On June 26, Samsung Electronics released the 2026 edition of its Sustainability Report.

The report details Samsung’s key environmental, social and governance strategies and achievements as the company works to fulfill its corporate responsibilities and build a foundation for sustainable growth amid evolving geopolitical risks and the rapid advancement of AI. In particular, the report highlights progress in water stewardship through a systematic water management framework across global manufacturing sites and initiatives to conserve aquatic ecosystems.

[Environment]

Under the New Environmental Strategy announced in September 2022, Samsung remains committed to achieving net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions, maximizing resource circularity and addressing environmental challenges through technological innovation.

As part of its goal to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division transitioned 94.8% of its total energy consumption to renewable energy as of the end of 2025. The division also reduced power consumption by an average of 34.4% compared with 2019 by applying high-efficiency energy technologies to its representative product models.[1]

Significant progress was made in resource circularity and water stewardship efforts. The DX Division increased the proportion of recycled plastic used in plastic components across all products to 33.7%[2] and earned UL Solutions’ highest Zero Waste to Landfill validation rating at all global manufacturing sites. Additionally, the division achieved a water replenishment rate of 67.2% in 2025 as part of its goal to replenish 100% of global water consumption by 2030.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s Device Solutions (DS) Division continued its efforts to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050, introducing three additional regenerative catalytic systems and improving equipment energy efficiency. The division also advanced low-power technologies to meet its memory power consumption reduction targets, enabling the timely commercialization of more energy-efficient products such as HBM4 and PM1763. By 2030, the division plans to improve the energy efficiency of its HBM and server SSD products by 2.5 times and 4 times, respectively, to provide customers with optimized AI infrastructure solutions.

Furthermore, the DS Division adopted a Water Positive approach aimed at replenishing more water than it consumes, restoring approximately 240,000 tons of water resources.

[Social and Governance]

Samsung continues to foster a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, with the goal of achieving zero serious accidents and the highest global level of lost time injury rate by 2030.

Across its supply chain, Samsung expanded the scope of third-party audits to include 122 first-tier suppliers and 39 second-tier suppliers. The company also launched a Supply Chain Sustainability Committee in late 2025 to address supply chain-wide issues, including labor rights, environmental management and occupational safety and health.

As part of its corporate citizenship efforts, Samsung carried out a range of corporate social responsibility programs to support future generations and strengthen communities. Samsung Software·AI Academy for Youth (SSAFY), the company’s flagship talent development program, helped train approximately 2,000 young software professionals. Samsung Hope Stepping Stone — a program that supports housing stability and future readiness for young people seeking independence — opened a center in Incheon in 2025, bringing the total number of centers to 16 and supporting 15,092 people across all locations.

This year’s report aligns with global disclosure standards and is integrated with Samsung’s Sustainability website to improve accessibility.

[1] Representative products (2025 models): Refrigerator (RT34DG5A4DSLHL), air conditioner (AC052FCADKF/TL), washing machine (WD90F25AHT), TV (KQ75QNF990FXKR), monitor (LS49DG952SKXKR), PC (NP960XJG) and smartphone (SM-S938)

Samsung Electronics recently announced that it has earned a total of 16 awards, including Best of the Best honors for the OLED TV S95H and the Bespoke AI Laundry series, at the Red Dot Design Award demonstrating the company’s leading design competitiveness. This achievement is particularly significant, as the winning products were those that embody Samsung’s new design strategy, “Expressive Design.”

“Expressive Design is our way of putting people at the center, celebrating their identity, emotions and diversity,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “We design not only to function, but to create meaning and connection. Our ambition is to enrich people’s lives through experiences that are both purposeful and deeply human.”

The Red Dot Design Award is widely recognized as one of the world’s top design honors. Established in 1955 and organized by German organization Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, the award recognizes excellence across three categories: Product Design, Design Concept and Brands & Communication Design.

Two Best of the Best Award Winners Recognized for Design Innovation

The S95H stands out for its distinctive FloatLayer design, which combines an ultra-thin OLED display with a luxurious metal plate to create a layered concept in which a slim OLED screen is placed over a bold metallic surface.

