What does TV mean to you? For decades, the television on its own was mainly used to watch broadcast content. Since the introduction of the Samsung Smart TV in 2008, however, the television has been transformed into a tool used to interact with the world. Earlier models of Samsung Smart TV allowed users to access web information, share photos and connect with family and friends through their social media accounts. Then came the inclusion of Video on Demand and Smart Hub, which gives viewers even more entertainment options. Users can now enjoy a variety of content with improved convenience. Let’s trace the history of Samsung’s TVs, from 2008’s PAVV Bordeaux TV 750 to the 2015 Samsung SUHD TV.

One of the things BK Yoon said was, “In five years, all Samsung hardware will be IoT devices.”

So what does this mean, all Samsung hardware? We flipped through the pages of the Samsung history book and listed the key ‘things’.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t list all of them as there were just too many products, but the image below will give you a solid idea of the magnitude of Samsung’s product portfolio and history and its readiness for IoT. Click on the image to see it full size.
