Atul Kasbekar has had a camera in his hands, capturing stunning moments for over 30 years now. It has mostly been a professional camera, first SLRs and now DSLRs that helped him shoot almost every famous model in the country, and many celebrities too. But when he got his hands on Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S9+, he could see the camera re-imagined.

Kasbekar took Galaxy S9+’ camera that comes with a Dual Aperture lens to shoot the stunning Taj Mahal, on a night out in Mumbai to capture the scenes of the city that never sleeps and also to a Holi party to put the Super Slow-mo feature to test. He also tried to recreate what he learnt at photography school – shots of a dart flying through a water-filled balloon – and in his own words “you shouldn’t be able to do that on a smartphone.”

But it did come out perfect.

He is also considering if he should stop using his original face on profiles and move to Galaxy S9+’ AR Emojis that are unique and individual.

Samsung Newsroom India recently caught up with the ace celebrity photographer for his verdict on the reimagined camera of the Galaxy S9+.
