Galaxy J2 Core has been conceptualized basis deep understanding of users who are yet to upgrade to smartphones as well as entry-level smartphone users. In order to deliver faster performance, free space on the device plays a critical role. Galaxy J2 Core has been developed on the latest Android Oreo (Go Edition) platform. This initiative by Google to deliver the best Android experience on affordable smartphones ensures up to two times more available internal storage with new Google Go suite of apps. Google has also tied up with third party app developers to ensure an eco-system of optimized apps for entry-level smartphone configurations.

Samsung has introduced an industry-first ‘Make for India’ feature that allows consumers to not only install apps but also direct social media content to an external memory card. Furthermore, Samsung’s Smart Manager delivers automatic RAM management that ensures the device has sufficient free memory and remains fast and optimized.

The second insight that Samsung worked on was the desire to consume content online. Realizing that consumers are increasingly streaming videos, Galaxy J2 Core’s battery has been enhanced to deliver up to 11 hours of non-stop video streaming on YouTube Go.  Galaxy J2 Core’s 2,600 mAh battery delivers up to 1.5 times longer video playback than popular devices in the entry-level segment.

Galaxy J2 Core features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, making it the perfect choice for capturing great pictures. Galaxy J2 Core gets a 5” display for an enhanced viewing experience and packs a punch in terms of design with a glossy back finish.  The device is powered by Samsung‘s proprietary Exynos processor that is specifically tuned for the latest Android Oreo (Go Edition). It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 256GB with an external memory card.

The Infinity Design on the Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ gives users nearly 15% more display area without increasing the overall size of the device. This can be attributed to extremely thin bezels and by swapping the physical home button with software powered in-display home button. The finger print sensor also moves to the back of the device for added convenience. These changes in the display hardware deliver a 18.5:9 aspect ratio that provides an end to end viewing experience and more browsing space. The new smartphones have been designed to impress. Galaxy A series smartphones come with metal unibody and sleek design. The A6+ has a 6” FHD+ display, while Galaxy A6 sports a 5.6” HD+ display. Galaxy J series smartphones come with a premium polycarbonate unibody. The J8 has a 6” HD+ display, while J6 come with 5.6” HD+ display. Buoyed by success of S bike mode, the India R&D team literally stepped on the gas. The Turbo Speed Technology (TST) was next. Introduced in July 2016, TST results in superior device performance, with native apps loading up to 40% faster than devices with double the RAM. For this, Samsung rewrote native apps such as camera, gallery, and contacts, etc. that are most frequently used. TST also proactively shuts down idle processes running in the background and declutters RAM using its intelligent memory system to ensure resources like RAM and processor are free and ready to take on new tasks, thereby extending fastest in-class experience.

Today, the Galaxy J series smartphones are packed with several other interesting and meaningful innovations, such as the Smart Glow, which allows users to take selfies with rear camera and customize colours for notifications and call alerts.

There is also the S Power Planning, for instance, which is a smart battery management system that empowers users to stay connected at all times, and S Secure that ensures the safest browsing experience and provides privacy features to keep personal information protected.
