<h3><span style="color: #000080"><strong>Intelligent Recommendations for Informed Cooking</strong></span></h3>
<p>For this year’s IFA Club des Chefs cooking show, Chef Michel Roux Jr. was in charge of preparing the appetizer and dessert while Chef Michel Troisgros took responsibility for the entrée.</p>
<p>Chef Roux Jr. used the Quick View Inside feature of the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator to quickly and easily check what ingredients were available inside the refrigerator. Quick View Inside is an upgraded feature of the latest version of the Family Hub that lets users use the refrigerator’s View Inside feature no matter what page or app they have been visiting. Chef Roux Jr. demonstrated to the audience that Quick View Inside was accessible simply by dragging down the upper scroll bar of the refrigerator’s screen with three fingers, an intuitive upgraded user interface feature.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080"><strong>Minimized Cooking Time, Maximum Efficiency</strong></span></h3>
<p>Moving on to the preparation of his two dishes, Chef Roux Jr. took advantage of the flexibility offered by Samsung’s Dual Cook Flex Oven as he was able to simultaneously bake choux buns for the dessert whilst also cooking the appetizer, a pissaladière. Given that choux buns require a hotter cooking temperature than a pissaladière, Chef Roux Jr. was able to cook the two dishes separately in the upper and lower compartments of the Dual Cook Flex Oven, meaning they could cook independently yet at the same time at different temperatures. Chef Roux Jr. was also able to check on each dish in its separate compartment without disturbing the other, thanks to the Dual Cook Flex Oven’s versatile Flexible Door.</p>

<p>When it came to Chef Troisgros’ turn to prepare his entrée, Chef Troisgros was able to minimize food preparation time thanks to the Dual Flex Zone Plus’s cooktop, which meant that he could cook potatoes two different ways simultaneously – one in a pot and one in a wide steamer. The audience was impressed with how, thanks to its expansive, open dual-zone surface, the Dual Flex Zone Plus offers chefs maximum efficiency and flexibility when cooking with different sizes of cookware at the same time.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #000080"><strong>AI-Powered Kitchen Assistance with Bot Chef</strong></span></h3>
<p>For the preparation of the sauce of the entrée, the Club des Chef’s latest sous-chef made its appearance — Samsung Bot Chef. The audience was impressed to see how Samsung’s AI-powered kitchen assistant robot — also called a cobot — was able to independently work on a variety of tasks, including seasoning the sauce with salt, stirring the contents of the pan and even taking hold of a utensil and offering up a spoonful of the sauce for the Chefs to taste.</p>

<p>The audience was eager to hear from the event MC and Chefs how Bot Chef uses an extensible AI-powered system that users can command, with new skills available via download from Samsung’s robot skills ecosystem. Bot Chef can be instructed either by simple voice command or through app-based controls, and is able to assist with tasks throughout the cooking process, from preparation – cutting or stirring food – to plating and seasoning. <span style="text-decoration: line-through"></span></p>
<p>During Bot Chef’s presentation, the Club des Chefs cooking show audience witnessed not only how this innovative artificial intelligence-assisted technology helped with cooking, but also how Samsung’s mobile ecosystem capabilities create a seamless connectivity throughout the cooking process across Samsung’s home appliance devices.</p>

<p><strong>Q: What made you decide to join the Club des Chefs?</strong></p>

<p><strong>Chef Boulud: </strong>The Club des Chefs is a unique collection of global talent led by one of the most creative, respected and admired chefs, Michel Troisgros. It is where every chef has utmost respect for our profession, and is very open-minded toward the employment of state-of-the-art equipment at home.</p>
<p>It’s very rewarding to be part of this evolution in home cooking, where technology meets tradition and creativity meets practicality, to design for the next generation of home cooks. ‘Club des Chefs’ is basically a seal of approval. If great chefs enjoy cooking with Samsung, everyone at home will, too!</p>
<p><strong>Q: What is your favorite recipe you’ve submitted for the Club des Chefs?</strong></p>

<p><strong>Chef Kostow:</strong> The Pork Belly Stew and Potato Flatbread is a great recipe for the cold weather months, and when entertaining a large group at home. This dish is very comforting and familial, and uses simple and flavorful ingredients.</p>

