Elegant Designs for Every Style and Space

The full lineup is comprised of nine versatile monitors to meet the needs and styles of a wide range of users. The M8, M7 and M5 Smart Monitors come in a variety of colors and sizes. The M8 and M7 models are available in 32-inches, while the M5 model is available in both 32- and 27-inches. The M8 with UHD resolution and 400nit brightness is available in Warm White, Daylight Blue, Sunset Pink and Spring Green options. The M7 with UHD resolution and 300nit brightness comes in Warm White while the M5 with Full HD resolution comes in a sleek Black or White.

Introduced with a new Iconic Slim Design, the M8 and M7 models are super slim, measuring 11.39mm at the thinnest point on the monitor. To elevate the look of the monitor and the room surrounding it, an organic, chic herringbone pattern has been applied to the back of both the M8 and M7 models. The height-adjustable stand with tilt support helps M8 users adjust the angle whenever they need to, while creating a clutter-free environment. The screen can also pivot 90 degrees to reduce the fatigue of scrolling down long files.

Monitors That Redefine Smart Entertainment

The 2023 Smart Monitor M8 has received multiple upgrades and feature enhancements from the previous generation. Thanks to 4K resolution, HDR 10+² and 400nit brightness, the M8 delivers brilliant, vivid pictures to offer the best of smart entertainment in a monitor. M8 users can enjoy easy access to Samsung Gaming Hub,³ the all-in-one streaming platform, as well as Smart Hub for services such as Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube. Both the M8 and M7 also support color coverage up to 99% sRGB color gamut to bring all content to life in brilliant color for designers and creators.

Upgraded Monitors for Maximum Productivity

The 2023 lineup has been enhanced to make remote work seamless and effortless. The PC-less workspace allows remote access by wirelessly connecting to and mirroring PCs. The M8 has a magnetic and removable camera so users can connect wirelessly with no additional purchase necessary. Its SlimFit camera⁴ supports FHD resolution and video conferencing features. Additionally, Multi View has been upgraded and now allows you to use Microsoft 365 and the Browser app in full-screen mode to reduce switching between apps.⁵

To enhance the interface of all the 2023 Smart Monitors, mouse and keyboard control functionalities have been added to many apps, including SmartThings and Smart Hub. Users can now maintain full control, while exploring their favorite content without needing a remote.

Next-Level Monitors With New Personalized Features

Users can easily control all their in-home IoT devices from a single monitor thanks to the built-in IoT Hub, supporting Zigbee and Thread.⁶ The M8 and M7 both include built-in voice assistants, including Bixby and Amazon Alexa,⁷ enabling users to control the monitor with their voice. Far-field voice is also supported in the M8 and M7 models with a built-in mic, allowing users to speak directly to the monitor.

The new My Contents feature, now available across the 2023 Smart Monitor lineup, allows users to quickly access helpful information. When the monitor is on standby mode and detects a registered smartphone through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the screen lights up with the user’s photos, weather and more at a glance. The monitor resumes standby mode when the smartphone is out of range.

Samsung Electronics today announced that the accumulated sales of its Smart Monitor series surpassed one million devices globally, making it a million seller.

The new do-it-all screens support Smart Hub, providing a perfect home office and schooling environment without the need to connect to a PC or any other external device. In addition, the monitor allows users to enjoy a variety of OTT services¹ such as Netflix, Samsung TV Plus and YouTube.

On the back of the popularity of its first Smart Monitor launched at the end of 2020, Samsung has enhanced its lineup this year. Now, Samsung offers 11 premium Smart Monitors including the M8, M7 and M5.

In particular, the versatile new M8 features Samsung’s iconic slim design and comes in four, eye-catching new colors — Warm White, Sunset Pink, Daylight Blue and Spring Green. The stylish design of the M8 blends well into any surrounding, satisfying a range of different consumer requirements.

In addition, the M8’s removable SlimFit Cam, video conferencing solution app and other innovative display technologies are major drivers of its popularity, as people adapt to new lifestyles — such as working from home and home schooling.

The Smart Monitor M8 earned CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree from the CTA(Consumer Technology Association) in recognition of a wide array of its display technologies. Samsung started taking preorders for the M8 in the U.S., Germany, France and many other countries on March 28, 2022. Preorders for the product exceeded the company’s expectations, reflecting the product’s popularity across the world. In the first quarter, sales of the Smart Monitor series, including the preorder sales of the M8, increased by approximately 40% compared to the same period of last year.

Samsung Electronics today announced the global availability of its newly expanded Smart Monitor lineup, providing more display sizes and design options, along with new and enhanced smart features. The lineup now includes a larger 43-inch M7 (UHD resolution) model, delivering enhanced productivity and an immersive entertainment experience. The latest additions to Samsung’s Smart Monitor series include:

• Smart Monitor M7 43” (Model: M70A) – As the flagship model, the Smart Monitor M7 now comes in a larger 43-inch size that maximizes productivity and enhances entertainment, wrapped in a borderless design that delivers an immersive experience whether working, learning or playing. Featuring a 4K Ultra-High Definition (UHD) display, the 43-inch M7 can seamlessly switch functionalities, moving from a reliable work device to an instant 4K entertainment hub with built-in content streaming apps, speakers and HDR10 capabilities to optimize every detail of 4K content.

• Smart Monitor M5 27” and 32” in White (Model: M50A) – The popular M5 model now comes in a sleek and stylish white design for both its 27- and 32-inch models. The new color blends in perfectly with minimalist-inspired designs and adds a finishing touch to any interior aesthetic, making it ideal to complement a design-conscious user’s home.

• Smart Monitor M5 24” (Model: M50A) – The M5 range now also comes in a new 24-inch Full HD form factor, making it the most accessible Smart Monitor in terms of size and pricing. The Smart Monitor’s compact sizing makes it ideal for those who may not have the desk space for a larger monitor or for customers simply looking for a good value multi-functional monitor.

Alongside the new size and design options, Samsung is unveiling a range of new features. TV Plus² provides a variety of 100% free live and on-demand content with no downloads or sign-up required. Meanwhile, Universal Guide³ offers content recommendations based on an analysis of the user’s preferences and viewing patterns, ensuring fully personalized suggestions on popular apps such as Netflix, Prime Video and more.

The voice assistant has been upgraded from previous models to enable not only Bixby, but also other voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The Remote Access feature will also be updated to ‘PC on Screen’ in June, enabling simple and secure connectivity between the Smart Monitor and external PCs for improved usability.

As part of Samsung’s long-term sustainability program, the M7 43-inch includes an all-in-one solar-powered remote made from recycled plastic, delivering eco-friendly efficiency with charging from indoor sunlight, lightbulbs, or a USB-C connection. In addition, the remote for other models has been partially crafted from recycled plastic for reduced carbon footprint and enhanced sustainability.

Utilizing the same features as the first-generation lineup, the Samsung Smart Monitor lineup provides numerous connectivity options for both PCs and smartphones. Users can connect their personal mobile devices with just a quick tap using Tap View,⁴ Mirroring or with Apple AirPlay 2. In addition, Samsung DeX allows users to enjoy a complete desktop experience by connecting their monitor with their mobile device. The display also supports Microsoft 365 applications,⁵ enabling users to view and edit documents and conveniently save them on the cloud even without PC connection, thanks to embedded Wi-Fi. For a clean workplace setup, the Smart Monitor offers plenty of ports, including a USB Type-C port,⁶ USB ports and Bluetooth 4.2 capabilities.
