Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Nepal announced the completion of its AI & Big Data programme conducted from June 27 to December 31, 2025, alongside the launch of a new batch for Coding & Programming. The programme equipped students with hands-on learning, industry-relevant insights, and practical exposure to next-generation technologies.

Since 2023, SIC has been advancing Samsung’s global CSR vision, “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People,” by empowering youth with future-ready skills for nurturing the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. During the event, graduating students were recognized and awarded certificates for their achievements.

In addition to celebrating the graduates, the ceremony welcomed students beginning the Coding & Programming course under SIC’s curriculum, which integrates advanced technology training with essential soft skills to enhance digital literacy, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and employability.

The Samsung Innovation Campus curriculum is designed to move beyond pure technical training, combining advanced technology learning with essential soft skills to help students thrive in real-world workplaces. Through this balanced approach, participants strengthen their digital literacy, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities—building both confidence and employability in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

A key strength of the programme is its practical project component, where students are guided to design solutions that address socially relevant, real-world challenges. By applying emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Coding & Programming, students gain meaningful hands-on experience—learning not just what these technologies are but how they can be used to create real impact.

The programme aims to equip young talent with future-ready skills while contributing to a stronger innovation ecosystem in Nepal. Built on strong academic fundamentals, the curriculum requires learners to have a working foundation in algorithms, data structures, and programming as prerequisites.

Certificates were presented at a ceremony attended by Prof. Dr. Khadga K.C., Rector; Dr. Sanjaya Uprety, Campus Chief, Pulchowk Campus; and Dr. Sushil B. Bajracharya, Dean, Institute of Engineering.

Samsung’s commitment to education and innovation is rooted in its belief that lasting progress begins with empowering young people. Through initiatives like Samsung Innovation Campus, Samsung continues to support Nepal’s growing technology ecosystem by providing youth with the knowledge, tools, and future-ready skills needed to succeed in the era of a dynamic economy—helping build a brighter tomorrow for individuals, communities, and the nation.

Top seven students from Artificial Intelligence course at Samsung Innovation Campus Nepal were invited for a mentorship program in India.

Samsung inaugurated its global CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus, at Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering on December 14, 2022. Youth in Nepal are undergoing training in in-demand tech skills, including Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data, and Coding & Programming. The curriculum challenges students to present projects with social significance, incorporating the learned technologies.

The program includes soft skills training to enhance employability, translating knowledge into practical solutions, and fostering problem-solving capabilities for innovative thinking.

In 2023, the program has certified 63 students in Coding & Programming and 28 students in AI, with the current top 7 students excelling in the AI course.

Given the absence of Samsung Centers in Nepal, the top 7 students and 1 mentor of AI batch were selected to visit Samsung R&D Centers and Design Center in India. They were offered invaluable exposure to the Samsung environment and to showcase the innovative work undertaken at Samsung, particularly in the realms of SDD & SRIs, emphasizing its contribution to society’s greater good through technological development.

Saurav Adhikari, Kailash Pantha, Prakriti Timalsena, Sandesh Thapa, Samikshya Chapagain, Suraj Pathak and Prayag Man Mane were invited to India with Prof. Arun K. Timalsina for a mentorship program where they got to engage with JB Park, MD &  CEO, Samsung SWA, KY Roo, Head of SRI-Noida, Shane Cho, MD, SRI-Delhi and KD Park, MD, Samsung Design Delhi.

Samikshya Chapagain, a student of AI at Samsung Innovation Campus, Nepal, seemed overwhelmed with joy of having so many new experiences in such a short span.

Driven by her passion for AI, Samikshya’s mission after completing Samsung Innovation Camous is to instill AI technologies in regular tasks which require immense human effort. She wants to improve the working conditions around her home. Her confidence and resilience at Samsung Innovation Campus has empowered her to dream of being an entrepreneur one day. “My goal is to excel in the field of AI and build solutions that create a better world for all. I am actually very inspired to see what Samsung has done with Galaxy AI and meeting all those people who are behind these innovations was really fascinating and inspiring.”

Samsung Innovation students expressed fascination with technological innovation and appreciate Samsung’s commitments to progress in AI, recognizing its potential to change the world.

Another student from the batch of seven, Prayag was excited that a new journey will begin once they are back in Nepal with all the learnings.

“I am so glad that I made it to the top seven and was included in this cohort. The learnings I got from the senior leadership at Samsung will stay with me for life. I feel really motivated and inspired. Being awestruck with all products is one thing but the knowing how much effort goes into creating them has helped me understand the value of constant hardwork and dedication. My AI journey begins here,” he said.

Aspirations of students visiting India included working in technology companies where they can contribute positively with AI and other emerging technologies.

But what exactly does this look like? In order to provide a sneak peek into Samsung Innovation Campus’s efforts, Samsung India recently invited top seven students from AI batch of Samsung Innovation Campus, Nepal to experience the two research centers and the experience store in New Delhi.

The students had an amazing time in India learning from Samsung leadership, engaging with AI engineers and with fun gaming sessions at the headquarters.
