Staff and volunteers, the backbone of Games-time operations, kept the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 running with a collection of nearly 15,000 Galaxy devices — including more than 7,100 Galaxy smartphones, 2,500 Galaxy Tab series tablets and 5,200 Galaxy Book series laptops. The Galaxy ecosystem’s seamless integration helped deliver a smooth experience for athletes and fans in attendance.

Closer Than Ever: A New View of All the Action With 250+ Smartphones, 360 Days of Testing and Over 100 Experts

Samsung opened the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 to millions of fans watching from around the world. In collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS), more than 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones were installed on the boats used in the Olympic Games opening ceremony on the Seine River and the sailing competition in Marseille. Footage was transmitted by Orange through a newly installed, private 5G network and brought fans closer to the excitement.

Athletes and fans enjoyed Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung pop-up experiences across Paris (Champs-Elysees 125, Square Marigny and Village Plaza) in record numbers. More than 380,000 visitors experienced the latest Galaxy innovations firsthand and learned how Samsung’s technology evolved with the Olympics for almost four decades.

Fans got a chance to meet their heroes with surprise drop-ins from some Team Samsung Galaxy athletes at Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung l Square Marigny and inspiring “Chats with Team Samsung Galaxy” sessions at Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung l Champs-Elysees 125.

As for athletes, they were able to bask in the Olympic spirit at the Samsung experience pop-up space at the Olympic and Paralympic Village, discover how the latest Galaxy AI on their Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition could help them make the most of their Paris 2024 experience, and indulge in the iconic pin trading tradition, as some of the lifelong memories they will take home with them.

A New Spin on Tradition: More Than 350,000 Samsung Olympic Games Pins Distributed to Fans and Athletes

Samsung Olympic Games Pins truly took over the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung pop-up experiences as fans of all ages traded pins with one another and took part in a historic tradition. A testament of the amazing spirit of unity that took over the City of Lights this summer, the joy witnessed was truly heartwarming as fans collected keepsakes that will forever remind them of these Games wide open with Galaxy.

Aligned with this vision, Samsung Electronics provided nearly 5,000 Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition smartphones to all athletes participating in the Paralympic Games to further enrich the unforgettable experience of a “Games Wide Open.” The new device is packed with a full suite of useful pre-loaded apps and is enhanced with Galaxy AI and accessibility features that demonstrate Samsung’s belief in the power of technology to create a more inclusive world.

During the Paralympic Games, Samsung invited athletes to the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza pop-up experience to show them the latest Galaxy AI and accessibility features – and how the features can open and enhance their Games-time experience, as well as their daily lives, like never before.

More Open Communication With Interpreter

Athletes had the chance to test out Interpreter, which breaks down language barriers through real-time translations powered by Galaxy AI. A key feature when traveling or, in this case, meeting and engaging with fellow athletes from around the world, Interpreter has been helping everyone at Paris 2024 communicate with ease.

After attending a workshop with Samsung’s product specialists, Wesley Kimeli Sang (Para Athletics, Kenya) contemplated how Interpreter would allow him to better connect with other athletes during his time in Paris and beyond. “Interpreter can help us in many ways because sometimes we cannot communicate with other athletes. For example, some speak Arabic and others speak French,” Kimeli Sang said. “But this is very good for communication because we can speak fluently in our own language, and they can understand in their native languages.”

 A New Perspective With Bixby Vision for Accessibility

Athletes also learned more about Bixby Vision for accessibility, which helps visually impaired users experience the world around them by verbally describing what it sees. The feature has several accessibility subfeatures including Scene Describer, which describes captured or downloaded images and Object Identifier, which detects and identifies specific objects right in front of users. Text Reader, meanwhile, recognizes and reads out text. Color Detector, another subfeature, identifies and reads out colors present in users’ surrounding areas.

One athlete Bixby Vision impressed in particular was Kada Boualia (Goalball, France). Goalball is a team sport designed for the visually impaired, and Boualia knows firsthand how significant Bixby Vision’s functions are. “It’s going to be an incredible help for people with low vision because it will describe the environment,” Boualia said. “We used to have to go through an online app but it’s great that this phone already has this feature on it.”

“The accessibility world is adapting, and it is getting easier for individuals with visual impairments,” said Evan Molloy (Para Judo, Great Britain). “For people with visual impairments, to be able to use devices and not having to ask people to read things is really important.”

