Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced it will showcase new projects that, with the support of its C-Lab program, are innovating in a wide range of fields, including AI, robotics and digital health, at CES 2026, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, running Jan. 6-9.

At CES, Samsung will operate a dedicated C-Lab exhibition area to support the startups’ expansion into the global market. It will be located in Eureka Park at the Venetian Expo, the designated startup zone of CES, where participating startups will showcase innovative technologies.

“Samsung supports C-Lab startups through CES as a platform to validate innovative technologies and build momentum for global growth,” said Byoung Chul Lee, Vice President and Head of the Creativity & Innovation Center at Samsung Electronics. “This year, expanded participation from regional startups highlights the continued evolution of the C-Lab ecosystem.”

C-Lab Outside: 15 Startups That Include AI, Robotics and Digital Health

This year, C-Lab will feature 15 startups, including eight startups directly incubated by Samsung Electronics through the C-Lab Outside program, four from the Samsung Financial Networks-operated Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside, two from Samsung Electronics’ internal venture program, C-Lab Inside, and one that was jointly incubated by Samsung Electronics and the Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center.

Record Participation of Regional Startups

Since 2023, Samsung has expanded C-Lab Outside to the Korean cities of Daegu and Gwangju, as well as the Gyeongbuk province. The program identifies and supports promising startups to strengthen regional startup ecosystems, then provides workspace, stage-based consulting and opportunities to collaborate with Samsung and its affiliates. This allows startups to grow without relocating to the much larger city of Seoul and fosters a sustainable local innovation cycle.

To date, 40 regional startups have been incubated through this initiative, contributing to the revitalization of regional ecosystems and laying the groundwork for future global unicorns.

At CES 2026, seven startups from Daegu, Gwangju and Gyeongbuk will participate, marking the largest-ever presence of regional C-Lab startups at CES.

Regional Startup Achievements Continue to Grow

The technological competitiveness of these regional C-Lab startups continues to gain recognition.
Repla, a plastic recycling startup from C-Lab Outside Gyeongbuk, received a CES 2026 Innovation Award for its Puri-Checker, a device that analyzes plastic composition ratios.

“For a regional startup, collaborating with a global company like Samsung has been a valuable opportunity,” said Dong-eun Seo, CEO of Repla. “Plastic recycling is a global challenge, and CES provides an important platform to explore international market opportunities.”

• Univa (Daegu): An on-device multimodal large language model solution

Every year since 2016, Samsung has used CES to showcase projects from C-Lab Inside, gauging global market response and validating business potential.

C-Lab Startups Win 17 CES 2026 Innovation Awards

C-Lab startups have received a total of 17 CES 2026 Innovation Awards, including two Best of Innovation Awards, as announced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

Both Best of Innovation Award recipients — MangoSlab and StudioLab — originated from C-Lab Inside and later spun off as independent startups, reaffirming the technological excellence and growth potential of Samsung’s internal ventures.

Samsung Display Solutions at PLDT VITRO Sta. Rosa

Samsung’s collaboration with PLDT is part of the latter’s upcoming VITRO data center in Santa Rosa, Laguna. PLDT’s network is the Philippines’ premier information and communications technology service provider and offers managed, hybrid, and end-to-end solutions for virtual compute and storage resources. The techmaker will provide its cutting-edge display technology at PLDT’s 11th and largest hyperscale data center facility, to refine its customer experience for top enterprises in the Philippines and abroad.

A handover ceremony was held in October 2023, attended by leaders from both Samsung and ePLDT. They include SEPCO President Min Su Chu, Display Solutions business manager Seokwoo Kim, Head of Display Solutions Jasmel Lacosta, ePLDT’s President and CEO Victor S. The first Samsung Display Solutions Center, in Partnership with Versatech

Samsung’s partnership with Versatech is for the tech maker’s first-ever Display Solutions Experience Center, or the 7AV Experience Center, in Pasig City. The space showcases Samsung’s innovative displays, like The Samsung Kiosk and The Wall (All-in-One), which made its debut in the Philippines this year. 

Samsung’s 7AV Experience Center is divided into different sections, where enterprises can see first-hand how they can seamlessly integrate the brand’s professional displays in different settings, such as command centers, boardrooms, lobbies, and restaurants. Guests may also test a range of Samsung’s display innovations to find the best solution for their businesses.

A launch was held on November 30, 2023, to inaugurate the new Display Solutions Center, with Min Su Chu and Stephen Yu, Versatech International’s president, in attendance along with Samsung’s Display Solutions Team and the internal working teams of Versatech.

