<p>Samsung India has seen growth in overall market share across product categories and segments, especially in the premium segments of its consumer electronics business, and has grown faster than the market in 2017.</p>

<p>This is backed by product innovation, localized marketing, strong channel relationship and most importantly Samsung’s customer centric approach.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080;"><strong>Festive season rocked</strong></span></h3>
<p>Festive season is the time when most of our consumers look forward to upgrading to gadgets. Samsung’s Smart Utsav campaign during the festive season saw a growth of over 30%. What is even more heartening is the kind of growth we saw in tier 2 and tier 3 markets—of over 35%.</p>

<p>The growth has been fueled by our marketing and service investments with a special emphasis on product experience vans, digital investments, premium in-store zones and same day installation through our vast service network.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080;"><strong>‘Make for India’ innovations winning hearts of many Indians</strong></span></h3>
<p>A key element of our success in India is our ‘Make for India’ initiative, under which our R&amp;D centres in India are constantly developing India-centric innovations based on key consumer insights.</p>

<p>Our ‘Make for India’ product innovations like Joy Connect Televisions, 5-in-1 convertible refrigerators, Active-wash washing machines, and Roti and Naan Microwave Ovens have won the hearts of many Indians.</p>

<p>“Thanks to you, our partners and colleagues, we are the number one MNC in India today. We are experiencing robust growth in India. But numbers are not as important. More important thing is that we are the most trusted brand in India, loved by Indians,” said Mr. HC Hong, President &amp; CEO, Samsung Southwest Asia.</p>

<p>Ms. Hyesung Ha, SVP, Enterprise Marketing Group, Samsung Electronics said this is Samsung’s largest EBC in the world. “This is very significant for us and it is more meaningful for me personally because B2B is a journey that Samsung embarked on many many years ago and our vision continues. By 2020, which is not far from now, we want at least 30% of our business to be in B2B.”</p>

<p>Talking about Samsung’s core values, Ms Ha stressed on one of the five values, co-prosperity.</p>
