Ever came up with ideas that could have changed your life? Ever had to drop those ideas as there was no grants, no funds and no mentorship? Well, certainly not with Samsung Solve for Tomorrow.

Samsung constantly works towards creating a community that is driven by meaningful innovations. Samsung’s flagship CSR program, Solve For Tomorrow encourages youth to solve pressing social challenges using the STEM approach and create a positive impact on society. Any youngster between 16-22 years can participate, irrespective of whether they are affiliated with an educational institute.

One such youngster, Ishaaq Ahamed, a Samsung Member from Andhra Pradesh had some some crazy ideas but he also wanted to motivate his friends to apply for Solve for Tomorrow. Ishaaq spoke to us about what inspires him to Solve for Tomorrow –

Hi Ishaaq, Tell us about yourself and your journey with Samsung Members?

My name is Ishaaq Ahamed. I am 21 years old engineering student from Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. I studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nellore and now I am pursuing my Electronics and Communications Engineering at IIIT, Kadapa.

In 2019, I joined the Samsung Members community and connected with many other Samsung members. I love clicking images on my Samsung Galaxy device and I share them with the community as well.

How did you find out about Solve for Tomorrow and what got you interested in it?

I am a huge Samsung fan . I regularly follow updates from official social handles of Samsung. I also follow the Samsung Members community so that is where I discovered Solve for Tomorrow program the day it launched.

The name itself is so interesting, so it made me go through the details of contest and I really got inspired.

Why did you find Solve for Tomorrow so inspiring?

Solve for tomorrow is a great contest which is not just giving us a platform to showcase our skillset but also enhancing our intellectual capabilities. Rather than being someone who spends time cribbing about a problem it is better to think it through and solve a problem, which not only helps an individual but also many in the society.  Thinking for the problem free society using my ideas through the slove for tomorrow is what made me feel empowered.

What made you create a campaign and inform more people about solve for tomorrow?

Solve for tomorrow inspired me so I wanted to inspire my fellow members. I want all my classmates, friends and peers to apply because everyone deserves a chance.

How was the response you got from your friends in college?

It was quite an eye opener for us. When we discussed Solve for Tomorrow among us, we realized we were getting together often to discuss problems but we never thought of solutions. Solve for Tomorrow made us think of solutions.

Here are some shots that glowed brightest in the dark and made it to Samsung Members’s Night Vibe Challenge. They are the winners of the contest that took place on Samsung Member’s App.

The members shared scintillating images of  what night vibe meant to them. Their night vibe reflected in images of cities awake at night, skyline silhouettes, slow motion captures of rain, a racing bicyclist, stars in the night sky and reflections of lightening on rain washed streets.
