Laptops open, ideas flying across whiteboards and teams huddled in discussion — the atmosphere at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) in Delhi was buzzing with creativity as students put their coding skills to the test at a Samsung Innovation Campus hackathon.

Over the course of an intense day, 50 young developers worked in teams to design solutions for real-world challenges, applying concepts from artificial intelligence, machine learning and programming. The hackathon not only tested their technical skills but also encouraged collaboration, critical thinking and innovation — qualities essential for the next generation of technology leaders.

The hackathon showcased how classroom learning can translate into meaningful innovation when students are given the right platform, mentorship, and exposure. With expert guidance from industry professionals and Samsung R&D leaders, the participants explored new ideas, sharpened their coding abilities, and experienced the excitement of solving problems through technology.

For many participants, the experience went beyond simply writing code. It was an opportunity to think creatively, collaborate with peers, and understand how technology can address real-world problems.

“My experience with Samsung Innovation Campus has been incredibly valuable for my growth in coding and programming,” said Avni Goel, a B.Tech student in Computer Science and Technology.

“It has strengthened my problem-solving skills and helped me understand how to apply algorithms efficiently in real-world scenarios. I learned how to think more logically, write optimized code, and approach challenges in a structured way. Beyond technical skills, it boosted my confidence in teamwork and presenting ideas. Overall, the experience helped me become a more disciplined and competent programmer, ready to take on bigger challenges ahead.”

For Sarthak, a third-year undergraduate student at MAIT, the programme opened the door to a deeper understanding of artificial intelligence.

“The biggest takeaway from this programme was realizing how much there is to learn,” he said.

“Everyone talks about AI, but there is so much beyond the surface—machine learning, deep learning, and the mathematics behind it. Understanding the mathematics behind AI was the biggest challenge for me, because at the end of the day AI is essentially mathematical algorithms. Initially it was difficult to build an intuition for it, but the programme really helped me explore that depth,” he added.

The hackathon jury included Alok Sharma, General Manager (Device Driver) at Samsung R&D Institute, Noida, Vidushi Chaudhary, Technical General Manager (Android Application) at Samsung R&D Institute Noida, and Varun Bhanot, Director of Engineering at Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs in Gurgaon. Together, they evaluated the projects and engaged with the students, offering valuable feedback on their ideas and approaches.

For the jury members, what stood out most was the students’ passion for problem-solving and their ability to collaborate.

“The most impressive part was their problem-solving mindset,” said Vidushi Chaudhary, Technical General Manager at Samsung R&D Institute Noida and a member of the jury. “They were not just building solutions for the sake of it—they were trying to address real-world problems. I loved their confidence and the way they worked in a team environment.”

Launched in India in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus focuses on expanding access to future-tech education, particularly in underserved and semi-urban regions. The programme is implemented in collaboration with the Telecom Sector Skills Council (TSSC) through accredited training partners.

Nationally, the programme has recorded around 45% women participation, reflecting Samsung’s commitment to building an inclusive and equitable technology ecosystem. Along with technical training in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and programming, the programme also offers soft-skills training and placement support to help students become workplace-ready.

Together with initiatives such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung DOST, Samsung Innovation Campus is helping strengthen India’s digital skilling ecosystem—empowering young innovators to learn, build, and shape the future through technology.

Startup Summit 2025 at SRI Noida

Samsung R&D Institute, Noida (SRI-Noida) successfully hosted its third Startup Summit, a dynamic event designed to showcase disruptive technologies, foster meaningful collaborations, and spark conversations on the future of innovation.

The latest edition brought together AI-first startups and global tech leaders, focusing on cutting-edge advancements in healthcare, language models, audio deepfake detection, and extended reality (XR), among others.

The Summit highlighted the critical need for ethical AI, digital trust, and next-generation innovation through cross-functional collaboration. It served as a testament to Samsung’s unwavering commitment to strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem by leveraging robust technology partnerships, cross-industry collaboration, and talent acceleration.

This year’s event featured eight pioneering startups, including Sarvam AI, Jivi AI, HealthifyMe, ValidSoft, KOGO AI, NeoDocs, EnableX and Magnimus working at the intersection of AI, immersive technologies, healthcare, and natural language processing. These startups showcased their breakthrough products and explored potential pilot collaborations with teams from Samsung’s R&D centers, business units, and Samsung Ventures. The participating startups were carefully selected based on their innovation potential, strategic alignment with Samsung’s vision, and capacity to scale globally.