<p><strong>Chef Boulud: </strong>That would be the Poulet Grand-Mère. I personally love chicken in all forms of preparation, but this is a simple yet tasty recipe which can be done as a one-pot meal, where you need the stovetop and the oven to accomplish it.</p>
<p>It captures all the roasted flavors together, and is an easy recipe to do. It is very French to me, but it can also be prepared anywhere in the world. It’s the kind of dish I cook on Sundays for our family meal at home.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Q: What is your favorite Samsung home appliance, and what are some features you’d like to see included in upcoming products?</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Chef Kostow</strong>: I love the WaterWall Dishwasher; it’s such a smart technology. Also, the Family Hub refrigerator is extremely innovative. As a husband and father of two young daughters, it’s an interactive way to make grocery shopping and meal planning for the entire family more productive.</p>
<p><strong>Chef Boulud</strong>: Every appliance is very interesting, as each has a unique function which creates a very comfortable, practical and well-controlled environment for your kitchen.</p>
<p>The fridge, with its many functions and storage units for different foods and beverages; the induction cooktop, where you have the Virtual Flame around the pots which gives you a visual sense of the heat; the oven, which offers dual-cooking functionality, meaning you can bake two dishes at the same time. There’s a lot of logic behind their products.</p>

<p>Samsung’s “Chef’s Table with Family Hub” event invited IFA 2016 attendees to enjoy a world-class lunch, courtesy of the Samsung and the new Family Hub refrigerator.</p>
<p>The gastronomic event transformed the heart of Samsung’s expansive booth into an intimate kitchen where three of the Club’s Michelin-starred members whipped up top-notch cuisine and demonstrated how, with the Family Hub refrigerator, you can too.</p>
<p>Launched in 2013, the Club des Chefs invites culinary masters from around the world to share their cooking expertise and contribute to the designs of innovative appliances like the touchscreen refrigerator. Over the course of the September 2 showcase, guests were shown how Family Hub’s intuitive interface and comprehensive suite of apps are redesigning the kitchen experience by reimagining the role of the our most important appliance.</p>
<p>Guests to the cooking show were greeted by their host, Byungsam Suh, Samsung Electronics Head of Digital Appliances Business. Mr. Suh began by spotlighting Family Hub’s unique ability to streamline food management, kitchen entertainment and family communication, before yielding the stage to the culinary masters.</p>
<p>After their introductions, Chefs Michel Troisgros, Elena Arzak and Michel Roux set to work. As they waited, guests were given an overview of some of Family Hub’s key functions, including inner-view cameras, digital food labeling, music playback, TV mirroring, photo and memo collaboration and recipe apps.</p>
<p>One of most exciting features was the new Club des Chefs app, which offers cooking insight, recipes and hands-on appliance demos straight from the chefs. Helping people feel more at home in their kitchen, and providing them with the tools to prepare delicious meals together.</p>
<p>The Club des Chefs’ newest member, Chef Michel Roux, found that aspect of the Family Hub particularly appealing. “Family dining is so important,” said Roux. “To put aside some time to be with your family, to cook and to eat together.</p>
<p>“I have always cooked with my parents, and I’ve cooked with my child as well, so for me it’s natural. But I think we have to get this message across that it can be so much fun. It’s a way of bonding and socializing, and we learn a lot more from each other.”</p>
<p>Each chef’s recipe—Chef Roux’s grilled tiger prawn appetizer, Chef Troisgros’ bifteck with spices main course and Chef Arzak’s chocolate with crispy milk dessert—is part of the Club des Chefs app. And, as Chef Roux pointed out, it’s an ever-expanding selection.</p>

<p>The opening line of Banana Yoshimoto’s emotional novel Kitchen says it best: “The place I like best in this world is the kitchen.” Indeed, the average family visits the kitchen some 40 times a day, so it’s no exaggeration that the kitchen is the hub of the family.</p>
<p>As the largest digital appliance in any home—and one that is turned on 24/7—the refrigerator is hard to ignore. It’s central to our lives. It keeps our food fresh, and it’s a hub for families, who often use it to post things like daily reminders, children’s artwork and family photos. That was the thinking behind Samsung’s new Family Hub refrigerator. Our designers were looking for something completely different. They wanted to give our refrigerator a whole new face and enhance the connection between families, their food, and each other.</p>
<p>That’s how the Family Hub’s Design Team came up with the idea of attaching a 21.5-inch interactive touchscreen directly onto the door. But that was the easy part. They then had to figure out what the interface should look like, how to implement it, and how it would work with all our devices. Before turning a great idea into action, the team engaged in extensive research and consumer observation to come up with the most ergonomic options. Through these studies, four major consumer insights were realized.</p>

