<p>Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, has announced it will set up 15 premium experience stores across top metro cities in India by end of 2023, bringing in exciting new technology experiences for consumers and creating a benchmark in premium electronics retail in the country.</p>

<p>The new experience stores will come up at iconic locations across top metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune and Chandigarh.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>These stores will showcase Samsung’s complete product ecosystem through exciting zones such as Samsung SmartThings, Smartphones, Audio, Gaming, Lifestyle Screens, Consumer Electronics, Home Theatre and Wearables, showcasing its multi-device connectivity with <a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/apps/smartthings/">SmartThings</a>.</p>

<p>The SmartThings zone will showcase how Samsung’s connected living ecosystem can create convenience for consumers in their daily lives. This includes highlighting how a smartphone, refrigerator, AC, home theatre, TV and other devices can connect to each other and provide convenience to consumers. The SmartThings zone will also include scenarios such as Work from Home to show how a <a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/monitors/all-monitors/">Samsung monitor</a>, laptop, tab and smartphone connect to improve productivity, or how you can switch on your ACs remotely so that the your home is cooled even before you reach, or even a home kitchen experience.</p>

<p>For young gaming enthusiasts, these experience stores will have dedicated gaming zones where they can spend time on their favourite games. They can experience the power of Samsung <a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/smartphones/galaxy-s23/">Galaxy S23</a> flagship smartphones and Samsung’s premium Odyssey Ark gaming monitors as they play.</p>

<p><em>“As a brand focused on ever evolving customer&#8217;s needs, we have seen that demand for our premium products has increased with nearly two thirds of our consumers choosing a premium device at our Samsung Experience Stores. To tap into this growing consumers demand, we are setting up 15 Premium Experience Stores across India that will offer the widest portfolio of Samsung’s curated premium products as well as experiences such as our SmartThings ecosystem, Gaming, Lifestyle Screens, <strong>product customization</strong>,” </em><strong>said Mr. Sumit Walia, Senior Director, D2C Business, Samsung India.</strong></p>

<p><em>“These products and experiences will not only provide our customers with an in-person, immersive look at Samsung technology but also help them engage with the brand more meaningfully,” </em>he said.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Consumers, especially Gen Z and millennials, will have the opportunity to attend the many Galaxy Workshops and activities that will be organized at the premium experience stores as part of the Learn @ Samsung initiative. These Galaxy Workshops will be around photography, video-editing, gaming, music, coding, doodling, baking and many other topics, helping young consumers pursue shared interests as well as learn about Samsung’s innovations and how to use their smartphones and other Samsung products more efficiently.</p>

<p>At the customization counter, young consumers can have a DIY smartphone cover customization experience using stickers and other accessories.</p>

<p>Samsung’s new premium experience stores will also offer a phygital experience through Samsung’s Store+ endless aisle platform. With Store+, consumers can buy any Samsung product, from among 1,200 options across its portfolio, even if they are not available at the stores. Consumers can buy products using a Store+ digital catalogue and it is delivered directly to their home. Consumers can also access Samsung’s digital lending platform Samsung Finance+ and Samsung’s device care plan for <a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/smartphones/all-smartphones/">Galaxy smartphones</a>, tablets and smartwatches Samsung Care+ at the stores.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Consumers visiting the premium experience stores will also be able to get hassle-free after sales service for their smartphones and book service calls for their consumer electronics products at home.</p>

<p>Over 10,000 youth from across towns, cities and rural India have already registered for Samsung’s <a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/solvefortomorrow/"><strong>Solve for Tomorrow</strong></a> innovation and education program, showcasing the growing desire among Indian youth to find innovative technology solutions to solve real-world problems that will have a positive social impact on the lives of people around them.</p>

<p>At roadshows that Samsung conducted in cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar, young students said they want to solve problems around safe collection of waste for recycling, job security for daily wagers, language barriers that young students from remote areas face during e-learning, safe disposal of sanitary napkins, mental health of school students, reusing agricultural waste as well as reusing plastics.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Among the registrations, 32% of youth want to solve problems of healthcare, 28% want to tackle challenges around education, especially better learning opportunities for students, 24% focused on problems around environment while 16% want to solve issues around agriculture.</p>

<p>This will be followed by selection of the top 50 teams, who will be mentored by industry experts and others experts at IIT Delhi to help enhance their ideas, along with a boot-camp at IIT Delhi, a certificate of participation, and vouchers worth INR 100,000 for online courses in design thinking, STEM, innovation, leadership, among others.</p>

<p>Top 10 teams will get the opportunity to visit <a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/">Samsung India</a> offices and its R&amp;D centres where they will interact with young Samsung employees and researchers. They will also experience the Samsung product ecosystem at the iconic Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru.</p>

<p>Three winning teams stand a chance to get mega support of up to <strong>INR 1 crore</strong> and <strong>mentoring support</strong> for six months to turn their ideas into action under the expert guidance of <strong>IIT Delhi</strong>.</p>

<p>This initiative strengthens Samsung’s commitment towards its vision of Powering Digital India.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://www.samsung.com/in/">Samsung</a> has given fellowships to 100 undergraduate and 30 postgraduate engineering students at IIT Madras and IIT Guwahati. The fellowship will support chosen students in their projects that range from traffic estimation and dynamic control of traffic lights, anti-cancer drug research, intrusion detection system to power management for electric vehicles and liquid crystals in solar cells.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Final year engineering students, pursuing B.Tech, Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) and M.Tech/M.S. (Research), and working on a project that will lead to software or hardware products are eligible for the fellowship. Students from underprivileged backgrounds are given preference, and they must have a cumulative grade of over 6 in any branch of engineering. Samsung provides INR 6,000 per month to undergraduate and INR 25,000 per month to postgraduate students.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><em>“Samsung R&amp;D Institute India, Delhi has been working towards enhancing research and innovation among students at IITs, especially those from weaker sections of the society. Through Samsung Fellowship, we wish to empower the coming generations to utilize their capabilities for social good. We plan to expand this Fellowship to more IITs in the coming years,”</em> said <strong>Deokho Kim, Managing Director, Samsung Research &amp; Development Institute, Delhi.</strong></p>

<p>The 130 fellowships given so far have gone to undergraduate and postgraduate students from various branches of engineering including chemical, mechanical, biotechnology, electrical, ocean, CSE, engineering design, civil, metallurgical, materials and aerospace, among others.</p>

<p>Samsung Innovation Campus is the Company’s global citizenship program that aims to bridge proficiency gaps in the country by skilling students on cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, pervasive computing, data science, machine learning, AR/VR and others. Samsung currently has nine Samsung Innovation Campus at IIT-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Hyderabad, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Jodhpur NSUT, and Delhi Technological University (DTU). So far, these labs have trained over 1,000 students.</p>
