<p>A custom-built Mood Calculator captures and processes live data to generate a “Mood Score” for Piccadilly Circus, which determines which of six creative ‘mood’ states appears across the Piccadilly Lights. On launch day (17 December 2025), a large-scale lighting takeover will synchronise the surrounding architecture with the screen content mood colour. For the following six days, the responsive screen creative will continue to inspire visitors. Each mood state links directly to Samsung’s AI-enabled products and connected ecosystem, showing how AI already powers everyday life across home, health, entertainment and productivity.</p>

<p>To capture the city’s rhythm, the system processes anonymised crowd density and movement patterns, local weather conditions and time-of-day signals through an on-site data engine. The Piccadilly Lights then delivers full-motion displays of the relevant creative in real time, supported by fallback and manual override options to ensure brand-safe delivery.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The campaign has been developed with a strict privacy-first approach. All visual data is processed securely on-site, with no facial recognition, no personal identifiers and no recording or storage of imagery, and only anonymised numerical data is used to trigger creative outputs.</p>

<p>By turning a public location like Piccadilly Circus into a responsive digital installation, Samsung shows how AI-enabled technology can adapt to real life.</p>

Interbrand releases its list of “Best Global Brands” each year. For this year’s list, Samsung recorded a brand value of $90.5 billion, upholding its position as the only Asian company to remain in the global top five since 2020.</p>

<p>This partnership will see cutting-edge technology integrated across a range of different developments. These will include supporting the BTR and PBSA sectors with new apartment schemes in Birmingham and London, as well as serviced apartments, co-living spaces and high-end office developments in Central London. Boxbuild are set to deliver more than 1,000 units a year, with plans to grow this number. The first project will launch in late 2025, and the first installations are expected for March of next year.</p>

<p>This is the first time that Samsung will be working with a direct supplier to the BTR and PBSA markets. The partnership with Boxbuild will enable a joint, digital-first approach to designing and creating spaces with the right connectivity and appliances built in from the start. This will improve project efficiency, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, future-proof and set new benchmarks for quality, design and functionality. Additionally, building connectivity in from the very start of a project will mean that consumers can take advantage of a full range of smart devices, appliances and automated routines. Using smart devices, they will be able to improve their energy efficiency, cutting costs, and will be able to reduce the <a href="https://news.samsung.com/uk/the-invisible-load-index-conducted-by-samsung-reveals-the-hidden-burden-of-europeans-daily-household-tasks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invisible mental load</a> of household chores utilising home connectivity.</p>

Eventually, that will replace the nine to five. It did for me!</li>

Interbrand releases its list of “Best Global Brands” each year, and on this year’s list, it was revealed that Samsung’s brand value reached $100.8 billion and grew by 10% year-on-year.</p>

<p>The significant increase of Samsung Electronics’ brand value was driven by growth in the AI industry, particularly its leadership in on-device AI and competitiveness in the semiconductor sector. Since its first top five ranking in 2020, Samsung Electronics has experienced an impressive 62% growth over four years and remains the only Asian business among the global top five brands.</p>

We are supportive of the new UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) legislation that comes into law, effective from today, 29<sup>th</sup> April, 2024 and believe it will offer more transparency to customers.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>From today, (in summary) in the UK, it will not be legal to sell internet or network connectable products<span style="font-size: small;"><sup><a href="#_ftn1" name="_ftnref1"><span>[1]</span></a></sup></span> unless they meet the following three requirements:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<ol>
<li>Products cannot use a universal default password or one that is easy to determine.</li>
<li>Manufacturers must provide a public point of contact to report security vulnerabilities in products.</li>
<li>Manufacturers must publish the minimum amount of time a product will receive security updates.</li>
</ol>
<p>We confirm that all Samsung products covered by the new law that were released in the UK in the last three years already comply with these requirements.
