Samsung Electronics today announced its ongoing participation in Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2026, a leading international trade fair for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC+R), renewable energy and water solutions, to be held March 24–27 at Fiera Milano in Milan. Samsung is showcasing a broad range of HVAC innovations spanning residential, commercial and smart building applications — including, for the first time, a joint display featuring key products from FläktGroup, the leading European HVAC company acquired by Samsung last year.

“Samsung has been steadily expanding its presence in the HVAC industry, bringing new innovations to customers every year,” said Sean Lim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Air Solution Business Team for Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics. “At MCE 2026, we are showing how our approach translates into better living — and we invite everyone to come and experience it firsthand.”

At MCE 2026, Samsung has organized its booth into dedicated product and service zones — including EHS, WindFree, Chiller and DVM areas, along with a SmartThings service zone — demonstrating how its solutions work together to support a more integrated and comfortable environment.

Next-Generation Residential Comfort With Bespoke AI WindFree Pro

At its booth, Samsung is presenting its latest Bespoke AI WindFree Pro air conditioner, featuring a refreshed exterior design that complements modern living spaces. To elevate everyday comfort, it offers an expanded range of personalized cooling experiences, building on Samsung’s WindFree heritage.

At the heart of the model is Motion Wind — a three-blade system1 that creates seven tailored airflow patterns,2 ranging from powerful Max Wind for rapid cooling to gentle WindFree for draft-free comfort. The two AI-driven modes3 are AI Direct Wind, which follows the user with targeted airflow for immediate cooling, and AI Indirect Wind, which keeps the user comfortable without blowing air directly onto them.

All-in-One Heat Pump System for Year-Round Home Comfort

In the EHS zone, Samsung is spotlighting an all-in-one heat pump system that combines a single outdoor unit with an indoor unit (EHS ClimateHub) to support space heating, cooling and domestic hot water through both air and water in one integrated system.

The system enables flexible, year-round residential operation, supporting simultaneous functions such as water-based space heating with air heating, water cooling with air cooling or hot water supply combined with air heating — delivering adaptable comfort across seasons. The fully integrated design also enables efficient heat recovery; rather than discharging heat absorbed during cooling outdoors, the system can redirect it for water-based space heating or domestic hot water production — and vice versa. This results in a COP of up to 8.2,6 making it a highly energy-efficient solution for year-round residential comfort.

Strengthening HVAC Solutions for Various Commercial Needs

Samsung is also showcasing a broad lineup of commercial HVAC solutions, including DVM systems and chiller offerings tailored to diverse building requirements.

This includes Samsung’s latest VRF system, named DVM S2+. The new DVM S2+ is equipped with R32 refrigerant in line with global standards, as well as built-in safety measures that ensure peace of mind. DVM S2+ also comes with on-device AI features that add convenience.7 For example, AI Adaptive Control8 adjusts the outdoor unit’s performance based on its surroundings to help reduce energy usage by up to 25%9 under certain conditions.

Another key highlight at MCE 2026 is the inclusion of solutions from FläktGroup, a leading European HVAC specialist whose acquisition has strengthened Samsung’s applied HVAC capabilities — particularly in large-scale facilities such as data centers. FläktGroup’s lineup for the event includes core products such as air handling units (AHUs), chilled beams, fan coil units (FCUs) and other air terminal solutions, demonstrating expanded capabilities across commercial and industrial environments.

Connected Control for Daily Comfort

Samsung is demonstrating how connected services can simplify HVAC management across homes and businesses. Visitors can explore usage scenarios enabled by SmartThings Pro, including streamlined monitoring, integrated device control and energy insights designed to provide comfort and operational efficiency.

Samsung remains committed to expanding its HVAC business globally through continued innovation across residential, commercial and smart building applications. Visitors to Samsung’s booth at MCE 2026 can explore the latest products and connected solutions, engage with representatives and experience Samsung’s vision for smarter, more comfortable environments.

Samsung Electronics today announced its participation in ISH 2025,1 the world’s leading trade fair for the sanitary and HVAC industries, to be held March 17-21 in Frankfurt. Samsung will showcase innovative solutions designed to enhance comfort, convenience and connectivity across residential and commercial environments.

