Honoring its commitment to making technology more accessible for people with disabilities, Samsung Electronics Iberia, S.A.U. has announced that its Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note10 devices have received an accessibility certification from Spain-based NGO Fundación ONCE (the ONCE Foundation). The Amovil seal is part of a project developed by the ONCE Foundation in collaboration with universal accessibility consultancy ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad, whose objective is to provide information about the accessibility features of commercial smartphones.

A Leader in Accessibility

Samsung is the first manufacturer to receive the ONCE Foundation’s seal of accessibility, which affirms that Samsung devices meet universal accessibility standards. This achievement is the result of close collaboration between Samsung and the ONCE Foundation, with the organizations aiming to use technology as a tool to support the autonomy of people living with disabilities and improve their quality of life.

“We are very proud to be the first to receive the ONCE Foundation seal of accessibility, which is another sign of our efforts to make all our products accessible to as many people as possible,” said Alfonso Fernández, head of Marketing, Corporate Communication and Institutional Relations at Samsung Electronics Iberia. Meanwhile, Jesús Hernández, head of Universal Accessibility and Innovation at the ONCE Foundation, stressed that, “This certification has been established to meet the demands of the many institutions that want to know if the technology they purchase is responsible or not. Samsung is well-aware of how important it is to ensure that its devices are accessible to as much of the population as possible.”

Striving for Accessibility in the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note10

The Galaxy S20 family, consisting of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra, has been certified by the ONCE Foundation as providing accessibility features for people with zero and partial vision, zero and partial hearing, moderate and severe manipulation difficulties, difficulty seeing colors and speech difficulties. In addition, all of the Galaxy S20 models include a comprehensive accessibility menu to help users find the features they’re looking for quickly and easily. Users are also afforded the option to activate accessibility functions – such as the screen reader – when they first turn their devices on. The entire Galaxy S20 range also includes 5G connectivity, which allows users to download content faster, without delays or interruptions, even while conducting video calls or viewing live content.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 incorporates accessibility features for people with zero and partial vision, zero and partial hearing, moderate or severe manipulation difficulties, color blindness, and speech difficulties. It also includes an S Pen that allows users to take notes and create precise sketches, facilitating the completion of a wide range of tasks.

Samsung’s Broader Commitment to Accessibility

Samsung Electronics Iberia, S.A.U.’s commitment to accessibility is part of its corporate “Tecnología con Propósito” program, which seeks to positively impact the greatest number of people possible by harnessing technology to break down barriers. In Spain, these efforts extend to such important areas as education and culture, welfare, entrepreneurship and employability. In order to best serve these efforts, Samsung is constantly seeking partnerships with prominent associations such as the ONCE Foundation, among others, in order to promote inclusion and technological progress.

A night sky scattered with sparkling, gem-like stars provided the canvas for this stunning photo of the Milky Way, which is from the official Samsung UK site. Incredibly, this photo took neither specialized equipment nor a professional photographer to shoot, but only required the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and two office workers—Hyuck-ki Lee and Seok-joon Hong from Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business. Below, we explore their journey into the realm of astrophotography, and find out how the pair managed to capture the grandeur of the Milky Way with the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

A Young Man’s Journey to Becoming a Self-Made Astrophotographer

The Galaxy S20 Ultra, set to shoot the night sky

When Hong first started pursuing photography as a hobby, he used a film camera that he had received from his father. As he visited more and more shooting destinations, he found himself becoming increasingly immersed in the world of photography. In 2013, he and Lee traveled to Tanzania, where Hong got his first taste of astrophotography.

“I’ve always been interested in astronomy, and I even built my own telescope in high school,” Lee related. “I love how, with astrophotography, one day you can be shooting the moon from your living room, and the next you may be capturing a celestial phenomena that has never been caught on camera before. However, the idea that you could capture the night sky in all its glory with only a smartphone was a new concept to me.”

Moonlight Park, Uiseong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea

Glimpsing the stars shining bright on a pitch-black night is impressive enough, but actually trying to capture the sight with your camera can prove tricky. First, finding a spot to shoot that is unaffected by the light pollution caused by cities and large towns can prove difficult. Second, if you don’t remain alert and attentive, you risk missing the fleeting moment to get just the shot you’ve been waiting for. Third, you have no choice but to lug your heavy camera gear to whichever far-flung shooting destination you may have chosen.

