When Om Amol Vadgave received the invitation to be a part of Galaxy Unpacked 2022, his joy knew no bounds. Although this was his third time at a Samsung Unpacked event, but this evening was special. Amol’s video entry had been shortlisted for the Samsung Members Live Global Creators Awards!

“Getting nominated for a global award and getting a chance to represent Samsung India with the entire world watching was stellar for me. Then to have won the award – it is surreal,” an excited Om said after winning the top award.

Before this year’s edition of Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung Members across the globe were asked about the most cinematic thing that ever happened in their life. They responded with some mind-blowing videos and photographs. Out of hundreds of super cool entries received, six from India made the cut.

Amongst the finalists were three creators from India – Vadgave from Sangli, Maharashtra and Darshan Jaiswal from Vadodara, Gujarat were among the final contestants for the Best Video Creator Award, while Siddharth Abhishek from Patna, Bihar had his entry nominated for the Best Photo Creator category.

“There lies beauty in every small thing. Capturing videos and photos is my way of expressing myself and bringing that beauty to my audience, and I’m thankful to my Galaxy device for enabling me to do this,” Om told Samsung Newsroom.

The Samsung Members Live was hosted by Cristian, a Galaxy user and fan who also hosted the 2021 edition of Samsung Members Live Galaxy Unpacked. His co-host was Anupam Tripathi, who took the world by storm with his performance in the popular Netflix series Squid Game.

Fellow finalist Darshan was very excited to meet his favourite star from Squid Games. “I couldn’t believe it was a Squid Game star hosting us at the event. It made the Unpacked 2021 even more exciting,” said Darshan.

It was a moment of a lifetime for Siddharth, finalist in the best photo creator category. “As a freelancer, it was great to have my photo shortlisted as one of the final entries for a global award. My Galaxy device helps me explore myself through the photographs that I capture, and I feel really happy that Samsung Members empowered me to be able to make the best of this opportunity,” he said.

It was pink, and love at first sight!

For the past few months, I have started studying online using different gadgets. It’s a new and exciting experience.

When I first saw Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, for a nine-year-old school student like me, it was love at first sight.

It fitted well in my hands and was light to carry, which is very important for me. And when I saw it in my favourite colour, Pink, I just knew I had to tell dad to buy it for me!

The Tab S6 Lite comes with an S Pen. That’s the best part about it. The first thing I did was take out the S Pen and start drawing and colouring.

One of my favourite apps is Canva, using which I can make birthday posters and greetings cards. The S Pen works like magic on this app.

I love making short videos about clothes I wear or food I eat. These days, my father has been teaching me how to edit using the popular app Kinemaster. S Pen makes editing very easy.

Every day I make a to-do list on Samsung Notes and also take down notes my teacher or parents tell me something important.

I use apps like Study Geography to learn more about the world around me. I practice Mathematics on the screen of the tab instead of the whiteboard at home. It is much easier and fun!

The best part of the week is when I have my music classes. This is when I use the tab to watch videos, sing and save lyrics!

Staying at home, I do miss my school friends a lot. I chat with them over video calls and discuss school work and also share some laughs!

These days, I have also been teaching my Nani how to use technology. I use the screen recorder on the tablet and make short videos to help her.

The tablet has helped me find new hobbies which I had not discovered before. I never thought that I would say this, but now with Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, I find studying more fun and learning more interactive!

There are quick links on the app to reach out to customer care, live chat and FAQ section. ‘Explore’ is one of the most popular sections. It is where the members bond over their love for Samsung. Within the community, people from the same city, using the same device, or sharing the same passion, engage with each other. “Samsung Members are a tech-savvy lot, who constantly crave conversations around technology. They love exchanging ideas, and even helping each other resolve problems. In the last few weeks, we have seen the highest ever engagement on Samsung Members,” says Pramod Mundra, Senior Director at Samsung India.

Another Samsung Member Siddharth Dash is one of those who love to help people on the community resolve their queries. Siddharth, a 32-year-old professional comedian from Bengaluru, who has been a Samsung Member for two years, says the Samsung Members community has focused conversations around technology. There are lots of people trying to get information about software updates, or trying to understand some new feature in Samsung phones. Any one of us can resolve their queries,” he says. The best part of Samsung Members for him is getting to know new people from across the country who have similar interests in technology, like he does.
