The 2026 Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioners harness advanced AI-driven innovations that analyse room conditions, usage patterns, and user preferences to deliver consistent comfort with efficiency. Samsung’s WindFree Cooling technology eliminates cold drafts by gently dispersing air through thousands of micro air holes to create an evenly-cooled environment without temperature fluctuations.

Additionally, AI Fast and WindFree Cooling+ intelligently adapts cooling based on need. When rapid cooling is required, the system activates Fast Cooling to quickly lower the room temperature. Once the desired comfort level is achieved, it transitions to WindFree or Dry Comfort mode to maintain ideal conditions while avoiding overcooling.

Using humidity sensors and smart refrigerant flow control, Dry Comfort removes excess moisture while maintaining comfortable temperatures to deliver fresh comfort even in highly humid conditions.

Samsung Newsroom explored why this advanced air conditioning technology has been so well-received by global consumers.

A recent Samsung survey² of 1,840 respondents from Brazil, India, Italy, Korea, Thailand and the United States revealed that 44.6% (820) favor WindFree air conditioning. More than half of these users (58%) selected “comfortable sleep” as their primary reason for choosing WindFree air conditioning. The results indicate that a growing number of consumers expect air conditioners to go beyond traditional cooling functions to offer options fit for any situation.

In addition, the survey showed that air conditioners are most used before and after bedtime. Nearly half (48%) of respondents use their air conditioners from 9 p.m. to bedtime, followed by 42% during sleep.

The advanced structure of air conditioners with WindFree technology allows airflow to be evenly distributed through 270,000 micro air holes.³ Once the room reaches a set temperature, the unit automatically switches to WindFree mode — gently cooling the space without the unpleasant sensation of cold air on skin — and creates optimal conditions for deep sleep.

“Energy savings compared to normal mode” was the second reason users preferred WindFree air conditioning. As energy savings gain interest in the face of climate change, the survey results indicate that WindFree technology addresses consumer demands for reduced electricity consumption.

In WindFree mode, electricity use is reduced by up to 77%⁴ compared to maximum cooling environments, offering substantial savings on electricity bills during peak summer months.

Additionally, respondents chose WindFree air conditioning to ensure “even cooling” (50%), “minimizing physical irritation” (48%) and utilize “AI automatic cooling” (44%).

WIND-FREE 2.0 SERIES

Samsung’s Wind-Free 2.0 system uses 23,000 micro-holes to gently spread air evenly throughout the room, maintaining a comfortable level of coolness without any draft. Once the desired temperature is reached, the system disperses fresh air uniformly. The design has been upgraded to rectangular from the previous triangle design and with this change the micro-holes have been increased to 23,000 from 21,000 in the previous version.

The Wind-Free 2.0 enables users to control their ACs using the Smart Home App through Wi-Fi. The ACs allow the user to remotely control the functions and schedule operations along with live feedback. Users can also monitor and limit power usage as per their needs. The latest Wind-Free ACs are equipped with Motion Detect sensors (MDS) and automatically go into an energy saving mode if it does not detect any human presence for 60 minutes. Another option which users get through this feature is to choose the wind direction.

The product comes with 10 years of warranty on the compressor and features an energy-efficient Digital Inverter, which can maintain the desired temperature without frequently shutting off and on, thus consuming less energy.