The Summit’s immersive format offered a 360-degree view of Samsung’s innovation network in India, fostering cross-functional collaborations, unlocking new synergies, and aligning startups with global technology trends. Participants praised the platform for facilitating deep-dive conversations with Samsung experts and accelerating product development and market readiness.

By spotlighting emerging technologies in healthcare AI, language processing, deepfake detection, visual AI, and XR, the Startup Summit reaffirmed SRI-Noida’s pivotal role in driving transformational innovation. The 2025 edition of Samsung Members Connect at Samsung R&D Institute India, Noida (SRI-Noida) brought together 74 passionate Galaxy users for an immersive journey into the world of Galaxy AI and the Galaxy S25 Series. This exclusive event offered a deep dive into AI-driven personalization, seamless productivity, enhanced gaming, and next-gen camera experiences, making it an unforgettable day for Samsung Members.

A Day of Learning, Fun & Innovation

The day kicked off with a welcome address by Samsung leaders, setting the stage for an insightful exploration of Samsung’s latest innovations. Participants got an exclusive first look at One UI 7.x, learning how it enhances personalization, convenience, and security across devices.

The Multi-Device Experience segment showcased Samsung’s connected ecosystem, emphasizing seamless transitions between the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Buds for an effortless productivity and entertainment experience.

Next-Gen Gaming & Creative Camera Innovations

For gaming enthusiasts, the Enhanced Game Performance session provided insights into how AI optimizations in the Galaxy S25 series are delivering smoother gameplay, faster response times, and immersive visuals.

“As a mobile gamer, I was amazed to see the AI-powered improvements in gaming performance. The live demos truly showcased how the S25 series is redefining mobile gaming,” said Ravi Joshi, another Samsung Member.

Samsung’s Creative Camera Experience was a major highlight, featuring hands-on photography workshops where users explored advanced AI-powered editing tools and pro-grade photography features on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The event also included a contest, challenging participants to capture the best creative shots using their devices.

A Celebration of Innovation & Community

Beyond the tech, Samsung Members Connect was filled with fun activities, a facility tour, contests, and a lucky draw. The day concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, group photo, and hi-tea, celebrating the shared passion for innovation.

With an outstanding 95% positive feedback, the event was a resounding success, reaffirming Samsung’s commitment to delivering meaningful innovation and building a thriving community of Galaxy enthusiasts.

Nine bright young minds from Samsung Innovation Campus, the company’s flagship CSR programme, got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Samsung India’s head office and its state-of-the-art R&D centres and Design Centre.

Samsung Innovation Campus upskills the Indian youth in future-tech skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT) and Coding & Programming. The students, eight toppers and one social media champion from the programme, got a first-hand look at the technology and the people driving Samsung’s cutting-edge innovations.

The students interacted with JB Park, President and CEO at Samsung Southwest Asia, besides other senior leaders at Samsung India.

“Samsung Innovation Campus is for the youth of India to prepare them for a digital future. We aim to upskill youth in future technologies and enhance their employability. It is a proud moment for me to meet young beneficiaries of the programme. I believe the youth, especially from smaller cities in India, have unlimited potential, and I wish them all the best,” said JB Park.

The students arrived at the Samsung head office from all corners of India: Manish Singh and Prince Chauhan from Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, specializing in AI; Mukesh Kumar Pandey and Anchal Verma, also from Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, studying Big Data; Amit Kumar Maurya from Deen Dayal Upadhayaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur and Suhani S Gaonkat from Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute, Bengaluru, focusing on Coding & Programming; and Alok Singh and Subin Thomson from National Small Industries Corporation Ltd, Delhi, training in IoT.

The group was joined by Saurabh Yadav, a Samsung Innovation Campus Media Champion studying AI. Saurabh recorded 100 days of his Samsung Innovation Campus experience in as many posts on his social media handles.

In Noida and New Delhi, they interacted with the Managing Directors of the R&D centres, who shared valuable insights on the importance of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

“Being here has been a life-changing experience. Meeting the people, who create technology that impacts millions of lives was beyond anything I had imagined,” said Manish Singh from Gorakhpur.

