Dynamic Tone Mapping-Technologie, um Farben von Szene zu Szene zu optimieren und einen besseren Kontrast zwischen hellen und dunklen Szenen zu erzeugen. Es optimiert die Helligkeitsstufen und ermöglicht eine gestochen scharfe Darstellung auch von kleinsten Details. Zusätzlich stellt HDR10+ ein realistisches, intensives Schwarz³ dar – für bessere Schattendetails, selbst bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen.

Ein biometrischer Tresor

Unter dem Dynamic AMOLED-Display befindet sich der neue, im Display integrierte Ultraschall-Fingerabdruckscanner⁴, der das Gerät vor unerwünschten Zugriffen schützt.

Der Scanner sendet Ultraschallwellen aus, die winzige Luftspalte zwischen dem Finger und dem Bildschirm und letztendlich einen einzigartigen Fingerabdruck erfassen. Diese Wellendaten werden an den Scanner zurückgesendet, der Hauptchipsatz des Telefons analysiert, ob es eine Übereinstimmung gibt.

Die 3D Anti-Spoofing-Technologie basiert auf einem Algorithmus mit maschinellem Lernen, der den Fingerabdruck analysiert, um ein hohes Maß an Sicherheit zu gewährleisten. Das Smartphone wird erst entsperrt, wenn es den physischen Fingerabdruck registriert hat – und nicht nur ein Bild des Abdrucks. Die Sicherheit des Systems wird durch die weltweit erste FIDO Alliance Biometric Component Zertifizierung unterstützt und getestet. So gelingt die Funktion auch unter schwierigen Bedingungen – zum Beispiel Minusgraden oder starkem Sonneneinfall – reibungslos.
