Galaxy M01 Core is Samsung’s most affordable smartphone in India and has been conceptualized basis deep understanding of users who are yet to upgrade to smartphones as well as entry-level smartphone users.

Immersive viewing, long-lasting battery and new design

Galaxy M01 Core comes with 5.3″ HD+ display for immersive viewing experience, packs in 3000 mAh battery for long-lasting usage of up to 11 hours and is just 8.6 mm slim. Galaxy M01 Core sports a stylish stripe design in three colours: Black, Blue and Red. Galaxy M01 Core has an 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera to take great photographs. Galaxy M01 Core is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6739 processor and comes in two memory variants.

‘Make for India’ UX

Galaxy M01 Core comes with several ‘Make for India’ features that help users transition from feature phones to smartphones. Galaxy M01 Core features an intelligent screen, with dynamic screen timeout for power optimization. To make life easier for new smartphone users, Galaxy M01 Core has a feature called ‘Intelligent Inputs – Smart Paste and Suggest Notification’. ‘Suggest Notification’ warns users about low battery and allows them to open their running app or add other critical apps in Maximum Power Saving Mode (provided it is supported by MPSM mode) for extended run time.

‘Smart Paste’ allows user to paste the relevant text like pasting the website url on web browser, mobile number on phone dialer and email id in mail application – all extracted from same message automatically.

Another interesting feature on Galaxy M01 Core is ‘Intelligent Photos’; it detects similar or duplicate photos and gives users suggestion to keep the best photo while discarding other photos to free up space. Galaxy M01 Core also features Dark Mode – One UI based Dark Mode integration, which is easier on the eyes and helps in battery saving. My dad was the real techie in the family, responsible for us all developing a lifelong curiosity about technology. He would make sure that any new gadget invented soon found their way to our home as soon as they hit the mart – the first intercom, the first cassette recorder, the first cordless phone, and the list goes on. As a child, I more or less took tech innovations for granted – and that doesn’t seem to have changed.

But never at any point in life did I realise what precious companions our gadgets could be. Until one fine day we found ourselves firmly locked down hiding away from a nasty virus. I guess if there’s ever been a time for introspection, this is it.

Today, if I had to choose one gadget I can’t do without, it would be my smartphone. You could say it’s my one big window to the outside world. It is my way to connect with friends and family, and colleagues, and also with the neighbourhood mom-and-pop stores and chemist, who deliver those essentials when I give them a call. I am connected to my bank, I am paying all my bills to keep my WiFi, my TV, my electricity and even my cellular network going – all on my phone. I am talking to and chatting with my friends on it, I get news updates on social networking apps, and I am learning new languages through videos. It’s with me by my bedside, while I am working out, I am in the kitchen, and even when I am learning Belly Dance in front of my giant mirror. Now, I am revealing some of my secrets! More on that some other time.

But while I work from home in these difficult times, I’ve picked up a new way to use the phone. I have been working on digitising old photographs for some time now. While we used to have those scanners in the past, several apps on our phones are now able to do the job as well. I leave it you to choose your app. There are many you will find on the app stores. I am spending this time using my Galaxy Note10 to digitise a lot of old family photos. You get to see them once again, touch and feel the memories of yore, and bring them back to life.

Of all of my gadgets – there are so many around me – I rather like using the Galaxy Note10 because of its versatility. The S Pen makes it easier to navigate, scroll, and calligraph – another thing that I picked up from my dad. I like using the trace method of writing, which I can do easily with the Galaxy Note.

In the hustle bustle of life, we didn’t have the time and energy to look back. We all have a beautiful past. Despite the tough times, look at the positives of being home today. And create something nice for the future.

Samsung, India’s largest smartphones and consumer electronics brand, has been ranked India’s Most Trusted Brand by brand intelligence firm TRA research. This is the second year in a row that Samsung has become India’s Most Trusted Brand.

TRA’s Brand Trust Report 2018 is a syndicated research conducted amongst 2,488 consumer-influencers across 16 cities in India.

“Samsung’s second year as India’s Most Trusted Brand reflects the brand’s focus and commitment to building trust,” said N Chandramouli, Chief Executive Officer, TRA Research.

“The South Korean conglomerate has illustrated unwavering consistency maintaining its dominance. Samsung continues to display its determined supremacy due to its innovative products coupled with aggressive marketing initiatives, which have contributed to the brand’s success in India & worldwide,” said the Brand Trust Report 2018.

In 2017, Samsung had risen 17 ranks over the previous year to get to the top spot.

Samsung India ranked number one in the Mobile Handsets/Tablets and Consumer Durables categories in the ‘Most Trusted Brands 2016’ annual survey, conducted by The Economic Times – Brand Equity and research firm Nielsen. The Economic Times is the world’s second-most widely read English-language business newspaper.

Overall, Samsung Mobile was ranked as the second ‘Most Trusted’ brand among all brands in India, a huge leap from the 16th position it was at in 2015.

Samsung Mobile also leads the rankings in Quality and Price categories at an individual brand attribute level, while it is second in Brand Familiarity, Overall Opinion, Recommendation and Meets Needs parameters. A total of 372 brands were considered for this year’s survey which was conducted across 12 cities.

Commenting on the rankings, Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung India, said, “We are delighted to receive this honour from our customers who have placed their trust in Samsung.