<p>1. Communication with other devices must be easy<br />
2. Interactive touchscreen has to be intuitive<br />
3. Screen must have “glanceability”<br />
4. Interface has to be easy for all ages</p>

<p>With these valuable insights in mind, the team worked to create a refrigerator that would form three specific connections: between the consumer and their food regardless of location, between recipes and enthusiastic chefs at home, and, most of all, between families with each other.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #000080">1. Connecting In and Out</span></h3>
<p><em> Scenario: Grocery Shopping</em><br />
<em> I’ve written this long list of things I need, but I still can’t remember if I need eggs.</em></p>
<p>Three internal cameras take a picture inside the refrigerator every time the doors close. You can use your smartphone to access the photos anytime, anywhere. With the View Inside feature, you don’t have to worry about doubling up on groceries. You can even keep track of expiration dates to conveniently manage your food. The touch and drag feature and the memo feature that lets you leave notes next to the food items are highly intuitive and easy to understand. And if you are running out of something, you can add that food items to the My Shopping List.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080">2. Connecting Recipes and Chefs at Home</span></h3>

<em> I really want to show off my cooking skills with something different, but I never have enough time.</em></p>
<p>Club des Chefs contains recipes from world-renowned chefs and restaurants. In addition to assisting consumers in finding recipes, Family Hub also works as a platform that connects families to their most commonly used food services. When necessary, it can read the recipes aloud with Text to Speech (TTS) and can understand verbal instructions such as next or previous, so consumers don’t have to flip through their smartphones or physically touch the Family Hub screen when they’re elbow deep in pancake batter. Recipes are listed in order of difficulty and can be selected by inputting the ingredients available in the refrigerator. Once you select a recipe, a link allows you to directly purchase the ingredients you don’t currently have. Family Hub will soon connect to a variety of shopping portals: Emart in Korea and Groceries, developed by Samsung and Mastercard, in the United States.</p>

<em>I really want to spend more time with my family. But when I’m heading to work, my son is coming home. And my wife works at completely different hours.</em></p>

<p>Family Hub’s digital family bulletin board brings families together with seamless communication. Family Hub can even help families get on the same page. They can share notes with a digital app called Sticki, and put photos directly onto Family Hub’s interactive touchscreen so conversations can be even more meaningful. It’s just like an old fashioned bulletin board, except so much better. You can see your Sticki board, and even change it, from wherever you are via a mobile device. Now the kitchen really is a hub.</p>

<p>Family Hub doesn’t just transform the kitchen, it can re-create traditional family dynamics. The touchscreen’s UX design improves consumers’ lives by connecting them to their refrigerators from outside, to thousands of recipes and recommendations from famous chefs, and to their families. In the age of the Internet of Things (IoT), Family Hub is the centerpiece of any Smart Home.</p>

<p>Lucky foodies in New York City enjoyed a uniquely immersive dining experience on Wednesday, as Samsung Electronics brought renowned chef Daniel Boulud to the Samsung 837 venue for a fun and engaging cooking demonstration—in virtual <em>and</em> actual reality.</p>
<p>After an introduction by popular emcee Billy Harris, guests experienced an engrossing presentation by Boulud about all the elements of a culinary journey, from inspiration to preparing the food in his kitchen to the table, using the Samsung Gear VR headsets.</p>

<p>Boulud—who is one of the culinary visionaries in Samsung’s Club des Chefs—presented a rich food story, made even more riveting and enveloping because of the Gear VR headsets.</p>
<p>Samsung started Club des Chefs in 2013, bringing together renowned chefs from around the world to better understand what is needed for great cooking and to create the Chef Collection line of leading kitchen appliances.</p>
<p>Following the VR video, Boulud appeared before the audience in person, to lead a demonstration on how to prepare Boulud’s special interpretation of the classic croque-monsieur, with black truffle—all the while using the Samsung Chef Collection range of appliances.</p>

