Samsung Driers Win Energy Star 2013 Emerging Technology Award

Samsung Electronics won Energy Star 2013 Emerging Technology Award by US EPA with its clothes dryer ‘DV457’ for the first time. EPA said Samsung Dryer can knock $635 off the electricity bill and reduce CO2 emission up to 9,000 lb (4,082 kg) over the period of 11 years. Drum Washer ‘WF457’ that has Smart Grid features is even more efficient saving $3,978 from the utility bill over the useful life of 11 years.