Epic Moments, Shared With Galaxy

At the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza, athletes used the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition’s Flex Mode to capture special moments and share them with their friends and teammates. The Paralympians tried out various photography methods such as ‘Show Palm’ or voice commands to capture selfies more conveniently and share them with friends to make Paris 2024 an unforgettable experience.

When Team Samsung Galaxy’s Desirée Vila (Para Athletics, Spain) came to visit the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza, she was keen to try out new and efficient ways of capturing and sharing photos with friends at the Selfie Zone. “Especially for group pictures, I’m always the one using the phone or setting the timer and I’m not very fast with these prosthetics,” Vila said. “So for me, it’s really convenient to be able to just stay put without having to run and take the picture.”

A Tour of Paris With Galaxy AI

In other demonstrations, athletes used Galaxy AI’s Circle to Search and Browsing Assist features to uncover hidden gems in Paris and make the most of their time in the host city. Also supporting them were key accessibility features such as Magnification, which enhances readability for those with low vision through screen zoom.

During his visit to the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza, Martin Clobert (Paralympic Marathon, Belgium) highlighted how accessibility features can support daily life for individuals with visual impairments. “I think for me, as I am visually impaired, technology is important. I can’t see small details, so using Magnification makes reading, or posting something on social media easier,” Clobert explained.

For the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Samsung has been supporting its roster of Team Samsung Galaxy athletes. The team of trailblazers, who were selected due to their impact on and off the field of play, includes French blind footballer and Olympic Torchbearer Yvan Wouandji and Paralympians Johannes Floors (para athletics, Germany), Madison De Rozario (para athletics, Australia), Ugo Didier (para swimming, France), Hee-jin Kim (goalball, Korea), Kadeena Cox (para cycling and para athletics, Great Britain) and Desirée Vila (para athletics, Spain). Fans across Paris — who have been lining up at Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung at Champs-Elysees 125 and Square Marigny to experience the latest Galaxy devices — agree as well.

“I can see how helpful the translation feature would be,” said Josefine Christoffersen, a visitor from Sweden who speaks Swedish and English. Since arriving on Saturday, she has enjoyed meeting people from all over the world at her first visit to the Olympic Games.

So far, Christoffersen has cheered on her favorite athletes while watching athletics, beach volleyball and handball. On Tuesday, she tried her hand at the Samsung Olympic Games Pin Master Challenge at Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Square Marigny.

Siqi Chen, a student from China, has been living in France for five years. She visited Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 to check out the latest Galaxy AI innovations.

“Since moving to France, I’ve been traveling all around Europe and visiting lots of other countries,” said Chen who speaks Chinese, English and French. “Interpreter is very helpful and convenient in these moments — when I visit Spain, for example, I can speak Spanish using Galaxy AI!”

Kenny Goma, a Samsung promoter at Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125, has been engaging with fans and visitors from around the world. Originally from Martinique, he has been living in Paris for 12 years and working at the pop-up experience since it opened in early May.

“People have been impressed when I show them the cover screen,” said Goma. “Even if it’s hard for them to hear, they can read the translation on the screen which is so helpful. They don’t even have to be connected to the network. They immediately recognize the impact, and it’s one of the most popular features here at the pop-up experience.”

The benefits of Galaxy AI are making a difference for the thousands of volunteers who are helping ensure the Paris 2024 Olympics is a smooth and fun experience for all. Emmanuel Mantilla Jr. from the Philippines has been in Paris since July 25 to volunteer at the Olympic Games for the first time.

“My first few days here were a little overwhelming because even though I speak several languages, I don’t speak French,” said Mantilla Jr. who has been stationed at Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. “People thought maybe I couldn’t help them.”

“But Interpreter has been so helpful — not only for communicating with visitors but also with my fellow volunteers. I’ve been using the feature on my Galaxy S24 Ultra with many of the French colleagues in my volunteer group, and we all love it,” he added.

Now, they can celebrate together — whether at the Olympic Games or in everyday life.”

The Paris 2024 Olympics isn’t just about competition — it’s about celebrating humanity and bringing the world together. Samsung is making this Olympic experience truly unforgettable through connections that are stronger and more seamless than ever.

Samsung Electronics put a new spin on a long-standing tradition at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 with the Samsung Olympic Games Pin Masters Challenge, one of many ways the company is opening the Olympic Games experience to all.