Samsung Electronics has once again been ranked the “The World’s Best Employer” by Forbes. This accolade marks the fourth consecutive year that Samsung has received the top ranking, a truly impressive achievement that reflects the powerful momentum the electronics giant has gathered by supporting and empowering its employees to reach their full potential. 

Using Statista, Forbes surveyed over 170,000 employees across 50 different nations including the U.S., U.K., Germany, China, India, Vietnam, Korea and others. Participants responded to the survey by evaluating their company’s social responsibility, economic performance, and working conditions — in addition to being asked whether they would recommend the company to family or friends. Furthermore, employees were also asked to evaluate other companies within the same industry. All the responses were combined into a score, and the 700 companies with the highest scores made the final list.

Companies pay no fee to participate in the survey, and are strictly prohibited from interfering with the survey process and results, with all participants having their anonymity fully protected.

Samsung’s continued success in the Forbes list stems from its employees having a high level of satisfaction and pride in their company, as well as the positive reputation that the company has in the industry. In the announcement article, Forbes highlighted how leading companies, including Samsung, are emphasizing growth opportunities, global cooperation, remote work, and providing work that is meaningful to their employees..

Samsung Electronics continues to innovate its work culture and systems to provide a comfortable and safe environment that enables employees at all levels get the most out of their work. The Samsung Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO) Gaming Insight Study found that more than half of gamers surveyed (56%) indulge in gaming more than a few times a week. This group of gamers are made up of both Gaming Enthusiasts and Hardcore Gamers, and spend a significant amount of time deeply engaged in gaming-related activities such as watching gaming videos, discussing gaming within their communities, and staying updated on gaming news.

These findings closely align with the region’s large Millennial and Gen Z population, who demonstrate a passion for gaming. In response to this, Samsung continues to push for an enhanced gaming experience for all kinds of gamers in the Philippines by launching new partnerships and devices.

Samsung at the first Gaming and Development Expo in the Philippines

The first Samsung gaming Shop-in-Shop partnership with PC Express

As an advocate for the arts and culture, Samsung has partnered with Ayala Foundation to be the official audio-visual partner of this historic occasion and to put up the first-ever The Premiere Room.

Last June 12, on the 125th year of Philippine independence, a special multimedia exhibit titled “Splendor” celebrating Juan Luna’s legacy as a master painter opened to the public.

History comes alive

Hymen, oh Hyménée!, inspired by a Roman wedding feast, won a bronze medal in the prestigious Exposition Universelle of 1889, a world’s fair held in Paris, France. Luna reached his peak as an artist with the piece, securing his status as a master painter. 

He considered Hymen, oh Hyménée! as one of his favorites and kept it at his studio for a decade. When Luna passed away in Hong Kong in 1899, the awe-inspiring work vanished. Jaime Ponce de Leon of León Gallery followed leads and clues in what he describes as a “tireless obsession.” After spending close to 10 years, he finally acquired it in 2014. It sat in a crate in his storeroom, waiting for the perfect opportunity for the homecoming it deserves.

At the heart of the Ayala Museum’s latest exhibit is the Hymen, oh Hyménée!, considered Luna’s opus, which has finally made its way home to the Philippines after 132 years.

Hymen, oh Hyménée! is the heart of Splendor: Juan Luna, Painter as Hero, a rare instance wherein an exhibition is dedicated to an individual work of art.

One of the exhibit’s highlights is a special documentary by Martin Arnaldo, which traces the recovery of the piece and paints a portrait of Luna that the public is not familiar with. The film plays on  loop in Samsung’s The Premiere Room, which features The Premiere, a smart projector TV with a massive 130-inch screen, and the Q Soundbar, with its deep bass and nuanced sound engineering. These features work together to deliver a realistic, vibrant viewing that gives guests the chance to see the film just as the director intended it.

The Premiere’s minimal and compact body is designed with the highest level of craftsmanship, meant to blend seamlessly into Samsung’s The Premiere Room – and any space. It is complemented by the Q Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, which provides the ultimate three-dimensional audio experience perfectly calibrated for any room. Guests will be captivated by unrivaled surround sound that envelopes them with heightened clarity and optimized bass.

Samsung announces “Bespoke Life” vision, reaffirming its commitment to transforming users’ lives through sustainability, connectivity, and design

SEOUL, Korea – June 7, 2023 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. will mark the beginning of a new chapter for home appliances today at Bespoke Life 2023, the company’s third annual showcase of the latest updates to its Bespoke lineup. Streaming at 10:00 EDT (16:00 CEST, 23:00 KST) on Samsung’s official website, newsroom, and YouTube channel, the event will offer an opportunity to discover how the company’s expanded “Bespoke Life” vision is transforming users’ lives through sustainability, connectivity, and design. 