The result is a new category of premium art frame design that makes the OLED screen appear as if it is floating in front of the metallic silver frame, confidently highlighting the presence of metal and producing a striking visual effect. The vivid contrast enhances the sense of immersion, while the minimalist silver metal frame seamlessly integrates into interior spaces to resemble a refined piece of wall art.

Meanwhile, the Bespoke AI Laundry appliances applies a mono-body design concept across a range of types, including standalone washing machines, dryers and combos. Through this design, the series unifies different laundry appliances under consistent design languages, enabling the products to seamlessly harmonize with a variety of interior environments.

Additionally, Smart Screen — the large 7-inch LCD screen — enhances usability by providing an intuitive and simplified control experience. Integrated with SmartThings, the interface allows users to easily manage connected smart devices while offering AI-powered, personalized lifestyle solutions for greater everyday convenience.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026.

The Company posted KRW 133.9 trillion in consolidated revenue, an all-time quarterly high, representing a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase of 43%. Operating profit was also an all-time high, increasing to KRW 57.2 trillion.

The Device Solutions (DS) Division posted a QoQ sales increase of 86%, with the Memory Business setting an all-time high for quarterly revenue and operating profit as a result of technological leadership in the memory market, as well as higher average selling price (ASP).

The Device eXperience (DX) Division posted a QoQ sales increase of 19%, supported by the launch of new flagship smartphones. Despite higher cost pressures, the Division expanded the sales of high-value-added products across businesses to preserve profitability

Semiconductors To Drive Structured Growth on AI-Related Demand

The DS Division posted KRW 81.7 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 53.7 trillion in operating profit for the first quarter.

The Memory Business surpassed its quarterly sales record by addressing high-value-added AI demand despite limited supply availability, with industry-wide memory price increases also a contributing factor.

Samsung Electronics today reported financial results for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year 2025.

In the quarter ended December 31, 2025, the Company posted its highest-ever quarterly consolidated revenue at KRW 93.8 trillion, representing a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase of 9%. Operating profit was also an all-time high, at KRW 20.1 trillion. For the full year, the Company reported KRW 333.6 trillion in annual revenue and KRW 43.6 trillion in operating profit.

The Device Solutions (DS) Division posted a QoQ sales increase of 33%, with the Memory Business setting an all-time high for quarterly revenue and operating profit, driven by expanded sales of HBM and other high-value-added products, as well as the overall market price surge.

The Device eXperience (DX) Division experienced a sequential decline in revenue of 8% due to reduced launch effects from new smartphone models, as well as intense market competition.

Looking ahead to Q1 2026, the DS Division expects AI and server demand to continue increasing, leading to more opportunities for structural growth. In response, the Division will continue to focus on profitability via a strong emphasis on high-performance products.

In 2026 as a whole, the DS Division aims to lead the AI era with product competitiveness amid a rapidly growing demand environment, particularly by expanding the sales of AI-related offerings in both DRAM and NAND.

Semiconductors To Continue Increasing Revenue

The DS Division achieved a quarterly consolidated revenue of KRW 44.0 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 16.4 trillion for the fourth quarter of 2025.

In Q4 2025, despite limited supply availability, the Memory Business achieved record highs in quarterly revenue and operating profit by addressing strong conventional DRAM demand while expanding HBM sales amid an overall increase in prices. The Business focused on improving profitability via higher sales of high-value-added products such as HBM, server DDR5 and enterprise SSDs.

In Q1 2026, the ongoing AI boom is expected to continue driving favorable market conditions across the industry, and the Memory Business plans to keep prioritizing high-value-added products for AI applications. The Memory Business is on track to begin delivering HBM4 products this quarter — including those with industry-leading 11.7Gbps performance — with the aim of reestablishing a leadership position in the high-end HBM market.

In 2026, the Memory Business will continue to maintain close partnerships with customers based on product competitiveness and aims to address customer demand through the timely shipment of competitive HBM4 and the expansion of sales of AI-related products such as DDR5, SOCAMM2 and GDDR7. It also plans to proactively address AI-related NAND demand with a focus on scaling up sales of high-performance TLC products for Key Value SSD demand for inference.

