Improved Access

The new award-winning mobile digital radiography GM85 offers an ultimate driving experience, and the CereTom® is utilized in a wide range of market applications such as mobile stroke units:

• GM85’s compact design & optimized workflow: Winning the 2017 iF Design Award, the GM85 equips with a slim, ergonomic design which allows easy access around tight spaces, even in elevators by its 555mm narrow width and about 40% lighter weight (at 349kg) than previous models. • RS80A with Prestige’s latest key features: The CEUS+, Samsung’s latest contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging provides superb resolution and improved uniformity with new transmit technology. It improves the diagnosis of small lesions through clear expression of tissue boundaries and assists users achieve easier and more accurate interventional procedures. The S-Detect for Breast helps radiologists understand characteristics of breast lesions to determine whether they’re malignant or benign in a few clicks with improved accuracy.

By collaborating with Henry Schein, Inc., the world’s largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health, and medical practitioners, Samsung Electronics today announced that it is entering the world’s largest pet market which is estimated to almost 63 billion USD in 2016¹.

Samsung Electronics displayed the PT10V, its point-of-care (PoC) blood analyzer, for the first time this week at the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) Conference in Orlando, Florida. At the beginning of the conference, the NAVC announced that it selected the PT10V as one of the conference’s “must see” products this year among new products from 700 companies.

The PT10V delivers ‘C’ompact design, high ‘A’ccessibility, ‘R’eliability and ‘E’asy-to-use operation, which each attribute’s first letters reflect its vision to provide proper ‘CARE’ for life-time companions. The PT10V can test up to 13 parameters at once, including liver profile, kidney profile, and metabolic disorders and deliver the result within 10 minutes. Test results can be sent to various IT devices through an application in smartphones and tablet PCs.

Also with using micro-fluidic technology, successfully commercialized through Samsung’s world’s best DNA and its capability in manufacturing technology and process control, tests can be performed with only 70μL of serum or plasma. The report inferred the basis of the possible sale that the Head of Health & Medical Equipment Business used to take the CEO role of Samsung Medison but the CEO post has been vacant.

The President of Health & Medical Equipment Business of Samsung Electronics, Mr. Dong Soo Jun, is currently overseeing the business of Samsung Medison and expected to be an official CEO of Samsung Medison through a legitimate process at the general shareholders’ meeting and board meeting.