“Bespoke Life embodies Samsung’s commitment to making our homes and future more sustainable by reimagining the appliances we rely on every day,” said Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of the DX (Device eXperience) Division at Samsung Electronics. “By introducing new and creative ways for users to ‘Bespoke’ their life, our latest products and solutions empower anyone to enjoy a more sustainable, connected, and stylish lifestyle.”

Sustainable Life – Technologies That Make a Positive Impact 

Samsung’s Bespoke Life concept was born out of the belief that home appliances are key to creating a more sustainable tomorrow. Accordingly, this year’s Bespoke event will highlight Samsung’s efforts to further reduce carbon emissions across the entire product lifecycle. It will also announce the launch of the new Less Microfiber Filter: a simple solution for minimizing microplastic emissions during laundry cycles. 

From sourcing and production to distribution, usage, and recycling, Samsung is redesigning each stage of the product lifecycle to help reduce energy usage and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Examples of the company’s efforts to recycle more resources include operating a closed-loop recycling center, incorporating bioplastic material from waste oil into Bespoke refrigerators’ storage baskets, and expanding its use of recycled fishing nets. Once products have been manufactured, they are shipped to users in Samsung’s eco-packaging, which began replacing plastic tape and coil with paper earlier this year.

To encourage a more sustainable living during the product use phase, Samsung continues to expand services that make saving energy effortless. Which is why, this year, new Bespoke appliances, including refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioners, will feature an upgraded version of SmartThings AI Energy Mode that will soon be available. 

In addition to promoting reductions in carbon emissions and energy usage, Samsung continues to take an active role in tackling microplastic pollution. After developing a laundry cycle that reduces microfiber discharge by up to 54% Samsung and Patagonia have teamed up once again to launch the Less Microfiber Filter. The Less Microfiber Filter is capable of capturing up to 98% of microfibers shed during laundry cycles. When used to wash two kilograms of laundry four times a week, the filter can help reduce up to 132 grams of microplastic discharge per person per year — an amount equivalent to approximately eight 500ml plastic bottles. The Less Microfiber Filter is now available in Korea and the U.K., and will roll out to other countries in Q3 of this year. 

Connected Life – Paving the Way for Hyper-Connected Homes 

To “Bespoke” one’s life is to optimize devices in ways that streamline and empower your routine. By strengthening connectivity across the lineup and expanding AI to more product categories, Samsung is paving the way for a new era of hyper-connected homes. 

Combining Samsung’s latest SmartThings enhancements and AI technology, Bespoke products offer a seamlessly automated home experience — one in which devices learn users’ usage patterns and provide personalized automation based on their smart home configuration and lifestyle. To make it easy for consumers to enjoy those experiences, Samsung has announced that it is integrating Wi-Fi support into all new Bespoke appliances and will make connectivity a standard in all Samsung appliance lineups in the coming years. 

Samsung has also announced the launch of the Bespoke Jet AI — the company’s most powerful4 cordless stick vacuum cleaner, and the world’s first to be verified by UL(Underwriters Laboratories) Solutions, a leading independent safety science organization, for AI. Combining up to 280W5 of suction power with a run time of up to 100 minutes6 per charge, the Bespoke Jet AI offers the performance required to give one’s entire home a thorough clean. Its AI Cleaning Mode7intelligently monitors brush load and vacuuming air pressure to distinguish different cleaning environments,8including the floor type, and automatically optimizes settings such as suction power and brush speed9to maximize cleaning performance, usage time, and maneuverability. The vacuum also features a new All-in-One Clean Station that produces a powerful spinning cyclone to instantly and effectively10 empty the dustbin. 

AI Energy Mode is currently available in 40 countries including the U.S. AI Energy Mode is planned for expansion in the following countries in June: Greece, South Africa, Dominican Republic, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Argentina, Ireland, Estonia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Puerto Rico, Finland. Further expansion is planned for the following countries in September: Morocco, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Israel, Egypt, Kuwait, Turkey, Tunisia. Tested with 2kg load of 100% polyester hoodies, comparing Synthetics cycle on Samsung Conventional model WW4000T and the Less Microfiber cycle on WW9400B. The results may be different depending on the clothes and environment. Tested by the Ocean Wise Plastics Lab. Tested at Ocean Wise Plastics Lab on the WW90T734DWH model (using Synthetic cycle, approximately 2kg load of synthetic textile laundry) comparing the amount of microfiber released with and without the Less Microfiber Filter installed. Stylish Life – Taking Personalized Design to the Next Level 

The three million Bespoke refrigerators that have been sold worldwide since the lineup’s launch underline consumers’ resounding interest in appliances that offer more options and functionality than the old standards. Today, this rethinking of what appliances should offer users continues to define Bespoke design — a design approach that grows more dynamic and distinct each time it expands to a new product category. 