But Hong and Lee report that the Galaxy S20 Ultra is going a long way towards alleviating those challenges. “Utilizing the camera on the Galaxy S20 Ultra has saved me from a lot of the difficulties that I thought were unavoidable,” said Hong. “A Galaxy S20 Ultra and a sturdy tripod are all a beginner astrophotographer really needs.”

Image captured at a wind farm at Maengdongsan Mountain, Yeongyang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea

How to Take Stellar Pictures on a Smartphone

The images of the night sky that the pair captured from the valleys and foothills between Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do were so dazzling that it was hard to believe they were taken with a smartphone camera. “Even when a photograph is taken of the same thing, from the same place, at the same time, different photographers can produce varying products based on their differing perspectives and intentions,” Lee reported. “In many cases, differences in composition and angle combine to create a completely different piece of work.”

The Milky Way by Hong (top) and Star Trails by Lee (bottom) demonstrate how each photographer’s style comes through in their work

While taking photographs, it is also important to be familiar with your equipment and make the most of the features it offers. “The Galaxy S20 is definitely superior in terms of portability,” said Hong. “It also has the advantage of offering Pro Mode, which allows you to take photos manually and gives you more control over your settings, and ultimately the final results. I will definitely keep taking the S20 out into the field because of how it complements my DSLR camera.”

The Galaxy S20 Ultra offers improved low light photography and stability, producing extraordinary nighttime shots with minimal blur and noise. “Capturing good images of the night sky requires long exposure times, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra is very well-suited to this kind of photography,” emphasized Lee. “Equipped with a 108-megapixel sensor and nona-binning technology for better low light performance, the camera on the Galaxy S20 Ultra is capable of capturing beautiful night-time photos.”

Hong and Lee also offered tips for those looking to try their hand at astrophotography. Lee recommended that burgeoning photographers start off simple, saying, “Static shots of constellations and the moon are easy to shoot, so are a good place to start. Make sure that you focus on the beauty of what you are trying to capture instead of the resulting pictures, and you will be rewarded with splendid pieces of work.”

“These days, chances for socialization are few and far between,” Hong commented. “So, for those looking to pass the time by getting into photography, I strongly recommend taking trips to remote areas with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. You don’t need a high-end DSLR camera to take great-quality pictures of constellations these days. You can also use astronomy apps to help you find constellations to take pictures of as well. From there, simply take out your Galaxy S20 Ultra and start creating special memories with your loved ones.”

How to Take Exceptional Night-time Photos with the Galaxy S20 Ultra

Before You Go

The best time to photograph the Milky Way is on a moonless night. A good flashlight and a backup phone battery are musts.

When You Get There

1) Set Up Your Equipment

When shooting in low light, you will need a tripod and either a remote shutter or timed shutter. The camera needs to be kept as still as possible to allow it to take in light.

2) Use Pro Mode

Most cameras aren’t automatically set up to take pictures of the stars. Switch from automatic to manual mode in advance so that you can then adjust settings like the ISO and shutter speed yourself between each shot.

3) Fine-tune the Shutter Speed

Apply a slow shutter speed, as your shutter needs to be open longer than normal in order to receive enough light for the shot. If you leave the shutter open long enough, you will capture star trails.

4) Adjust the White Balance

The White Balance setting adjusts the color temperature of your camera, ensuring that things that look white to your eye actually show up as white in the final product. A white balance of between 3500 and 4500 generally proves suitable for astrophotography.

5) Manage ISO Sensitivity

Your ISO setting determines the image sensor’s sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO, the brighter the photos. However, a higher ISO setting can cause unwanted noise and blocky pixels.

Tip for Saving Photos

While in Pro Mode, make sure to save photos as the RAW file type by navigating to Settings and turning on the ‘Save RAW copies’ feature. Photos saved as RAW files offer more editing options than those saved as JPGs or PNGs.

From the crack of a bat to the smell of a freshly mowed field, there are so many things that we love about baseball – and so many things that we’ve missed since the pandemic brought the sports world to a standstill.