Fans are invited to join several Galaxy AI-powered challenges at the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung pop-up experiences across Paris (Champs-Elysees 125, Square Marigny and Village Plaza) for a chance to collect 16 specially created pins — including the extremely rare Golden Pin — and become a Samsung Olympic Games Pin Master.

Made from recycled aluminum from Galaxy smartphones, the 16 innovative and highly collectible Samsung Olympic Games Pins were designed by French illustrator Jean André. Eleven Classic Pins represent four Olympic sports — breaking, skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing — and four Paralympic sports — blind football, para athletics, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis. In addition, there are four Special Pins with three-dimensional Parisian landmarks and the Golden Pin.

Each Samsung Olympic Games Pin Master who collects all 16 pins will receive a new Galaxy Z Flip6 and a chance to win a round-trip package for two to attend the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics.

Samsung Newsroom interviewed four Samsung Olympic Games Pin Masters of Paris 2024, 8-year-old Ben Choi visiting from the United States, 12-year-old Thomas Tamarelle and 13-year-old Noahm from France.

Choi, from California, achieved this feat at his first-ever Olympic Games — but it’s not the first for his family. Changhwan Kim, Choi’s great-grandfather, competed at the Olympic Games Tokyo 1964 as the first Olympic fencer from South Korea. Ari Kim, Choi’s mother, attended the Olympic Games Seoul 1988 when she was six.

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 marks Choi’s first time collecting pins. His goal was to take home the new Galaxy Z Flip6 — a mission the young boy accomplished by becoming a Samsung Olympic Games Pin Master.

“I’m really excited,” said Choi. “The challenges were fun, especially the skateboarding game and the AI drawing workshop. The Golden Pin is my favorite.”

As he and his family enjoy the archery, handball, fencing and swimming competitions during the remainder of the Olympic Games in Paris, Choi hopes to collect more pins — “if my mom lets me!”

Thomas also got lucky during his first Olympic Games which he attended with his dad. He began collecting pins for the first time because he “really enjoyed the different games and challenges at the Samsung pop-up experience.”

Winning the Galaxy Z Flip6 was an unexpected bonus.

“I am excited about my new Galaxy Z Flip6 because it flips,” said Thomas. “I also love the Sketch to image feature.”

As for Noahm, who visited the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung three days in a row to collect all the pins, it’s a whole family affair. Noahm might be the first to complete the challenge, but they certainly don’t intend to stop there. “Leyna and dad are next!” If she wins, Leyna hopes to keep her new Galaxy Z Flip6 for when she grows up, and plans to lend it to her grandpa.

How did Noahm reach that goal in such a short amount of time? By trading of course. “I met this person who had just won the last pin I was missing, the Arc de Triomphe, and asked her if I could trade it for 10 of mine.” Smart move.

The Samsung Olympic Games Pin Master Challenge will continue in Paris through September 8.

Highlighting Samsung’s latest technology and Olympic activations, Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza is a space for Team Samsung Galaxy members to create lifelong memories with friends and fellow competitors.

Through the “Travel with Galaxy AI” program, athletes from different countries communicated easily with one another and fans around the world using Galaxy AI’s translation features. Meanwhile, Galaxy AI helped the athletes create perfect portraits by resizing, repositioning and removing unwanted objects from pictures on their new Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition.  In addition, the athletes traded Samsung Olympic Games pins collected by participating in various missions and quizzes.

“I had so much fun making memories with the Team Samsung Galaxy members inside this space and using Galaxy AI features to communicate in new ways,” said Jagger Eaton.

“Meeting my fellow Team Samsung Galaxy members and communicating without language barriers thanks to Galaxy AI was amazing,” said Yu-bin Shin. “I loved making memories with them during the Olympic Games in Paris.”

Samsung Newsroom spoke with Leal, bronze medalist in the Women’s Street Skateboarding competition, and Eaton, silver medalist in the Men’s Street Skateboarding competition, to revisit some of the ups and downs on their journey to the Olympics and learn how Galaxy was a key part of their experience.

Q. How do you feel seeing street skateboarding represented on a stage as iconic as the Olympics?

Leal: For us skaters, it was very emotional. Seeing the beginning of skateboarding in the Olympics is very cool, and I hope the sport grows even bigger. The Olympics are an important chapter in our story, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. The skateboarding scene had a huge evolution — and the level this time was so much higher than the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. I am especially proud of all the female skateboarders and thankful for everyone who made this happen.

