<p>A total of 750 students were certified under the programme at the two centres in Visakhapatnam this year – 500 from Vignan College and 250 from DIET College – marking another milestone in Samsung’s mission to prepare India’s youth for a technology-driven future.</p>

<h3><strong>Celebrating Samsung Innovation Campus graduates in Andhra Pradesh</strong></h3>
<p>The felicitation ceremony at Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam, was hosted on 12th December 2025 at Vignan College, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The event was graced by Chief Guests Dr. B. Ravi Kiran, MBBS &amp; ACP – Cyber Crime CID, and Dr. Sudhakar Jyothula, Principal, Vignan College, along with Mr. Saroj Apato, Vice President – Strategic Partnerships, Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI).​​</p>

<p>At Vignan College, 500 beneficiaries who had completed the course during the year were felicitated, including 250 students trained in Artificial Intelligence and 250 students trained in Coding &amp; Programming. Students received their certificates in the presence of faculty members, dignitaries, and SIC partners, celebrating their successful completion of rigorous, industry-relevant training designed to enhance their employability in emerging technology domains.​​</p>

<p>On the same day, another felicitation ceremony was held at DIET College, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guests Sri Dadi Ratnakar Garu, Chairman, DIET College and Dr. Rugada Vaikunta Rao, Principal, DIET College, together with Mr. Saroj Apato, Vice President – Strategic Partnerships, ESSCI.​​</p>

<h3><strong>Scaling future-tech skills across India</strong></h3>
<p>Samsung Innovation Campus strengthens India’s digital skilling ecosystem by training youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding &amp; Programming. Aligned with the Government of India’s Skill India and Digital India missions, the programme is being rapidly expanded to train 20,000 students across 10 states in 2025, nearly six times more than the previous year’s 3,500 students. The initiative also maintains a strong focus on inclusion, with women constituting 42% of participants nationally, reflecting Samsung’s commitment to equitable access to high-quality tech education. ​</p>

<p>Since its launch in 2021, the DOST Sales Programme has created a strong talent pipeline for India’s fast-expanding organised retail sector. With DOST Sales 4.0, which commenced this year, Samsung is doubling down on its skilling mission in partnership with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skills Council (TSSC).</p>

<h3><strong>Structured, Industry-Ready Training Pathway</strong></h3>

<p>Each trainee undergoes a 120-hour online classroom module, led by certified trainers from ESSCI and TSSC, along with 60-hour training by Samsung Retail Sales Team. The curriculum covers:</p>

<li>Customer interaction and communication</li>
<li>Sales fundamentals and retail processes</li>
<li>Product knowledge and demonstration skills</li>
<li>Store operations and service excellence</li>

<p>During the 5-month on-the-job training (OJT) at Samsung retail stores nationwide, they gain hands-on experience in customer engagement, store processes, product education, and sales conversion and receive a monthly remuneration from Samsung to support their learning and training experience.</p>

<p>After assessment, eligible candidates receive a government-recognized National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) aligned certification, enhancing their employability and opening pathways for long-term careers across India’s organised retail ecosystem.</p>

Samsung Innovation Campus, the company’s flagship CSR programme now spans 10 states, aiming to upskill 20,000 students nationwide in 2025 — a six-fold expansion over last year.</p>

<p>Nationally, the initiative has achieved 44% women participation, reflecting Samsung’s focus on inclusive and equitable skilling. In Uttar Pradesh, 5000 students would be provided training this year, which is about 25% of the national target — positioning the state as a frontrunner in driving digital empowerment and job-ready talent.</p>

<p>Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, today announced a major expansion of its flagship CSR programme, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), reaffirming its commitment to empowering India’s youth with future-ready skills while supporting the Government’s vision of Digital India and Skill India.</p>

<p>The skilling programme, will expand to 10 states this year, up from four in 2024. It will upskill 20,000 students in future-tech skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding &amp; Programming during 2025, a six-fold increase over last year&#8217;s 3,500 students. Alongside technical training, the students will also receive instruction in soft skills to enhance workplace readiness, while eligible candidates will be supported with placement assistance in relevant industries.</p>

<h3><strong>Strategic Focus on Scale and Inclusion</strong></h3>
<p>Samsung has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) to train 10,000 students in emerging technologies across Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal. A second MoU with the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) will extend the programme to another 10,000 students in Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Maharashtra.</p>

<p>A key emphasis this year will be on Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, with 5,000 students from each state set to receive training in future technologies. The initiative is designed to democratize access to future-tech skills by reaching both urban and semi-urban areas, ensuring that underserved communities are not left behind in India’s digital transformation.</p>

<p>Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), both National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)-approved entities, will implement the programme through their networks of accredited training partners and centres. Since its launch in India in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus has trained 6,500 students in future technologies.</p>