Recently, the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) gave people around the world something to cheer for by becoming one of the first sports leagues to get back to playing ball. With thorough cleaning protocols in place to protect the health and safety of players and staff, the KBO has been back in action for more than a month now. Unfortunately, however, teams have been forced to press on without the most important element of all: the millions of die-hard fans that make this league so special.

Captured using the Galaxy S20 Ultra and narrated by MLB star and former NC Dinos first baseman Eric Thames, the video below spotlights how KBO teams are adjusting to this era of crowdless games, and giving people hope for an eventual return to normal life.

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon to discuss Samsung’s latest mobile innovation, the Galaxy S20 series, and how the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform enables new and immersive experiences powered by 5G. It’s another step in Samsung’s democratization of 5G.

The Galaxy S20 series empowers our consumers to engage with their smartphones in new ways, which is why we focused on enabling 5G. The high-speed and ultra-low latency of the Galaxy S20 series will allow users to upload, stream and download content at unprecedented rates1. Because we know our consumers want full access to 5G connectivity regardless of where they are or what carrier they use, the Galaxy S20 series offers 5G support for all types of 5G networks, regardless of frequency2. This is only the beginning.

2020 will be the Year of Galaxy 5G

We want 2020 to be the year that every consumer experiences the benefits of 5G connectivity, starting with the Galaxy S20 series. Our work with partners and software developers has led to new discoveries where 5G is able to elevate mobile streaming, gaming and communication, and these partnerships will continue to deliver the next wave of 5G-powered features and technologies. We are excited to bring consumers premium 5G-ready devices across several different categories, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and wearables—all available across a wide range of price points.

In 2019, we captured the majority of the 5G device market share with over 6.7 million 5G-enabled smartphones shipped. In 2020, we will make 5G even more accessible as we bring Galaxy 5G-ready devices to twice as many countries.3

Introducing a Whole New Mobile Experience

We have been working with our partners to develop 5G solutions that simplify and improve the mobile experience. Recently, we announced that together with Google we are optimizing the Google Duo experience for Galaxy S20 users with 5G.4

Throughout the year, our focus will be to support the integration of technologies like AI and 5G to ensure our consumers are benefiting from these capabilities. While it’s important to put 5G in the hands of as many people as possible, it is especially important to create valuable experiences with these technologies. We know, for example, that the camera has become the single most important factor when choosing a new smartphone. With the Galaxy S20 series, we’ve brought all-new AI-powered capabilities to the camera.

Exemplifying the potential of technology like AI and 5G, the Galaxy S20 camera brings together innovative software with cutting-edge hardware so you can capture the world around you, express yourself, and share your moments with those that matter most. And 5G will accelerate in enabling the experiences. Today, we are so thrilled to see the Galaxy S20 go on sale and get in the hands of consumers around the world.

1 Network speeds are subject to variability depending on your carrier and region. Check with your carrier for availability and details.

2 Network support is subject to variability depending on your carrier and region. Check with your carrier for availability and details.

3 Availability dependent upon 5G network readiness of carriers and market.

4 5G speeds vary and require optimal network and connection (factors include frequency, bandwidth, congestion); see carrier for availability.

The Galaxy S20 series’ camera is the most powerful throughout the Galaxy history. Combining a groundbreaking hardware system with innovative software powered by AI, the camera on the Galaxy S20, the S20+ and the S20 Ultra has been built to change the way we capture.

Every aspect of the Galaxy S20’s camera has been designed to help you take, edit and share photos and videos easier than ever. Read on to discover how its leading features and capabilities can help you capture each and any moment, exactly the way you see it.

1. Capture What Matters, Just as It Is

When it comes to taking truly real-to-life photos, a camera’s resolution is what’s key. In order to help you take your shots to the next level, each of the Galaxy S20 devices comes with a camera with an advanced sensor so that you can record your special moments in super high-resolution.

With 108MP resolution on the S20 Ultra and 64MP on the S20 and S20+, pictures and videos taken on the devices are so pixel-perfect, you can zoom in on your cityscapes or striking landscape shots even with the smallest details.

2. Get Closer to the Action

Not only is Galaxy S20’s camera powerful, it is also packed with innovative new Zoom capabilities. The Galaxy S20’s Space Zoom feature gets you closer to all the action, with the S20 and S20+ supporting up to 30x zoom and the S20 Ultra supporting up to a game-changing 100x zoom.