Eaton: The Olympic Games bring any sport to new heights. It’s amazing for people, especially young kids, to see the creativity, discipline, fear and beauty of skateboarding. If there is one thing I hope that anyone takes away from watching skateboarding on such a big stage, it is to buy a skateboard.

Q. What was the biggest highlight and challenge faced during your competition?

Eaton: Oh my goodness! My biggest downfall was missing the final for the park skateboarding competition by one spot in the 2024 Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest. That was really hard. My biggest highlight was making a nollie 270 switch backside noseblunt in the street skateboarding competition at Paris 2024 that I’ve never made in my entire life.

Q. What was going through your mind during the competition?

Leal: Man, I was nervous and afraid of not doing well. Yet, I was proud of myself for making it to the final. My tricks and family were on my mind — but the crowd was what moved me the most.

Q. What is your favorite feature in the new Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition given to all athletes competing at Paris 2024?

Leal: The Auto Zoom feature is awesome. I’ve been having a blast making several social media posts in my room. This feature will help skaters and content creators since we can skate, make videos and take selfies with perfect framing.

Eaton: I love how compact the Galaxy Z Flip6 is. I was worried about having a big phone in my pocket because I knew I would be skating in gym shorts. With the Galaxy Z Flip6, I could just pop it in my pocket and go.

Q. What were you listening to with Galaxy during the competition?

Leal: While I have a lot of songs on my playlist, I choose my music depending on the situation. In the semifinals, I listened to Brazilian trap and rap to give me energy. During the finals, I listened to relaxing music to calm my nerves.

Q. Any words for fellow Team Samsung Galaxy athletes who are still competing?

Leal: Go all out! We know it’s all or nothing, so this is our chance. If we want it, we can do it! Breathe and stay calm because despite everything, we worked hard to get here. Being here is already a victory, so take it easy! I’d also like to say something to Sky Brown from Great Britain — I know a lot of thoughts must be going through your head right now. Just take a deep breath before the first trick and go for it.

Eaton: As Team Samsung Galaxy athletes, we all understand how important it is to never give up — no matter how often we want to throw in the towel.

Q. What do you hope fans take away from your Paris 2024 journey?

Leal: I hope they felt my determination. Even though we sometimes think things are not going well, one moment makes all the difference. Smile, have fun and do what you love. Everyone should remember there’s a first time for everything.

Eaton: Never give up, and never stop trying. It’s so easy to give up when you’re going for an insane goal like an Olympic gold medal. But as much as a gold medal matters, the journey itself is priceless. You will wish to do it all over again.

Samsung has once again collaborated with award-winning architect Jean Nouvel, who also designed the façade of the Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 space, on the new Square Marigny site, which spans from the famed Champs-Elysees to Place de la Concorde. Located near some of Paris’ most iconic landmarks and the open arena where the highly anticipated breaking and skateboarding competitions will be held, the space boasts a striking glass façade that uses colors and angles to pique visitors’ curiosity and give them a glimpse of the open, light-filled space in which they can enjoy Samsung’s most immersive pop-up experience yet. The multi-media façade will also display images of athletes from across the globe to celebrate the unifying power of sport with Samsung Galaxy.

Embark on a Visual Journey Through Samsung’s Olympic Heritage

Upon entry, visitors can learn more about how Samsung has been supporting the Olympic Games for almost four decades, following the brand’s journey to becoming a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, and the role that its technology has played in evolving and enhancing the Games. They will also be able to get up close to every Olympic Edition phones to date, including the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition for Paris 2024 and look back at some Olympic Torches dating back to Athens 2004.

Focusing on the present, the new Square Marigny site will house the Openness Monument — a spherical screen, resembling planet Earth — that sits at the center of the space. With the help of the official Paris 2024 mascots, the Phryges, it will display hero footage of skateboarding, breaking and surfing — three of the Games’ newest sports — in addition to Samsung’s central message for Paris 2024, “Open always wins,” and will be viewable from every angle.

Visitors will also have the chance to delve into Samsung’s latest smartphone technology and explore new ways to create and communicate, with Galaxy AI. They will get a chance to try out Samsung’s latest mobile innovations including the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, and experience fan favorite features that can help with everything from devising seamless Paris travel plans to taking the perfect shot.

