SEOUL, KOREA – August 5, 2025 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the expansion of its ongoing One UI 8 beta program to additional Galaxy devices. The update sets the foundation for advanced multimodal capabilities to more Galaxy devices across various form factors, along with more intuitive Galaxy AI experiences that simplify everyday routines.

Initially introduced with the Galaxy S25 series in May, the One UI 8 beta program will include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 beginning next week in Korea, the U.S., the U.K. and India.

In September, availability will extend to even more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54. Users can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app.

One UI 8 delivers smarter, more convenient AI experiences through multimodal capabilities that understands users’ real-time context and supports more natural interactions. When paired with the Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro, users can activate Google’s Gemini with voice or by long-pressing either earbud. In September, Samsung will roll out the official version of One UI 8, incorporating valuable feedback from beta program participants. Samsung, in partnership with UnionBank, introduces Samsung Finance+, the company’s dedicated flexible payment option for Galaxy devices in the Philippines.

Samsung Finance+ is an application-based financing program by Samsung Electronics Philippines in collaboration with Union Bank of the Philippines as a finance company licensed and supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). This application allows customers to buy their desired Galaxy Products at 0% interest, no processing fees, and as low as 0% downpayment.

Fast, Flexible and Secure

This application provides several benefits to the customers such as access to credit, ability to upgrade devices, and a convenient application process.

Customers can apply for the loan via Samsung Finance+, available in all Samsung Experience Stores and in over 1,000 partner retailers nationwide. The application process is fully digital and takes 20-30 minutes. Once approved for the loan, they can choose the device for purchase through Samsung Finance+.

Samsung Finance+ provides more flexibility than other financing plans with 0% interest, no processing fees, and as low as 0% downpayment subject to bank approval. Approvals can also be turned around more quickly, needing only one valid government-issued ID.

Samsung also ensures better security through Samsung Knox Guard, which enables protection schemes against theft, loss, or financial default. With hardware-level security built from chip-up, Samsung devices are extra protected against fraud and theft in case customers experience loss while the device is still on loan. With Knox Guard, Samsung Finance+ can also protect one’s phone should it get lost or stolen as the system can lock the phone once theft or loss is reported.

With Samsung Finance+, Samsung now has a gateway to help more Filipinos to build good financial habits, providing a structured framework for effectively managing one’s budget. Once the loan is approved, the Samsung Finance+ customer app is auto-installed in the new device which allows the user easy access to all the information they need regarding the loan – including repayment schedule, and options for payment.

The Galaxy AI Festival took off with exciting performances from world class performers brought together by Samsung. Local artist Maki kicked off the night with hit song “Dilaw” followed by an electrifying performance by Nation’s Girl Group, BINI with a back-to-back play of their best hits and featuring the trendy summer hymn, “Pantropiko”.

Transcript Assist uses AI technology to transcribe voice recordings into text with Galaxy AI, so you can also summarize and even translate voice recordings. A newly added Composer from Samsung Keyboard generates suggested text based on simple keywords for email and supported social media apps, even reflecting your tone by analyzing previous posts.

Meanwhile, creativity and connectivity features were showcased to exemplify that there’s so much more to life – the all-new Sketch to image allows you to create more sophisticated art pieces by generating image options when you simply sketch or draw on the photos in Gallery or Note screen. The Dual Screen Mode Interpreter  is an improved version of the interpreter which allows you to translate conversations back-to-back, hands-free and more naturally. 

The Galaxy Z Flip6 also features FlexCam Auto Zoom – just set down the device anywhere and it can do the angling for you – along with interactive and ambient FlexCam Wallpapers to showcase your style. 

Samsung also continued to innovate on the design of both devices, which now have an ergonomic squared-off symmetrical straight edge design and a matte finish. It’s the slimmest and lightest Galaxy Z series ever, optimized for portability.