“The exposure to cutting-edge R&D and the emphasis on learning at every step have inspired me to aim higher. This experience will stay with me forever,” said Anchal Verma from Gorakhpur.

A visit to Samsung Design Delhi left the group awestruck by the creativity and futuristic designs shaping Samsung’s vision for tomorrow.

“The design centre showed me how innovation and aesthetics come together. It was fascinating to see how Samsung envisions the future through design,” said Suhani S Gaonkar from Bengaluru.

Aligned with the Government of India’s #SkillIndia and #DigitalIndia initiatives, Samsung Innovation Campus focuses on equipping youth with skills in high-demand tech fields, including AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming.

In 2024, Samsung Innovation Campus conducted 12 certification events across educational institutes in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

The interactions not only inspired the students but also reinforced Samsung’s commitment to nurturing young talent, especially from smaller cities and towns, and prepare them for a brighter, more digital future.

A new and revolutionised way of communication has been unleashed with the launch of Galaxy Z series. With Galaxy AI, Samsung is making it much easier, more natural and more enjoyable than ever before to experience the world.

To gain a deeper understanding of this revolution and to unlock new possibilities for everyone, Samsung R&D Institute India, Noida hosted the second Samsung Members Connect event of the year, making mobile AI more accessible.

Galaxy enthusiasts from across the country converged at Noida’s top tech centre. With 2K registrations and 74 chosen participants, the gathering provided an opportunity to explore the capabilities of Galaxy AI using the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Watch7.

Samsung Members is a peer-driven community aimed at enhancing the experiences of Galaxy users, providing a platform for them to share insights, engage with other like-minded users, and to indulge in a variety of perks. Samsung Members Connect offers these Samsung enthusiasts a chance to engage with one another and deepen their knowledge about new products and features, with a special focus this time on the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Watch7.

“It’s completely amazing experience over here. I get to know a lot of members and I get to experience many features, with real time demos and lots of exciting things and activities happening”, said Samsung Member Rohit Gadher.

“It’s a great experience. I get to know so much about the new devices that are coming in and all the AI features they come with”, said Samsung Member Sahil Yadav.

At the event, members had the opportunity to interact directly with the brilliant minds behind Samsung’s renowned Galaxy AI ecosystem. Engineers provided in-depth explanations of these innovations, highlighting the details in the most subtle way.

The one-day event featured a series of insightful sessions covering topics around Health & Wellness, Productivity & Communication, Creative Camera Experience and included Photography Workshop, as requested by many members in the last few events.

One of the Samsung Stars, Yash Agarwal, also shared his journey and experience with Samsung.

“I see all the members were really excited to see how Galaxy AI is incorporated in Samsung Health. Be it wellness feature or energy score feature, they were really excited to see those”, said Pulkit Kapoor from Health team at SRI-Noida.

“Sessions have been extremely engaging and we could feel that the users were really enjoying themselves. We personally felt that we are going in the right direction once the users started interacting with the features”, said Anshul Subramanian from Camera team at SRI-Noida.

In addition to the tech sessions, the event included engaging activities, quizzes, feedback session and a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate its success.

Attendees were also given goodie bags, and lucky members had the chance to win special prizes through a lucky draw.

With a 97% positive feedback rate, the event was a resounding success and a heartfelt expression of appreciation from Samsung Members.

AI is everywhere but once integrated into the smartphones; Mobile AI is nothing less than a revolution.

To understand this revolution better, make mobile AI easy to access and to ignite new possibilities for all, Samsung R&D Institute India, Noida hosted this year’s first Samsung Member’s Connect event.

Noida’s coolest tech hub witnessed the gathering of Galaxy enthusiasts from all over the country. The event oversaw 2500 registrations and hosted 75 selected attendees to explore the possibilities of Galaxy AI with Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Samsung Members is a peer-led community dedicated to enriching the experiences of Galaxy users and a space for them to share their experiences, favorite features and connect. Members Connect gives this community of young enthusiasts, an opportunity to connect with each other and learn more about their favourite devices. This time focus was on Galaxy S24 Ultra.

“This is my first Members Connect event and now that I am here, I regret that I missed the last one. There is so much to learn about Galaxy AI here as the sessions by engineers are so informative”, said Samsung Member Aditya Sharma.

“The community is doing so many cool things with the devices. It is incredible and inspiring to meet fellow members”, he added.