Whether you’re seated up in the rafters at a concert or trying to catch a close-up of your favorite sports player during a game, Space Zoom means you’re able to zoom in on what matters to you while retaining photo clarity. Even if you’re looking to take a picture of something really far away – such as the moon – you’ll be able to capture your luminescent subject as if it’s right there in front of you with Space Zoom.

3. Immerse Yourself in Cinematic Video

Say you’re capturing a breathtaking sunset in real-time. Now with the Galaxy S20, you can be sure to capture every beautiful detail in 8K without the need for external devices – perfect for those moments that require nothing less than to be recorded in cinematic quality.

Not only that, Galaxy S20 can also help you focus on each and every special moment by letting you pick and save stills from your video recordings as 33MP high-resolution photos. Wanting to share your moment with your friends and family, exactly the way you experienced it? You can stream your 8K videos straight onto a Samsung 8K TV1.

4. Let Your Camera Do the Work for You

Finding that perfect camera mode can cost you crucial seconds when trying to capture that spontaneous reunion or unexpected goal. Single Take takes the pressure off those split-second camera mode decisions, as it harnesses AI to capture different versions of the same moment using each of its cameras.

With Single Take, all you have to do is press record when the moment calls for it and your Galaxy S20 will capture the footage, up to 10 seconds of it, with a range of its capture modes. Once the moment has passed, you’ll be able to revisit the clips and decide whether you like what you shot best as a time lapse, as a forward-and-reverse video or as one of the many other options on Gallery app.

5. Stay Fixed on the Fun

Life happens fast, and some of our most fun memories happen when we’re on our feet. Accordingly, cameras need to be able to keep up with our daily adventure, even when they’re happening at 10 miles an hour.

The enhanced Super Steady makes use of a new and improved anti-rolling stabilizer and AI motion analysis to stabilize motion in-shot while you record. So next time you’re trying to ensure you’re capturing all of the action on camera, don’t worry about missing a thing – your S20 device will help keep your shots smooth and stable.

6. Capture Clearly, Even at Night

When capturing scenes in low-light conditions, we are often disappointed to see that our pictures come out blurry, grainy or just dissimilar to what’s in front of us. But the Galaxy S20’s camera is set to change all that thanks to its larger image sensor, which means that even in default camera mode, photos and videos come out clear and true to life regardless of lighting conditions.

You can also turn on Night mode on your Galaxy S20 device. Powered by multi-image processing technology and multi-ISO composition, the Galaxy S20’s Night mode works to reduce the motion blur normally found in nighttime and low-light shots. The S20 Ultra even features unique nona-binning technology, the first of its kind, which merges nine pixels into one for outstandingly clear low-light pictures and videos.

7. Never Miss an Opportunity to Snap or Share

Not only is the camera on the Galaxy S20 primed for any capture scenarios, it also takes powerful performance to the next level. Thanks to its incredible storage capacity, you’ll have plenty of room for all of your favorite photos and videos, and with its all-day battery, you’ll never have to prioritize what you use your phone for, meaning that you’re sure to never miss any special moment. Also, for those who like to spread the love, the Galaxy S20’s Quick Share lets users share files with up to five friends at once with no device pairing required2.

The Galaxy S20’s camera has been designed to take the stress out of taking photos and videos so that you can easily capture everything as you see it easier than ever before – all you have to do is point and shoot.

1 Compatible with 2019 and 2020 Samsung QLED 8K TVs

2 Compatible Samsung Galaxy device or Samsung TV required

Whether you’re in poor lighting or your subject is too far away, sometimes getting the perfect photo just isn’t possible without the right equipment. To solve this, the Galaxy S20’s camera seamlessly combines a cutting-edge camera hardware system with AI-powered software technology, so you never compromise on quality—or simplicity. It changes the way you capture and goes beyond the moment you point and shoot to change every aspect of your camera experience. Here’s an up-close look at the new technology behind the Galaxy S20’s camera.