<p>Of course, nothing is as immersive as the actual eating, and guests all got to enjoy a delicious sampling of foie gras and chicken mosaic, long island fluke, lobster “en Gelée” and white asparagus—and, of course, croque-monsieur.</p>

<p>Samsung Electronics announced that the Michelin-starred, UK’s most admired chef, Michel Roux Jr. is to become the eighth member of its esteemed Club des Chefs.</p>
<p>Launched in June 2013, the Samsung Club des Chefs invites visionary chefs from around the world to contribute their unique insight and fresh ideas for creating next generation kitchen products. This spring, the Club des Chefs will be launching an app for the newly announced Family Hub connected fridge, featuring recipes, cooking advice and hands-on appliance demos from the chefs themselves.</p>
<p>Michel Roux Jr. of Le Gavroche and Roux is also known in the UK as a popular TV personality, appearing as a judge and presenter on the BBC’s primetime programme, Masterchef.  His entry into the Samsung Club des Chefs sees him join fellow food visionaries including Elena Arzak, fourth generation owner of the three Michelin-star Arzak; Daniel Boulud, one of the most revered French chefs in New York; and French three-star Michelin chef, Michel Troisgros.</p>

<p>Today, IFA officially opened its doors to the public and attendees were quick to flock to the Samsung exhibit, housed in CityCube Berlin. Making their way between demonstration areas, visitors checked out the latest products and services from Samsung, but perhaps no other area attracted more attention than the Club des Chefs kitchen. Here, attendees were invited to embark on a visual and gustatory culinary journey that would not soon be forgotten.</p>

<p>President and CEO of Samsung Electronics BK Yoon greeted guests as he entered the cooking space bedecked with a number of the dazzling appliances of the Chef Collection series. Designed by Samsung engineers in coordination with the culinary masters of the Samsung Club des Chefs, selected members of the world’s top culinary artists, the appliances have garnered a great deal of attention since their release at IFA last year.</p>
<p>Yoon noted that what attendees would soon witness would be a very special moment that would allow them to experience how technology can enrich one’s passion for cooking, stating, “Our passion continues to grow with all these possibilities and Samsung will always try hard to offer you better experiences.”</p>

<p>With that, guests were asked to put on the Gear VR headsets that had been distributed and after doing so, were immediately transported to a farm in France, face-to-face with world-renowned chef and President of Samsung Club des Chefs Michel Troisgros. Troisgros then gave viewers an exclusive look at a day in the life of a Michelin starred chef, from choosing the freshest ingredients to incorporating them into fantastic culinary delights with the help of a talented kitchen staff and the Chef Collection appliances.</p>

<p>Soon enough, the virtual journey ended and after attendees removed their headsets, they were greeted by Troisgros himself, who was eager to share with visitors a taste of his acclaimed food by preparing a signature dish of zucchini stuffed with grapefruit and apple-basil aspic. Guests sipped champagne as Troisgros walked them through his recipe, noting how the Chef Collection refrigerator’s Precise Chef Cooling feature was essential in helping him get the desired results while preserving the original flavors of the ingredients.</p>
<p>World-class chefs Elena Arzak and Modest Amaro joined Troisgros, also sharing their own favorite recipes and offering a variety of cooking tips from how to incorporate certain spices into a dish to the importance of presentation.</p>
<p>Guests looked on, eager to sample the mouthwatering dishes that came to life in front of them and soon enough, they were given a chance to do so. BK Yoon, too, was just as excited about the tasting as the rest of the attendees and had only words of praise when he sampled the three chefs’ dishes. As the showcase winded down, guests were able to get a closer look at the innovative Chef Collection kitchen appliances on display.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080">The Dish</span></h3>
<p>In the following video, chef Trochon shares his classic French dish, spiced black cod with chorizo crust and bell pepper coulis. A French preparation, coulis consists of pureed or strained vegetables or fruits thickened into a sauce. Vegetable coulis are frequently served with meat and fruit coulis are typically served with desserts.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080">The Recipe</span></h3>
<p>First, to prepare the black cod, slice the chorizo into very thin slices. Place on each block of cod. Wrap in plastic wrap and set aside while it forms its shape.</p>
<p>Next, cook bell peppers in the Chef Collection FlexDuo<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> oven at 210C or 410F for 15 minutes. Peel, remove seeds, and blend each pepper separately. Pass each pepper puree through a sieve.</p>
<p>Unwrap cod and place in a non-stick pan in the oven, baking for 5 minutes at 180C or 356F.</p>
<p>To prepare the shellfish, cook in a pot with a glass of white wine. Add a spoonful of finely chopped onions and parsley. Season with pepper and cook for 10 minutes. Drain the juice into a jar and add fresh cream and butter. Foam into a creamy shellfish juice.</p>
<p>Plating: Draw a line of each pepper coulis on the plate. Place the cod, cooked white beans and shellfish on the plate. Add a small dash of olive oil. Surround the cod with the shellfish juice. Finally, decorate with paprika and herbs.</p>

