Available in six sizes — 43″, 50″, 55″, 65″, 75″ and 85″ — the HU8000F empowers hotel owners with powerful management tools to elevate guest stays while providing visitors with effortless streaming and connectivity options through Google Cast. The HU8000F is powered by Samsung’s Crystal Processor 4K and features HDR10+ and Dynamic Crystal Color, immersing hotel guests in one billion shades of color with lifelike clarity and detail. Additionally, its sleek AirSlim design creates an elegant, nearly bezel-free look that complements any hotel space.

The new model has expanded content options for guests by adding Prime Video to its portfolio — along with Netflix and Samsung TV Plus — which are all accessible from the Tizen OS Home. For an enhanced viewing experience, the HU8000F also includes adaptive sound technology, providing real-time audio scene analysis and quality optimization to any news program, sports game, musical performance, TV show or movie.

Hotel-Ready Features and Integrated Hospitality Solution

For centralized remote management and actionable business insights for hotel managers, Samsung LYNK Cloud streamlines global hospitality operations while helping drive incremental revenue through targeted promotions. With SmartThings Pro and a multi-code remote, hotel staff can offer personalized in-room experiences and ensure interference-free control, enhancing both convenience and guest satisfaction.

As Google Cast is integrated directly into Samsung’s hotel TV series, guests can easily access their favorite content from 5,000 Cast-enabled apps by mirroring their Android and iOS devices on the TV, without the need for additional dongles or login requirements. Embedding Cast also reduces costs for hotels and system integrators by removing the need to buy and maintain extra hub-type devices, avoiding the risk of theft for those types of devices and freeing up an HDMI port.

For hotels currently using the HBU8000, a software update will soon be available to enable Google Cast without interrupting service.^[1] This upgrade has already been successfully deployed in Indonesia at The Apurva Kempinski Bali and Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan through simultaneous software updates, demonstrating the scalability and reliability of the solution.

With Google Cast and over-the-top (OTT) integration, the HU8000F ensures seamless viewing options and an optimized solution that enhances viewing experiences.

Samsung’s hospitality display series is also built to include practical features tailored for hotel environments, including RJ12 connectors, bathroom speaker support and LAN output ports. Launched at ISE 2025, the energy-efficient Samsung Color E-Paper (EMDX model) stunned visitors with its vibrant digital ink technology and slim, lightweight design. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced its next generation of commercial displays that feature AI-powered solutions at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025.

The Samsung Color E-Paper delivers new levels of energy efficiency, while the AI features in SmartThings Pro and the Interactive Display increase the intelligence, control and usability of business-focused screens. Samsung Color E-Paper Brings Greater Energy Efficiency and Flexibility

Samsung Color E-Paper (EMDX model) redefines energy-efficient digital signage by combining digital ink with innovative full-color e-paper technology. This ultra-low power, lightweight and slim display serves as an eco-conscious alternative to traditional analog and paper-based promotional materials while delivering the high visibility and functionality that businesses demand.

Leveraging advanced digital ink technology, the EMDX operates at 0.00W power when displaying static images, while consuming significantly less energy during image transitions compared to traditional digital signage, resulting in substantial cost savings.[1] The ultra-slim and lightweight design ensures effortless installation, while the range of sizes — 13″ (1,600 x 1,200); 25″ (3,200 x 1,800); 32″ QHD (2,560 x 1,440); and an outdoor version that is 75″ 5K (5,120 x 2,880) — are optimized to cater to diverse business needs. The Color E-Paper also includes a rechargeable 5000mAh battery, two USB-C ports for charging and data transfer, 8GB of memory, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support for enhanced connectivity.

In 2025, SmartThings Pro, Samsung’s hyper-connected business-to-business (B2B) management platform, brings enhanced AI and automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency.[3]

The platform offers Interactive View, which uses AI to convert 2D floor plans into 3D images of business premises. This 3D visualization makes it easier to understand and navigate spaces intuitively, enabling business operators to manage connected devices with ease.

SmartThings Pro also features advanced automation controls, allowing businesses to adjust settings — such as power, volume and brightness — based on pre-set conditions like ambient lighting, room occupancy and store operating hours. These automated adjustments save time while ensuring devices are optimized for their environments. When using SmartThings Pro on displays, switching between content streams is equally seamless. The SmartThings Energy section presented sustainable living technologies including solar panel integration, EV-based emergency power supplies and 3D Map View for real-time energy monitoring. Visitors learned how solar panels and electric vehicles can work together to generate self-sufficient energy, with EV batteries serving as backup power during outages. They also saw firsthand how 3D Map View offers a comprehensive overview of home energy consumption and explored AI-powered energy-saving modes that optimize backup battery usage.