Capture with Crystal Clarity: 108MP/64MP High Resolution

More resolution means more details. The Galaxy S20’s camera offers super-high resolution, so you can capture the details every time. The Galaxy S20 Ultra features a 108MP sensor, while the S20 and S20+ feature a 64MP sensor. Although cropping a shot used to mean losing details, with the high-resolution sensors on the Galaxy S20 you have plenty of resolution to crop and still get crisp, clear images.

It all starts with a fundamental change to the sensor architecture, both in terms of the size of the image sensor and the technology incorporated within. The larger sensors take in more light, so you get rich image quality even in low light situations.

The S20 Ultra takes things a step further with the 108MP sensor which switches between nona-binning and re-mosaic technologies to provide images with more clarity even in very low light or bright environments.

Nona-binning for superior image quality: Nona-binning technology merges nine pixels into one, so the 108MP sensor provides a 12MP photo. Larger pixels produced by the nona-binning technology can capture more light for improved clarity, even in low light conditions.

Re-mosaic in bright light conditions: Re-mosaic re-arranges color pixels to bring out more details. The re-mosaic algorithm remaps pixels into a conventional RGB pattern, producing more detailed images in bright light conditions. You can easily switch to the 108MP Mode in the Quick Settings menu: Camera > Photo > Ratio > 108MP.

See Further, See Better: Space Zoom with Telephoto Lens

The Galaxy S20’s Space Zoom technology uses a combination of Hybrid Optic Zoom, and super resolution zoom technology which includes AI multi-frame processing (AI-powered digital zoom) to ensure that even when you are far away, you can zoom in close.

The Galaxy S20’s new Hybrid Optic Zoom combines an advanced high-resolution image sensor with an all new lens, which is designed to provide more value to users than traditional optical zoom does. Thanks to this new technology, the Galaxy S20 and S20+ can achieve 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom, while the Galaxy S20 Ultra can achieve 10x Hybrid Optic Zoom. With AI-powered digital zoom, you can see even further, up to 30x on the S20 and S20+ and up to 100x on the S20 Ultra.

To achieve 100x zoom, the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s uses a folded lens and a high-resolution sensor. The folded lens provides up to 10x Hybrid Optic Zoom, while super zoom resolution technology brings an additional 10x zoom with AI multi-frame processing to reduce hand shaking and quality loss at high zoom levels. Images produced are clear thanks to the combination of the lens optics and a sensor crop on the high-resolution sensor.

48MP Sensor: The sensor on the S20 Ultra is a 48MP sensor which switches between tetra-binning and re-mosaic depending on the shooting conditions, such as brightness level or zoom ratio. Tetra-binning combines 4 pixels into 1, resulting in a 12MP photo with larger pixels. When the RGB pixels are re-arranged with the re-mosaic technology, each pixel operates independently to use a sensor crop and provides up to 10x high ratio zoom.

Folded lens: The Galaxy S20 Ultra leverages a folded zoom lens to squeeze more zoom capability into a small space. The lens lays flat and is positioned at the bottom of the camera on the phone. Light coming in from the back of the phone is redirected by a prism into the lens, refracting to the right at a 90-degree angle through a series of stacked optical elements which increases the focal length, much like the way a periscope works. Cutting down both the height and width of the camera, we are able to deliver groundbreaking zoom capabilities.

A next-generation device built for a new generation of users, the Galaxy S20 was created to empower us to communicate and express ourselves in incredible new ways.

Featuring a refined design and a new, super-high-resolution camera setup that brings out the best in every image and moment, Samsung’s latest flagships completely change how we capture and experience the world around us. Read on to learn more about how Samsung optimized the devices for the way we live today.

A Bar-Raising Design

To make it easy for users to find the smartphone that’s right for them, the Galaxy S20 is available in a choice of three models: the 6.2-inch Galaxy S20, the 6.7-inch Galaxy S20+, and the 6.9-inch Galaxy S20 Ultra. Each features a thin and light design that’s topped off by the latest product of Samsung’s mobile display leadership: the nearly bezel-less, full-frontal Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display.

The Galaxy S20 and S20+’s displays include a 10MP selfie camera, while the S20 Ultra boasts a 40MP lens. The Galaxy S20 Ultra also features a powerful Quad camera setup that offers pro-grade photos and videos.