<p>Chef Trochon starts with the freshest ingredients, stored in Samsung Chef Collection four-door refrigerator. With chef-inspired features, the Chef Collection Refrigerator offers Precise Chef Cooling<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> that minimizes temperature fluctuation inside. <p>For decades, refrigerators had single-speed compressors that were always either off or on. A compressor is the engine that powers the refrigeration cycle, moving refrigerant through the inner and outer heat exchange pipes. With a single-speed compressor, when the temperature inside the fridge reaches above a certain temperature, the compressor suddenly switches on – a noise almost everyone is familiar with. The single-speed compressor operates at full power, producing enough cool air until the temperature has sufficiently decreased before abruptly shutting off.</p>
<p>Enter the digital inverter compressor (a compressor that can operate at variable speeds because it is operated with a digital inverter). Unlike the standard single-speed compressor, which is either off or operating at full speed (typically about 3,600rpm), the digital inverter compressor is almost always on, but can operate at different speeds – from 1,100 to 4,300rpm. This ensures high efficiency and consistent temperature inside the refrigerator. It also results in significant cost savings, a reduced carbon footprint, less noise and a longer lifespan for the compressor. The digital inverter compressor is one of the most important innovations in the history of refrigerators and food preservation and Samsung has led the way.</p>
<p>Today, digital inverter compressors are the main technology used in Samsung’s signature refrigerators, including those that are part of the Chef Collection, the T9000, as well as food showcases and large-capacity premium refrigerators. This has played no small role in Samsung’s ascent to become the world’s top refrigerator manufacturer.</p>
<p>In addition, Samsung has become a technical leader, as one of the world’s top manufacturers of this game-changing technology. Samsung produced more than 40% of the world’s digital inverter compressors in 2014 as other major manufacturers now use Samsung’s superior compressors in their refrigerators.</p>
<p>Samsung really began its rise in this area in 1999 when the company pushed investment in BLDC (brushless direct current) inverter compressors. Since then, Samsung has continued to expand its investment in research and development, hiring a highly skilled team of researchers, which has enabled the company to remain on the cutting edge of technology. From 2000 to 2014, Samsung sold a total of 27.5 million BLDC inverter compressors, which are highly efficient and less noisy compared to a single-speed induction motor compressor. BLDC motors are also better in terms of reliability and longevity. The current Chef Collection refrigerator employs a fifth generation technology of BLDC inverter compressor.</p>
<p>The benefits are obvious. A refrigerator with a Samsung digital inverter compressor consumes up to 46.9% less energy than a single-speed induction motor compressor, and thus contributes far less in the way of greenhouse gases. Because the digital inverter compressor gradually speeds up and slows down, it does not have to work as hard to manage the temperature. This means that refrigerators with digital inverter compressors suffer less wear and tear on components and are therefore far more durable than fridges with conventional compressors. This has allowed Samsung to offer a 10-year warranty on its digital inverter compressors.</p>
<p>The lack of abrupt starts and stops means no sudden, potentially startling disruptive noises interrupting you dinner. Digital inverter compressors are also far less noisy overall: up to 3 decibels quieter. And the consistent, uniform cooling that maintains the desired temperature means food lasts longer because changes in temperature can lead produce, meat, fish and dairy to spoil more quickly. It all means that consumers will save money on both their electric bills and food costs.</p>
<p>When Samsung sought input from its highly influential group of culinary experts, also known as the Club des Chefs, they emphasized that temperature uniformity is a crucial component of any fridge that may be used in a Michelin-starred kitchen. Chef Collection refrigerators boast “Chef Mode,” which ensures that the temperature fluctuates no more than plus or minus 0.5 degrees celsius. The Chef Collection refrigerator is equipped with three evaporators and two compressors to control humidity. It is also made of stainless steel panels, which help to keep the temperature consistent.</p>

