Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear Fit2 allow users to get more out of their workouts and meet their fitness goals with detailed-yet-concise fitness information. Samsung remains committed to improving the user experience of its wearables through software updates and the GPS fitness bands’ latest update is set to improve the way data is displayed.

The update makes tracking fitness goals even easier by connecting the sports bands’ new Weight Management and Fitness Program functions to your phone’s Samsung Health application. Weight Management displays your daily exercise and food consumption, helping you to keep tabs on calories in and calories out. Fitness Program allows you to connect your sports band to your smartphone and sync with your TV, as you access, follow and control exercise video content from your device.

Several changes have been made to streamline the way information is shown. The Workout Screen is now easier to read, offering a clear view of three pieces of workout data at a time, which can be customized from options including distance traveled, calories burned, duration of an exercise, and the user’s heart rate, depending on the type of exercise. Additionally, your favorite exercises can be stored as presets on the new Multi-workouts widget, offering you speedier access to them when you’re ready to get started. What’s more, the Health Summarywidget displays your total exercise for the day, so that you check your progress with one swift glance.

The latest software update for Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear Fit2 is available to download via the Samsung Gear app.

Samsung Electronics today announced the expansion of iOS compatibility across the latest Gear family of devices including the Gear S3, Gear S2 and Gear Fit2.

Starting today, users can download the Samsung Gear S app for the Gear S2 and Gear S3 or the Samsung Gear Fit app for the Gear Fit2 on compatible iOS devices* from the Apple App Store. Once the appropriate app is downloaded, users will be guided through steps to complete pairing with the user’s compatible Samsung wearable device.

While features and functions will vary by device, iOS users will be able to enjoy the Samsung Gear S3’s timeless and stylish design, IP68 water and dust resistance, as well as the built-in GPS, Alti/barometer and Speedometer apps. It is available in two bold models – the Gear S3 frontier, which takes inspiration from the active explorer with a rugged design, as well as the Gear S3 classic, featuring an elegant style with the balance found on luxury timepieces. Users will also be able to track their fitness by monitoring distance and route traveled, running pace, calories burned and heart rate.

Samsung wearable devices with iOS compatibility are currently available in markets where Samsung Gear devices are sold.