Opening Up the Olympic Spirit

Visitors can also join in the celebrated Olympic tradition of pin trading through Samsung’s exclusive Olympic Pin promotion. Visitors who take part in the Galaxy AI experience or purchase any of Galaxy family products will receive a Samsung Paris 2024 Olympic Pin.

A bespoke foldable wall, created from 171 reused Galaxy Z Fold5 devices, will also display a series of breaking, skateboarding and surfing videos. Using kinetic production techniques, the screen will pulsate, creating a captivating and dynamic experience for everyone to enjoy.

The Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Square Marigny will host a series of special events over the course of the summer and will be open to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. It will be open 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. from July 27 – August 11 for the Olympic Games and August 29 – September 8 for the Paralympic Games.

Marked by a bold blue entrance with graphic designs, Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 attracts attention from passersby. The big, luminous space showcases the newest Galaxy mobile products including the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.

“Of the new Galaxy products here, I’m interested in the Galaxy Z Flip6,” said Maya Carrara, a local in Paris. “I’m excited to spend time with friends by drawing images together using Sketch to image.”

Among the upgraded Galaxy AI features unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked 2024, Interpreter was a favorite. Visitors were fascinated by how Galaxy Z Flip6 supports simultaneous translations in FlexMode.

“I’m most excited about using Interpreter on the Galaxy Z Flip6 since the feature lets you interact with people even if you don’t speak the same language as them,” said Anna Sacko, another Paris local. “I take lots of selfies and post them on social media, so I’m looking forward to transforming them into different styles with Portrait Studio as well.”

“I visited after watching the livestream of Galaxy Unpacked 2024,” said Stanislas Breguet, an AI startup founder. “I tested the Galaxy Z Fold6, and I liked the display. The large screen will be useful for AI features like Interpreter and Sketch to image.”

“I love how this space is so interactive,” said Felix Berthold, a content creator from Germany. “I’m excited to get the Galaxy Z Flip6 since I used to have the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Flip5. Because I work with social media every day, all the photo editing AI features are super useful.”

Samsung turned heads with a display of the newly announced Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition — boasting a striking yellow colorway adorned with the Olympic rings, Paralympic agitos and Samsung logo in gold and exclusively designed for the nearly 17,000 athletes competing at the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

An exclusive Flipsuit Case is included with each device — created in collaboration with Berluti, a luxury menswear brand in the LVMH Group and local partner for Paris 2024. The Flipsuit Case is made from Venezia leather, featuring a unique patina of vibrant colors inspired by the Olympic rings.

Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, today unveiled a new art campaign created by legendary French photographer Raymond Depardon and his son, director and photographer Simon Depardon. The campaign, which is called “Olympic Games Instants Shared #withGalaxy,” is now live across the city of Paris and contains captivating imagery that offers a new perspective to the power of sport. It is one of many ways Samsung is helping to bring the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to life in the host city as the countdown to Paris 2024 continues.

As a photographer and filmmaker, Raymond Depardon has captured some of the most iconic images of the century, including portraits of the athletes in Olympic competition between 1964 and 1980. The new campaign, which was developed in collaboration between Samsung and the City of Paris, pays homage to Raymond’s renowned work and represents a passing of the torch — as Raymond’s iconic black-and-white, archival imagery is exhibited alongside new imagery from his son Simon, who focused his lens on some of the newest Olympic Games and Paralympic Games disciplines.

The series of images features Team Samsung Galaxy athletes; Sarah Bee (Breaking), Aurelien Giraud (Skateboarding), Mejdi Schalck (Sport Climbing) and Yvan Wouandji (Blind Football) and is currently being showcased at nine iconic Parisian landmarks and city sites including Rue du Louvre, Pont de la Concorde and Rue des Pyramides, until early September 2024.

“I was thrilled to participate in this project because it is the first time ever that my photos are being displayed alongside my father’s,” said Simon Depardon. “The artwork not only features four incredible French athletes playing their sports, but also I wanted to show each athlete’s human character by taking portraits of them at the same time,” Depardon added. “The performance capabilities of the Galaxy S24 are outstanding and opened up so many opportunities for us to create something that fits in artistically with the city.”