SmartThings Find: Offering Easy Location Tracking for Parked Cars

SmartThings Find stood out for its highly practical application and everyday convenience, enabling users to effortlessly locate their vehicles in sprawling parking lots with their Galaxy devices. Other highlights from this part of the exhibit included SmartThings-enabled features such as remote vehicle control, which can adjust the climate, as well as lock and unlock doors.

SmartThings for Ships: Harnessing Smart Technology at Sea

The SmartThings for Ships zone demonstrated how smart technology is revolutionizing marine vessels, introducing forward-thinking technologies such as autonomous navigation systems like SHIFT-AUTO and integrated smart solutions that maximize operational efficiency and safety in maritime settings.

Visitors to Samsung’s booth had the chance to explore these advancements through an immersive simulation. This hands-on experience included monitoring vessel systems, setting voyage routes and controlling onboard systems.

“The Smart Ship interactive simulation was incredibly impressive,” said Reshmee Semmen, an attendee from South Africa who expressed enthusiasm for Samsung’s promising potential in AI. “I’m excited to see how Samsung, with its long history, will continue to expand AI into so many fields.”

Smart technology is also making journeys at sea safer and more convenient for ship passengers. At the booth, visitors observed SmartThings-enabled technologies for managing essential ship and vessel systems including pre-departure device checks and five scenario-based modes (Departure, Boarding, Notifications, Care Mode, Protection Mode).

This area spotlighted technologies designed to enhance accessibility, along with global education programs like Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus.

Samsung introduced a range of solutions that enhance accessibility for all users. Visitors got the chance to experience how AI and Bixby are breaking down barriers in everyday life, enabling effortless control of home appliances and device troubleshooting through voice command capabilities.

Other highlights included AI-based text-to-speech audio subtitles — a feature that converts on-screen subtitles into speech, providing visually impaired users with access to global content — and sync accessibility settings capabilities to ensure a smooth user experience by automatically applying existing accessibility settings to new devices.

Samsung Electronics today announced Samsung Hospitality TV compatibility with AirPlay, allowing hotel guests to connect their iOS and iPadOS devices to the TVs in their rooms easily and securely.

Guests will be able to enjoy the convenience of watching their favourite shows and movies from popular streaming services, listening to personal playlists on various music platforms, viewing photos, practicing presentations, playing games and more on the TV in their room. By simply scanning a unique, on-screen QR code, guests can privately and securely connect their iPhone or iPad to the Samsung Hospitality TV.[1]

Ensuring both convenience and robust security, no personal information is ever stored or saved and all information about paired devices is automatically erased upon guest checkout. This feature not only enhances the guest experience but also provides peace of mind regarding data privacy. Additionally, hotel managers and operators can easily update their management systems to enable AirPlay technology, simplifying the integration process.

The integration of Apple AirPlay is part of Samsung’s broader strategy to enhance the in-room experience for hotel guests while providing powerful management tools for hotel operators. Samsung’s latest hospitality TVs include LYNK Cloud and SmartThings Pro for enhanced connectivity, seamless management and improved guest experience.

Samsung Electronics today announced SmartThings Pro and next-generation display technologies for its award-winning digital signage lineup. The announcement is part of the company’s participation at InfoComm, the largest professional audio-visual industry trade show in North America, held in Las Vegas from June 12 to 14.

At Booth W1225, Samsung will showcase SmartThings Pro, an evolution of SmartThings with business-focused capabilities; Samsung Color E-Paper, an ultra-low power, lightweight and slim digital paper display; exclusive new generative AI functions for the Interactive Whiteboard (WAD series); and the new Samsung Business TV BED series, a UHD TV with flexible functionality for businesses across different sectors. These solutions will be displayed throughout InfoComm, with Samsung providing demonstrations and educational sessions to highlight the products’ wide-ranging benefits.

