Samsung Saves 40,000 Trees with Zipel Refrigerator’s Green Packaging

Samsung Electronics’ eco-friendly Zipel refrigerator packaging is deemed to have saved forty thousand 30-year old trees a year. Given that the amount of pulp you get from a 30-year old tree is 58.8 kg based on the Ministry of Environment’s estimation, Samsung’s green Zipel packaging saves 46,000 trees per year. Samsung Electronics began using green packaging in Nov 2012, and plans to use it on other products starting from April this year.