“This year marks our second time participating in ISH after our debut in 2023, and we’re excited to present more advanced products along with a variety of smart solutions such as SmartThings Pro and b.IoT Lite,2 that align with the ‘Connected Flow’ theme,” said Wim Vangeenberghe, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Air Conditioner Europe B.V. “It’s a meaningful opportunity to showcase our next-generation innovations and underline our commitment to delivering smarter living experiences.”

Product Exhibition: Highlighting Advanced HVAC Solutions

At ISH 2025, Samsung will display a wide array of systems and solutions, including Slim Fit EHS ClimateHub and Mono R290, touch controllers, Wi-Fi modules and other solutions. One of the key highlights will be the unveiling of the new Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner models, which have been designed to elevate comfort and usability.

The new Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioners for 2025 feature AI3 Fast & Comfort Cooling, which employs AI technology to provide rapid cooling and meet users’ preferences. When turning on the mode, Fast Cooling quickly lowers the room temperature first. AI technology then continuously analyzes the indoor and outdoor environments to detect if it’s reaching the user’s preferred temperature, and then it switches its mode into WindFree Cooling.

Additionally, new Comfort Drying technology enables dehumidification without cold drafts. While conventional dry modes reduce the set temperature for dehumidification, Comfort Drying maintains a comfort humidity level under temperatures set by the user, satisfying customers who do not want to feel cold during dehumidification. Also, users can utilize AI Energy Mode in SmartThings application to reduce energy use by up to 30%.4 This is possible as the compressor’s rotating frequency is controlled by AI analysis, preventing sudden stops or increases.

Design Excellence Recognized

Samsung also announced that its Slim Fit EHS ClimateHub indoor units — the ClimateHub Mono and the Hydro Unit Mono5 — have won the prestigious Designplus Award in the “Water & Efficiency +” category at ISH 2025. This award acknowledges products that combine innovative design with technology, with a focus on new concepts that deliver added value through technological advancements.

These models have a slim fit design6 that allows the product to be installed in various locations and coordinates with anywhere in the house. Despite the slim fit design, key components like magnetic filters, three-way valves and an expansion vessel for space heating are all included as standard features, which ensures timely installation. Moreover, they come with the 7” AI Home,7 an expansive screen that significantly improves convenience. It allows users to intuitively control the temperature and settings. Additionally, users can monitor the status and energy usage8 of connected solar photovoltaic (PV) systems using the zone overview, as well as control other SmartThings-connected appliances.9

Seamless Integration: SmartThings Pro for Advanced Business Environment

In line with the “Connected Flow” theme, Samsung will also demonstrate the benefits of smart solutions utilizing SmartThings Pro10 through various scenarios and spaces. Visitors will see how SmartThings Pro makes it easy to create a customized business environment with Samsung appliances and some third-party devices — like light bulbs and solar cells — and facilitates comprehensive energy monitoring across the entire home.

Additionally, Samsung will showcase SmartThings Pro and b.IoT Lite for business environments and solutions for commercial spaces like hotels and retail stores. These solutions enhance operational efficiency, enabling smarter management of heating, cooling and energy consumption.

Samsung remains committed to expanding its HVAC business globally and continue to innovate and provide innovative climate solutions to customers worldwide. Visitors to Samsung’s booth at ISH 2025 will have the opportunity to explore new products packed with these technologies, engage with representatives and experience the future of HVAC solutions firsthand.

1 The “Internationale Sanitär- und Heizungsmesse” (ISH) translates from German to “International Sanitation and Heating Fair.”
2 b.IoT Lite is an integrated control solution designed to optimize the operation of VRF systems in small to medium-sized buildings. As a server-based platform, it provides advanced functionality such as predictive maintenance and energy management.
3 To use AI Auto Cooling, a Wi-Fi connection and Samsung account SmartThings are required.
4 The testing was conducted in Samsung’s 132m² residential environment laboratory at a temperature of 35°C / 24°C (dry bulb/wet bulb, KS C 9306: air conditioner). Results provided to and interpreted by Intertek, comparing the power consumption between AI energy mode on and off in AI comfort mode of AR07D9181HZN model. Actual savings may vary by usage patterns and environment and the set temperature may increase by up to 2 degrees. Requires the use of the SmartThings App and a Samsung account.
5 The ClimateHub Mono has an integrated water tank, while the Hydro Unit Mono is a wall-mounted unit without a water tank.