The smartphones are available in a choice of four eye-catching colors, including Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black, Cloud Blue and Cloud Pink.1 Inspired by light, each standout hue accentuates the devices’ beautiful blend of metal and glass.

A Simpler Way to Shoot

Forget choosing between a photo or video when capturing a special moment. Stay in the moment while you capture it by simultaneously taking photos and videos with the Galaxy S20’s Single Take function.

The way it works is simple. Single Take lets you record up to ten seconds of ultra-wide/wide-angle footage, and uses advanced AI to recommend a variety of formats so you can pick your favorite takes. The function utilizes multiple cameras at once to capture up to ten high-quality photos and four video clips, and even suggests edits and video effects like cropping, Live Focus and time lapse to help you choose the perfect shot.

Experience Life in 8K

* This video is supported by the DLNA (Digital Living Networking Alliance) format.

Sometimes, a scene can be so beautiful, inspiring or unbelievably cute that you need the highest possible resolution to do it justice. For those moments when every detail matters, the Galaxy S20 allows you to record videos in immersive 8K resolution.

Four times higher resolution than 4K and 16 times higher than FHD, 8K video captures content in true-to-life detail. Such impeccable resolution essentially transforms each frame into a high-res still that users can instantly zoom in on and save as an unforgettable photo.

Once you’ve recorded your content, the smartphone makes it easy to cast your video to your Samsung QLED 8K to enjoy a truly peerless viewing experience. And with support for 5G networks’ hyper-fast speeds and ultra-low latency built right in, streaming and uploading 8K videos online is just as seamless.2

Samsung Electronics today unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S20, a new series of flagship devices that fundamentally change the way we capture and experience our world. The Galaxy S20 series introduces a brand-new camera architecture that combines AI with Samsung’s largest image sensor yet for stunning image quality. Along with the camera, the Galaxy S20 makes the experience of everything we love to do with our phones, easier and better—enjoy personalized music for every moment of the day, watch videos the way they are meant to be seen and play console-style games on-the-go.

“As we enter this new decade, 5G will completely change how we communicate and how we experience the world around us,” said Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics. “As all three Galaxy S20 variants come with 5G connectivity, Samsung is providing a next-generation device for transforming people’s lives. With an incredible, AI powered camera, you can capture the moments as they happen and connect more seamlessly with the people you love.”

Shaping the Future of Communication

With 5G, a new decade of mobile innovation is beginning. And to harness this new generation of connectivity, every device in the Galaxy S20 series—the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra—comes equipped with the latest 5G technology.1 The Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra are the first devices able to power new mobile experiences that take advantage of both sub-6 and mmWave. The Galaxy S20 supports sub-6.2 All three devices are capable of delivering non-standalone and standalone 5G capabilities.

Changing How We Capture

Now, more than ever, we capture our lives and tell our stories through our smartphones—and that is why the camera is the single-most important feature for consumers purchasing a new smartphone. Designed for the way we live, the Galaxy S20 introduces an entirely new camera system—powered by AI and with our biggest image sensor yet—to bring out the best in every image and every moment.

Details in Stunning Clarity: With a larger image sensor available on the Galaxy S20 series, camera resolution is significantly increased, for more detailed images with added flexibility for editing, cropping, and zooming. S20 and S20+ have a 64MP camera. S20 Ultra has 108MP camera. Another benefit is that the larger sensors take in more light, so you get rich image quality even in low light situations. The S20 Ultra takes things a step further with the option to shift dynamically between a high resolution 108MP mode and a 12MP mode, thanks to nona-binning technology which combines nine pixels into one at the sensor level.

Groundbreaking Zoom Capability: With the Galaxy S20’s Space Zoom technology that uses a combination of Hybrid Optic Zoom and Super Resolution Zoom, which includes AI-powered digital zoom, even when you are far away you can zoom in close. Use up to 30X zoom on the Galaxy S20 and S20+, or step-up to the revolutionary folded lenses on the S20 Ultra, which uses AI powered, multi-image processing to reduce quality loss at high zoom levels so that users can experience Super Resolution Zoom up to 100X with a clearer view ever than before.

Single Take, Multiple Possibilities: Single Take lets you stay in the moment, while you capture the moment. Thanks to its AI camera technologies, the Galaxy S20 can capture a number of photos and videos, such as Live focus, cropped, Ultra Wide and more that captures your moment the best.

