As the technology of smart devices continues to evolve at a rapid pace, one conclusion is clear. Not all smart devices are created equal. While more and more devices can do more and more things, there are some things that only Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge can do. Here are few of the features you won’t find on any other device.

1. Multi-Tasking with the Multi Window

Smartphones are now vital to every part of our lives, from business to pleasure and from productivity to entertainment. With the fast pace of life and expectations of immediate response, being able to quickly maneuver between applications is non-negotiable.

Galaxy devices take multi-tasking to the next level by allowing you to view multiple windows simultaneously. This feature has been really popular for the Galaxy Note series, and has been available ever since the release of Galaxy S3. How many times have you gotten an invitation and needed to check your availability? You have to close the message, open your calendar, close your calendar, open your messages, back and forth. Now, you can view your messages and calendar at the same time on your Galaxy device.

2. Selfie Sensor and Selfie Cam

Double click the home button to access the camera from any screen. The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge can launch the camera in under a second. Not only do the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge offer wide selfies, you can use the sensor on the back of the devices to snap your pic at the perfect angle. No more fumbling around with your device, trying to get the right angle while reaching for the shutter button.

The dual camera mode, which is one many free modes you can easily download, lets you take a photo using both front and back cameras at the same time. This is great for sharing moments with friends and family, as you can take a selfie while taking a photo of a beautiful background.

3. Power Saving Mode & Ultra-Power Saving Mode

The faster our devices perform, the more battery life (or lack thereof) becomes a critical issue and a major source of anxiety for some. Watching the battery percentage tick down has become a daily habit.

While the Galaxy S6 comes with a 2,550mAh battery, everyone finds themselves in a situation when saving every percentage point is crucial. With Power Saving Mode and Ultra-Power Saving Mode on Galaxy S6, you can extend your battery life easily. Power Saving Mode limits CPU performance, reduces screen brightness and goes into sleep mode faster after receiving notifications. Ultra-Power Saving Mode applies grayscale to the home screen and limits the number of usable apps to reduce power consumption to the bare minimum.

4. Wireless Charging & Fast Charging

While these features are available on other Galaxy devices, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have revolutionized fast charging technology. With built-in wireless charging, there is no need to purchase additional attachments or gadgets to use the wireless charging pad. The fast charging technology of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge charges from 0 to 100 in only about 80 minutes. They also charge up to four hours of use after only ten minutes of charging. Say goodbye to charger anxiety.

5. Samsung Pay

While other mobile payment services use near field communication (NFC) and fingerprint authentication, the benefits are limited to the vendors that install the required equipment to receive such payments. Samsung Pay supports both NFC and magnetic secure transmission (MST), allowing customers to pay at any PoS terminal. Backed by KNOX security, users can be confident that their personal information is safe.

6. True Privacy

Other devices allow you to hide your private photos, but they remain visible in the list of albums. Private Mode is available on many Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S6. This can be activated or deactivated in Quick Settings. When you turn on the Private Mode, you can create a private folder under My Files, and you will find that your private albums are hidden activated.

The photos saved in Private Mode are stored separately from those in normal mode with stronger security. Fingerprint identification is required to access information moved to Private Mode so you can be sure that your sensitive information will always be protected.

7. S Health

S Health is an all-in-one companion for your healthy lifestyle. With the new S Health, you can track your everyday activities, get coaching to reach your daily goals and improve your fitness with various training programs. Measure and understand your health with trackers such as heart rate and SpO₂, using built-in sensors in Samsung Galaxy and Gear devices.

8. Palm Swipe Screenshot

Easily take a screenshot by swiping your palm across the screen. No other device uses motion recognition to activate screenshot capture. This means you can easily capture information you want to access later or send to a contact with just a single gesture.

Lastly, there is one additional feature that Galaxy devices do better than any other device, Ultimate Customization. Samsung Galaxy devices let you make your device truly yours. The home screens of Galaxy devices are fully customizable. You can move icons to any area of the screen, or use widgets like the minimal clock, allowing you to see your beautiful wallpaper.

With the introduction of themes on Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, Samsung took customization to the next level. Within each theme, users can further change the font style of the dialer numbers and the clock.

Samsung continues to think about what matters to users and how its products and services can make daily life easier for people around the world. With just a few, but huge innovations, the Galaxy series is taking smart devices to the next level.

Life is full of countless mundane tasks that steal your time. The more time passes, the more acutely aware you become that time is a finite resource. It is impossible to retrieve time which has passed, making it one of your most valuable assets. Finding ways to reduce wasted time is a top priority for most.