With the growing global focus on thermal efficiency management — driven by energy regulations, climate change, urbanization and population growth — demand for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is surging. In response, major home appliance companies worldwide are ramping up efforts to enter this expanding market.

Against this backdrop, Samsung Electronics is rapidly broadening the availability of its HVAC solutions — including inverters and heat pumps — across residential complexes as well as public and commercial facilities. Over the past five years, Samsung’s HVAC solutions have achieved double-digit annual revenue growth,1 and the company aims to boost revenue by more than 30% this year.

Samsung Newsroom examines the exponential growth and competitive strengths of Samsung’s HVAC business.

Innovative Heat Pump Technology

▲ Mono R32 HT Quiet, an outdoor residential heat pump

Samsung’s EHS TDM (Time Division Multi) Plus is an innovative heating and cooling solution designed to replace traditional boilers. The system utilizes a time-division mechanism to regulate both water and air for heating and cooling through a single outdoor unit — making it particularly effective in regions that require cooling in summer, heating in winter and a continuous supply of hot water year-round. By integrating components that previously required separate installations, the EHS TDM Plus reduces installation space, time and costs while optimizing energy consumption.

For upscale interiors, Samsung offers the WindFree 1-Way Cassette air conditioner. With the press of a button, users can seamlessly switch between powerful heating and cooling modes or activate WindFree Cooling mode for optimal climate control in premium residences.

B2B Solutions With Unmatched IoT Connectivity

▲ The SmartThings Pro zone at Samsung’s booth during CES 2025

Samsung is diversifying its Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to address the growing demand for process automation, remote management and unmanned operations in smart home and enterprise environments.

In 2024, Samsung launched SmartThings Pro2 as an integrated platform for enterprise settings. Expanding beyond residential applications — such as in-home energy management and smart apartment services — SmartThings Pro now offers features like remote maintenance, energy-saving management, personalized room experiences and building automation for public buildings and small- to medium-sized commercial facilities. The company plans to expand the availability of SmartThings Pro from 17 countries at the end of last year to 31 countries this year.

Additionally, Samsung is steadily expanding its b.IoT solution, a building integrated management solution utilizing IoT. By consolidating HVAC, lighting, power and other systems into a single platform, b.IoT enables more advanced building management. The company plans to expand the availability of b.IoT from 31 countries at the end of last year to 36 countries this year.

A One-Stop B2B Integrated Solution

▲ The B2B integrated solution provided for a hotel located in Bali, Indonesia

A B2B integrated solution that provides specialized products and facility management together is one of the competitive edges of Samsung. With extended quality warranties, a unified service channel and a dedicated customer purchasing platform, the one-stop solution significantly enhances convenience.

Specialized consultants available through the platform play a crucial role in building trust and strengthening collaboration. Dedicated experts oversee all aspects of the HVAC system, providing new product introductions and technical support through monthly on-site training sessions.

Driving B2B Growth With Next-Generation Technology

▲ The residential heat pump EHS displayed at 2025 AHR Expo

Samsung plans to accelerate the expansion of its new heating and cooling technology in the North American market. Showcased at CES 2025, the Residential Heat Pump EHS is already available in over 40 European countries and is set to roll out to North American households this year.

The Hylex R454B — an easy-to-install hybrid inverter outdoor unit — is another product introduced to the North American unitary market. Unique to North America, residential unitary systems are HVAC solutions that cool homes and mid-sized buildings by distributing chilled air through ductwork.

Furthermore, Samsung plans to leverage SmartThings Pro to remotely analyze air conditioners and SmartThings-connected devices — providing more precise and customized services for energy savings, optimized climate control and maintenance support.

“With our industry-leading heating and cooling technology and the enhanced SmartThings Pro connectivity experience, we are committed to accelerating our expansion in the global HVAC market,” said Hank Choi, Corporate VP and Head of Air Solution Business Team, Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Through innovative, customized solutions, we aim to provide consumers with an even more convenient and comfortable lifestyle.”