Earnings for the System LSI Business declined in Q4 2025, due to seasonal demand softness and adjustments to key customer product schedules. However, image sensor revenue grew on the back of new 200MP and 50MP big-pixel products.

In Q1 2026, earnings are expected to recover with new product launches, while image sensor leadership will be reinforced by an expanded 200MP lineup.

In 2026, the System LSI Business will focus on earnings improvement by expanding sales based on differentiated system-on-a-chip (SoC) performance and stabilized yields. In image sensors, the Business will continue to strengthen its competitiveness in fine-pixel technology and sustain its leadership through Nanoprism technology, which enhances light sensitivity.

In Q4 2025, the overall revenue for the Foundry Business increased on strong demand from customers in major markets, while earnings improvement was limited as a result of provisional costs. The Business also commenced mass production of first-generation 2nm products and began shipments of 4nm HBM base-die products.

Looking ahead to Q1 2026, revenue is expected to decline sequentially due to seasonal weakness. Orders are projected to expand, however, largely due to orders from HPC and mobile customers.

As for 2026, the Foundry Business is targeting double-digit revenue growth and improvement in profitability, driven by advanced nodes. It plans to ramp up production of second-generation 2nm products and prepare for the production of performance- and power-optimized 4nm processes. Additionally, it aims to strengthen competitiveness by providing optimized solutions through the integration of logic, memory and advanced packaging technologies.

SDC To Maintain Market Leadership Through Differentiated Technologies

SDC posted KRW 9.5 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 2.0 trillion in operating profit for the fourth quarter.

For small and medium displays, SDC achieved solid performance driven by supply stability and increased smartphone demand from major customers, with the expansion of sales in the IT and automotive segments also contributing to earnings growth. The large display business recorded revenue growth by responding to market demand during the year-end peak season.

In 2026, SDC will advance its leadership in the smartphone market based on differentiated technologies. It will continue its premium market leadership in TVs by focusing on new high-brightness products, and for monitors, it plans to drive sales expansion based on differentiated performance advantages.

MX To Accelerate Momentum by Advancing AI Leadership

The Mobile eXperience (MX) and Networks Businesses posted KRW 29.3 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 1.9 trillion in operating profit for the fourth quarter.

Throughout the year, the Business will leverage its leadership in vRAN and ORAN to penetrate new markets while securing profitability through cost optimization.

CE Business and Harman Pursue Growth Through Differentiated Customer Experiences

The VD and DA Businesses posted KRW 14.8 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 0.6 trillion in operating loss in the fourth quarter.

In Q4 2025, the VD Business saw expanded revenue through robust sales of premium Neo QLED and OLED products as well as an effective response to peak seasonal demand. As intense market competition persisted, however, profitability remained under pressure.

In 2026, the DA Business will seek to accelerate the sales of AI products and expand growth pillars in business-to-business, direct-to-consumer and subscription-based areas. Additionally, along with cost-efficiency initiatives, it will drive HVAC growth through its synergies with FläktGroup — arising from Samsung Electronics’ recent acquisition of the leading European HVAC company.

Harman posted KRW 4.6 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 0.3 trillion in operating profit in the fourth quarter.

In Q4 2025, Harman achieved revenue growth by expanding automotive product supply to European OEMs and releasing new portable and true wireless sound (TWS) models, successfully addressing peak season demand and strengthening its brand portfolio.

We have said farewell to 2025 and as we look ahead and welcome a new year, I am immensely proud of what our teams across Southeast Asia and Oceania

We have said farewell to 2025 and as we look ahead and welcome a new year, I am immensely proud of what our teams across Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO) have achieved together so far. To Samsung, the SEAO region is more than a collection of markets; it is a strategic hub of innovation, defined by dynamic growth, cultural diversity, and rapid digital adoption. While commercial targets continued to be important last year, we were also focused on anchoring Samsung as a genuine, long-term partner in SEAO’s development.

To strengthen the fundamentals that we established in 2025, I would like to share three core strategic pillars that will continue to anchor our growth path in 2026: delivering breakthrough innovations, empowering the next generation, and driving transformation for our customers; all underpinned by our commitment to become a truly AI-driven company.