From June 24 through September 8, 2024, fans are invited to participate in the campaign by sharing messages of support for Team Samsung Galaxy via a QR code featured on each image. The messages will be shown at Samsung’s Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 and Village Plaza, Samsung’s athlete lounge within the Olympic and Paralympic Village, during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

An Iconic Space Created by Starchitect Jean Nouvel

To create this experience space, Samsung worked with Jean Nouvel — whose groundbreaking work mirrors the remarkable spirit of Olympic and Paralympic athletes, constantly pushing boundaries of what’s possible. Inspired by Parisian salons from the Age of Enlightenment, the showcase celebrates new perspectives and possibilities. Designed with openness, harmony and connection in mind, the space is embellished with black and blue — capturing reflections of light that fleetingly appear and disappear to pique the curiosity of visitors.

Get Your Hands on the Latest Innovation on Galaxy S24 Series

Attendees can travel through themed experiential spaces where they can test out the latest AI features on Galaxy devices, which can be used to navigate around Paris and find hidden gems without worrying about any language barriers.

At an interactive Paris-themed photo zone, guests can shoot and edit photos to remove objects and reflections.

Celebrating the Olympic Games’ Newest Sports

To celebrate some of the latest sports that will take the stage at Paris 2024, guests can step into the shoes of Olympians for a day and enjoy a mobile skateboarding game or an epic breaking experience with FlexCam on Galaxy Z Flip5.

Celebrate the Games With Galaxy

At the showcase, visitors can check out the Olympic spirit with Paris 2024-themed Galaxy smartphone cases and even download Samsung Galaxy X Paris 2024 The Phryges Themes to customize their phones. Lastly, attendees can create custom phone straps made from discarded fishing nets to unleash their creativity and celebrate the Games in Galaxy style.

With less than 100 days to go until Paris 2024, Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, officially kicked-off its ‘Open always wins’ campaign — which celebrates the brand’s shared values of openness with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games — and announced the grand opening of its Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 showcase.

As announced in January, Samsung’s ‘Open always wins’ message articulates the brand’s belief that openness enables new perspectives and infinite possibilities and will serve as the heart of its Paris 2024 programming. The new campaign, which debuted today, brings ‘Open always wins’ to life through the stories of Team Samsung Galaxy skateboarder Aurélien Giraud (France), Para sprinter Johannes Floors (Germany) and breakdancer Sarah Bee (France) and demonstrates how being open enables you to do extraordinary things.

Samsung also unveiled a brand new showcase, Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125, which will take Olympic and Paralympic Games fans on an epic journey to Paris 2024 through iconic experiences. They will get to relive the biggest highlights of Games past with Galaxy, and explore Samsung’s latest innovations and create lifelong memories with Galaxy AI.

In creating this showcase, Samsung collaborated with the visionary Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel whose groundbreaking work mirrors the remarkable spirit of Olympic and Paralympic athletes, constantly pushing boundaries and redefining possibilities. Inspired by Parisian Salons from the Age of Enlightenment, the space is designed to celebrate openness to new perspectives and possibilities through reflections and optical illusions that evoke feelings of openness, harmony and connection.

“The entire space is designed to celebrate Samsung’s commitment to openness,” said Jean Nouvel. “The abstract graphic façade captures the reflections of movements and lights that appear and disappear in an instant, while the matte, reflective white mirrors in the lobby invite discovery of latest innovations.”

The Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung | Champs-Elysees 125 was inaugurated with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by TM Roh, Team Samsung Galaxy ambassadors including French surfer Joanne Defay, UK breakdancer Karam Singh and French Para-swimmer Ugo Didier; Anne-Sophie Voumard, Television and Marketing Services Managing Director for the IOC, Pierre Rabadan, Deputy Mayor in charge of Sport, Olympic and Paralympic Games for the City of Paris and Étienne Thobois, Director General of the Paris Organizing Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung, located at 125 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, will open its doors to the public on May 3 and run until October 31, from 10:00am-20:00pm Monday-Saturday and 11:00am-20:00pm on Sundays. It will host a series of special events over the course of the summer and will be open to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

In addition to the showcase located at Champs-Élysées, Samsung will open up additional Olympic rendezvous @ Samsung spaces around the city of lights and its surroundings, including the Olympic Park, the Olympic & Paralympic Village and the Main Press Centre, as well as Samsung Galaxy Charging Stations at key Olympic and Paralympic Games venues, where visitors will get to experience the latest Galaxy innovations.