Pro-Grade Filming Capability: The Galaxy S20 offers stunning 8K video shooting, so users can capture their world in true-to-life color and quality. When you are done shooting, stream your video to a Samsung QLED 8K and enjoy its best-in-class viewing experience3 or grab a still from an 8K video and turn it into a high-res photo. And, even the bumpiest videos look like they were shot using an action cam, thanks to Super Steady and its anti-rolling stabilization and AI motion analysis.

Do What You Love, Better

The Galaxy makes the experience of everything we love to do on our phone, easier and better. With new features and impactful partnerships, inspired by open collaboration, the Galaxy S20 is built for how we use our phones today.

Music: Whether you are just waking up, or heading to the gym, enjoy a personalized soundtrack based around your routine, thanks to a new integration between Spotify and Bixby Routines. With Music Share, extend your paired Bluetooth connection to a car stereo or speaker via your device, so you and your friend can take turns DJ-ing during a road trip.4

Exceptional Video Chat on Google Duo: Video chat more easily with all of the most important people in your life on the Galaxy S20. With 5G, the Galaxy S20 enhances the video chatting experience through a deep integration with Google Duo, bringing new Duo features first to Galaxy S20. Now, from the dialer, you can tap Duo to start a video call and enjoy, for the first time ever, FHD quality. Google Duo is compatible across operating systems, so you are not limited in who you can video chat with. Fit the entire family in the frame, using the wide lens; and talk to up to 8 friends, at once.

YouTube on 5G: Share your 8K videos with the world faster and better. Samsung partnered with YouTube so you can upload your 8K videos directly to YouTube—and with integrated 5G capabilities, experience ultra-fast upload speeds.5

Entertainment: Taking advantage of the Galaxy S20’s pro-grade camera, Netflix and Samsung are working together to put the Galaxy S20 in the hands of renowned directors to capture bonus content based on popular Netflix Originals. Users can also discover Netflix’s best-in-class content through an improved integration with Galaxy devices, enabling ease of content discovery and accessibility via Samsung Daily, Bixby, and Finder.6

Gaming: The Galaxy S20 series takes mobile gaming to the next level. With a 120Hz display, you’ll have the ability to experience incredibly smooth gaming. Later this spring, Samsung partner, Microsoft, will launch its popular Forza Street in the Galaxy Store, marking the first time the game is coming to mobile. Combined with a fast processor, 12GB of RAM7, audio tuned by AKG and a game booster working in the background to optimize settings for peak performance, the Galaxy S20 offers a powerful gaming experience.

Experience Endless Possibilities

As our latest flagship device, the Galaxy S20 series features the premium technologies that Galaxy fans have come to know and expect. The most secure device Samsung has ever made, the Galaxy S20 is protected by Knox—the industry-leading mobile security platform that protects the device from the chip level through to the software level. The Galaxy S20 also features a new, secure processor which protects against hardware-based attacks.

Powered by a big, intelligent battery, the Galaxy S20 series comes with a 25W fast charger, while the S20 Ultra supports 45W Super Fast charging as well.8 The entire series is equipped with massive storage as standard (128GB for S20; 128GB, 256GB and 512GB for Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra).9

With Galaxy S20, you can also experience Samsung’s cleanest, simplest, most intuitive interface yet with One UI 2. You can also use the Galaxy S20 to control your smart home with SmartThings, achieve your health and wellness goals with Samsung Health, pay on the go with Samsung Pay, and more.10

Galaxy Buds+

And with Samsung Galaxy Buds+, you can immerse yourself in your favorite music and podcasts. Sound by AKG, Buds+ feature 2-way speakers; 3 mics for unparalleled sound and voice quality; and an incredibly long battery life—up to 11 hours from Buds+ and an extra 11 hours in the case.11 Buds+ app, ‘Galaxy Buds+’, is now iOS compatible, so you can enjoy a great audio experience no matter which device you use.12 And with the Spotify partnership, listen to the tunes and podcasts you love more easily by hitting play with a single press.13

Galaxy S20 Availability

Starting on March 6, 2020, the Galaxy S20 series will be available in various, classic colors.14
