Samsung Electronics today announced a partnership with Electronic Arts (EA) and Xbox to bring the action of EA SPORTS FC^TM 25 to Samsung Gaming Hub. Samsung TV and monitor owners can now play EA SPORTS FC 25 through the Xbox app with Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)¹ on supported devices.² All players need to get started is a compatible controller and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes EA Play.

As a special promotion, new Xbox Game Pass subscribers can receive a two-month Ultimate Game Pass subscription.³ The offer is available to both existing Samsung TV owners and those who buy a new, qualifying TV. To redeem, users can simply download the Samsung Promotions app on their Samsung TV, click the Xbox promotion banner or scan the QR code with their mobile device, and then follow the steps on the screen to activate their offer.

From today until January 31 of next year, visitors will be able to enjoy a completely immersive experience using the Odyssey Ark, the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen, at Selfridges. The display will feature a racing game simulator using three connected Odyssey Arks. The three curved gaming screens wrap around the user’s field of vision, placing the user in the center of the action as they are fully immersed in the exciting gameplay.

The Odyssey Ark delivers a cinematic gaming experience thanks to its unique, curved screen, high performance 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time (GtG) and crisp 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution. Users can further customize their gaming experience using Flex Move Screen, which allows users to adjust screen size between 55- and 27-inches, change the screen position and even switch the screen ratio between 16:9, 21:9 and 32:9 — all with a simple touch of Ark Dial. This freedom is not only horizontal but also vertical position (Cockpit mode), giving users even more control of the viewing experience.

The Odyssey Ark also comes equipped with Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Technology that uses Quantum Mini LEDs to enable ultra-fine and precise control of the densely packed LEDs, along with 14-bit processing, which provides stunning, ultra-realistic graphics.

Samsung continues to lead innovation in Smart TV technology, driven by the goal of providing more and increasingly better entertainment options for consumers. As a result, the company decided to explore new gaming features that could be enjoyed specifically on Samsung Smart TVs.

In 2018, Samsung broke new ground by becoming the first in the industry to implement Auto Game Mode on TVs. Hwang recommends “It Takes Two,” a game where the main characters, Cody and May, work as a couple and try to escape a fantasy world and return to Rose, their daughter. “The storyline has to do with family, and it’s also not so difficult to play either,” said Hwang. “It’s a fun game to play with family members who are new to video games.”

For solo players, Jay Park recommends “Forza Horizon 5,” a racing game chosen by more than 10 million gamers. “The game takes place in Mexico, so it’s great for enjoying the natural scenery abroad. You can also play with expensive cars without worrying about taking care of them, so it’s quite cathartic,” said Park. “I’ve played this game while testing the Gaming Hub, and the time just flew by. I was so drawn into the experience.”