As of this year, the Bespoke lineup now includes a total of 15 product categories available to consumers in 52 countries. Each expansion of the lineup presents an opportunity to cater to more lifestyles and needs. With this in mind, Samsung is expanding its Bespoke refrigerator lineup with the launches of the Bespoke 4-Door Flex with Family Hub+, as well as new side-by-side and top-mounted models. The Bespoke 4-Door Flex with Family Hub+ features a bezel-less, 32-inch touchscreen that is nearly twice the size of the previous model and includes even more convenient and entertaining multitasking functions. The new side-by-side and top-mounted models combine some of Samsung’s most advanced food storage technology with sleek and minimalist front panels available in a variety of colors and finishes.

In addition to launching the Bespoke AITM Washer and Dryer in the U.S. and Southeast Asia this year, Samsung continues to expand its personalization options to empower more people to customize their home. Currently available to all consumers in the U.S. since last year, Samsung’s MyBespoke customization service makes it easy for users to cultivate a kitchen look that truly reflects your way of life by using photos or artwork to create one-of-a-kind refrigerator panels. Women Supporting Women Through Open Communication

On top of being the Head of Procurement for Samsung’s Visual Display division, Clara Han is also a working mother of two children in elementary school.

“Although there is now growing movement around men participating in parenthood, women still have difficulty building and continuing their careers uninterrupted due to having children,” said Clara. “As a result, Samsung continuously strives to create a culture where employees can be recognized and grow regardless of gender, nationality or age.”

“We are trying to create an environment where each group member understands and acknowledges the individual differences so that everyone can receive the same opportunities, receive a fair evaluation and perform their best in every situation,” said Clara. “Every voice matters, and having an attitude of listening to everyone positively impacts efficiency and performance at work.”

Megan Detwiler, an engineer at Samsung, became involved with Women in Technology at Samsung (WITS) shortly after she started working at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. Within the program, Megan runs various campaigns to help raise awareness about DEI among employees. While she applauded WITS’ professional development opportunities for women, including industry conferences, classes and monthly meetings, for Megan, the most rewarding part of the program was its sense of community.

“Through WITS, I have been able to connect with people across all aspects of the company, meeting people in technical and non-technical roles, at every level of leadership, from technicians and professionals to vice presidents,” said Megan. “People like that at Samsung, especially in WITS, are invested in ensuring you are set up not just to succeed but truly grow and thrive here.”

“WITS helped me find my voice so that I have not only that confidence but also the courage to amplify other women’s voices as well,” said Megan.

Manavi Pathak, Head of Learning and Organizational Development at Samsung R&D Institute India-Bangalore (SRI-B), is also an active member of the Samsung Women’s Accelerated Network (SWAN). She highlighted how an inclusive workplace successfully meets the needs of the women who work there, noting how Samsung’s DEI initiatives and culture allow talented women to succeed.

“Women are themselves demanding more from work,” said Manavi. “At Samsung R&D Institute India-Bangalore, we have women’s leadership development programs, diversity hiring goals, day care policies, special leave, flexible schedules and more, all of which have supported my professional development and well as the careers of other woman colleagues at Samsung Research.”

“The COVID-19 crisis has reimagined the way we work. More and more women want to work for companies prioritizing cultural change and improving workplace flexibility, including employee wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion,” said Manavi. “Companies that rise to the moment will attract and retain woman leaders.”

Adam Eaglefield, an Engagement Team Manager at Samsung Electronics U.K., is also a member of the Women @Samsung ERG and its Male Allies team. This association runs mentorship and networking programs to develop female talent. He says that to realize DEI, the most important part is that we must not only listen to women but also break through unconscious prejudices and understand each other’s point of view.

“Allyship is fundamental in any cause or movement,” said Adam. “In this case, male allies can champion women in the business and industry in all interactions, from working to see representation at senior levels to ensuring women are represented and heard in everyday meetings.”