SmartThings Pro Brings New Intelligence to Business Environments

SmartThings Pro extends Samsung’s hyper-connected smart home technology to business environments, enhancing sustainability, automating operations and improving the overall business experience. To better support business-to-business (B2B) customers, SmartThings Pro offers customizable Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for seamless integration. It also features AI Energy Mode, an intelligent power saving technology that reduces energy consumption based on ambient brightness, content analysis and motion detection. This energy-saving algorithm is available for Samsung products connected to the SmartThings Pro ecosystem.

Additionally, SmartThings Pro enables users to check the connection status of various IoT devices through a user-friendly dashboard. This dashboard provides AI to analyze connected devices, helping users use their devices more efficiently and adopt energy-saving practices.

Beyond individual users, SmartThings Pro will also improve the general operations of connected devices in corporate environments, including SMART Signage, hospitality displays, air conditioning systems, digital appliances and much more. It also helps corporate clients manage various environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, lighting more effectively by linking various IoT products. It also integrates sensors like cameras to enhance monitoring and control capabilities. These features help users automate daily configurations and setups, resulting in more efficient and sustainable operations while reducing overall business costs.

Many of Samsung’s partners already plan to use the available APIs. Some of these partners include:

• Cisco, which will demonstrate API integrations with Cisco video devices at InfoComm and show how to integrate them with Webex Control Hub for scaled deployments.

• Quividi, which will build a retail analytics solution with its online data center, VidiCenter, leveraging its new partnership with Samsung.

Color E-Paper: Extremely Efficient, Lightweight and Slim Display for Businesses

Samsung will unveil its ultra-low power display, Samsung Color E-Paper (EMDX model), for the first time at InfoComm. Seamlessly blending digital ink with innovative full-color e-paper technology, this new signage can replace analog or paper promotional materials.

The new product offers a more eco-conscious alternative to traditional promotional methods while delivering the high-visibility signage businesses need. The Samsung Color E-Paper operates at 0.00W[1] when displaying static image and consumes significantly less power than traditional digital signage when changing images. Additionally, managers can remotely control the Color E-Paper, setting schedules to save energy with automatic wake-up and sleep times.

The 32-inch screen is equipped with QHD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution and a 60,000-color gamut (six colors per pixel: red, yellow, green, blue, white and black). Weighing only 2.9kg and measuring 17.9mm in width,[2] it can be seamlessly installed in various locations, such as walls, tables or even ceilings, without additional mounts. This flexibility allows businesses and advertisers to deploy the Color E-Paper in multiple locations to effectively engage audiences while reducing operational costs.

Samsung Color E-Paper includes a dedicated mobile app[3] that allows users to easily create or change content. It also supports the Samsung VXT solution, enabling real-time monitoring and remote integrated management of multiple displays simultaneously. The VXT CMS Canvas also offers a variety of templates optimized for E-paper displays, making it easier to produce content across different verticals.

For charging and data transmission, the Color E-Paper features two USB-C type ports and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also includes 8GB of flash memory, an interchangeable bezel that allows users to change colors of the frame[4] and VESA[5] standard wall mount compatibility[6] to provide users with enhanced connectivity, customization options and flexible mounting solutions.

The Color E-Paper panel utilizes the innovative E Ink Spectra 6 technology, a groundbreaking color solution designed for in-store advertising, indoor signage and replacing paper posters. It features an enhanced color spectrum and advanced color imaging algorithm to improve marketing and advertising performance.

Interactive Whiteboard: AI Capabilities Boost the Learning Experience

First announced at ISE,[7] the Interactive Whiteboard (WAD series) will make a grand entrance at InfoComm, loaded with new features that include generative AI capabilities.

New AI-powered features include automatic transcriptions from spoken lessons and the ability to generate detailed class summaries that highlight key points and main topics. By analyzing the teacher’s voice transcription, the written material on the display and provided educational materials, it can also generate quizzes for students. It also uses machine learning to improve content accuracy and block inappropriate content.

Additionally, through a collaboration with educational technology company Merlyn Mind, the display will feature voice recognition technology optimized for educational environments. This will simplify control of the Interactive Display and help tailor its functionalities to align with school-specific curricula.

This solution meets the needs of sectors including restaurant industry, education, small/home offices and other small businesses.

Launching globally in Q3,[9] businesses can use the existing Samsung Business TV App available on Android or iOS devices to remotely manage, schedule and display customized content effortlessly. It also supports SmartThings Pro and Samsung VXT, meeting a wide variety of business needs and providing lifelike clarity through 4K image quality and smooth device management.