Members at the event directly interacted and engaged with the bright minds behind Samsung’s famed Galaxy ecosystem where the engineers explained all details of these innovations in the most nuanced manner.

“It is a great opportunity for us to be hosting Samsung Members Connect. It gives us a chance to understand our consumers in a much better way. We listen to our member’s wishes, concerns, feedback and proposals and they get to interact ith the people behind these exciting devices. This mutual relationship helps us improve our galaxy devices”, said Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, SRI-Noida.

The one-day event comprised of a series of insightful sessions around Security & Privacy, Personalization and Convenience, Samsung Health Monitor and Camera Features.

“The event is crucial for young engineers like us because meeting galaxy users gives us a clear picture on how AI is progressing.  We can think, explore, imagine and innovate in a better way with all the learnings we gather here”, said Dharya Arora from Framework team at SRI Noida.

“Members are also consumers and this is great because consumer feedback helps us in understanding how the features and products are faring in the market. This ultimately decides the direction for our next move in terms of tech innovation”, said Ajay Sharma from Application team at SRI Noida.

Apart from intense learning sessions on technology, there were engaging activities, quizzes and a cake cutting ceremony in the end to celebrate the success of the connect event.

Additionally, all attendees received a goodie bag. Lucky Members won special prizes in a lucky draw.

With a positive user feedback of 98%, the event was a huge success and a delightful display of love by Samsung Members.

The bustling heart of Noida’s tech hub witnessed the gathering of Galaxy enthusiasts from the Samsung Members community at the second Samsung Members Connect event. Hosted by Samsung R&D Institute India, Noida, the event oversaw 3,300 registrations and hosted 58 select attendees to explore the frontiers of Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem.

Samsung Members is a peer-led community dedicated to enriching the experiences of Galaxy users and a space for them to share their experiences, favorite features and connect.

Members Connect gave these Galaxy enthusiasts a chance to directly interact and engage with the bright minds behind Samsung’s famed Galaxy ecosystem.

“We planned this event for two purposes. Understanding and learning from our customers which helps our next developments. We prepared tech sessions explaining solutions which our tech experts develop,” said Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, SRI-Noida.

The one-day event comprised of a series of insightful sessions around What’s New, Intelligent Solutions, Samsung Health, Samsung Wallet, Samsung Internet and Camera Features along with engaging activities and quizes.

Additionally, all attendees received a goodie bag. Ten lucky Members won Galaxy Buds2 Pro in a lucky draw, and 29 quiz and contest winners received Power banks.

With a positive user feedback of 96%, the event was a huge success and a delightful display of love by Samsung Members.

They are the most fun loving, motivated and excited bunch of people who are always up for new experiences.

To motivate our young members even further, Samsung recently had its first Members Connect event at Samsung Research Institute, Noida.

Members Connect gave them a chance to explore the idea and innovations behind their favourite Galaxy Devices. The one-day event comprised of sessions across Galaxy S23 Camera, One UI 5, Good Lock, Quick Share and Samsung Health by tech & design experts from SRI-Noida, SRI-Bangalore and Samsung Design Delhi.

“Our strategy is to enhance our technical expertise to enrich each Samsung users mobile experience,” said Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director, SRI-Noida.

Basis the same strategy, the connect event got a fantastic response from the Members with hundreds of registrations. It was an overwhelming display of love and trust from Samsung members.

For the first time at SRI Noida, Members met the teams working behind Galaxy devices to understand the stories of all the hard work that goes into creating each of the small elements that ultimately give them a product.

The special focus at the event remained of the latest, Samsung S23 Ultra so that members can have an enhances user experience. They were super excited to learn the nuances of One UI, Goodlock, Camera, S Health, Quick Share and Expert Raw on S23 Ultra.

“It was a great experience visiting SRI Noida. It was nice interactive session with Tech leaders. I like the friendly atmosphere while interacting with young energetic people. Now I know what amount of effort goes into creating a wholesome user experience,” said Samsung Member Vivek Kumar.

Another Member, Rakesh added, “It was amazing, loved all the sessions and interacting with everyone. It was awesome and they were so humble and were ready to listen. I got to know a lot about One UI, Samsung Health and Power of Expert Raw. The event was amazing, seriously so much to learn and understand, want more events like this.”