“As an ally, I make sure that I actively listen to women and their experiences, frustrations, passions and desires,” said Adam. “We must learn more about one another’s perspectives, and our own privileges and unconscious biases, and most importantly, come together to act in a positive way.”

Maria Fernanda Gonzalez, Senior Manager of Public Relations and Communication at Samsung Electronics Mexico, is also a member of Women at Samsung (SEM-S). She spoke about why she appreciated working for a company that actively empowers women and embraces equity.

“Samsung has supported me by giving me all the means to grow, not only by providing me with opportunities to grow in leadership roles but also by giving me the tools to go beyond my goals,” said Maria Fernanda. “I can be an empathetic team player that contributes to the development of my other team members.”

“I am confident that with more strong female leaders who can inspire the next generation of women, we will be able to close the gender gap in the tech industry,” said Maria Fernanda.

Lunch Talk & One Table: Gathering Employee Feedback to Improve Women’s Experiences at Work

To create a work environment that anyone can enjoy, Samsung holds annual events and campaigns for employees all over the world to celebrate special DEI days, including International Women’s Day, International Day of People with Disability and World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. For this year’s International Women’s Day, Samsung’s management and female executives will hold a Lunch Talk meeting to discuss ways to improve DEI. Samsung also will have a One Table event hosted by Jong-Hee Han to listen to the concerns faced by female employees, including female developers and working moms, and to discuss ways to foster female leadership.

The ideas discussed at the meetings will then be delivered to the DEI Secretariat and integrated into organization management. The participants and leaders of each organization will discuss how Samsung can make a consistent effort for gender equality and suggest various opinions to management, ranging from employee mindset to systemic improvement for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Global Women’s Week: Celebrating Diversity, Inclusion and Gender Equality

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Vice Chairman Jong-Hee Han and President and CEO Kye Hyun Kyung deliver a message emphasizing the importance of gender equality and DEI to all employees of the DX Division. Vice Chairman Han underlined the value of diversity, equity and inclusion with his determination to “make an effort to form an organizational culture where all employees from various backgrounds feel that they’re part of the organization.” He emphasized his goal to help employees “fully unleash their potential through equal opportunity.”

About 5,000 Samsung worldwide executives and employees worldwide interested in DEI actively participate in Samsung’s 33 ERGs, which offer everything from networking and mentoring to education at ERG. These groups work hard not only to improve the experience of Samsung employees but also to volunteer and give back to the local community. Among them, these large-scale women’s ERGs operate programs for networking and career development of female executives and employees, striving to strengthen women’s capabilities at work.

Every year since 2017, One Family Council has been holding an annual “Pink Box” charity event at Suwon Digital City for young women from low-income families. This year, a “Pink Box” containing DIY keyrings, women’s items and encouraging messages will be delivered to 100 teenagers.

During the week of International Women’s Day, overseas regional head offices also hold meetings with female employees, DEI webinars with external instructors and panel discussions, in addition to offering vacations for female employees, gift delivery events and more.

Samsung continues to work toward creating a space that goes beyond being just a workplace and fosters employees’ growth by letting them unleash their potential. Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp. (SEPCO) recently rounded off the second run of the #TeamUnstoppable, a regional brand campaign that challenges the Gen Zs and millennials of Southeast Asia to overcome barriers, uplift others and create positive change.

Building upon the success of the campaign last year, the #TeamUnstoppable 2022 movement continued to encourage young digital natives to creatively express their very own ‘unstoppable’ stories. Reaching out to the wider regional youth community who are passionate about gaming, food, fashion as well as issues in sustainability and education, the campaign this year achieved massive awareness on various social media platforms.

The #TeamUnstoppable 2022 campaign kicked off with the premiere of a regional film, featuring the stories of six inspiring individuals all over the world. The roster includes Karla Golosinda, a.k.a. ‘Queen Wrecker’ from Manila, which featured a three-part narrative on how she breaks the mold by using her platform to spread hope, inspiration, and fun to her audience. Golosinda has turned her passion for gaming into a force for good by using the funds she has raised from online gaming streams to help underprivileged students and victims of natural disasters. In addition, she also uses her online presence to advocate for women’s empowerment and wildlife conservation.

This year’s campaign was a success in its pursuit of engaging the youth as it centered on TikTok, where a brand-new generation of ‘unstoppable’ young individuals shared their authentic stories in snackable, mobile-first episodic videos.

Moreover, the campaign has encouraged many unafraid, undeterred and unwavering young people around the country to take risks, explore their creativity, and use their own social media platforms to advocate for positive change in their local communities.