With the release of the new Galaxy S6, Samsung is giving you the power to reclaim your time and how you choose to use it. Thanks to its fast-charging capability, Galaxy S6 can achieve up to four hours of usage after just 10 minutes on the charger. S6 also comes equipped with other convenient charging options, like built-in wireless charging technology. Less time needed for a longer charge means you can focus your time on more important things.
In the spirit of giving back your time, here’s more time-saving tricks you can do in 10 minutes or less, while you charge your Galaxy S6. (Multi-tasking saves even more time!)

1. Say Good-bye to the Morning Scramble

To shave at least 10-15 minutes off your morning routine, steam your clothes by hanging them in the bathroom while you shower. Let the steam do the hard work for you. Now you can spend those extra minutes relaxing with a cup of coffee, organizing your day, catching up on current events, or getting to the office early for a change. Saving those precious minutes could even give you 10 more minutes of sleep, and who doesn’t want more time to sleep?

2. Cool Down Warm Drinks (Almost) Instantly

If you need to cool down a warm beverage fast, wrap your glass, bottle, or can in a wet paper towel. Place your beverage in the freezer and it should be ice cold in about 10 minutes. You can also put your beverage in a pot or large bowl, fill it with ice, then add 2 cups of salt and fill with water. Your beverage will be ready to consume in no time. After a long day at work, no one’s got time to wait for a refreshment.

3. Multi-Purpose Sticky Notes and Be Eco-Friendly

Before you throw away the sticky note reminders plastered all over your desk you no longer need, you can get one more use out of them. Slide it between the keys of your keyboard for a quick clean. Dirt and dust will stick to the sticky note, and you can reach the tight spaces that even a cotton swab can’t fit. This trick is a time-saver and it’s eco-friendly.

4. Break in New Shoes in No Time (and No Pain!)

It can take what feels like an eternity to break in new shoes. Each excruciating moment seems to last forever. Save yourself the time and pain with this life hack. First, put on your thickest socks with your new shoes. If you are lucky enough to live somewhere that doesn’t require thick socks, put on a couple pairs. Then, use a blow dryer on your feet. The heat will make the material of your shoes more pliable and the thickness of the socks will help stretch them even more. Make sure to move your feet as you would when walking naturally as you apply heat so your shoes stretch and mold to the most comfortable shape. It’s no longer necessary to sacrifice comfort for style, at least for your feet!

5. A Picture is Worth 1,000 Grocery Lists

Forever writing grocery lists, just to leave them stuck to the fridge when you go to the grocery store? Instead of wasting time (and paper) writing grocery lists you always forget, try taking a photo of food items when you notice they are running low. You’ll always have your phone on you, even when you make a spontaneous stop for dinner supplies. You can delete the photos as you buy them, like checking items off your list. For multi-member households, you can share photos easily so you’ll never get the wrong kind of spaghetti sauce again.

6. Just Nuke It

How many hours have you toiled away at cleaning grease and stuck-on food from your microwave? Or do you pretend not to see the filth and hope the magic cleaning fairies will find their way to your kitchen? Clean your microwave fast by nuking a mixture of 2/3 water and 1/3 white vinegar for three to four minutes. Everything should wipe clean with ease using a damp cloth. Microwaves speed up cooking and cleaning.

7. Wardrobe Tricks In a Rush

If your button is getting loose, but you’ve got no time to sew a button, paint clear nail polish over the button (and thread). This keeps it from unraveling. Zipper stuck? Everyone knows the longer you try to fix it, the more stuck it seems to get. When in a jam, use Vaseline to unstick a zipper. Stain removal is a major pain, and such a time-sucker. For fast easy prewashing, use hairspray on lipstick stains, shaving foam on makeup stains, and wine white to remove red wine.

These common everyday hacks help you save as many precious minutes as possible, just like the fast-charging power of Samsung Galaxy S6. You can finish any of these life hacks in the 10 minutes it takes for Galaxy S6 to reach 4 hours of usage. With other features like Ultra Power Saving Mode and Smart Manager, managing power consumption is a breeze. S6 also comes with other convenient charging features, like built-in wireless charging technology, so you can stop worrying about your battery life and start enjoying more of your life.

The first event, set in Dubai will be unveiled on May 4 and will feature Swiss pilot Yves “Jetman” Rossy. The second event, set in Barcelona will be streamed on May 11 and will feature Marco Brambilla, an artist known for recontextualization. The final event will take place in Shenzhen, and will feature daredevil photographer Daniel Lau on May 18. The three-part series will highlight iconic influencers in their fields, as they push boundaries and revolutionize the art of storytelling through technology. The digital events will allow users to experience these events first-hand, along with the subjects as they capture their lives with the Galaxy S6.