<p>Chef Eric Trochon is a founding member of Club des Chefs. Born and trained in France, he is the chef-owner of Semilla restaurant in Paris. Chef Trochon is considered a top professional in many roles, including chef, culinary consultant, food stylist and professor, at the widely-renowned culinary arts institute, Ferrandi Paris.</p>
<p>In 2011, chef Trochon was awarded the prestigious title of MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, or “one of the best craftsmen in France”). This title is a rare and supreme honor given only to the best craftsmen of several skilled professions at the top of their careers, following a rigorous national competition. After winning the title of MOF, a recipient holds the title for the rest of their life.</p>
<p>Although chef Trochon is an expert and exceptional technician in traditional French culinary arts, he has a passion for exploring global cuisine. He is known for combining his expert techniques in French cuisine with flavors from around the world. Most recently, chef Trochon has taken interest in Korean cuisine, particularly focusing on bringing out the natural flavors of its ingredients. He believes that cooking for people is not only about offering the best quality food, but also offering the best food to feed the soul.</p>

<p>In the following video, chef Trochon shares his classic French dessert, shortbread with grapefruit cream. The dessert preparation includes the shortbread, a grapefruit cream curd, pomelo pulp garnish and grapefruit and lemon juice glaze.</p>

<p>The shortbread is made easily using flour, yeast, egg yolks, sugar, salt, soft butter, ginger powder and almond powder. After kneading dough, store in Samsung Chef Collection freezer to harden.</p>
<p>The cream is made of grapefruit juice, lemon juice and sugar. Curd is a preparation that usually includes dairy and an acidic liquid, such as lemon juice. For chef Trochon’s grapefruit cream curd, he uses custard powder, eggs and vanilla. After mixing, boil while whisking on Samsung Chef Collection Range to thicken. He finishes his cream curd with butter and gelatin. Place in a pastry pocket for easy application.</p>
<p>Next, peel the pomelo and separate the pulp for garnish. Set aside. Use Samsung Chef Collection Flex Duo Oven to bake the shortbread.</p>
<p>To prepare the glaze, julienne the grapefruit skin, immerse in water, bring to a boil and drain. Prepare a pan of syrup. Drop the drained julienne grapefruit skin in the syrup, cooking on a low simmer for 30 minutes. Let the syrup cool.</p>
<p>To plate, place your shortbread on a plate. Cover the shortbread with drops of grapefruit cream. Top with pomelo pulp. Garnish with candied glaze and fresh lime zest.</p>

He is most praised for the contemporary appeal he adds to passionate dishes rooted in French tradition.</p>

<p>A native of Lyon, France, Chef Boulud was raised on his family’s farm in the village of Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu, and remains inspired by the natural flow of the seasons and dishes influenced by the finest, freshest ingredients. Growing up, he spent a lot of time in the kitchen with his grandmother, no doubt a gastronome herself, learning traditional cooking techniques. It’s no surprise, then, that one of the chef’s favorite dishes is Poulet Grand-Mère (Grandmother’s Chicken), a savory fricassée, which he notes is as easy to make as it is delicious.</p>

<p>To begin, stuff the chicken with aromatic herbs, such as thyme, sage and garlic. Secure strings around the wings and legs to give it a nice shape for roasting and season it all over with salt and pepper. In a Dutch oven, roast the chicken on medium-high heat until the skin becomes golden brown. Add the bacon cubes and the remainder of the vegetables to the pot. While the chicken is roasting, split some mushrooms. Then, put the chicken in the oven and let it roast on the bone.</p>
<p>When the chicken is ready, remove it and set it aside to rest. Carve the bird and serve it with roasted vegetables and a fresh watercress salad.</p>