Delivering Breakthrough Innovation Through an AI-Driven Future

At Samsung, we believe AI has fundamentally changed how we operate, innovate, and serve our customers. We have embraced a bold vision to be an AI-driven company and are already weaving AI meaningfully into our R&D product development, operations and user experience.

We first introduced Galaxy AI to the world back in 2024 and we reinforced our AI leadership in 2025 as we delivered an even broader vision of living with AI. In addition to democratization, we are driving a new era of multi-modal intelligence. This means ensuring that our hardware and software evolve together, creating devices that do not just process commands, but function as intuitive companions.

At CES 2026, we announced our efforts to create a more unified and personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances, and services with our “Companion to AI Living” Vision.

What excited audiences at CES 2026 was how Samsung’s displays, such as the 130-inch Micro RGB, are merging hardware excellence and visual intelligence to create a true entertainment companion for your homes. For instance, Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC) uses AI technology to recommend what to watch and even what music to listen to.

Lastly, we introduced our long-term vision for intelligent care driven by Samsung’s integrated device ecosystem. I am truly excited about how we can redefine care from a reactive need to proactive opportunity. We will strive to promote healthier lives by delivering helpful features across AI, phones, appliances, wearables and other connected devices.

Empowering the Next Generation

What also continues to excite me is that the next generation in SEAO will not just be users of technology; they will be creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs who shape how these applications of AI serve their communities.

I believe that technology should serve as a bridge that enables everyone, regardless of background, to connect, create, and thrive. To fully unlock this potential, we have directed our corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts towards cultivating and investing in our youth, nurturing the next generation of talent.

Our flagship Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) program empowers young people to drive meaningful change through technology and innovation. In 2025, participation grew by 40% from 2024, with a total of more than 16,900 youth across the region developing solutions to address challenges in their communities. This growth highlights young people’s readiness to apply technology in practical and meaningful ways when given the tools and opportunities.

Last year, the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) actively bridged the regional skills gap by providing advanced information and communications technology (ICT), coding, and AI education across multiple SEAO markets. This approach mirrors our internal capability-building methodology: just as we train our employees through a structured GenAI curriculum, SIC provides youth with a similar roadmap for progression, enabling them to build foundational AI capabilities and progress to working with more complex applications.

These initiatives are more than CSR programs, but strategic investments we are making to contribute and build up the talent pipeline for our region’s AI-driven digital economy.

2026 is set to be a year where we build on this strong momentum with our CSR programs, as we aim to do even more with governments, corporations, schools, NGOs and community partners.

Driving Ecosystem Transformation

Finally, the foundation of a hyper-connected world fueled by AI agents must be trust. At Samsung, security and privacy are at the heart of our strategy. This principle is increasingly critical as we enter an era of Agentic AI, where intelligent systems do not just respond to commands but anticipate needs and act autonomously on users’ behalf. The power of our “One Samsung” ecosystem ensures that intelligence extends seamlessly from mobile to the entire connected home via SmartThings, protected by Samsung Knox.

We also uphold this standard of trust at the enterprise level. Last year, Samsung Business Experience Studios (BES) were launched in markets including Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore. These spaces are designed to help organizations envision how they can adopt innovative Samsung solutions to meet their specific industry challenges. With additional studios set to roll out across Southeast Asia and Oceania, we look forward to more opportunities for collaboration as we partner with enterprises to implement smart and secure solutions for their businesses.

Shaping Our Future Together

My first year leading SEAO has been characterized by our efforts to innovate, empower youth, and transform ecosystems across industries, all anchored in our evolution as an AI leader.

While we are encouraged by what we have achieved so far, our work here is far from over. I invite all our partners, consumers, and regional leaders to continue this journey with us in 2026 and beyond. As we pursue our ambition to establish Samsung as the undisputed leader in AI, we will strive to ensure that AI serves everyone throughout everyday life.

Together, let us shape a future where technology does not just connect devices, but connects people, communities, and possibilities across our vibrant region.
